Oliver facepalmed a little as he took to the food slowly, hoping he wouldn't throw it all up later. That was true...partially. Ollie had his wallet on him, so looking at the id would have given it away anyways. If the guy had decided to check it anyways. Andres was as helpful as he was last night...well, this morning. Nodding, he called his phone, not forgetting the cute as hell nickname he was given. Luckily, Dragonite was there, and after explaining about where he was, he got a bark of confirmation. Hanging up, Ollie hoped that his faithful companion would be alright. Continuing to nibble at his breakfast, the redhead did ask for a simple thing. "Say...mind if we exchanged phone numbers? So we can hang out later...and for me to repay you for everything. You've really been wonderful. Maybe odd to say this, but being new to the region, I don't exactly have friends here besides my Pokemon. If it's alright with you of course..."

Oliver hoped that would be alright. It didn't take long for a knock at the door to happen. And outside it, his trusty Dragonite, who waved. The red head got escorted home...and hoped he and Andres could find time to just get to know each other.

Ollie made no complaints, and just slept. Hard. Not a snore, didn't wet himself, or anything. At 8:00 am sharp, he jolted up in a frazzle. And immediately did not know his surroundings. He wasn't completely unscathed from his drinking self...his migraine was god awful. Every step made his head pound. And his shin and knee was throbbing too. He mustn't have gone as hard as he thought, seeing as he still remembered everything from the previous night, and he was still tired. At least the smell from the kitchen was good. The red head tentatively stood up. Taking a few steps, he made sure that he could walk straight. He could, with a limp. Even with a throbbing brain. He also really needed to pee.

The young man navigated well enough to the kitchen. Looking extremely sheepishly as he did the bathroom dance, he spoke up. "Um...where's the bathroom? And do you have any aspirin?" After gulping the pills, assuming he had any, he followed Andre's directions to the bathroom. After relieving himself, he went right back after washing his hands, still limping. Ollie was surprised to see food in front of his face. "Thanks...Andres. I do still remember everything...thankfully I didn't go quite that hard. Sorry for all the trouble...I owe you big time. More so if you don't mention this to my superiors...being a ranger and breaking into someone's house, accidental or otherwise, will not look good on me. I'm Oliver Shrakes, by the way. Ollie for short." He shifted in his seat, clearly embarrassed about everything. "I clearly don't know Lilycove well enough to go that hard. If you have a phone, we can just call my place, and when it goes to voicemail or if Dragonite picks up with a bark, you can just give him directions. If you have someplace to be, I don't mind waiting outside."

He did notice that Andres was...pretty hot. Hormones notwithstanding, he was also a good guy. Anyone else likely would have called the police or something. Instead, Andres took care of him. It...certainly made Ollie hope they could be friends.

"Carefully laid plans? What carefully laid plans?! This was done by the seat of my pants. You did throw a wrench in the tentative plan, by actively sabotaging it as a teammate. You do know what a team is, and a teammate, right? Let me say it slowly. They. Don't. Purposely. Sabotage. Missions. Ever." Greyson had the sense to get another Pokemon out. A Cinderace that used Psychic to hold the Croconaw in place. With a sharp snap of his fingers and pointed finger at it, Weepinbell snapped out of whatever funk they were in, and put the gater Pokemon to sleep with another Sleep Powder. Even as the Feraligatr continued to dog and attack the Gyarados with deceptive speed and power worthy of a king of the swamps/wetlands. Meanwhile, his Dragonite had slipped into the water, and was trying to soothe the Magikarp.

What Greyson said didn't make any sense. Nor did it seem like he was to be reasoned with. "Sounds like someone with a complex just competent enough to do his job with just barely a hint of charisma, but actively hates and even sabotages rising stars so you don't get passed over. Spare you the "I know" bullshit...also sounds like you failed to do even third grade research on who was under you and unable to listen to reason, but I'll try anyways. This isn't my first rodeo. Even far from my hardest one. Little history lesson about me. I'm from Johto, Blackthorne City specifically. I've been doing this for a few years. Lots of unexpected shit has happened during my missions. From Rocket shenanigans to poachers to unexpected Pokemon to natural disasters that ruined any plan I or anyone else came up with, and I've overcame them. I just don't put up with stupid crap on live missions like this. You actively do this, that is grounds for immediate suspension at the least back in Johto. If Hoenn rangers have no problems with their members' toxicity and purposely making live missions harder for no reason, then no wonder the region is going to hell.

If you wanted a test, either bring me to a much tougher mission where we really do have to work together to complete it or give me an actual test. Not on a live mission where there is actual consequences to failure beyond a hit to your reputation or grade. Your turn to put up or shut up. Be an actual team member, or sink or swim on your own merits. I'm going to see if I can help Dragonite soothe the 'karp and maybe prevent total disaster while you make that decision."

Oliver stomped over to where he could get to Dragonite the closest and waded into the pool of water. Almost immediately the Magikarp came to him as he gave them pets and offered soothing words. The Pokemon was known to be volatile and seemingly evolve at random during crisis. Temper tantrum, yet his anger was justified? Clearly Greyson had a few screws loose if that was what he saw.

"You did...I picked the lock...thought my key didn't work or had the wrong key..." The ranger blubbered as the stranger left briefly. Next thing he knew, he was being heaved up and put into a chair. He looked almost dead as he kept a hand on the garbage can. He was almost out when his face was lightly hit. Just enough to make him whine pathetically. Arceus, he wanted to sleep. The red head felt better, but only slightly so. He was still in it enough to shake his head no. "And Dragonite is can sleep through anything, but he's also an early riser, and very smart...the bestest buddy ever...give him directions, and he'll find us, can take me home..." He slurred his words.

He definitely felt like he was missing something though. It took a hot minute when his eyes flashed open and he stood up suddenly. "Your coffee table! Ifellonitandmighthavecrackedit!" The ranger almost jerked forward. Only for his vision to swim again as he started to fall again. Whether he was allowed to fall or was caught, tears welled up in his eyes as he kept muttering "sorry" over and over again. Ollie was more of a wreck than even he thought.

With phase one complete, there was still four more obstacles. The second Croconaw, the Feraligatr, finding out where their habitat was, and actually getting them there. Just as Dragonite was about to go in for the second Croconaw, Greyson complimented him. And had a "but" in there. Oliver turned just in time for the man to release a Gyarados in the large pond. Ollie, while certainly ambitious, also had a bit of a rebellious streak. And didn't mind ripping superiors a new one for stupid decisions. This turn of events during a live mission from a teammate was unacceptable in his eyes. Greyson was supposed to be either supervising or helping...not make things more difficult.

Sending a glare that could kill to his "superior," Oliver let him have it. "Hey, moron, what the hell do you think you're doing?! This isn't a classroom or a controlled test, dipshit. This is a live mission with real consequences if things go sideways! We can discuss difficulties later, but this is completely uncalled for, unprofessional, and highly irresponsible! Either recall your Pokemon, or I'm going to bail, and let you handle this on your own. And you can bet this is going on my report."

Gifted as he was, this was absolutely outrageous that a superior would pull something like this in the field. Oliver took two threatening steps toward Greyson when movement caught his eye. The Feraligatr was going for the Gyarados's jugular, while the Croconaw was going after him. Ollie jumped over the diving bite Pokemon. Then side stepped to avoid a Water Gun. He ducked to avoid another bite, moved away from the Scratch, and generally just expertly avoided getting hit. Scaring the crap out of his Drizzile and Weepinbell, though Dragonite was unfazed and ready to do whatever Ollie decided.

Which currently was very close to just peacing out. If Greyson wanted to play games, then he can do this by himself, his file did say he was more than capable. Ollie wasn't going to have it. He didn't normally abandon missions, he'd done it maybe twice, but it was always because of stupid crap like this. If this was how Hoenn rangers ran things, then the entire place can burn to the ground, he'll go back to Johto, urging them never to help these morons.

"Yep, that was the plan!" Despite his cheery and enthusiastic response, he inwardly wondered if the guy paid any attention at all. Was that not implied? Ah whatever, no need getting bent out of shape for nothing. Greyson was content to stand back and assist if he needed it. Ollie doubted he'd need it. Dragonite was more than capable of holding his own, even against superior numbers. And he knew Thunder Punch. Luckily, he newly acquired Weepinbell just learned Sleep Powder. Finding the thinnest patch of Magikarp, he released the grass type Pokemona as well.

"Dragonite, you're going to dive in and find those Croconaw and Feraligatr. If you can drag the two Croconaw up first, that'll be great. Weepinbell, you'll put all three of the crocodile Pokemon to sleep with Sleep Powder. Don't hesitate to saturate the area, just don't get Dragonite in the process. You both good?" Dragonite saluted while Weepinbell waved its leaves and made a sound of confirmation. His Drizzile jumped off his shoulder and crossed its arms, glaring at him. "Hey, don't give me that. You'll have your chance to shine. Weepinbell already has a calm temperament, and I've had Dragonite since I nursed him back to health when he was a Dratini. You can't go around picking a fight with everything, alright. I want you to sit and watch, see how we work as a team. You just have to be patient, your time will come." Ollie had kneeled down closer to Drizzile's level. The emo gecko searched the red head's cyan eyes, and slowly nodded.

With that, he give the thumbs up to his two shining stars. With a burst of speed and power, his Dragonite took to the skies. The 'karp seemed to see it as it pointed to his diving spot. Understanding what he meant, the 'karp made a hole, and down he went. With a mighty splash that got at least Oliver, his Weepinbell, and his Drizzile wet, the dragon started his mission. As expected, the Magikarp seemed pretty chill with the dragon. It took a solid two minutes before the dragon came up with a Croconaw in his claws. The poor water type started to panic. Dragonite gently put the crocodile down before flying up again for another dive. Weepinbell satisfied his end by putting the Pokemon to sleep with Sleep Powder.

Once the Croconaw was sleeping like a baby, the ranger cadet walked up to it and did a preliminary check for injuries. Looked like it was perfectly healthy. Nodding in satisfaction, he gave the thumbs up sign to Dragonite, and another dive he went in for.

Greyson Connors

Oliver couldn't tell what Greyson was thinking. But the man asked a simple question. What did he suggest they do if they're simply resting at the bottom. Well...there was a solution. He took out his Dragonite again. "Dragonite doesn't stress out many Pokemon. Including 'karp. So he should be safe to dive in and drag them out, one at a time, preferably. Aromatherapy and a sleep inducing move will both calm them down and makes it easy to transport them to their natural habitat. Ideally at least. Still need to be prepared if they attack." Drizzile looked at him, fully ready to be prepared to be the one ready to fight. Ollie did look at his gecko Pokemon and shook his head. "Unless Dragonite can convince them to leave peacefully and help us find an ideal habitat for them that wouldn't cause problems. Experience tells me most are not in the mood to negotiate though."

More often than not, Pokemon in unusual habitats are usually pretty aggressive. Though he has encountered a few that were just scared and gotten lost.

Ollie had arrived to the fairly good sized pond on top of his Dragonite, which he recalled upon landing on his own two feet. This time, he wore the standard Ranger uniform, though he still had his ear piercings on. His newly acquired Drizzile was on his shoulder as well. He's heard that this Greyson Connors was normally pretty chill, despite being a higher ranked League officer. Still, a good chance to show off a bit. After some basic introductions, it seemed Mr. Connors wanted to sit back and see what he could do. Ollie was eager to do just that.

The pond was home to many Magikarp, and something or someone was feeding on them. Their job was simple. Find out what, and stop it. Preferably nicely, of course. He had already gone over a list of predators for the fairly weak Pokemon, along with other nearby species in the area. While there were a few natural predators around, this seemed pretty excessive and didn't match the MO of them. And so Ollie went around the pond, checking for anything that'll give some clue as the culprit. Whatever it was, it was at least smart enough to know a trap when it saw it.

Based on the remains, he had a hunch just based on the report. But it was just finding evidence of the predator. Having been from Johto, and seen similar instances, he thought it likely that the culprit was a Feraligatr. One part odd considering other bodies of water was either too small for it or too far away to be hunting here. Still, he found the tracks, and frowned. While there was a set that belonged to the crocodile, there was two other sets, smaller, and akin to its pre-evolutionary form, Croconaw. Far as he knew they didn't normally travelled in groups. He tried to search for other tracks. None to be found in the nearby sand or mud. Perhaps spending more time than he had to, he reported back to Mr. Connors with his report.

"The Pokemon responsible seem to be a Feraligatr and a pair of Croconaw, based on the tracks and my own personal experience in finding the remains of their meals. They stayed pretty well near the water's edge, so I think they're already in the pond, just hiding and resting. There's an awful lot of Magicarp at the surface and away from a certain edge. In addition, I didn't see any footprints or any signs that these Pokemon are owned by a trainer. So assuming that those are the culprits, who knows where they came from since this isn't their natural habitat. The Magikarp are very stressed, as are some of the other Pokemon in the area. Even the Pidgeotto don't like coming in to try to pick off a meal. Larger, unusual predators to the area tend to have that effect. However, Feraligatr and Croconaw, despite being on the same evolution tree, tend to not travel together far as I'm aware. That makes this an unusual situation.

I would like to see if my Sharpedo can find out more inside the pond, but I also don't want to overstress the MagiKarp..." Drizzile was barely trained, if that. That one was still battle hungry, and very restless and aggressive. He was hoping calm the little one down with this mission as well. So far, the little fella was doing ok.

Ollie nearly puked when the fluffball swan dived right into his gut. It also knocked the wind out of him as he sat up and scrambled back, still on the ground, on his butt, holding his gut and looking at the fluffball with fear. It was then someone shouted a name. Then came the guy with a phone light, blinding him. "Bright light!" Even from this distance, some booze probably could still be smelled. Hopefully the stranger would turn on the lights. After about thirty seconds of light, his eyes adjusted and he looked around. The red and black haired young man's eyes widened and he paled. This was not his place. "Wha-? This isn't my place...how the fuck did I end up here?!"

Confusion and fear was plastered all over his face. Normally, even his drunk self could get himself home without problems. But maybe he hadn't been in Lilycove long enough to actually be able to pull it off. Even in his drunken stupor, his first thought was about how his career was screwed. There wasn't any way to recover if this was discovered. It made him physically ill. Okay, maybe that was also the booze that he had drank all night. Quickly spotting a trash can, he dived to it, and puked in it. He felt only marginally better. He was still nauseous, and now the world was spinning. Minor injuries notwithstanding. He can take a beating. He was about to pass out...and did so, barely hearing, but not registering, the stranger's next words.

A Weepinbell appeared soon after. and he was going to go for it. "Brave, use Brave Bird." And a single hit was all it took for Ollie to throw the ball. As he waited for confirmation, Danny pulled out a couple of juice boxes, asking him which one he wanted, if he wanted one at all. "I'll take the apple. Though after we get back to town, want to join me for a drink?" Not that he was going to party all night or anything. Maybe make a new friend or potentially more. But first, Pokemon capture.

Ollie started to walk in, being drunk and tired made him not see the signs of an impending attack. The young man managed to kick off his shoes, and it was then that the Eevee struck. Normally, you wouldn't think that such a fluffball could be strong enough to put someone on the ground. But at least fifteen pounds of Tackle slamming into an unsuspecting target that was drunk off his ass sent said target moving backwards with a loud "OOF!" and a loud thud on the ground. Luckily, he managed to cushion his head a little with his left arm, but that left him with bruised fingers. Sitting up quickly, his vision swam, but it was now evident that the little fluffball before him was not some innocent little cutie just looking for a place to sleep. Of course he didn't bring any Pokemon. He didn't have to. This was his home! With a calm, almost terrifying voice, he boomed out a command. "Dragonite. Thunder Punch." After a few seconds...nothing. Now he was sweating. "Dragonite, where the hell are you..." Looking around, and not seeing his trusty sidekick at all...Ollie started to panic.

"Oh shit." Stumbling up he ran past the couch...and hit the coffee table full force in his left shin. This caused him to fall partially down on the table, thankfully not braking the glass though almost surely cracking it, and roll over on his back, clutching his shin in immense pain. Tears welled up at the corners of his eyes. And when he opened them and saw the face...fear sat in. What did this cute monster do to his bestest buddy in the whole wide world?! And when the hell did he have a coffee table?! With a flex of his body, he jumped up and jumped over the couch and headed for the Kitchen. And immediately stepped into the food bowl, making him stumble backwards and back onto his back. His eyesight blacked out for just a second as he stared at the ceiling.
