“Artie…this is so cool.” He said to his date as the horse drawn carriage came to a stop in front of the observatory. He hadn’t expected this set up. Especially when he had gone himself to pick up the blonde for their party. He had thought the event a fun idea and had been happy the little prince hadn’t rebuffed him when he’d offered to take him. It was a cool date if he said so himself. Date…being a looser term for the pair but it was the easiest way to explain it to his friends. As the carriage came to a stop, Andres popped up, eager to see the party inside. He held out a hand as gallantly as he could, helping his date out of the Really Fancy Horse Carriage, and began to lead him inside. The place was already packed with everyone dressed in their best. Andres had given it the good old college try too. Unfortunately, he wasn’t that well verse in formal wear. Streetwear being far closer to his realm of thought. Nevertheless, he’s tried! Andres is patient, letting his words sink in and trying to imagine the kind of face Luka was pulling. He almost felt bad for always teasing her…but she made it so easy it was hard to cut her a break. At least now she had the added buffer of him not being able to see her. He didn’t know the best moment to go in for the kill now. Oh well. But then she turned the tables and now its Andres’ time to sputter sitting up straight for a moment. He couldn’t tell if she was messing with him. “A-A what?!” He racked his brain for a moment trying to think of any and all pokemon that looked like aliens, that would be home pests. The best he could come up with was “You mean an Elgyem?? Maybe? Short, kinda green psychic types?” he offered, clearly confused by her revelation. [break][break]

He sank back down into the water, trying to take his mind off the alien. She’d probably been messing with him. Good one. Andres 1. Luka 1. There’s a small bark as Chuchi piped up when Luka called her chubby, the normal type making a couple of splashes to show she was listening. Andres laughed at her before answering Luka. “Believe it or not, my little Chuchi eats like a Wailord.” He said. “We met ‘cause she snuck into my camp during my first gym challenge and then ate all my curry. Then she stowed away in my backpack.” Chuchi had been a little softer, meeker even but still playful as she was now. [break][break]

He heard splashing and the soft laughing of a little pokemon and grinned proudly. Got ‘er. He wished he could see her face right now as she struggled, but peeking over the partition would only end up with him wit ha bloody nose at best. He would just have to imagine how funny it was. “Baah, if its illegal, won’t you be my partner in crime?” he called over.

He’s still embarrassed even if it’s only one other person. Especially when he noted Chuchi had definitely gotten her splash zone within his radius. Though she seemed unbothered and didn’t even offer an apology as she rolled onto her back like a Buizel and wagged her tail to gently propel herself through the water. “Uhhh- Of course!” the words are automatic as he settled in his section of the bath, using the small towel he’s grabbed to cover his crotch. The water is hot, but it only burned upon settling in. His body eventually readjusted to the raised temperature and began to relax. He’d massage his legs while he was here. But first, his poor bath mate his pokemon had harassed. He’d agreed so easily, but he wasn’t exactly sure he was going to make anything up. So, he decided to apologize once more. “Sorry about…her. Sometimes Chuchi gets excited, guerito.” He clocked the fellow blonde as a little bit younger than him but not by a lot. Probably. Couldn’t trust the baby face. But he didn’t sound that much off from him. “Oh! I can grab you an extra towel-” he stated turning his back to Artie and flashing him a full moon as he stood up to see if there were any hanging by the entrance of the lockers. “Oh- Weird...I’ll have to get that for you later then.” He said, as he was most definitely not walking out right after jumping in. He already felt a slight chill from getting out of the water so quickly and slid back into the bath, flashing Artie despite his best attempts not to just minutes ago.

His concern quickly morphed into a grin as the woman spoke up and didn’t sound all to upset at him. Good. He was really trying not to be the condescending gym bro. It hadn’t felt good when he’d first started, and he wanted to make sure he never acted that way towards others. “But of course, Querida.” He returned. He doesn’t flinch, going along with it but when he’s about to leave he stopped once more. [break][break]

“Oh-! Well, your whole body? Or just endurance?? Or like…muscle mass? We gotta get a little bit more specific.” He replied as he leaned on the machine she’d been using. “If you’re just trying to start out, maybe a base level leg and arm work out. Like pushups, squats, leg press, dumbbell lifts.” He tried to mime some of them as they came to him, reaching for simple things she could use without much equipment. “If you don’t have equipment at home, probably good to learn some body weight exercises too.” He added, though he didn’t think this was too helpful. She’d been kinda vague after all. “Like said, specifics. Is there something you’re training for specifically?”

Andres tried to stifle his laughter, but he rolls with her words regardless. "Don’t worry, I’m use to it. It’s the irresistible good looks.” He said as he ran a hand through his hair, only to knock off his own hat. The blonde let out a small curse in surprise before moving to pick up before a gust of wind took it away. Quickly settling the hat back on his empty head, he looked back at Luka. “Seriously, don’t worry about it. It’s practically numb now.” He added a little more casually. As he did, Chuchi sidled up next to him before planting herself firmly in front of Sugar, sniffing at Luka before sizing up the skinnier Eevee. [break][break]

At the compliment, she’s pulled form her investigating and looked up at Luka with wide eyes brimming with barely containable energy. Her tail wagged behind her quickly as she let out a small bark in acknowledgement before moving her attention back to Sugar. “Hehe, thank you! She was my team’s anchor when I was still doing gym challenges, so you could say she’s tiny but mighty.” And she knew it too. Though, he didn’t say that out loud, not wanting Chuchi to headbutt him in public. Again. “I like your Eevee too…are you a coordinator?” Chuchi at this point was moving in closer to Sugar to interrupt her grooming, before distant splashing drew her attention, and her head snapped towards the sound. She let out a small yip, as if letting Andres know she was moving before practically jumping away form the group and heading straight for a Swampert. The poor dual type is digging a hole in the sand, probably looking for something to eat as Chuchi barreled towards it. She smacked into the Swampert and despite her size managed to force him on his side. As they engage, Andres doesn’t really pay much mind. “I only ask because- ah- she just seems a little reluctant, you know?” He’d caught a little bit of Sugar’s efforts in helping her trainer catch pokemon. It was the opposite of Chuchi, who was now busy trying to stay attached to a Swampert while it flailed violently in an attempt to dislodge the pokemon that was gripping onto it for dear life. She lets out another sound as she let go when tossed into the air before dive bombing the Swampert with another Headbutt and smacking them both into the wet sand. Andres turned to look, reaching for a pokeball in hand. “Good catch Chuchi!! You really want those burgers, huh?” he said as the little Eevee wagged her tail, panting lightly while the Swampert lay in the shore. Andres chucked a pokeball, smacking the poor lad. His words were mostly friendly, but he can’t help but take paused as he heard choking. He stayed perfectly still for a moment in case, somehow, the poor girl drowned in 5 ft of water. But when he heard her attempts to speak, he only seemed to grin. She was ok, so he would enjoy being able to get to her. Even from 15 ft away. “Orale chiquilla, that’s the first time I’ve ever had a girl choke from this distance.” Once more, he knows exactly what he’s doing and its clear his goal is to rile the poor woman up. “Yeah, let’s do it next time! It’d be fun to catch up more face to face, you know?” he added the change in his tone almost too obvious. Insolent and shameless as he was, Andres still considered Luka a friend. Maybe they weren’t close and maybe it was even one sided, but he liked her, and he craved socialization. In many ways, he was much like the dogs he trained. Overflowing with energy and nowhere to put it to. “Ahh~ Good for you. What’ve you been up to? Caught anything since our last meeting?” he asked, pressing his back into the worn rock edge. He sank back down to his shoulders, resting his head on the rocks. “Well, you’re right about that!” he said with a laugh. “Me and Chuchi spent all day climbing the volcano and training. I can barely move my arms, Lukita~” he complained. At this, there’s another splash as Chuchi got out of the bath and jumped back in. Throwing herself into the hot water for whatever reason. Andres snickered at the normal type, turning back to his friend. “You wouldn’t be able to come over and help me rub this knot out, would you?” Again, his tone shifted to something more joking as he went ahead and worked his own muscles. “I won’t tell if you don’t~” he added, voice sing song as he tried to knead lactic acid out of his tired arms. As far as he knew, Mr. Del Mar had a very busy job as some CEO Bank Boss...high Earner. An office job that was very important and very busy. Enough to warrant a personal assistant that he’d only caught a glimpse of a couple of times. The man was busy, far busier than Andres with his couple of part times was. So, when he’d gotten a text about hanging out, Andres had been more than happy to more a couple of things around his schedule to meet up. And by that he meant just not going to the gym twice a day. It just so happened his muscles needed a bit of relaxing, because his muscles always needed relaxing. Putting them through constant stress at work and on his off time did that to a man. He’s familiar with the locker rooms now and is quick to rinse off and stirp down. But when he began to make his way towards the usual, an attendant quickly checks his name off a list before dragging him in the opposite direction. Andres assumed the worst for a moment as he’s moved through emptier, loftier spaces before popping out at a quiet hot spring. The noise of a small bamboo fountain moving and smacking on the ground is the only thing breaking the silence. And then, he saw the man of the hour, and Andres proceeded to smash through the remaining peace and quiet himself. [break][break]

“Martín! Good to see you compa!!” He greeted, splashing unceremoniously into the warm waters, and wading towards his friend. The hot water instantly began to soothe some pain from his legs. A little massage ere and there and he’d be able to shake off the stiffness that had been following him for the past couple of hours. “Business been good? I feel like I’m seeing more of your little kitty commercials than usual.” He added, settling next to the brunette before dunking his whole body underwater for a moment before resurfacing and wiping his face off. “Have you been waiting long?” [break][break]

There’d been a significant push to visit the hot springs as of late. He wasn’t blind to the marketing and the constant advertisement of it all. Even the possible inclusion of coupons and deals, the laundry list of benefits for people and pokemon, and the new and exciting date or hang out location all combined had made him want to revisit the hot springs. Less for relaxation and more just to see what had changed. After all, he’d already been around once a bit back and it had helped relax his muscles after hiking up Mt. Chimney. [break][break]

The energy is high and after Andres paid for his ticket, he’s quick to make his way to the male section. Chuchi is already rushing forward as well. With one hand, Andres pulled off his backpack and the other pulled off his tank top. His Eevee recognized the trainer before he did, shouting a greeting at the pinkette and staring up at her. Andres is slow to turn, dropping his arms to reveal nothing but skin and muscle. His perked up excitedly nevertheless, shame a foreign concept to the man. “Oy, Luka! Good to see you!” he said waving at her as he stepped through to the locker rooms. [break][break]

Chuchi scurried after him, already darting in to find an empty locker before her trainer continued to strip. The pair eagerly wash up before stepping out to the hot springs with nothing but a couple of towels. One for Andres’ privacy and a dry one for Chuchi after she was done soaking. Andres eyes the tall partition separating him from his friend. No matter. Chuchi and him plop down at a spot right next to it, sighing contently as they slip into hot water. Then Andres called out over the partition. “Luka? Mi fresita, how’ve you been? If I’d known you were coming, we could’ve gone into the bath together!” he said as he dunked his head under the water. He hadn’t exactly known what to expect when kris flynn-edwards had mentioned a pool party instead of drinks. Company pool party wasn’t exactly a common phrase and start time at 11 pm is even rarer. But, despite his friend’s tone, the place was definitely going off. He hadn’t been to a mansion house party, at least not one this large. This was a different kind of high class to whatever he may have seen in his youth. The sheer opulence of it all is enough to make him relieved he didn’t actually BYOB. Andres didn’t even realize there was a theme to it, more so here for the hot girls in bathing suit and shirtless men not…space alien cosplay. But he improvises putting on glitter and glow in the dark handprints on his chest and streaks on his cheeks. [break][break]

Almost instantly as they’re cruising through, taking in the sights he’s quick to spot a water carrying an assortment of colorful, translucent concoctions in small star shaped shot glasses. He’s quick to flag them down before stealing the whole tray of berry flavored jello shots for himself. “Luka! You’re not a lightweight right? You’ve gotta try these.” He said as he put an arm around her shoulders and showed off the tray. Its not long before he’s already sucking down one of his own. [break][break]

They were kind of a pain in the ass to make so it’s been a while, but the blonde is nevertheless eager to share the joy. “Hey horndogs! I probably shouldn’t offer, but help me and my friend clear these~” he said waving over at a couple??? Nearby and nodding over his stolen tray of drinks. “Better get ready to avert your eyes if it gets even hotter and heavier, Rosita.” The warning was slightly genuine, knowing how easily flustered the poor woman was. Or maybe, he joked around with her too much. “What kind of company has this much money to rent a mic mansion, haha.” He asked aloud as he dolled out the shots to those who were willing to take them before sucking down a second.
