Nibanme and Gobanme hop to a certain distance where they still could see them. Once in a while, they turn their body to see their trainer and Kano can only wave them to continue. "These sounds give me a headache" Kano comments about the echoing voice of the forest. Kano tries her best to cover her ears but it is no use as a hand is not the best for sound insulation. Suddenly, there is a rustling noise from the distance but Kano is unsure if it is the illusion of an actual movement. [break][break]

"Did you hear that?" Kano asks Ceri trying to confirm her uncertainty. She stops and looks around trying to check if there is anything amiss around her. Her ears can't discern what is real and what is not with the current situation but she still tries.

Dressed in a white lab coat covering a black shirt underneath that has stained with a coffee stain from this morning, walking at a hurried pace bringing along her baggage filled with the various necessary equipment that she is going to do with one of the head scientists, Lulu Flint. Opening the lab grandiosely yet a poker face can be seen on her face as the door opened. Miss Lulu was lounging leisurely with a cup of coffee in her hand waiting for her arrival and she can clearly see a Castform behaving similar to what a Tauros would do whenever they got butchered for their meat - Although, Kano presume that the intensity of the stress between the analogy and what the Castform might have been facing right now could be different. "Greetings, Miss Lulu. Thanks for the invitation" Kano exchanges short greetings and gratitude as her eyes quickly hover to the specimen. "So, you want me to find out the mystery behind the adaptability of the Castform, huh? Before I go forward with some tests - I want to ask you something. How attached are you to this Castform? Depending on the possible results, there is a higher chance for this particular pokemon to die but that risk will also raise the possibility of a breakthrough" Kano asks Lulu, putting all of her equipment to the nearest empty table. Waiting for the answer.

Kano was never been a good trainer, to begin with, her passion remains within the research of Pokemon. However, at this time with the ongoing EXODUS experiment, she needs numbers of steel-type pokemon to capture and sacrifice them for the glory of Rocket or however the boss declares it. Therefore, she ropes a random person that she meets within the headquarter - @kris - to accompany her in the case of she got overwhelmed with the wild pokemon. [break][break]

The grin rubs her off slightly in the wrong way as he steps on the paper that was scattered on the floor. She gets near to him carefully and pinch both of his cheeks and stretches them apart in silence. Less than a minute pass, she releases the pinch and hovers her finger toward the sofa that is filled with many mountains of books and only offers a small space for him to sit. "Take a seat" Kano orders as she bends down and takes the papers on the floor. It wasn't anything important but she still hate to see her work got trampled over. [break][break]

Kano tosses two packets of instant ramen into a rice cooker and lets it cook, an unorthodox way of cooking but she doesn't care. Eric can see what she was doing with her instant ramen and she doesn't care about his thought about that. Kano drags a wooden chair and sits right in front of him, "Now, I have heard about the situation but I want to hear it directly from you. Any discomfort that you are having right now?" Kano quickly goes directly to what matters.

Kano closes her eyes trying to think but the echoing sounds don't let her have a clear mind to think about what they should do next. Kano let out an annoyed sigh as she opens her eyes and looks around. "Our best bet is to follow the supposed path for the exits. Following the path out of all this madness would only lead us to another madness." Kano theorize after giving it a thought as best as she could. "For safety precautions, let your Crobat fly up and I will throw some of my Voltorbs ahead to scout." Kano throws out Nibanme and Gobanme, her two Voltorbs that won't get affected by these sound-based moves. If Hajime is still around, he would be among this crowd but alas, he dies too soon. The two Voltorbs rolls in different directions but not too far off where they can't see them together within their vision. "Okay, let's go. Don't let the scout escapes from our vision"

The loud and guttural scream that mixed with the roaring of the flame that is coming out from the furnace gradually distorted more and more to the point of... [break][break]

Silence. [break][break]

An utter silence leaving only the crackling sound of fire but sadly the Mawile that she burns doesn't bring any beneficial profit out of it. The drops are too few to make any assessment or create a hypothesis out of it. Might as well say that this attempt is a failure. However, Kano has been accustomed to failure which makes this minor setback doesn't bother her too much. Leaving Killian for now as her mind quick re-enters her own headspace trying to think what she would do next, Kano tries to visit another Rocket who she knows, and that is Cillian Quinn. From a short exchange between them, she receives his Lucario. At first, Lucario struggles from being led by Kano - A short battle between Kano and Lucario commences and she manages to silent the Pokemon and captures them once again. [break][break]

"With how much trouble you caused me, I hope you bring some results" Kano murmurs to the Pokeball to the furnace. Midair the Pokeball released Lucario directly to the furnace and the usual scream came out from the Furnace. [break][break]

The fall to what Kano can only describe as an abyss feels uneventful, yet despite not being a fortune teller Kano can easily feel the danger that awaits at the other side of the abyss. A loud splash can be heard all around her as she finds themselves landing upon a viscous liquid. That is where the enigma phenomenon is happening, no matter how she tries to swim - The liquid refuses to let her actually swim. She can feel her own body drowning gradually. Fear grasp within her mind, if she let this happen any further, she won't have any chance to get free, trapped under this vicious liquid. The fear makes her brain rush thousands of miles per minute, she flails her arm, making a splash of the liquid everywhere where some of the drops enter her mouth and reach to nearest person - Chu-e Choi - and attaches herself to them to make sure she stays afloat. [break][break]

The wound that pertains to her body feels getting worse as it has an open contact with a liquid, if she doesn't get out any time sooner - She would die from the blood loss. Her sole Voltorb is just floating around the body of water and trying to swim in FRUSTRATION. Suddenly, a stronger pull can be felt from deep within as if her losing the ability to swim is not enough. A Pokeball rolled out from her pocket and sinked right to the depth of the lake, Kano was surprised but when she realized it - It was the Pokeball where Hajime was residing before. She quickly safeguards all of her belongings - especially the Bill Figurine that she founds way earlier. "Sorry boy, but I need your assistance for the sake of my own life," Kano tells Chu-e Choi as she latches herself to him. [break][break]

Rumors float and for someone like Kano who has a sharp ear for them especially if it was something related to the science department - None of them will be able to escape her radar. Kano can be care less about power but if power means more authority - Kano will take it. With authority, she can run a well-funded experiment about creating a pseudo-avatarship through implanting the necessary organs of a pokemon's ability to human. Something that she tried to do something similar but not quite with @hades a while back before he died. [break][break]

Entering the venue right after agreeing to all of the terms and conditions that are provided, Kano notices a crowd shuffling to find a seat. She noticed Bill Anderson among the crowd but she decides to walk away and find herself a seat. Waiting for the presentation to come.

What was supposed to be a simple excursion with a colleague for the hunt of a sample for some researches becomes much more than "simple". Or at least that is what Kano's gut tells her as she notices the irregularities that are happening right now all around her. [break][break]

"It should be..." Kano looks around after Ceri asks for confirmation. Trying to determine her bearing with their current location but something blocks her to do so. The surrounding is in a constant shifting making it impossible for her to hold her bearing. "... But clearly there is something that thinks all of this is funny" [break][break]

As if the current condition is not bad, an incoherent distorted voice echoes all around them repeating itself in a monotone manner. Kano tries to cover her ears but it fails as she is still able to hear them. "Great. We need to move fast before this voice has any effect on our mind." Kano mentions.

A groaned coming out from a lone table in the middle of the living room, mountains of books and papers haphazardly scatters all around the room yet Kano shows no sign of being bothered by it in the slightest bit. What she is bothered by now is how her back is in pain since she slept on her table after an all-night reading some medical papers and doing some research for an assignment that has been given by the higher-ups. She would have slept more, knowing that she only manages to get a two-hour sleep based on the current time, but there are knocking sounds coming from the door. [break][break]

While dragging her feet sluggishly, holding back a yawn, she tries to reach the door. However, she didn't notice the cylindrical testing tube rolling down on the floor and making her step on it. With a great reflex minus athleticism, her attempt to not step it further where it can break the glass - She stumbles forward and knock numerous tower of books and papers creating a simulation of a wrecked ship and leading her to the wall right beside the door. Her face kissed to wall really hard making a loud bang that can be heard to the outside. [break][break]

"Ouch" Kano groans and opens the door. The blinding light of the sun almost blinds her as she quickly covers her eyes with her hands. "What do you want?" Kano asks grumpily then realized the identity of the man in front of her. "Ah, you are that Eric guy. Aren't you. The one who wants checkup whatnot. Come on in"

The scientist lost within her thought once she is faced with questions that are proposed by the big boss himself regarding a new compound by sacrificing a certain type of pokemon. "It is absurd that you are not part of that type of family, Gobanme..." Kano murmurs to herself, walking to a certain person that offers a hand for the sake of the research. Gobanme just let out a cry with a mysterious tone - It can be either a relief cry or a frustrated cry but Kano completely ignores it. With the help of Bill Anderson, a Mawille is within her hand right now. The database dictates that Mawile is a steel and Fairy-type pokemon while it doesn't have any resemblance to that typing externally unlike Voltorb. [break][break]

Arriving at the furnace, Kano notices a man watching a burning Pokemon without any sign of flinching. She waits for a moment for the furnace to completely process the Pokemon that he burns as she doesn't want to bring impurities to the result. At the very least, it is not the time yet, they need a control specimen for now. She doesn't know if others share the same sentiment as her or not but she will go with her own way as much as possible. After the burning Metagross is completely processed by the Furnace, it is time for Kano to toss Mawille into the furnace. The horrified looks and cries from the Pokemon can be seen while Kano is just standing there, "Any thought about all of this?" Kano asks Killian Decker trying to see others' opinions about this project.[break][break]

Kano's pokemon is down to one Voltorb - Gobanme. Does she is regretting her decision from the past? No. All she needs is to maximize the usefulness of Gobanme to the maximum and survive this horror with him. The explosion from Hajime manages to tear the creature in half and create a splatter all around the cliffs. The blotch that hits the ground now starts to move independently - A curious specimen for it to still be alive despite being blown apart like that. Her eyes follow the movement of the beast through the walls that have been created, not wanting to be noticed as she is lacking power right now - Her injuries don't help at all. Gobanme who has been patient since the beginning is starting to get FRUSTRATION, he starts to shake. [break][break]

Cillian Quinn calls out to move from the falling place due to the explosion that she made earlier. Kano decides to regroup with him alongside Chu-e Choi who got saved by Gavin. Along the way, her hand suddenly met with a mysterious bump - It is not an irregular bump as it is making a curious pattern - .... . -.-. .-. .. . ... --- ..-. -.. . .- - .... .-- .. .-.. .-.. .... .- ..- -. - -.-- --- ..- , she manages to make the meaning out of it and decides to ignore it. While Gavin is trying to tend Chu-e Choi's wound and the actual doctor just standing there - watching him as no one expects any help from her yet. She noticed the ink pattern moves to one spot on Gavin's body and fortunately he noticed it too and check out Bill's metal statue from his pocket. [break][break]

"While you are treating him, I will step out for a moment to do some experiment," Kano says to Gavin before walking out. Her priorities right now are not on the injured person but to find out the mystery behind all of this. While she doesn't find the ink pattern as Gavin has, she finds the monster's blood instead. The monster's blood scatters everywhere and Kano stands right in the middle of it. "Gobanme, do it. MAGNET RISE" [break][break]

Gobanme rises into the sky and his body is engulfed with electricity creating a magnetic field around him - The blood starts to dance and got attracted to the body of Gobanme. Before he is covered by the blood, Kano stops the experiment as she now knows for the fact that the blood shares some characteristics with liquid metal. Kano re-enters the cave and tells her finding to others, "The monster's blood share a characteristic with liquid metal which is magnetic. If anything we can now at least find a way to clean the blood away" Kano hums for a bit as she is still not entirely sure of the significance of her finding yet.[break][break]
