Or…not thunder, actually. Really just the sheer force of a certain, incoming dual type’s massive, hulking footsteps. Honestly speaking, he’d heard the steps from some ways away and had been keeping an eye out as it only grew louder, but even then (and even while taking care to stay a bit closer to the little one near him), he’d been caught amiss by the brief silence that had only been followed by a sudden, pounding crash that seemed to clear through a boulder in the form of a Lairon rushing through with the force of a Double Edge.[break][break]

While he was able to clear the way, the same couldn’t be said for the Shieldon and her stubby little legs, so—with some minor horror and concern from her trainer, himself—she took the tail end of the hit, skidding back a small ways away before grounding herself again. Before he could give a proper command out, though, she seemed to shake herself out before focusing her attention on the beast before her, giving a resounding cry before launching a Metal Burst right back at it.[break][break]

With a quick debate in his head, Inigo narrowed his eyes before giving a hissing sigh, pulling a free Pokeball out and tossing it once the hit connected.[break][break]

Inhaling deeply, he took a final moment to adjust his equipment before glancing over his shoulder and ensuring the tether bound to the two of them (for safety’s sake, given the obvious lack of sight a certain someone had) before diving right in.[break][break]

He took a moment to get used to his surroundings, peering through and hooking his hand around to unclip and situate himself with an underwater flashlight he’d been given. After he took a few breaths to gauge the quality and functionality of his mask and the tank it was hooked to, he looked around before eying the Sobble, grinning beneath his mask.[break][break]

”Alright, then, buddy. Guide us~,” he mused, all before glancing over his shoulder towards his companion. ”And you— remember to just follow along with the tether, yeah? Pabu guides me, I guide you.”

He glanced towards the Salazzle accompanying them, leaning further back against his seat within a lounge while outstretching an arm across the rest behind him. A soft hum escaped his lips as he lifted his legs up and crossed his feet atop the table before them, eying the screen before perking up slightly at the song choice she’d taken with help of her Pokemon.[break][break]

Mulling it over for a moment, he sighed with a smile of faux exasperation before reaching over for another microphone.[break][break]

”...If you give me an opportunity to outshine ya, I guess I’m obligated to take it~,” he mused whimsically, grinning a bit wider.

He pressed his lips flatly with a low, quiet wheeze as he took her arm and gently yanked her a pace or two to the side.[break][break]

”Fuckin’—... I guess…?” he responded, his brows immediately furrowing with no shortage of confusion, concern, and disdain all at once as a faint rise within his tone carried his words through. He glanced over his shoulder towards the employees that guided them in, silently mouthing a quick, ’She’ll be fiiiiine,’ as he traded equally skeptical gazes with them.[break][break]

For real?” He took a few more steps before pausing again, eying her for a longer while before eventually grinning and pulling her further along and towards him, letting go of her wrist and hooking his arm over her shoulders, instead, and guiding her along that way. ”Kinda weird, but kinda makes sense, I guess… Not bein’ able to tell how far up you are is both a savin’ grace and—... Well, not a saving grace…”[break][break]

He hummed, looking further along the path while walking along.[break][break]

”Lucky for you, though, we’re almost at the top~. Just stick close.”

He hummed after getting situated to some, minor extent, pulling his phone out and scrolling through before beginning to play songs from one of a few playlists he'd set up some time before. After setting his phone aside, he brought his attention back to the ingredients and the like at hand, briefly glancing towards the woman he'd so rudely intruded on as she began working.

Looks like she'd be able to do perfectly fine, especially since her little lizard seemed to be doing a good job with helping her.

So, he opened whichever drawer held the knives before picking one out and pulling the greens over. After a quick moment to ensure the blade was sharpened, he drew steel through them in order to slice them accordingly, but paused and glanced over once more at the note of her voice.[break][break]

”Yeah. Feels kinda like stickier putty, right?” he snickered, pressing his lips flat and pursing them while turning his attention back towards the vegetables. ”Except they’re…edible. Kinda, at least, with the way they are now.”

And with none other than his newest little companion, too. Honestly speaking, there was some time he had to spend that was dedicated to accustoming the poor little thing to him and his own Pokemon— what with how one of those Pokemon literally harassed her like she owed him money when they first met. Even now, that bitchass still had a tendency to bully the other, smaller dual type.[break][break]

And that was why he just left him at home with his other Pokemon, for once.[break][break]

He seemed a bit more stubborn than usual to go out, anyways— and Inigo, himself, noticed that the Shieldon seemed to be much more lenient and less stressed as she frolicked about. It brought a smile to his face as they walked along.[break][break]

”Aw… All ya needed was a little breathing room, huh, Mure?” he cooed, grinning a bit more as the creature he spoke to seemed to immediately turn towards him with a hop and a gentle yip in affirmation and recognition. ”Yeah, I agree~... He really can be a bitchass, sometimes…”

Thankfully for him, (but unfortunately to the Pokemon he seemed to be harassing in the distance), the bone keeper seemed to be more than occupied with other things, thus leaving him enough time to glance back and forth between him and the newcomer of a creature. Instinctively, he crouched down a little bit while reading another Safari Ball.[break][break]

Needless to say, he absolutely chucked it at the brown pelted creature when he’d snuck up from behind enough.[break]

He preferred not to give in. He preferred not to enable him. After a slightly longer, silent exchange, though, the man slowly shut his eyes and rolled them towards the back of his head in exasperation, all while he pressed his finger against the bridge of his nose and rubbed it.[break][break]

And that was all he apparently needed to say as he heard an immediate rush of fire, followed by the undoubtedly startled and pained squeak of the next, poor soul on the warpath. As the sound of footsteps rushed off after the fact, Inigo furrowed his brows a tad more and opened his eyes to squint towards the (still breathing) egg-wielding creature as his own Pokemon rushed off to God knew where.[break][break]

Pressing his lips together, he slowly turned around and caught eyes with the nearest ranger overlooking the area before silently mouthing the words, ”I’m so sorry,” to them, pairing it with an unconfident and concerned shrug upon noting the look of what almost seemed to be fear that he was given in response.[break][break]

A menace. An absolute menace to society and life as he knew it. Far be it for him to want to let his beloved barbarian of a son stretch his legs every once in a while, because apparently every time he gave him the benefit of the doubt, some poor creature ended up getting knocked straight into next week. Not even moments after the damn Hitmontop hit the ground did another contender seem to enter the ring without even knowing it.[break][break]

He saw the flame wielder already begin to wind up, scrambling for another Pokeball (and making damn sure that it was an empty one, that time) and throwing it— albeit just after it seemed to soak a hasty Bonemerang before the capsule properly made contact with its quarry.[break][break]

It apparently hadn’t taken too long into his walk around for him to find the first little bastard in closer proximity, so after some shortened and idle thought, he reached for the number of Pokeballs he’d brought with him. With swift yet careful aim, he tossed it out with the intention to hit— with he did.[break][break]

…He just realized that the Pokeball he’d thrown wasn’t vacant.[break][break]

By the time he’d realized the familiar, blazing green flames that both escaped the capsule and completely alerted the poor fighting type (go figure, getting hit by a sudden projectile would make you pissed), it was already too late for him to recall the creature he’d accidentally sent out. With a quickened, oddly frightening display of strength (more so than usual, by the look of it) in the form of a hard hitting Bone Rush, the wild Pokemon fell long before anything could be done.[break][break]
