"stop that."

then, a sharp screech from above. his eyes look up only to see a corviknight swooping towards them. not his own; it looks different. a shade or two darker, perhaps.

"get down!"

and keep her close he does. he reaches up, pulling her down and into a hug. no better time for cuddles than now, apparently.

he kisses her cheek, doting down to her neck.

his gaze falls back to the bartender, and after a quick gesture, another round of beers head their way. one for elliott, of course, for a job well done.

then, a thought.

where she vibes with practically no crowd, he has the ability to vibe with most if he tries. not that he does often, but when he does, he'd fit in quite well.

at the mention of their dad, he sneers.

"good. he can stay there and stay the fuck away from me."

[attr="class","niko i"]pinching his cigarette between his lips, he reaches over to help her light hers, lingering close even as the flame dies out. something about her demeanor tells him she's unfamiliar with smoking, but he doesn't comment on it.

he watches instead.

"how would you like to be sandwiched?"

when he tries to find the words to articulate the change in the surroundings, he comes up short, as though the words are blocked by an unseen force. the same force that leaves red marks across the back of her neck, perhaps.

he peers up, around, and finds that his pokemon are gone.

"the fuck?"

and so are the pokeballs on his belt.
