Wet and cold, shoal Cave wasn't exactly Finnley's favorite location. However, the calls of adventure rang in his heart, jolting his Body forward with each step through it's rocky terrian.

Oh, they were totally hiding from someone. The shit-eating grin only spread as Luck turned the questioning back towards him. "Me? Hiding from the cops? Never." He chuckled. It was partly true-- he wasn't hiding from the cops RIGHT NOW, but if, say, they were to arrive...yeah, then maybe he would be the one hiding.

As they spoke, a mareep had found himself wandering back from the entrance of the junkyard. It was cute, baaaing as it strolled towards them, and it reminded Finn of someone from back home. "I'm just hanging out." He eventually outted himself (but not completely) to the stranger. No need cornering them further, he had thought. "You got a name? Or should I call you Oscar the Grouch?"

With a few steps Finley had reached the mewling mareep. He patted at her fluff twice, nodded, then tapped a pokeball on her snout. Better with him than with whoever was sheered her this way. Welcome to the team, Wulfric.

Patience has never been a virtue Finn exhibited well. He was more of a 'in-the-moment' kind of guy, and it showed every time he'd try to prank someone. Fidgeting, he remained crouched behind the shrubbery, his willpower wavering more and more with each passing second. Sure, someone was bound to make contact with his baby, but would that be any time soon? What if happened six hours from now?

Just as the acceptance of failure was about to settle in, a small figure had appeared in sight. The small person-- a little girl with pigtails -- immediately made Finn sigh from cuteness alone. Then, it brought a rush of panic.

"Wait wait--" He jumped out from his place of hiding, rushing towards the small girl without much regard to himself. All that was set in his mind was to save that girl from stepping on his mine. But, just as he grew close, she had thrown a pebble at it, instantly triggering the device.

Boom!

An explosion of colors erupted and bathed Finley ( and everything around him) in a multitude of colors. From yellows to greens to oranges, the youth was thoroughly coated. "Dammit..!" He cursed, wiping off the layer of purple over his eyes, "...At least you're fine. Sorry about that."

A familiar voice appeared close beside him. It was soft, like a warm blanket on a winter's day. There was a hint of tenderness to it, too. "I wonder what'd happen if more wishiwashies joined in," He continued, blurting the words out without a second thought. For some reason, he'd felt the urge to continue the conversation, even if their minds were in completely different realities, lightyears apart from one another. "They kinda remind me of those pokemon from Finding Beemo. The Pipxar film."

A soft chuckled slipped from his lips. It's been a while since he's thought of that film. It used to be his favorite back when he was younger, too. Opehlia, him, gabrielle black would watch it all the time together years ago.

...It all felt like a distant memory now.

Nostalgia left a bitter taste on his tongue. It was better that he left those memories where they belonged -- back in the past and nowhere else. Finn went to turn towards the exit, ready to abandon these melancholic thoughts and dim feelings behind, but just as he did he noticed...

The tips of his lips drooped down into a frown. Finn had expected AT LEAST some pity laughter, maybe even a hearty chuckle. Anything but pure, unfiltered silence. There was no helping the humorless. Nodding, the teen took in the information without any comments: it seemed simple enough for the two of them. "You can call me Finn." He gave his name away with a half-smile.

Following close behind, Finley climbed up the ladder of the loft, a look of disgust smeared across his face. The barn was absolutely shit scented from the inside out and his nostrils were on the verge of tears. "So gross, dude..." He grumbled. No wonder this guy hired them to do his job for him-- he probably had enough of this shit-smelling place.

He finished climbing the ladder and got to the top of the loft. With a little more ease than Kee, he lifted another one of the haystacks and tossed it over. The thud that followed brought an amusing smile to his face. "So, why did you take thi-" The sharp squeaking of a gang of Ratattatas sliced through his sentence like a dagger. "Huh?" He twisted his neck towards the sound and saw the trio squeaking away. Not good. Especially since he left Zap back at the farm house. Eyes flipping from left to right, he searched for an immediate answer to this dilemma and found it in a long stick laying near the edge of the loft. He grabbed it without a second thought. "Don't worry, I'll back you up." Those strong words acted as his shield and the stick as his blade.

Wide eyes lit his face as an unexpected duo entered the scene. Loud and boisterous, the two were quick to come to Finley's aid, recognizing his dire situation without even a word of an explanation. "Yeah, I'm okay," He hollered down below, "I'm just, y'know, hanging out."  A crooked smile accompanied his joke. Even in the thick of things, Finley never missed an opportunity to make a remark. It was a pretty bad habit of his.


"Coming!" The teen slid down the tree trunk with ease, coming to the blonde's side within seconds. Once his feet hit the ground, he casted a glance back over at his real savior: a fearless little Eevee. A soon-to-be destroyed fearless little Eevee. "Thanks for the help, but, uh, will she be okay?"

Biology was Finley's least favorite subject in school. Every assignment always ended becoming a snoozefest in one way or another, lulling him to sleep with boring requirements that stretched across the page. It was nothing like Physics - if it were, he'd actually listen to his teacher for once.

Still, the teen relented and paid for one entry ticket into the local museum, knowing rebelling would only sink his grade further down. Not really an option for someone trying to graduate early. It was actually nicer than he had expected, with its blue-tinted displays and luminous tanks lighting up each pathway. The Lapras encounter, on the other hand, was just as boring as he had anticipated.

So he skipped it. There was always the Mr. internet, anyways.

A light hum vibrated off his lips and his eyes kept fixated up at one of the larger exhibits in the building: the Wishiwashi exhibit. "Wow," Finn's jaw hung open, amazement twinkling in his eyes, "It's so big..."

Brows furrowed, the teen scrunched his nose in response to the compliment. Who the hell was this guy? "Yeah, no thanks." Finn scoffed, averting his gaze back towards the farm house in the distance. If this guy ended up being some weirdo, he expected at least a little bit of compensation from the rancher. Maybe a spare tractor to fiddle with or take apart? That wouldn't be too bad, he thought, a smile nearly curling in-between his cheeks.

"So..." His eyes returned to Kee, "What's the plan? I'm not really much of a farmer, but I have played Farmville before, so I'm not a COMPLETE dumbass." A soft chuckle followed his joke. As if he's even lame enough to still be on FaceBall.

Was a sixteen year old kid qualified to run a ranch for more than 5 minutes? No. Was an eighteen-year-old qualified enough? Kinda? Sorta? Either way, the owners seemed to think this duo was equipped enough by their standards. And so, with a pair of wrinkled blue jeans and a striped shirt, Finley stood by the front doors of the Barn, waiting for the other's arrival.

Their response earned a childishly sly grin from the teen. There was no way in a billion-plus years that this person was any threat to their lucrative operations, and so, there was little to no reason to fear them or their pointed questions. Even if they did ask first. "You hiding? From who? The cops?" As Finnley spoke, he lifted his bug-eyed goggles from his eyes, allowing them to rest heavily on his head. Without them
