Claiming Golurk, Pelipper, Vulpix, and Whiscash

Ah, so he was waiting to see the situation before getting some on call. "You're lucky you can do that. I live a bit far to do the same. Still, might think about what Pokemon might be best for a situation before even getting there. Just in case you can't do that, or electrical interruptions happen." As what tends to happen during sandstorms. Josh mentioned bringing a few dragons, but got interrupted when the Type: Null cried and then bolted off. Problem children...he knew about those. "I take it a problem child? I'll try to cut him off and drag him back...just get your team hammered out fast." Releasing Dragonite, he hopped on and they zoomed off.

Thankfully, his dragon buddy was extremely fast. To the point that even Extreme Speed using Pokemon still had issues keeping up. And he was able to cut off the Pokemon. "Don't worry buddy, you'll get your fight soon enough. But you gotta wait till everyone is ready. Including your trainer. Come on pal, let's head on back before we get caught up in that mess..." He pointed at the swirling sandstorm. However, he could see a pair of eyes stairing them down. Uh-oh. Out from the near by storm came the four legged Gigalith. Slow and steady, it threw up floating stones everywhere, a Stealth Rock. Oliver jumped off, and Dragonite closed and smashed it with an Aqua Tail...


Josh Devlin

Well, this was a switch. He often didn't get to do these dangerous missions despite his qualifications. Considering the size of the desert, having a partner was nice. Especially one that can cover ground quickly. Still...Tyranitar and Gigalith. Tyranitar were bad enough, but Gigalith too was god awful. Breloom was a must here, but Oliver also brought his trusty Dragonite too. Vileplume, Lycanroc, Bastiodon, and Hydreigon rounded out his team. Fighting, Steel, Grass, and even water type attacks were all covered. Lycanroc was here to use her nose to try to locate the people. Oliver really should teach her Oder Sleuth. Sandstorm was going to be an issue though. Combat was definitely to be avoided.

Oliver himself was also prepared. Between his clothes to handle both the heat and the sandstorms, he also had goggles. Smoke bombs, flash bangs, flashlight, and a homemade stink bomb rounded out his gear. His baton would be useless against the rock types, and a taser wouldn't do much either. When he got there, Josh was on the phone. That's okay, guy was also a gym leader, he had a lot on his plate. The red head waited politely until Josh was done with his phone call. Once the man was done, Ollie spoke. "Yo. Long time no see, right? Do we have a search plan for the area?" Considering the danger of this mission, sticking together would probably be best. It may be slower going, but they don't need to be added to the list of victims themselves.

She admitted the sound points, even going so far as to say that she still had so much to learn. "My boss back in Johto said never stop learning. Whether it's to learn new ways of solving old problems, about new Pokemon, or what have you, never stop learning. I may have been here for two years already, but I still have a lot to learn about the region. Including why it's so prone to disasters." And that's not counting the cat-like psychic Pokemon that can absorb other Pokemon and copy their powers. The red head was still keeping an eye out for sightings of that creature. She did hypothesize about a territorial dispute. "Definitely possible. There also could be other factors. Food shortages, even more human interference...hard to say without investigation." It's always good to keep an open mind. Especially in a world with super powered animals that could destroy whole cities with just a few of them.

She liked the idea, and went to do just that, just making some last rounds. Ollie did smile and nod when she thanked him for the assist. He also followed suit...it was going to be a long day tomorrow.

Mika Nakayama

Mika had joined him to help figure out where to send them. She suggested Sky Piller. That would be great for the ghosts. But the Sneasal...they'd either become an invasive species, get axed pretty quickly, or there wouldn't be enough food at all. She also suggest Shoal Cave. "Sadly, not really. Some ghosts are better for some environments than others. Phantump and Trevenant like forests, Drifblim and Drifloon like the mountains and hilly areas along with Misdreivus and Mismagias. Ghastly and Haunter are much the same, though their preferances are even wider. Shuppet like more wastelands and ruins, even plateaus, abandoned areas or still semi-close to cities. The only ghost that likes the cold is Frosslass, far as I'm aware. It's...really quite fascinating that the three species became friends..."

He trailed off. Food for ghosts, but not too warm for Sneasal. Although...well...how healthy were these Sneasal? The routes around and north of Mt. Pyre were sources of ghosts and dark type pokemon...were the Sneasal adapted to the warmer temps or come up with ways to make their homes a bit on the cold side? "There has to be a reason why the Sneasal is here. Dark types can be seen within the routes close to Mt. Pyre as well. I wonder of they've adapted to the warmth or found ways to keep cool. Guess we can make the inquiry tomorrow and report that we've found the disturbance and explain the situation. Maybe we could ask them where their original homes were. Why don't we get some rest and continue on in the morning." It'll work out in the end he supposed...


Mika Nakayama

Oliver tries to strike at Genevieve Cromwell and El Sunderland with his spiked tendril, but was so lethargic from his own Pokemon's Spore attack that he missed. That said, El's Togekiss using Springtide Storm injured Oliver's mutated arm. Breloom tried to strike with with a fist, only to miss and get a kick to the face. Soon, Spencer started to usher them all to come aboard. Only for the alien to get snacked on and annhilated. Sweet! Except...for everything else. Their own reinforcements were starting to bleed through! Excellent!

Some tried to go past him, including one with an Empoleon. What little semblance of humanity Oliver had recognized him as Rowan Wrynn . The red haired possessed man squared up against the man and his Empoleon. Only to see his Breloom join them. And give the Megapoleons and any Toxic Chained trainers a healthy dose of Spores once more. Oliver was already sluggish from it, but now his spiked tendril going after Rowan was commically slow. He had to get on board! But the slow down was really affecting him, and didn't know how much longer he could operate like this in a war zone...


TLDR
Is hurt by Springtide Storm, but the mutated arm is only injured.

Oliver smiled and nodded at Miko. The other Pokemon were perplexed. Oliver got up and went downstairs, opening the door and invited the babies in, along with his two dogs. Thankfully, the pizza was ready as well, so Oliver got that while Miko dealt with the Pokemon. Dragonite started to calm down the baby Pokemon. Even playing with them a little bit like the good natured big boy that he was. The parents of were perplexed...and maybe a bit glad that they didn't continue at all if the duo was holding back two big, powerful Pokemon like a Dragonite and Hydreigon. It would be a while when all the kids were asleep that Oliver would be found looking at a map of the area, trying to figure out a good place for them. The Pokemon were clearly friends, so he didn't want to separate them so much. But at the same time...Sneasal usually liked cold places. Man, what a headache...the two ghosts were usually find around Mt. Pyre and the surrounding routes.

Catching Mika from the corner of his eye, he waved her over. "Any ideas? My initial idea was Mt. Pyre and the Shoal Cave, but it's also clear that the Pokemon are friends. I'd hate to separate them..." New environments were stressful as well for Pokemon. So many things to balance out for them...

The Sneasal grew eerily still as it saw its two comrades fall. How could a couple of humans be able to take them down?! Granted, one used the power of her slaves, but this guy...he was strong. Oliver stood up bringing the Sneasal with him and taking it to its buddies. Letting it go, the Sneasal turned in shock. Oliver looked outside to see a small herd of Gastly, Shuppet, and smaller Sneasals in a circle, trembling with his two doggos keeping them together. With a heavy sigh, he sat down with the other three Pokemon. "Are you guys raiding this place for supplies? Food?" Sneasal nodded, cautously. Well, they brought plenty of supplies.

Looking at Mika, the red head spoke. "Whatcha think? They have kids outside that's been rounded up by my Lycanroc and Boltund. I'm almost positive that we have more than enough food for everyone, but we probably should find a good place for these guys to live at. A good habitat with more than enough food for them..." And sustainable. The three Pokemon started to look between the two. The guy had his guard down...but he was also clearly comfortable in fighting himself. And...he was offering to help them, in more ways than one.

Tempest Quinn's Lucario and his Breloom succeeded in making a ramp. That allowed everyone to get down. There was a few that decided to teleport down. The second group and them reunite. Though the reunion is short lived, as Spencer proclaimed about returning home. The ship could be used to get out of here, true...but something about him was suspicious. Before he could voice his thoughts, the man and the other prisoners soon formed up. Then his real intentions and identity revealed. The poisoned arm soon started to give Oliver a huge pain as it morphed into a giant arm with a single tendtril with a spike on the end. He screamed out in pain as he tried to fight that lingering thoughts of seriously needing to go to sleep. From his neck came the Toxic Chain in a hood like pattern over his head.

And off he want to punch El Sunderland and stab at Isaac Merlo, joining Genevieve Cromwell in taking out the healer...the biggest problem that they could see at the moment. He was silent. Breloom zoomed forward and tried use Spore on both him and Genevieve to stop them. Breloom couldn't beat Oliver when he was normal, there wasn't a chance that he could handle the ranger now. Maybe trying to put them both to sleep will help...

Mika also kept her big hitter downstairs. Pseudo legendaries were powerful pokemon, but they were also typically on the large end. She did take the hint and brought both Vulpix and Musharna along with her. As they crept, they could hear his two canines going at it. Including a few intimidating Roars. Crowd control...that wasn't good. But that also could narrow down as to who the culprits could be. At the end of the hall was three shapes, soon recognizable as Pokemon. A Sneasel, Banette, and a Haunter. Before he could be ready to talk to them, the three combined their powers for a massive Shadow Ball. The red head swiftly turned, grabbing Mika and her two Pokemon and diving into one of the rooms to avoid it. After the explosion, Oliver got up and darted to the entrance.

It was clear that these little bastards weren't going to take them seriously. Perhaps a beatdown really was in order. When the red head got out into the hall, he saw the Pokemon snickering and giving each other a high five. "You pathetic weaklings, it'll take a lot more than that to drive us out." That attracted their attention. And they were mad at being called weak and pathetic. Thankfully, it was the Sneasal that came forward after a quick game of rock, paper, scissors. Quick as lightning, the ice and dark type zipped towards him. Only for his claws to meat metal. Though the surprise was momentary, they soon went into a battle. Oliver might have showed off a little bit as he actually smacked the Sneasel once, twice, three times. The Pokemon was getting frustated, starting to bounce around the hall. Then it tried to strike. Only for Oliver to duck, grab the Sneasal by the foot, and slam it down on the ground. Oliver quickly flipped it to its stomach and pinned it.

"Miko, your turn!" With both him and Sneasal on the ground, they were out of the way. Hopefully she could make this quick.

Mika was nice enough to help put things up. She also confirmed that there was nothing yet. His partner threw some pizzas in the oven while the duo fed their Pokemon. She focused more on his dogs and Vulpix, while Oliver focused more on the Dragons. It wasn't long before they heard a smash. Then a heavy thunk. "Could be. Lycanroc, Boltund, go outside. Look around and try to pin anything close down." The two dogs jumped out their own open window. Oliver took out his collapsable baton and extended it. He was no stranger to fisticuffs, both with actual people and Pokemon.

"Up to you if you want to join me. If you do, keep a little bit behind me." Her two smaller Pokemon would be perfect for this, was his thoughts as he whispered to her. While Dragonite could fit just fine here, it was more of a casual sense. In a fight, there wasn't enough room unless he had a clear shot. Oliver's orange beasty stayed down stairs, but was right there at the stairs. He also kept watch at their one open window. Just in case. The red head walked up the stairs as quietly as he could, baton in hand, ready to use it. He kept his ears open, but so far nothing...yet. No reason to lower his guard. They didn't get a good location for where the crash or thunk was...so Oliver just waited until they heard something...

Things didn't go smoothly. Dragonite was still too tired from struggling earlier, and couldn't escape on his own. Kazimir Wynter ended up helping both of them, and Dragonite was able to finish off the two Dhelmise. Once the danger was over, Oliver spoke to Kazimir. "I'll take it. That dragging us through the mud really didn't do Dragonite any favors. I owe you one." The red head returned his injured dragon, and released his Breloom. "I'll be relying on you for the rest of this as my main attacker, Breloom, so stay frosty." Breloom nodded cooly, but on the inside, he was excited! Until he noticed the purple ring around Oliver's neck and wrist. There were more rings on his body, but who knew how many.

As he walked over to one of the cages, he tried to find a lock that he could pick. Only for his mind to wonder. Shaking his head, he tried to find a lock. He really needed to relax and do more. He was too uptight. No...Oliver didn't know what to think. Instead of focusing on the lock, he'd just let the bear do its thing along with the others. Even though the question wasn't aimed at him, Oliver answered. "Remnents of the war? Depending on how far underground we are, they could easily avoid detection if they got stuck." Arceus, he just really wanted to sleep. He liked Tempest Quinn's idea. "Breloom, why don't you help with Dynamic Punch." He  likewise took a step back to let the Pokemon do their thing.

Ever handled himself well in the combat sense. Maybe a little on the slow side in handling the palm thrust, but otherwise was attentive and predicted the attacks well enough. All the while manuevering his bag to be more easily assessible. Taking something out, Ollie watched as the man tried to bribe his Dragonite with a peanut butter and banana sandwich to chill out. Oh no. Oh no no nononono. If his Dragon had one weakness (besides Ice-types), it was that! A pure coincidence of hilarous magnitude! Oliver had to stifle his laugh as his faithful buddy stopped, stared at the sandwich, looked helplessly at Oliver, then back at the sandwich. He debated with himself for so long...before his resolve crumbled along with his persona. Happily walking over and grabbing the sandwich, he sat his big booty down and started to taking small, but happy bites out of it. Just to try to make it last longer.

It was at this point that the red and black haired man couldn't take it anymore, and just started busting up laughing. When he finally recovered, he managed to croak something out. "That is a hilarious coincidence of conveniance! That's his favorite type of sandwich and food! As if you really need to be told, but yeah, you passed." He continued to chuckle at the dragon's happy noises as he savored the sandwich. Oliver...really didn't know what else to do besides laugh at his Dragonite's expense.
