As Ollie started to get out of the water, a young lady with a Glameow yelled at them. Not angrily or anything, more just commenting that they were having fun. With water at his knees, he spoke. "Yeah...we're here on a hunt for Pokemon." And apparently decided to goof off a little. Oh well. She seemed nice and enjoying the day. As he waded a little bit more, he saw something that caught his interest. It was an Omanyte. A fossil Pokemon. Huh. As interesting as it is, it wasn't exactly what he needed/wanted. So he just side stepped around it and tried not to bother the little sea creature. Further on down, he could see another Pokemon, a Panpour. But it also wasn't what he was looking for. So he just smiled at the lady.

"I'm Oliver. How about you?" The red haired man joined his Dragonite and they waited there. If she wanted to join them, he'd let her. But otherwise didn't care what she wanted to do. Long as it wasn't anything illegal of course.

Parvati was certainly an interesting name. But she was good to go. Just that one of her team had gotten loose and that she had found them. After they got there and their landlord explained things, she thought it would be a piece of cake. "Not always. It's not uncommon for bug pokemon to swarm, and they're not always in the negotiating mood. Beedrill and bee-like Pokemon are infamous for it. Looks like Spinarak, though. That presents its own set of problems, namely sticky webs. If they're aggressive, those threads are going to be a huge pain in the ass to counter. And we have to be mindful of collateral damage. Ideally, if you have a Pokemon with a sleep inducing move so we can relocate them, that'd be great. Do you?"

Another problem was numbers. He counted only a couple dozen in the room, but that was also just a glance. Up above, below, behind various furniture, etc., more could be hiding. A lot more. Swarms of Pokemon, particularly in fragile environments weren't easy to take care of. There was a window on the opposite side though. Another alternative came to him. "We could try to scare them out...that would be preferable to fighting them out, and have Braviary use Whirlwind to blow them into nets. Any other ideas?" He could come up with plans and all, but he also didn't want to hog the glory if his partner(s) had a better one involved. Sometimes implementing plans and implementing them well got you the promotions, not being the idea guy.

Ollie had his bags and luggage with him now. Thankfully, the ferry service, and whoever did business with the various leagues and Ranger groups, were very good. He still had most of his belongings, notably absent being any furniture. He figured he'd get some locally, though first thing was getting a futon. He already had a place set up, again, thanks to the Hoenn Rangers. The five foot seven young man walked past a woman who seemed a little lost. Despite his various ear piercings, red and black colored hair, he eyes were bright and friendly, as was his expression. "Hello, are you lost?" His phone was in a shirt pocket, directing him to where he needed to go. Which was to a condo, where he'll meet his landlord. Supposedly, someone was taking the other half of the small condo duplex apartment thing. Hopefully she'll say where she's going, and it'll just happenly be where he was going too.

"Oh, cool, I'm going there, too. I'm Oliver Shrakes, Ollie if you're feeling lazy. Just follow me." And he would lead the way to the place. Where the landlord was standing in front of a building, looking rather nervous. Like he didn't know what to say. Until he saw both of the people there. "Oh thank goodness! I'm terribly sorry about this, but evidently there is a small issue with your building...several bug Pokemon decided to use it too. Look, I'll cut you a deal. Two months free living, three months utilities paid for, and meal coupons to several of the trendiest, popular places in town. Just...try to keep damage to a minimal...but I need them gone...and obviously so do you, but...well...yeah...deal?" The man looked clearly distraught.

Went by the door and plopped down his stuff. Opening the door ever so slightly, he could already see several Spinarak inside. One was even wrapping up a Ladyba. Joy. Closing the door, he took out both his Dragonite and his Braviary. "Well, I don't see us having much of a choice. Can't guarantee no damage, but I'll see what I can do." Damn it, he wasn't a bug exterminator! He looked over at his neighbor, hoping she would also assist with the issue.

Confirming. And he will. He will be the best rescue shark!

Dragonite had nodded at her and went on his way. Shortly afterward, Ollie did kind of noticed that all the Corsola that was further away was rescued. And the lady piped up about his Braviary perhaps doing too good of a job corralling Pokemon. "Brave, ease up a little, if they run, let them. Grab nets and if need be pull some up and wait for Dragonite." And the birb did exactly that. Things were starting to die down a bit, thankfully. Moving in water was starting to get really hard, and he couldn't help be start to feel a little sluggish. But on he went.

"Johto. Blackthorn City born and raised. I mostly stayed around there and the routes between it and New Bark Town. I rarely got to go out to Olivine, the Whirl Islands, or Cainwood City. When I did, it was almost exclusively search and rescue." Since he had two good flying Pokemon helped make that type of work much easier. But there also another reason he stayed near there...it was an "easy" spot for Rocket to try to come over. Ollie started to wade out a little and just look around, now that the swarm was thinning pretty good. He gently picked up a few hurt Corsola to the nearby Pokemon Nurse. Sitting at the edge, it looked like they were nearly done...just a couple small nets that Dragonite was just returning to grab. "Name's Oliver Shrakes. Ollie if you're feeling lazy. Oceanic conservation is not something I'm used to or is familiar with. There's a lot more ocean and water here than it Johto. Thanks for both the assist and the tips. Mountains, caves, and forests ended up being more my thing...after this is over, care for a drink? I need to learn a lot more about the region..."

Ollie wore black skinny jeans, bright blue sneakers, dark blue button up shirt, and a black belt. The mostly red head also had some standard security guard equipment that he had kept, and had to go through a huge hassle to keep and get into Hoenn with, with him. This included a large flashlight, taser, extendable baton, and police style baton. He also had a dufflebag with some custom equipment for his Braviary and Dragonite, both of which was also on his belt in their pokeballs. The guy even had a hat that said security on it. His various ear piercings weren't looped or anything like that, but were still on. Half the time, he forgets they're even there. Nonetheless, as soon as he got there, there was a guy with a headset and looked like he was getting yelled at.

Well, no point in just standing around. Oliver also had a headset, though it was connected to the custom equipment for his Pokemon...but it could also be configured to link with others, so long as the frequency was the same. He approached the man. "Hello, is Mr. Hill available?" It was a two person job, but he also wanted to see the bank's owner. More to get some insight and maybe calm the guy down if he was the one yelling at this poor guy. The blue eyed man really hoped he wouldn't have to listen to Mr. Hill all night or anything. If that was a yes, and if the guy told him how to get to Mr. Hill's office, he would go.

At first, the short, fat, older man started to yell at Ollie, more due to his dual colored hair and ear piercings than anything. In the middle of the rant, Ollie released his Dragonite. Who promptly crossed his arms. That shut the guy up. Holding his ID out, Ollie made a few things clear. "Look, you have the right to request another ranger. But do know that it'll take at least another week before one becomes available. I also have a dragon-type Pokemon, which you specified that you wanted to see. Which could increase that time. I'm well experienced in a variety of cases and situations, including security detail. What I won't do is stand here, getting yelled at by someone who doesn't appreciate us Rangers, or anyone under their employ. Don't yell at me or my temporary partner downstairs during our shifts. Ever. And especially don't yell at our Pokemon. I won't tolerate it. You let me do my job, and Rocket, should they come, will think twice before attempting to rob both you and your customers blind. Now, you going to let me do the job you requested, or should I report back and say that I wasn't needed?" That definitely shut the man up, and they went through a general rundown of where the cameras were and the main security room. After getting that information, Oliver went back downstairs.

"My name is Oliver Shrakes, a ranger cadet. This is my Dragonite. I also have a Braviery, but if we're going to be working together for the foreseeable future, what do you have covered, and I'll try cover any gaps with my own Pokemon. But I do want Dragonite to be very visible." As per the client's request. He was, admittedly, much more professional with this guy than with Mr. Hill.

"Might let them know he's coming, then. Also, we've barely been in Hoenn for an hour, and haven't had much time to research the region. Point him in the direction of Slateport and tell them to use flares or a similar signal to let Dragonite know where to go." At most, he knew where Lilycove, Mossdeep, and Sootopolis was. But no where else. Trying to pack and make housing arrangements took time, and he just hadn't had the time to find out town locations let alone names. Once that was done, his Dragonite zoomed on in the direction she pointed him towards. Once his net was full, he tied it up good and tight to the shoreline. A couple of volunteers came by and took a hold of the net and nailed it down. It wasn't going anywhere.

Ollie got another one to fill with a volunteer, who almost let go when Braviary used Whirlwind to blow some of the escapees and a bunch of them right into it. Another small group of Corsola was rescued. Soon, Dragonite returned, and grabbed the nailed down net and flew off with it. Dragonite would continue with pattern, going for whichever net was full at the time between the two rangers. It was a slow process...and he just hoped that they could keep it up. Braviary was continuing rescue operations of the Corsola, while also helping catch as many as possible using whirlwind.

Okay then, this lady knew what she was doing in addition to having a little bit more time to plan ahead. Helped that she knew the area better, and likely had more experience with water based relocations. What he lacked in knowledge of the area, he made up for it with speed, quickly getting nets and organizing volunteers. "Got a fishing ship or something that can hold them? Don't think you want Drag to just toss them somewhere...and there is quite a few of them here..." Far more than what he's seen or expected. It almost seemed to him that something spooked them out of their normal hunting grounds. He's seen that before, but with land and air Pokemon, and this almost seemed to have fit the bill. He didn't have much experience with ocean Pokemon like this, so he didn't know for sure. Something to ask the lady when they were done.

Bravairy dropped off another six Corsola, giving them happy thank you noises. And off he went to grab more. Ollie's net was filling up, but it looked like her's was full. Volunteers got another net ready for her. "Drag, you heard her! Get that full net out of here!" And into a large fishing ship. The small ones he saw around here in his very short time didn't look anywhere large enough for the amount there. With a shockwave, Dragonite zoomed into the air, then eased himself down to pick up the net. Lifting it up, it was full to the brim. The Dragonite looked around for the ship or something to put the Mareanie in. Even as Braviary dropped off another seven Corsola.

The line of Mareanie got broken quickly. And Dragonite's thunder punch swiftly knocked out several of them. Braviary also rescued that particular group of Corsola with ease. But there was also a lot more Mareanie that he didn't see. Before he could order his Dragonite to come back, a new voice was heard. The way she spoke, she was clearly a ranger. He huffed a bit. "Bravairy, go to any other clusters of Corsola that are further out and pick them up. If you have to, try to use whirlwind and blow the Mareanie towards us. But focus on saving the Corsola." Another screech of confirmation and off he went. "I sure hope you were notified a lot earlier than I was so that you could prepare the right equipment for doing exactly that. Otherwise, they're a lot easier to capture when they're knocked out. I can have Braviary make sure that any attempted escapees get turned back towards us. Dragonite, came back to us."

The dragon flew up and eased himself down next to the Wobbeffet. The water/poison types hit and attacked the barriers, hurting themselves in the process. And there was a lot there. More than even he thought. Frowning, he spoke again to the lady. "Those counter attacks aren't going to last. If you want some breathing room, Dragonite can use Aqua Tail or Hurricane. I can try to have him keep them all grouped up this time for later pick-up this time. Though Hurricane is a bit harder to control." Playing defense can only last so long. Eventually, you have to go on the offense. Looking back at where the original line was, that Dragon Rush did a bit more damage than he wanted. Probably should focus more on the punching moves and Aqua Tail.

Ollie patrolled the cliffs and beach of Lilycove City in search of Pokemon. Sort of. He was just outside of Lilycove, on Route 124. A place known for rock and water types. And he was in the market for both. They'll be good to have to expand his horizons in helping rescue people or checking out other places. Or at the least, being more useful. His Dragonite was powerful, true, and his Braviary can spot things from the air easily, and can pick up people easily enough, but there was more that he can do. Oliver wore black shorts and and a purple shirt, as well as bright blue sneakers. He was also partially enjoying the view when he tripped over something, landing right on his face. His Dragonite that was out started to giggle at him, until the big guy got a face full of sand from Ollie. "Take that, you brat." The ranger cadet grinned at the Pokemon. Until said Pokemon picked him up and tossed him to the water. Not deep enough that he couldn't stand on his own, but would go up to his waist. "Okay! You win! Jeez..." Ollie laughed as did his Dragonite. They've been through a lot together....
