Him being him, he had connections in and out the casino; some parts because he was a worker, and other parts because he was a worker. These tables quickly became his life and blood ever since moving to Hoenn, and as he eyed a familiar table (his table) as he strode through the rows of game tables and slot machines, a small, vaguely coy smirk tugged upon his lips before he turned his attention forward again.[break][break]

”Ya sure you don’t wanna take a shot with the games, too?” he mused, only eying a passing waitress long enough to snag a drink from her tray before shifting his attention towards the silver haired individual with him. He took a sip of the beverage he’d just taken, adding, ”Even if you’re not doin’ it for the swindle, a fair game or two could still be fun~.”

Like…damn. On one hand, he knew that he was wearing a wetsuit, but as he gathered the rest of his equipment for the upcoming venture, he couldn’t help but sit upon one of the seats and gently tug at the material. His lips pursed and quirked lightly in a faint sense of bewilderment as he gazed upon the suit he donned, but before long, he merely inhaled deeply and exhaled into a sigh, dropping his hands into his lap and leaning back against the inner wall of the boat as he waited.[break][break]

...At least it’s kinda comfortable, I guess.

Outings in themselves were familiar territory. Between having been raised within a close knit group of family and friends, as well as being an extrovert to end all extroverts (a self deemed title, by the way), saying that he knew the ins and outs about being dragged out and around would’ve been a pretty safe assumption.[break][break]

So, there he was, grinning and nodding along with a drink in hand as some other friends and other acquaintances he’d made during his time with Rocket had their own turns at the microphone. Every so often, he rose his voice and hollered from behind them as a means to hype them up, but as the singers began to cycle out again, he glanced towards his side, nudging a particular, silver haired woman by him.[break][break]

”When do you think you’re gonna take your turn, eh~?” he pried with a grin, raising his brows and nodding her way. ”You look like you’d have a good singing voice, not gonna lie~.”

An unceremonious thought, yes, but damn him if the food at events like this wasn’t top tier quality. As they walked through the numerous rows of stalls and other, varied attractions, he held a small tray of the aforementioned creature’s legs (coated with a breading that was crisped to perfection), occasionally snacking on them as he peered around. His gaze drifted towards his companion as she walked alongside him.[break][break]

”Ayo, have you even tried any of the food here, yet?” he asked, muffled slightly from the latest bite he’d taken. ”Shit’s overpriced, but it’s bomb as Hell. You want some?”

It was a first that he definitely hoped would be a last; not because he wasn’t interested into what the task could possibly entail, but more so because he was somewhat scared about what would have to be repeated if this somehow came around a second time. By no means was he licensed in anything that could consider him a good caretaker (aside from his trainer ID, of course, but he considered that different), but the clients were paying, so that meant he had incentive.[break][break]

Now, that only left the question of how, and what, would they have to do.[break][break]

Current problems for future selves, honestly. He’d get to it when they properly arrived, so in the meantime, he glanced towards his side and at the person walking alongside him. ”So, uh…” he started off, pursing his lips, ”...how…exactly do you think we’re gonna be solving their problem?”

On a normal occasion, he’d be scaling the cliff sides and climbing the trees with his raw strength, honestly. No tethers. No safety nets. Nothing. It was just his style whenever he had the time to take hikes and stuff, but the script obviously changed whenever he had someone else with him.[break][break]

Not that he minded, though.[break][break]

Company was company, and even if it meant slowing down, shit was still fun when another person tagged along. It also provided a better chance to take in the sights when he wasn’t busy speedrunning everything, so he found himself with a newfound sense of awe as he glanced around the city he’d undoubtedly scaled numerous times before.[break][break]

He looked over his shoulder before long, though. ”Yo, you good? Need any help or anything?”

Not really good, and not really bad? But whatever the case, it didn’t really stop him from making his way (insert piano playing here) into the city for no other reason than sheer, absolute boredom. No calls. No heads up. No nothing.[break][break]

Literally just…turned up at a certain friend’s door with a number of bags in hand.[break][break]

So, there he was: shifting and searching through shelves and cupboards in an unceremonious manner as the bags he’d brought slouched across the counters behind him. He narrowed his eyes into a squint and gave an ongoing, pensive grumble of a hum as he looked around and through the cabinets. ”Yo, Aria!” he called over his shoulder. ”I found the bowls and shit, but where’s your sieve at?”

  • From Veilstone City, Sinnoh. Comes from a family of six and is the second eldest sibling of four. While his family comes from money and an inherited (technological) company, he and most of his siblings chose to lead lives that aren't directly related to the family company and management. Has a tight bond with his immediate family, as well as some extended.
  • Born and raised in a syndicate. Some of both his immediate and extended family become involved with an ongoing syndicate some time ago. Both he and his older sibling (the one that chose to prepare for an eventual career with the company) take part in the syndicate exchanges, too, and in his case, had been trained in techwear and combat to help with expenditures. (tl;dr: he's a hacker that leverages his family background)
  • Forged a mean streak after a younger sibling got involved. Syndicate business always comes with risks, and once upon a time, one of his younger siblings paid the price for it as an attempted threat. They lived and the threat backfired, but that incident as a whole pretty much triggered a teeny tiny vindictive button that's been left on to this day. Fun guy to be around, but will absolutely fuck right back with you if you fuck around with him first. :sworddoggofast:
  • Moved to Hoenn with his elder sibling. This wasn't without some hesitance and reluctance from him out of worry and fear for his siblings, but after being convinced by his parents, he and his sibling moved regions. Public friends assume it's to spread company reach (in his sibling's case) in other places. In reality, it's really just to spread syndicate reach and influence, on top of forging more connections.
  • Joined Team Rocket for connection's sake and other things. More or less just seemed like killing two birds with one stone. He gets an easy way into the nitty gritty parts of the region on top of getting an easier avenue for more connections.
  • Currently lives in Slateport City. He knows that the team base is open to him, but he's made his home in a condo off in the better part of the city. Works as a casino dealer, where he (with agreement of some higher ups) is known to swindle some customers and players between work and games.
