`u... wee...?` Ann tries to pronounce what she just said on her mind slowly `What the hell is that supposed to mean?` Ann grumbles but decides to ignore it. If she found out that she was badmouthing her with a secret language that she doesn't know - She will explode in anger. [break][break]

They continue doing their business without sparing any words to each other - Or, at least Ann attempting so hard to ignore her but the concept of ignoring someone who keeps moving near her vicinity is close to impossible for her. At this point, Ann just hopes that the wolf comes much sooner. Zee already walks away looking around leaving her trainer with Gwen. Ann pulls her collar up to weep her sweats that rolled down from her forehead while looking at the sky for a short break. Ann tries to look around and then realized something, she forgot to bring some drinks for her own. "Umm... Gwen, do you have any drinks? I am thirsty" Ann asks nonchalantly to Gwen.

The sudden crash abruptly stops the music on her ears and makes her face kiss the ground, a pained cry comes out from her mouth and she quickly turns her body angrily to see who dares hit her. However, her anger quickly got subdued when she realized that the man experience the same thing as she was - Which means that everything is an honest mistake on her part, jumping everywhere without looking at her own surrounding. "Oh gosh, I am sorry. Are you okay?" Ann quickly tries to get up and offer a hand to the man. "It was just the music that I was listening to is an upbeat song so I just can't not dance around while swiping this place" Ann throws an excuse without knowing if it is needed.

The local governor calls for groups of volunteers to clean up the pile of dead leaves that have been piling up all around the parks lessening the beauties of the city. Due to the benefit that she can amass from the activities - Ann become part of the volunteer group and got pointed to one of the biggest parks within Verdanturf city. Ann borrows earphone from other homeless people that she met while she was living on the street and turn music as she holds the broom in her hand. Following the joyful beat, Ann moves haphazardly all across the place - Hopping up and down following the music. Without realizing that she is going to crash into someone...

The crackling sounds of the bonfire make her hum in a good mood, the heat that radiates through the night air makes her cheeks slightly flushed due to the warmth. She slides back a little to give more distance between her and the fire since the heat starts to get hotter to her liking but the sudden noise makes her jump and if it wasn't for Zee's quick thinking, by creating an illusion of herself to the biggest ground-type pokemon - Steelix - and stop her by using its body, Ann would've jumped straight to the bonfire. She has never been good with supernatural stuff, she tries to avoid ghost-type pokemon as much as possible. She can't stop wondering how people find Phantump adorable when it was supposed to be the soul of dead children. [break][break]

"Holy Arceus! That scares me, do you want to kill me, lady?" Ann groans after she realized that it was an old lady and not a ghost that calls her. She rubs her nose since she crash right to the body of a Steelix face first, Zee returns back and let out a soft cry. "What are you doing here at this kind of time?" Ann asks bluntly, ignoring the age difference where she was supposed to be polite to someone who is older than her.

The heat is unforgiving, producing sweats even from the place that she thought it was impossible for it to have sweat. Do you know what would grind a person who is working under the current heat like this the most? Funny enough, the answer is not a wolf but instead an unwanted lecture from a woman who comes a tad bit late from giving a hand for shearing the Wooloo's wool. If a glare can create a hole, her glare would have to make a hole right through the woman's eyes but she doesn't let her anger get the better of her - Getting angry at this kind of heat would only make her more tired. [break][break]

"Farmer's tan... Diver's tan... Something's tan... It is my body. We can go under the shade once we shear this section of Wooloo" Ann grumbles away as she starts to shear the wool away like how the pair of the farmer taught her earlier. "Hey, mister! All we need is to sheer all the sheep on this side right!?" Ann shouts trying to ask the man who is quite far away from them. Instead of answering her, he approaches her while riding a Mudsdale with superb horse-riding skills. "Whatcha' say lass? We will pay you for the assistance for this too on top of helping us folks with the wolf problems" The man answers completely fail to listen to what she asked earlier so she decides to repeat it. "Oh yah, yah... me and my wife is covering other areas. We just want your help to handle this area since our usual helper sick and can't come" [break][break]

Once the man gallops away, leaving her and Guinevere Auclair alone once again. Ann tosses the sheer equipment to the lady. "The name is Ann and I really need that money. If you don't want to help then go away." Ann introduces herself before going back to steering the wool.

Got no luck for getting a free food from any restaurant" Ann caress the fur of Zee carefully as she let out a soft cry, accepting the apologize from her trainer. "It would be great if we have a hot drink in this cold weather, eh. No, just any food would be better I think" Ann mumbles to herself, staring at the sky while accompany by the warmth of the fire.

"Proof?" Ann raised an eyebrow, looking to the ceiling trying to think of something. However, nothing pops out on her mind other than a realization. "It is not something that I should be trying to think about it right? Don't give me the burden of proof please." She answered and then her stomach starts to growl violently. "Okay, I will get the food, I am famished to the point I would turn to Lickitung and lick this table." Ann whine and stands up to take some food. [break][break]

Returning with various plates of food on hand, she returns to where she sat. She starts to wolves down all of the food without properly chewing it. Her cheek gradually bloated and become similar to a pouch, like how a squirrel would stuff their nuts on their cheeks. "Hyo whood wry zi" Ann attempts to talk with her mouth full then realized how incoherent her sentence was. She tries to swallow the food as quickly as possible and repeats her word - "You should try this" Ann innocently shoves the food that she was eating to Lars excitedly.

At this point, Ann made a prayer to anything that could hear her pray for a chance to get a cold soda within the vending machine right now. Surprisingly, her prayer comes real fast as a man come waving his arm and trying to be friendly while handing out a coin for her. Ann gnawed her teeth feeling unsure whether should she take the offer or not but the heat of the sun was enough to grab the coin as fast as she could before he changes his mind and gently push it to the machine. A loud thud can be heard and fizzling sounds from the soda can be heard as she open, her throat is parched with the drinks and now she is ready to face the man. Zee wanders around leaving Ann and the man alone. [break][break]

"So, who are you and why did you give me that money?" Ann asks defensively. While she appreciates the money, but she refuses to actually take that without doing anything for it. She tries to scope out what he wants and probably gives a hand to repay the favor. Debt is one thing she hates the most, especially a favor debt. Before she is able to hear his answer, Zee suddenly runs towards her and she wasn't alone - A wild Skorupi and Poochyena and chasing her. "Holy s@#t, Zee... What did you do!?" She screamed trying to hide behind the largest rocks near the machine, hoping for them to get away without noticing them. Ann is still a novice trainer who is not much of a fighter yet, encountering a wild pokemon like this is still a challenge for both Ann and Zee the Zorua.

Before Ann was able to answer the question, the waiter comes and bring their drinks. Giving a pause for a moment from the question, Ann decides to shift her focus to the drink in front of her. The drink in front of her is akin to uncharted territory for her, she never tasted it before which makes her anxiety rise up a little bit. However, living on the street has taught her to not be a picky eater hence she steeled her resolve and delve into the unknown. With a careful sip, the taste of sweet and fruity starts to embrace her mouth and slowly travels right down to her down, making a smile bloom from her face and lighten up her mood. She likes the drink better than she would have expected in the beginning and she let out a happy sigh. [break][break]

It is Lars's luck that the drink is to her liking, if not - Her mood will become fouler and might become uncooperative. "Have you ever heard the saying that said blood is thicker than water? I vaguely remember hearing that in my science class back then but really, I wasn't paying any attention to the class" Ann starts to talk while swirling her straw on the glasses, creating a mini-tornado within it. "Words can't be trusted, Lars. Not just from you but also from others" Ann said. For her age, she learns some wisdom on the street to the point that she can sound more mature than her age let be. Ann stares at Lars with a smile, an empty smile, since she doesn't want to let this free food become sour due to the atmosphere.

Waiting for the drink and food to come, Ann has nothing to do besides face Lars. Lars clearly tries to feel the silence between them with small talk but alas, the topic that he rises is regrettable. "No," Ann says bluntly, blunter than a baseball bat. "But, regardless that. I am still living." Ann put her elbow to the table and her chin on her hand while looking away. There is nothing specific that she wants to see but looking at someone who is not favorable to herself can be quite tiring. "Bet, you eating well with the money you get" Ann spat the word money with a weird connotation as if she is implying that there is something foul with that word.

"Keep saying that but I have no money to buy that" Ann dismisses his attempt to say that he is different than his father. She takes a seat and taps the menu in her hand trying to read the list of beverages that she can order. "Waiter!" Ann calls for the waiter and one of them starts to approach her "One pumpkin spice latte, please. As for this man... What do you want?" Ann asks him directly for his order. There are many food stalls spread out the room where they can go lineup and take the food there, this setup reminds her of the wedding buffet style where she can take as much as she wants. Although there is still some menu item that is not within the buffet set like some of the drinks - Including the pumpkin spice. Ann is waiting for her drink to come and decides to let Lars attempt to convince her that he is different than Bill.

The filthy attempt of Anderson's spawn, trying to gnaw their dirty claw upon her with a buffet as a lure disgust her so much. However, the growling stomach and the miserable state of her wallet make her accept the offer begrudgingly. Ann sniffs her clothes and it still smells acceptable, she can't remember the last time she washes this pair of clothes but fortunately, the smell is still passable and presentable. Arriving at the place, Ann looks over the seasonal menu that is advertised right on the front door and she notices a particular beverage that she likes to have. "Since this is on Lars. I will not be holding back" Ann murmur to herself and finds him. [break][break]
