Oliver heard the cricisms leveled at the duo that caused the most damage, to friend and foe alike. He definitely had to agree with whoever (ryker hayes) said that there was a fine line between recklessness and stupidity. It was also confirmed as to who their enemies were. The Ultra Beast war...yeah, they'd definitely have more. Nevertheless, there were injuries. Returning his Breloom, he released Chansey.  "If anyone's Pokemon, or themselves need healing, come here for Chansey to do her thing." He wasn't the only one to be prepared for that. Someone else (Aurelie Lefevre) was likewise doing so. Oliver also shrugged at the same man that mentioned the two misfits. "Everyone knows who's responsible for their knee-jerk reactions. If you weren't one, then you're good." Plus, it was good to see someone taking it slow and not jumping right in. In cases like this...it was good to have at least one person like that.

He moved away to listen in. With many making good points. But no one with a mon that can freeze the water. Just a bunch that can burn the brush or hack it away. But someone (Thomas Benoit) suggested booby-trapping the entrance. Oh, he had an idea. "Give me vines, leaves, etc., and I can probably make a trap with Breloom's Leech Seed, Seed Bomb, and Spore attacks. I'll catch up to anyone going down the lit path." With that, he was ready to switch and get to making the trap...

She seemed nice enough. Hopefully they could get along. He knew some busy bodies may think it bad or something, but considering his preferances, they had no room to talk. He nodded and waved, going to check out the fridge. Empty...great. They'd have to do some shopping. Freezer was empty too. Mika had come down and joined him, asking if he had any idea of what the haunting could be. Even throwing a theory of a very classic case. "I'd agree. Could also be some punk kids, some adults that never matured past age twelve, or worst case, Rocket wanting an outpost not occupied at all. Ghosts seem the most likely right now. But we'll see..." Only time will tell along with their investigations tonight.

"Looks like we need to do some shopping. Take out doesn't deliver this far out, sadly...even if it's not that far from the city. An food preferances? Or allergies?" Food allergies was serious, and the last thing he'd wanted was to get something she can't have let alone accidentally ate. Taking out a couple of pokeballs, he released a Boltund and Day Form Lycanroc. "Hey, you two, can you guys sniff around outside while I'm gone to get us some food? If you find anything not right while I'm gone, let Mika over there know, okay?" He pointed her out to his dogs. Both of them barked in confirmation. "I shouldn't be long. If these guys find anything, they'll bark or Roar." Now, that grocery run...

Oliver Breloom absolutely destroyed the Nihelgo that was holding him. Everyone else managed to get free, along with help from the groups that came in after. Evidently having found their way here thanks to the wierd Ursaluna. There was evidently some tag-teaming judging from the chaos on the opposite side of the room, slaying many a megapolians or whatever. Well, that was one way to clear out a room. DEREK HOFFMAN made a comment about reinforcements. Yeah, that was definitely a huge concern. Even as their own reinforcements came in and joined the fun, they were surrounded by the onslaught of slain Nihelgo and Megapolotians. Taking a better look around, he saw the posters and other equipment.

As he walked up to the posters, just to see if he recognized any of the people on there, he heard Thomas Benoit say that the Ursaluna wasn't an enemy. "That doesn't surprise me. Funny how people assume the worst..." He wished he could have acted earlier to save it from others' previous attacks. There was talk that there were two paths forward, one with a lot of water, and the other appeared to not be as much. "I don't know about anyone else, I'd rather avoid another ambush. Does anyone have a Pokemon that knows Ice Beam?" Best freeze the water and any potential traps and/or ambushers.

Oliver arrived at the outpost no problem. Some strange happenings were happening at the outskirts of Fortree City. The punk red head was sent out to investigate, along with a local ranger. It wasn't just the strange happenings around the outskirts of the city, but also this specific outpost. Rumors say that it was haunted. Oliver did not believe that one bit. There was always an explanation. Some rowdy ghost-type pokemon, some punk children, some adults that never matured past twelve, whatever the case may be, he was on it. Knocking first, he didn't hear anything. Checking the door knob, it was locked. Unlocking it with the key that he was given, Ollie made sure the place was clear.

Thankfully, it was. He randomly picked an empty bedroom, plopped his overnight bag on the bed, then came back downstairs. Just in time to see the other ranger come in. "Oh, hi! I'm Oliver Shrakes, I guess your partner for this mission...I just picked a random room upstairs." He quickly introduced himself. This'll be just fine.

The guy was fast enough to avoid the strike nicely, even braced for a follow-up. Dragonite didn't, and after he took off, Ever checked to make sure he still had everything, then pursued. Oliver followed closely. The dragon was far away at this point. It took a bit finally find find him again. This time, Dragonite was facing them, ready to brawl. First, the dragon tried to sweep the legs with his tail. Then he just did palmed strike against the trainee. No point in using actual moves here, though the concept would be much the same. Oliver would just watch. Dragonite was testing Ever's combat ability now. If the man can balance between defense and calming the dragon down...maybe they could call it quits here. But only if the pink haired man can do it...

It angered Oliver about the attacks. The odd looking Ursaluna was no slouch, thankfully, dodging a Flash Cannon, weathering through the confusion via Confuse Ray and Dive. Even being shackled to its own shadow. Before he could leap into action to protect it, someone beat him to it with a Whirlpool, defecting several attacks from the north. And just more attacks that shook the poor thing from its confusion. It was at this point that he and his Dragonite dove down and stopped in a defensive position against those at the north. His buddy would intercept any more attacks...

Only to be dragged under the water by zombies. Even with the elbows, punches, and more, he was dragged under. Dragonite struggled, using his brute strength to try to pull them out, but they just kept going, biting and scratching, nothing stopping them and eventually tiring him out. Sinking into the sediment and mud, he saw the Tera Shards. Those things? Even as he felt like he was drowning, he wondered what were those used for. When they resurfaced, Oliver and the others found themselves in a cavern. Tera Crystals illuminated the area, even as Oliver coughed out water. He soon found himself captured again by Nihelgo. Even his dragon was bound, and was too tired to do anything. While he was looking around, he felt around to see if he could reach his pokeballs, eventually able to do so. 

Mudcaked as they were, he was able to return his tired buddy and bring out Breloom. The grass/fighting type quickly darted to the one binding Oliver to deliver a Sky Uppercut. It was then Oliver noticed that these weren't ordinary Nihelgo.

Oliver gave howard slayte a very unimpressed look. "It's not about strength or smarts, but maturity. There's a reason there's recommended ages for movies, video games, and even some music albums. Even some art galleries have age restrictions because of the content in that section of the gallery. This isn't a scene for a child. There's enough children with PTSD around, there's no need to create more..." With that, he'd leave the guy to his digging, getting something heavy. He'd leave him and the little one be. Everyone went to their investigations. More bones and stuff. Then they saw something.  Including two bodies that fit the descriptions of Junichi and Minako Sato.

Moving on, they soon found a creature. It looked like an Ursaluna. But not quite. It was digging something up. Before he could say something about everyone needing to wait, the creature noticed them, and started to run, going through a swampy water filled with bodies. Eris Halla used Grass Knot to try to stop it and contain it, someone else was using Confuse Ray, and someone from the other side looked like they were attacking it. Sighing heavily, he just yelled at everyon. "Everyone calm down! Stop attacking it! Just follow it for now!" Some weren't attacking it, thankfully, just following. Returning Breloom, he released Dragonite, hopped on, and pursued. Hopefully, people would listen to him, but he doubted it. However likely it was that this was the culprit, it wasn't a garuntee.

Oliver continued to observe. Ever even did something that he didn't think about nor ever seen/heard of someone doing, but it was a smart idea that had him thinking. So this trainee knew some things that even older or more experienced rangers didn't know about. Or didn't even think about when tracking a Pokemon. It certainly didn't take long for them to find his Dragonite. Points for efficiency, speed, and observation power on the fly. Then came the calming part. A nice, gentle voice and slow movements. Good. But Dragonite wasn't impressed. Glaring down, he started to descend with Fire Punch at the ready, aiming right at Ever!

If the guy wasn't fast enough in dodging, the dragon would abruptly change the fist's direction to hit the ground right in front of the trainee, then put a gentle boop on the nose as if to say fail one. Either way, the dragon would then burst forward and past the two rangers on powerful wings. Dragonite was gone again, clearly not ready to be caught just yet. Oliver was used to the bursts of speed and windgusts, so he didn't so much as flinch. Dragonite were fast Pokemon, and could cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time. Ever made it clear that he had no problem tracking a Pokemon, but what about calming one down?

While he did cringe, Oliver was able to still fling her overboard. Slumping down to a knee and cradling his bleeding side. The shockwave from the two powerful attacks didn't knock him over, but did get others. Inteleon was quick to start collecting, as did the recharging Dragonite. The red head also took out Sharpedo to collect those that the other two missed. Thankfully, this Sharpedo had Speed Boost instead of Rough Skin, so he was able to get everyone that the two more flighty Pokemon couldn't get to. Oliver's Chansey used Heal Pulse to heal his wound. His opponent retreated on her odd creature, cacling all the while. The ship was heavily damaged, but not so much that it couldn't make port and get repairs done.


Still, it was the follow-up that mattered. He had Chansey go treat anyone else first, even as the rest of the crew started to help out. He may have been still bleeding, but not so much that the ship's doctor couldn't finish up what his Chansey started. Clearly, they needed to step up security and have a better patrol system and more. He could maybe give some ideas...but the paperwork was going to be horrible!


Xenon Antheil

While he did get much closer to Eris Halla, he did stop when he saw her flinch. But a couple of others join them, making her jump right into a severed leg. Lovely. Before he could tell the little lady to not touch it, someone else got her attention (howard slayte). Giving the guy a small glare, Oliver turned to see the kid poke it with a stick, trying to turn it over. "Hey, don't do that. Why don't you go back to town. This really isn't a place for a kid...please leave?" He tried to give her a princely smile, hoping that she'll leave. With that, he released Breloom. The fighting type yawned and shook itself and took a look around. A gory sight.

"Breloom, try to stay close to that lad over there, but also keep a sharp eye out. If something happens, come to me or get my attention. I'll also try to stay reasonablely close." He whispered to the Pokemon. Nodding, the Breloom went over to Isaac Merlo and El Sunderland. Though it maintained being in the background, still keeping a close look to see any kind of traces. Oliver himself did much the same, but a little bit further ahead. Still, he heard one of the ones near the lad make an astute observation (Tempest Quinn).  He also heard a panicked Pokemon hit something and continue to fly away through the group. Oliver decided to move in that direction. Maybe they're closer than they thought...

He got her! But the brief victory was short lived. Before Oliver could follow it up, she spat blood in his eyes, making him step back and try to wipe it off. That allowed her to ram her shoulder right into his own gut. Oliver wasn't a particularly big man, being only five foot seven, and weighing in at 142 lbs. He was rammed right into the guard rail, but not over it. He attempted an elbow to her back, then try to flip her over him right into the sea via trying to grab her waist/stomach and lift/fling her. Even if it meant getting smacked hard in the back of his head. Either way, seeing what the robotic creature was going to do, he tossed a pokeball...

Dragonite's attacks and raw endurance seemed to catch the creature by surprise. In an act of desperation, it targeted the civilians. Chansey got in the way of one, using Light Screen to block the attack, even as the civilians were frozen in fear. The released Pokeball revealed Inteleon, who swiftly got in the way of the second attack, also using Light Screen. Dragonite dove down in front of the middle head, daring it to make a move. That stare down didn't last...Dragonite wanted to end this, more so before his allies' Light Screens failed against the flames. Opening his mouth, he charged up his most powerful attack. The metal beneath it crumpled away and shockwaves could be felt just from the charge up. Then the Hyper Beam blasted out. Thankfully, the ship proper nor any civilians were behind the beast.


Xenon Antheil

A bloodthirsty Pokemon hunting people...never a good thing. Something that Oliver really needed to do was get a Pokemon that knew Odor Sleuth. Well, he had the Pokemon, but they had other gifts. Oliver brought his Dragonite as his main brawler to fight this beast, Breloom to act as support, and Chansey for healing and triage. The red head wore his ranger uniform and sort of skirted around the crowds. One of them caught his attention, if only because of how one of them treated and spoke to one of them. With the fog, he sort of kept close to listen in and see if this Kouji guy is actually a threat. Maybe not to him, but to this Isaac guy. Even with others there, including another ranger beyond him, hopefully the guy would keep focused on the job at hand. They needed to work together on this.

Unless someone here was with Rocket. Then they can just get mauled into obl...wait...was that a child?! Through the fog, he noticed a small figure riding a Luxray. Handy as that is in this type of situation, a child has no place here! As concerned as he was for this situation with that Kouji character, he started to walk towards the child. In speaking distance, he waved at her. "Hello there. I'm Oliver, a ranger. There's a big scary Pokemon around here, a kid shouldn't be here. Why don't you head back to Fortree City." Oliver kept his tone gentle. He often had a way with kids, and tried to get her away from here. At least all the other volunteers were adults and knew what they were getting into.
