He nodded picking up where she trailed off. "I find an online calendar helps me best to keep track of appointments." he said, his eyes still looking over her books with vague interest, but not making a move just yet. He waited until Yuina went back inside, moving in carefully and closing the door behind him. Then, he set to the task of moving through the message of perfectly arranged books to keep from disturbing them.

He's quiets she spoke, eyes on the floor as he looked for the best way forward before expertly stepping through like a cat making it's way through rough ground. Finally, he sits in an unoccupied chair in front of her desk. He then moved his folder to his lap and pulled out a small packet of PROJECT SAPPHIRE's proposal. He carefully laid it over papers and books for her before closing the folder and letting her look it over a moment.

"PROJECT SAPPHIRE a research initiative in collaboration with the AQUA Initiative, intent on studying Avatars, favored, and shard holders. The aim is to observe the changes Legendary pokemon can have on humans, especially after the PRIMEVAL incident."

He lets that hang in the air before continuing. "Our organization mostly runs on volunteer efforts and offers small monetary compensation for their efforts as well as connections to many knowledgeable League personnel for mentoring, like our pokemon PROFESSORS. We also offer an array of mental wellness resources for volunteers."

Paxton frowned as Gunner gave a description of the man in question. Once more, he wished they had the light of Reshiram to help discern truths quickly. But that woudl be too easy. He shouldn't rely on a short cut like that. "A Zoroark then, impersonating Eduardo Hisakawa ." There's another pause. "It's plausible...but it's also a gamble. I'd never made CONTACT with him before, but I could've easily been interfacing with him for years." Then again, perhaps the chaos of the day was cover enough.

"It doesn't make any sense. Why would the bodies be miss-...who were the dead grunts?" he said. "Without a body, we can't ID them, but that's never been something Rocket does before right...?" Hell, half their strongest had wanted posters all over HBIC and HQ. Posters in pokemarts and running hourly on HNN and HBC.

"I trust your judgement on this Gunner. But can we trust him?" If he vouched for that man, Paxton would let it drop. "I just....somebody was doing body recovery in real time. There could've possible been...two groups. One for attack ,and one for recovery." More people than they had originally thought, just waiting but... why?

"You would be right." he replied, walking beside the Ranger Captain. He gives a small side eye to her Calyrex, the battle against Rocket's own still fresh in his memory. To suppress the memory of the other shade, he offered Charles a little poketreat before pushing ahead. His Mawile, Conniebear also stares at Charles much in the same way as her trainer. However, it's a different feeling. This one doesn't feel aggressive and so she stays her hand, happily jogging forward and keeping a look out on their target.

"A gold BRILLIANCE...a shiny perhaps?" he mused looking over to Elise as they approached. There's strange gouges in the trees and trampled flowers. "These look fresh. Look at the wood that's exposed." he said, lowering his voice as his attention pivoted to the nearest tree. Conniebear grins, her face serious but her second head snapping and nearly drooling at the chance for another fight. "Proceed with caution."

"Ms. Higashi, good morning." He said giving the museum employee a once over. There's not much registering at the moment. He says nothing letting her catch up from her SPACE out, and instead looking over at the office space behind her. It was cluttered, almost like an earthquake had shaken everything up. He waited another moment, finally speaking up when Yuina didn't.

"I'm here for our PROJECT SAPPHIRE meeting." he stated, placid smile spreading on his face. "I don't want to interrupt whatever research you're doing on the floor at this moment. Would you like to speak elsewhere in the building? Preferably somewhere we can speak in confidence."

It seemed like he had no intention of rescheduling the meeting, no matter the state Yuina was in. She was working, which meant she was in a perfectly acceptable state for the discussion. "Or if it is your office, I can help you move some textbooks." A generous offer, but he really needed to get through this meeting. It was long overdue.

"You got with MATIAS SILPH and illeana reyes right?" he asked before adding a little soon after. "Sorry I couldn't have been more help." But that's hadn't been the mission he needed to carry out. Much like the ship, his job had been to break Rocket from the inside out. And he'd managed. Somehow.

"Mmm, bruised bones, stiches. I avoided catching any infections in that dirty fuckin' ocean." Kyogre's septic tank, as he thought of it. "All things considered, I got pretty lucky. But, that's probably more because of the team I had with me." He'd been a little rusty, admittedly, running through the streets and fending off Rocket attacks and traps. But he'd made it. He'd stained his hands RUBY again and come out the other side with a few shallow stabs and a lot of bruises. "Thought I concussed for sure but I guess the helmet still worked." he added with a laugh as he took another sip of his drink.

"In any case, this is your...third?? raid right? How're you feeling?" Much like Genevieve Cromwell and Elise Calcifet , Anna was a ranger. They weren't exactly trained to focus on combat like that. But then again, anna had been prepping herself, ever since she came back form Rocket custody.

He gets the text from Annalise halfway through a meeting that'd run overtime. His department was scrambling, half looking for a way to smooth over the incident in Sootopolis and their losses, half trying to dig up the full effects of the battles on each city.

The council is still running at full steam, hands full with the vast array of new developments. His office has been busier than ever, and the appearance of many new avatars at Sootopolis had put SAPPHIRE into a frenzy. Its unprecedented. It's unwieldy. Everyone knows the extensive damage of war, but that's nothing compared to the weight and cost of the lives lost and the destruction that needed to get cleaned up.

He texts his agreement to Annalise, and calls the meeting to an end. Or at least, excuses himself and asks for the meeting notes for tomorrow. And then he moves to his desk, puts away his papers, pulls on his blazer, and heads out the door. Hopper TELEPORTs him closer to their meeting place. The shiny Porygon orbits around him, desiring a treat for its services. He hands it over without much fanfare before the normal type is put back in its ball.

By the time he sits Anna's already ordered them drinks. "Oh?" he said looking over the liquor poured over a large glass sphere. Smelled like whiskey. "Shouldn't I be treating you, Cap?" he teased lightly before teal eyes flickered over to the skin he could see. "Anything severe? I saw glimpses of what was happening to you." But he'd been occupied as well.

The last time they'd ventured out into the wilds had been almost disastrous. Or, mostly, disturbing. He hadn't expected the strange creatures to be resurrected. But it'd certainly been dead. right? Either way, they had gotten past that.

"Callie, how you holding up?" he asked as he looked up at the dark skies and the rolling thunder above. Nothing terrible had happened just yet, but it was a question out of habit. Their mission was simple: establish a little base or post for the rest of the League personnel that would be exploring the Ultra Plant.

It was hostile territory, but that's nothing they weren't used to right? He craned his head, glancing over at her briefly before searching out some sort of trench or dip to establish a base.

As Daphnmee worked to give one final check, he moves the ship farther away from the falling cruise ship. All the ships seem to regroup once the sea is clean of civilians trying to get out of the water. Streenstrup returns a bit before Daphnee and he returns her after a job well done. Ragon perched on top of the boat to keep a look out, but mostly sunning himself.

He looked to his colleague when she finally came back. "Yeah, I got tired just watching you." he said with a snort as he carefully turned his boat. The rest of the ships would meet back up At Slateport, where a shuttle would bring everyone into Mauville.

As he watched other groups of ranges fly past them on their way to gauge the environmental damage of the lost cruise ship he nodded. "I think there's a pretty good place near port in Slateport." he said as they sailed off for a well deserved break.

Its stunning to watch, as more and more people let out their pokemon to assist in their own rescue efforts. As the boats arrive, Paxton carefully moves his to allow the other responders to glide close to the people jumping off the cruise ship.

Streenstrup gets to work immediately, shooting over to a boat and beginning to carefully lift people out of the water with SHADOW HOLD. Ragon does much of the same, transporting people as fast as possible.

"Maybe sure you do a fly by in case anyone's drowning. Streenstrup, go under water and check for anyone that might've dropped under the surface." he ordered.
