It’s strange to think about how bothered by the heat Chuchi was. Whether it was a combination ot all the fat and fur, or her heavy lunch or both….Chuchi was being a little bit whinier than usual. It’s almost funny, considering Andres had considered evolving her into a Flareon back in the day. That is, until she’d eaten the Everstone he’d given her while he tried to acquire a Fire Stone. “Aah- Thanks compa!” Andres said as he watched his partner perk up when the Glaceon got closer. He could feel the cool air on his toes. Like instant AC on the beach. [break][break]

Dramatic as she was being, Chuchi did begin to feel way less overheated, sighing in relief and tail wagging lazily behind her. She indulged in the cold for a minute before looking up at Melpomene curiously. It wasn’t often she got to meet with pokemon like her. At least, it’d been a while since she’d seen an eeveelution. Though, one could hardly guess the obese normal type and more graceful, ice type were related in any way. Chuchi couldn’t move like that if she tried. [break][break]

Martín. The blonde nodded, memorizing face and name before slapping his hand in his new friend’s and giving the man a good shake. “Same to you. You saved me a trip to the pokemon center for her.” He said as the Eevee stared up at Melpomene with a mix of admiration and curiosity. Still laying on her belly, she didn’t make a move to get up, but Andres could clearly tell she would follow the Glaceon if they tried to go back to minding their own business. “Are you a local by any chance, Martín?”

Andres let out a small, nervous laugh as he tried to correct himself. “I meant more- if he stole anything I would be more than happy to take you out to make up for it~” he said, allowing the little pup to jump him. He dind’t really seem too bothered but stopped trying to encourage Logi when Sol ordered him to stop. He didn’t want to interfere with her training. “He’s got energy. Puppies are a handful, huh.” He said grinning up at the ginger before looking over at Chulito. Now that he had been acknowledged, the Stoutland was trying his best to goad Rygi into playing with him, rushing up to him before jumping back at the last second. [break][break]

“Sol huh?” he echoed as if he’d misheard the woman. “I guess now I know why it’s so hot out today.” He said winking knowingly at the redhead. He stood up, dusting the sand off his knees from playing with Logi. He’s completely unaware he was already on thin ice, striding on it without a care in the world. “Good to see you, Sol~ But maybe I should’ve put on some sunglasses.” [break][break]

He finally managed to look away from his terrible courtship, and over at Chulito, currently rolling in the sand near Rygi without a care in the world. His grin softened knowing he’d probably have to be careful about letting Chulito play in such a crowed area. “Ay, if you live close by, can I get your phone number? You know for the lunch, and maybe for a play date for Chulito. It’d be good for him to make friends with other pups.” He said before nodding over at Sol’s own pup, Logi.

Andres snickered politely as the pinkette grew more and more flustered at his advances. He turned his head in an attempt to give her a breather and to also focus on the pokemon. As Andres retrieved his newest catch, Chuchi eyed the other, smaller Eevee with big eyes. “Be nice, Chuchi.” Andres warned as the Eevee helped the stranger take care of the Slowpoke. She snorted at the blonde, shaking her own sandy fur before looking towards the shore as she heard something make a weird peep noise. To her delight, a little Pinurchin moved past them ever so slowly on the wet sand. Her eyes were bright and once again she rushed mouth opening up before clamping down onto one of the electric spikes. [break][break]

The panicked pokemon letso ut bursts of electricity, crackling loudly, but Chuchi’s mouth remainds clamped shut, lifting it by the spin and shaking it like a ragdoll before tossing it towards the sand near her owner. “Oh, hey, good Bite, Chuchi!” Andres encouraged as she padded back to him proudly while he inspected the dizzied and terrified electric type. “They’re cute too, a plus.” He said as he dropped another pokeball onto the Pinurchin before turning back to Luka as she finished her second catch. “Oh congrats!” he exclaimed, clapping a few times for the girl. “I’m Andres by the way. So, you don’t have to think of me as guy-who-I-hit-on-literally.” He said with a small wink. “Nice to meet you~” [break][break]

He was running a few hours early right now. Dressed and ready for his shift at the little dog chef’s place, Andres had acquired himself some rather sleek looking formal wear. He’d invested a bit into it, buying it wholesale and then taking it back to a tailors to do some trims, add some embroidery. You know, just a bit to make it more unique to him. The jacket fit well, but not too tight that it stretched when he tried to take it off. The matching slacks hugged his legs closely but not to the point of stretching or wrinkling too much when he walked. And his dress shirt at the very least was cool enough. Hopefully it’d stay that way. He looked up at the clouds and hoped the weather stayed tame. Breezy and overcast. Better than sunny and clear. Summers in Hoenn were so harsh after all. [break][break]

His plan is to get to Slateport a bit early, ang around the beach, perhaps flirt with a few tourists and curious strangers that were visiting the little beach stall. Ok, maybe that was the main reason he was going early. But it was good marketing! Pretty faces absolutely drew in customers! Why else would video game conventions have booth babes?! His thought process is interrupted by rather loud meowing and he slowed in his pace. [break][break]

Andres had more so gone autopilot, picking the quickest route to get to his destination. He moved towards the source, coming upon a young man staring up at a rather…fat cat stuck in a tree. There’s a small attempt to nudge it out of there that failed, and Andres can’t help but gravitate towards them. “Ey, Princesa, need help getting your kitty down?” he asked flashing a grin and he rested his hands in his pockets and nodded up at the fat cat. He didn’t wait for a response, hearing another distressed mewl. Carefully, trying really hard to be suave about it, he let out his Chimchar who bounced out of the beam of light and onto the ground. “Do you mind, lending them a hand?” he asked bending forward as the monkey looked up at him. Figuring it would be fun, the fire type began to claw at the tree before nimbly climbing up it and beckoning at the Purrugly to play.
