The guy took things in stride, and introduced himself as Danny. He was about to give the guy a return saying and shake the offered hand when some strange noise was going on. Brave screeched in warning, just as a Seed Bomb was thrown. The guy's Grimmsnarl took the hit, and attacked the Simisage. And a thrown Pokeball. His Bravairy screeched and nodded in a direction. Looking in the direction, a Roserade pranced by, took notice, and ran away. He let it go.

Laughing a little, Ollie offered his hand again for a shake. "Nice to meet you. Out for a walk or actively hunting? I'm on the lookout for something that can inflict status conditions. And a lot of various affects." It would make him better at handling some Poke problems. And potentially a lot more with other duties. Some flexibility was good, in more ways than one.

It wasn't often Oliver partied. It wasn't often he drank so heavily either. Though he was also given a few freebies by a few interested parties. Unfortunately for him...most of those were from women. And he had no interest on the opposite gender. None the less, they at least took the loss well, and he even danced with them to make up for it. He was at the club to let loose after all. And it was time to party! Kind of. He had gotten more than a little drunk. Wearing black skinny jeans, a pair of stylish red loafers, and a tight fitting shirt based off of Salamence that also showed off his lean physique, he stumbled his way through the city, trying to get home. He really should have brought someone with him. Or one of his Pokemon.

He managed to go into a building that looked like his home. And up some stairs. Did his place have stairs? Bah, who could remember, he wasn't home often due to his job. Half the time, it was a miracle he had kept it cleaned. Trying a random door, he found that it was was locked. He tried his key. Only...did the lock change? Or did he pick up the wrong key? Whelp, time for plan B! From one of his many ear piercings, he undid it so that he could use it. As a lock pick. Not really a skill a ranger would normally have, but it was a nice one to have on occasion. Just a little bit more...and click. Bingo! Opening the door, he wasn't greeted by his Dragonite on a large plushy beanbag for him. Nope, he found a couch and an Eevee staring eerily back at him. He blinked a couple times before walking on in, and closing the door behind him, locking it.

"Awe who knew Brave had a heart...glad he let you through though little guy. You can stay the night, but you gotta leave tomorrow morning, sweetie." His words slurred some, his face was flushed, and booze probably could be smelled from his breath. Brave referred to his Bravairy, who made a nest on top of his rental house. And he normally scarred off any wild Pokemon, and even other trainers' Pokemon. Though with the latter, he was a lot gentler with, particularly given certain Pokemon, and helped them get back to their trainers. The blazing red head with some black hair took out his piercings and moved towards the couch. Forget the bed, he was going to kick his shoes off then and there...

That timing didn't come fast enough. As soon as Oliver picked up the captured Drizzile, something fell and smacked his head, laying him out. And causing his Dragonite to laugh. A cute Shieldon got up and tried to run away. But it was also the kind of Pokemon that fit his criteria. And while Ollie was dizzy and recovering from a heavy Pokemon falling on him, he was able to get a command out. "Aqua Tail..." The Dragonite flew/jumped over the rock and steel type, water gathering around his large tail. And did a front flip, hitting the Pokemon and landing on his feet at the same time. The Shieldon flew and landed face first into the sand. Luckily, Ollie recovered just enough to throw another Pokeball at it. Feeling his head, he could already feel the large lump forming. And it was sensitive.

"Yeah...I think I'm going to call it quits after that..." Getting up, he wobbled towards the Pokeball. Hopefully catching himself a another new friend. Looking back at his partner, he simply waved, since it looked like she was trying to get going. "Lilycove isn't far. I'll be heading back myself soon. Good luck, and thanks for the company." Ever so polite and charming, you never know who you'll be answering to next. Best lay the groundwork of being friendly and reasonable.

Bravairy lucked out, and didn't get hit by the Grimmsnarl, and was able to use Slash on a Dedenne. Which scurried off. The birb perched back on a tree limb. The other man caught a Snivy. The guy turned back to him, and apologized. "Oh, you're good. This place is kinda thick, and I nearly ran over you first. I'm Ollie, you?" The red head was fairly friendly, if cautious. Hoenn was supposed to be pretty well infiltrated by Rocket. And who knows if this guy was one of them.

Still, he wasn't going to judge right off the bat. Oliver's Bravairy chirped a hello at the three below. Then the bird went back to keeping an open eye out for things. The bird might not be as powerful as his Dragonite, but he had better eyes and was, generally speaking, more thorough than his dragon. Still, the hunt was still on.

Ollie hunted from below, while Braviary hunted from above. The red haired ranger was after Pokemon that can do a lot of status effects. Sleep seems to be the most useful, so that was his main goal. Back home, he never used much if any status effects...his Dragonite was mostly for battling and taking down scum. The muscle. Braviary also had some muscle, and provided better eyes in the air. Amazing how changing locations can change your view, or point out areas that you were severely lacking. Ollie walked around, nearly running into another man, seemingly looking a little lost. "Ah, sorry." Ollie apologized for nearly running over the guy. Before he could really say anything more, Bravariy screeched and dived down...

After double checking a map...it seemed that she had mistakenly drove right past it to here. And was embarrassed. He just smiled politely. It was pretty funny. But soon the Tyrunt came up, probably curious. Then she decided to catch the two-foot tall dinosaur. Using a Glameow. Dragonite and Oliver just stood back and watched. Hypnosis...well, that was one way to do it. Sleep was a good status effect. That was something else he needed. But he just clapped when she captured it. "Congrats." It was at that point that his Dragonite got smacked in the head.

Looking around, he soon found a Drizzile. Who seemed awfully aggressive. The gecko looking Pokemon unleashed a Water Pulse at Dragonite. Who took the attacks, and didn't move back an inch. His Dragonite was quite strong. And one hit was all he needed. "Thunder Punch." Electricity arced around his dragon's right fist, and delivered a powerful right hook into the little Pokemon's body, sending it flying into the cliffside. Taking out a pokeball, the ambitious ranger threw it, hoping to catch it. "Hopefully that won't be my only catch of the day..."

Oliver waited for everyone to come back as he patted the Tyrunt on the head. Poor baby. Even Dragonite went down to his level and patted him on the head. Once everyone came back, he took the nets and told Parvati to wait there until he got things set up. It didn't take long. In the back of the place, his birb was ready to use whirlwind, and his Dragonite was ready to use the nets. All that was left was the window. And it looked like was cracked open just barely. Getting a flat bar from a shed that was on the property, he opened it up the rest of the way. And got a face full of webbing. As he went around back, he tried his best to get it off.

Then gave her a thumbs up sign. "Give me like, thirty seconds, then bust in there and have Gagan give a mighty roar. Things are ready in the back." Then the red head went back and got ready. Hopefully she would fill her end of the deal. Soon, Spinarak came pouring out, and Brave started up his Whirlwind attack. It soon became apparent that yeah, there was definitely more in there than he initially thought. Though, things did die down soon, and no more was coming out. He told his Dragonite to go and relocate what they had. As the dragon flew off, his birb stayed around, but didn't go with him inside, through the open window. Giving her thumbs up sign again, he spoke up. "Nice work. But let's do a check around the condo before we start moving in."

The first floor looked clear, until he saw a Spinarak glaring at them, and moving up the stairs. Then a garish screech was heard. That wasn't good. Looking at her, he asked a question. "Maybe you and your Tyrunt can take point..." Seeing as he didn't have any Pokemon with him.

"Omanyte are cool, but not something I can see that will help out with my job. Dragonite does okay in caves, but ideally something that lives in said caves would be better. At sea, again, Dragonite does well enough so long as things are at the surface, very different from their lower forms. And since Hoenn has a lot more water than Johto, especially the part that I'm from, I'll need something that can handle things in the water." He was a Ranger. More suited to conservation purposes, but they also were relied on to supplement any force that went against Team Rocket. And he was all too eager to get into that. The woman introduced herself as Tara. She also gave a reason for being there. Weird.

"That's wierd...to get here, you'd have to go through Lilycove City. Unless you went through Mossdeep." And the rest of the water routes. But considering that she had a motorcycle, that seemed unlikely. Either way, he noticed movement on the beach further up. Another fossil showed up, a Tirtouga. Again, not really what he was looking for. Same with the Tyrunt he could see in the shadows. The place certainly seemed to be teeming with Pokemon. Just not exactly what he was looking for. "Pokemon that will make jobs at sea and in caves much easier, while still being versatile and powerful enough for other jobs, even if mediocre at those jobs. A ranger has to eat, and I was definitely ill-equipped to handle a sea related job recently. If it weren't for a fellow ranger, I'd probably have done more long-term harm than good."

Parvati stayed pretty quiet, mentioning a Cramorant who would love to stuff himself with spiders. Ollie kind of stared blankly at her, not knowing if it was a joke or a serious suggestion. He doubted even that Pokemon could eat that many Spinarak, let alone what they might do inside of it. It was a bit of a ridiculous idea. Though she did offer a way to get them out. And a way that that wouldn't just get them out, but also destroy their home. That last one had the owner freaking out. "Yeah...let's not torch the place. I don't think that'll look good for us and may just cost us our jobs. If you have a Pokemon that knows Roar, that'll be great. They would come back though, hence why the total relocation would be best. Roar, then Whirlwind into nets, then have Dragonite take them elsewhere. Mind getting some nets while I try to find some ideal places to relocate them?" The owner would actually go help Pavarti get some, knowing a place that sells them. And would pay for it, seeing as it was his building.

And with Dragonite's speed, they didn't have to be the toughest of nets, just tough enough. He took out his phone started researching. Actually, Spinarak can be found not too far from Fortree Village. There was also a huge conservation area there. So he decided to do some phone calls as well. Spinarak were plenty common back in Johto, but he didn't know how Hoenn's breed would react. And as it turned out, several Spinarak did go missing from the area. And so he let them know that a Dragonite might bring some towards them, so have flares ready if they were cool with him depositing some with them. They were.

Before his partner came back, he did attempt to open the door and try to speak to them. And hopefully convince the bugs to leave. He waited outside, with his birb using his claws to get webs off of him.

She was excited for it and agreed to help him out. Once the last nets got carted off and his Dragonite returned, Ollie told both of his Pokemon to rest and relax for a job well done. He was offered a place to stay for the night, which was nice. And he heard the offer being extended to his partner/senpai. There was only one place in town to eat/drink at, so that's where he went. And found that his partner was already there in a booth. Slipping in opposite her, he didn't take any opportunity to change clothes or anything...no one really did from what he looked at. And he that his Dragonite was just lazing in the shallows, completely chill despite the children and Corsola around him and playing with his tail. Ollie had spotted his Braviary grooming himself and just staying perched up high.

Come to think of it, he didn't get a name from her. "So, what's your name? Or do you want me to make horrible guesses?" As soon as he started to relax a little, the exhaustion kicked in, and he slumped a little. And his body started to feel sore. Working in water was rough on the body. He also got a drink, too. "I guess...let's start with what's been going on? My superiors just told me about the Sootopolis takeover, and since Rocket has been laying off us in Johto for some reason, thought Hoenn could use some assistance." That...or they wanted him gone. He had stepped on a few toes in his tenure with them, but he also had some good accomplishments. And it was no secret that he aimed to go higher in the organization.

As Ollie started to get out of the water, a young lady with a Glameow yelled at them. Not angrily or anything, more just commenting that they were having fun. With water at his knees, he spoke. "Yeah...we're here on a hunt for Pokemon." And apparently decided to goof off a little. Oh well. She seemed nice and enjoying the day. As he waded a little bit more, he saw something that caught his interest. It was an Omanyte. A fossil Pokemon. Huh. As interesting as it is, it wasn't exactly what he needed/wanted. So he just side stepped around it and tried not to bother the little sea creature. Further on down, he could see another Pokemon, a Panpour. But it also wasn't what he was looking for. So he just smiled at the lady.

"I'm Oliver. How about you?" The red haired man joined his Dragonite and they waited there. If she wanted to join them, he'd let her. But otherwise didn't care what she wanted to do. Long as it wasn't anything illegal of course.
