Siren finds a friend really fast on Melody Miro 's Hatterene, the Hatterene has been staring at Siren which she quickly strikes the back of Hatterene with a joyful cry. Lyssa, who is looking at it, can only pat the top of her head. "Yeah, she is quite adorable but she loves to move alone and be selfish. I swear I can't take my eyes off from her" Lyssa says casually to her conversation partner. However, once she takes a better look at the woman that she is talking to - Her eyes widened.

When she first arrived in Hoenn, what Lyssa did first was to look for famous people within the Hoenn region out of whim. From many names that swimming in her brain, one person's name and looks remain on her mind and that is the one and only Melody Miro. The famous singer and a Rhytmn Gym Leader. She often listens to her songs and reads the news about her, as time flies - Lyssa becomes a big fan of Melody. Now, the person right in front of her is Melody herself and Lyssa finds it hard to talk due to being awe-struck. Suddenly, Thalia nudges her dress wanting her attention - She is pointing at something that is floating around above like a housefly... "Is that... A pokemon?" Lyssa questioned it unsure, it is hard to see the Unown from her position to tell what Pokemon it is.

"Do you want to try to capture it? Miss Melody?" Lyssa asks then she suddenly realized that she hasn't introduced herself. "Ah, where is my manner. My name is Eylyssa Kay but you can call me Lyssa. I am a big fan, I often dance to your performance" Lyssa introduces herself.

His shock about her decision on using Perish Song is understandable. A normal trainer would have used that as a last resort but for Lyssa - There is no difference between using it at the beginning or on the end. "A dancer sometimes to incorporate a bold move on their dance to captivate people after all" Lyssa declares with a smile and looks at Khione meaningfully when Tyrunt starts to rush toward her to tackle the Absol. Unlike before, Khione is ready for it and she beautifully evades it by sidestepping making a distance between them.

"Khione, how about we do a duet dance with Tyrunt now? use DETECT and dance with his next move accordingly!"

Khione manages a distance between them and staring at Tyrunt, observing his movement to detect the movement that he will do so she can evade it beautifully. Lyssa understands that Khione is a proud fighter, her pride won't let her not use a move that she learns just because it might be cowardice or pose a threat to herself. That's the reason why Lyssa uses Perish Song at the beginning and tries to launch a counterattack on the next turn to finish this as soon as possible before the song effect starts.

The man explains what he is doing currently - While she manages to understand that he doesn't bear any ill will to be here, she doesn't fully comprehend the novelty of the new technology that he claimed. He displays how the mechanism works by capturing a Beeheyem and like she expected from listening to the mechanism - Lyssa wasn't impressed. "That is a nice device" Lyssa throws out empty praise. The empty praise was not meant to be an insult but a way for her to alluding her way to the critique that she wants to convey. "However, if I may ask, what makes this device so special compared to the old-fashioned catching a pokemon by throwing it?" Lyssa poses a question that made her curious as she can't think of anything that beats the old fashion way other than eliminating the effort of the throwing act.

While her attention is directed to Jack and his device, Khione suddenly barks calling for her master's attention that there is a wild Beeheyem appear once again. Lyssa grabs a Pokeball in her pocket and lets it expand as she takes it out, with a swift moment - She throws the Pokeball from his behind. The similar mechanism of capturing from the Pokeball that Jack shows earlier happens, displaying that the Pokeball that he uses is not any different from the commercial Pokeball.

Having to travel around means that Lyssa encounters various people and listens to many stories from them - Either good stories or a concern that is currently happening. The most recent story that she listened to is the story of a local farmer of Littleroot town that she met by accident and hit it off at the local restaurant. A certain pokemon claims to be accused of abducting the farmer's pokemon - When Lyssa hears about the pokemon, she starts to think that the accusation might not be far off. Since that farmer is kind enough to treat her to a grand feast in that restaurant yesterday - Lyssa is planning to repay the debt and solve this problem.

Lyssa is not much of a hunter, she practically has zero experience in tracking or hunting a single pokemon. The pokemon that she meets more often is like a game of chance where she doesn't know what kind of wild pokemon she is going to meet. Lyssa already learns which area bears what kind of pokemon in general but trying to hunt Beeheyem specifically is another matter. Therefore, Lyssa currently just grazing the perimeter alongside Khione hoping for her ability to sniff the Beeheyem out. Instead Beeheyem, Lyssa noticed a man with some kind of launcher on a device.

"Here for the Beeheyem too?" Lyssa approaches the man raising a question. To her right now, he looks suspicious but doing anything to him under suspicion is bad. Therefore, she decides to play around with the surface of the water by throwing some questions to find out his goal to be here. "Interesting device you got there, what does it do?"

Skyler takes it like a champ and without wasting any time - she emptied out the bottle. Not wanting to get left behind, Lyssa follows the suit and dumps all the liquid from the bottle straight to her throat. The warmth feeling quickly fills out inside her body, she can feel her cheeks flushed from the alcohol but this is still far from her limit. Lyssa let out a loud and long exclaim of content from consuming the sake. "Story told that if a human can outdrink a dwarf, then a land dweller can outdrink sailor!" Lyssa challenges Skyler's claim playfully, raising her empty bottle upside down to prove it is truly empty. Call it adrenaline, euphoria, or the alcohol that do the talking right now but when Lyssa hears about a bet - Her eyes start to sparkle. She is a traveler after all - She wouldn't get scared from an unknown like this.

"Bet? What kind of bet?" Lyssa stares at Skyler and ask.

Khione stands gallantly in the arena, for a disaster pokemon - Khione feels like a knight in shining armor. Khione is not rushing to the battle, judging how Tyrunt will move. Tyrunt takes the first moves and launches a ball of rocks toward Absol as the result of Tyrunt's ANCIENT POWER. The attack comes fast which made Khione unable to evade it so she stands up gallantly and takes it like a champ. Dust collected around her but she quickly shakes it away ignoring the pain that she receives. It takes more than a single hit to defeat Khione after all. "Keep at it Khione!" Lyssa cheers, "Now let entertain the people here with the song of your people! Khione use PERISH SONG!" Lyssa declares with a raised arm like a general giving out an order.

Khione starts to howl as if he was singing, a morbid tune that brings the sense of the end approaching the pokemon who is listening to it. For someone who is stoic like Khione, she actually enjoys singing - As morbid as it is, the melody is beautiful. As the song ends, Tyrunt will faint soon if Keenan doesn't intervene in any way. "Khione, remember - Don't let your guard down!" Lyssa shouts reminding Khione to not be complacent.

'Okay, I hope he didn't realize that I think of him as someone mental' Lyssa thought to herself as she jumps down with nimble feet and break the fall by front-rolling right beside Fern.

"This would finish faster if you actually help, you know" Lyssa blurt out, patting her body from the dust. "Now I am interested in why you decide to just stand there and not doing anything? Hit me with your best reason" Lyssa confronts Fernando, ignoring the identity of the man.

As Keenan is busy registering for them, Lyssa plays around with Khione and Agni a little bit until Keenan calls for her. "I wouldn't mind but instead of this fella for the second battle" Lyssa trails off for a bit while pointing at Agni. "I want my other pokemon to have an experience in a fight. So, I want Siren to be my second pokemon" Lyssa let her Primarina out. Since this is two single battle and not a duo battle - Thalia get time to rest. After that, she proceeds to register Khione the Absol and Siren the Primarina as the pokemon that she will use for the battle.

After that, they got guided to the arena and show their position to start the battle. In the first battle, Lyssa decides to pick Khione first as she is also eager to fight. However, before the fight - Lyssa decides to have a talk face to face with her own pokemon, "Okay, Khione. Being eager is fine but don't let your guard down okay. Let's have fun and win this okay buddy?" Lyssa says it to Khione while she answers with a nod. Khione stands tall in the arena waiting for the foe to come.
