for a moment, uri uses a lot of his brain power. he leans his ROSY SKIN cheek against the palm of his hand.

"you know, i've gamed with this dude forever and our tandem name is THE SIMPS. maybe we can pick something similar?"

little does he know the other half of THE SIMPS is kyle lopez himself.

palpitoad is definitely not what they're looking for, but it definitely is cute.

"aw, look at you, bud."

uri can't help but approach the water-type. he leans down to pat the bubble on its head. it squishes under his hand, soft and bouncy like jelly.

"that's how you suck in water, huh?"

pulling out a water bottle, uri pours it over palpitoad's head, watching it suck into its bubble without ever drenching the PILE OF LEAVES below.

there's not much in his kitchen for them to possibly FEAST on, so their options are limited to begin with.

from the couch, he tips his head back to look into the kitchen at her.

"soup sounds really good. can you put sausages in them, too? and make sure they're cut in small pieces?"

tonight, right when the STARS ARE ALIGNED, is when he decides to finally go out to catch some wild pokemon.

like a wolf searching for a lamb, perhaps.

"you see anything, kyle?"

named after his partner kyle lopez, obstagoon looks around, then shakes its head.

"damn. let's keep looking."

apparently so, as she says exactly what she needs to.

"...fine."

still, he smiles, then leans in to kiss her before walking over to the couch and plopping down. he exhales, finding comfort in the soft cushions as his head tilts to peer out of the window at the FULL MOON.

uri bounces his leg as he waits, clearly impatient and hungry for food.

"the food trucks parked at the beach are really good. the burgers are great."

it's not a suggestion, so he doesn't bother to argue.

"yes, ma'am."

up the elevator and down the hall they go, reaching the familiar space of his apartment. it's still surprisingly clean and not messy in the slightest.

the lights flick on as they step in.

"what can i help with?"

"uh, we actually hate fancy places, thanks."

which is part of the reason why he has a bit of money saved up. they don't eat out much, and when they do, it's rarely at the fanciest of places. most of the time it's food trucks.

"come on. what are you in the mood for?"

what more could he ask for, honestly?

so, he takes her hand, then leads them out of the hospital and back to his place. after a short cab ride, they arrive.

he closes the door to the cab behind her after she steps out, and it's only then that a thought occurs to him.

"oh shit. we don't need to stop for groceries, do we?"
