The Safari Zone had gotten new Pokémon, as always exciting though Johanna hadn’t visited it in forever.

But when she heard rumors that there were rare Paldean Pokémon to be found in there, well she just had to go there!

And so she had made her way there, even paid for one of those PREMIUM SAFARI TICKETS. And now found herself walking through the lush nature that made-up the Safari Zone, accompanied by Shiinotic, which currently hummed a lovely melody.

The Bewear was beyond itself with excitement when Ruby accepted its hug. Honestly, she might’ve even caught a glint of happiness in its eyes before its big lumbering arms would wrap themselves around her and squish her tightly into the fur. Luckily, though the hug might be a bit tight, the Bewear was well capable of controlling its hugging-strength, and so the hug was given.

The Security-Clown chuckled at the sight. The tell-tale signs of a nervous smile was clear to his well trained eyes.

“Well if that’s the case, then I am sure you know his trainer as well!” The clown proclaimed. Smile wide as only a clown could make it.

“So, what brings you here? The Park or are you perhaps having a reunion?” A jovial smile and an amused tone to his voice as he spoke. Eyes following the Bewear and Ruby as the Pokémon gently placed the woman back down on earth, before giving her a few gentle headpats as was appropriate.


LOCATION: Ever Grande City - Joyland

The pack of Pokémon led by a little girl quickly came into view. And not more than moments later did she find herself embraced in a hug that she reciprocated. “Ettie!” She replied with happiness in her voice.

“I am doing good. How about you? I hope the trip wasn’t too rough.” Johanna asked letting Ettie out of the hug.

“Yes! We’ve got it all! Be it big, loud and glowy fun!” Johanna smiled and gestured for the wonderland behind her. “And don’t you worry. We won’t have to stand in que!” Privileged, perhaps. But There was no way she would let Ettie wait in a queue.

Johanna was about to lead them all to their private gate when she realized something. “It’s going to be packed in there with people and Pokémon, will your pack be alright?” They did after all seem to be on the wilder side of things.

LOCATION: EVER GRANDE CITY -> JOYLAND
MISSION: VACATION TIME

The battle raged on, Ghostly steel met Ghostly steel, moments before flashing electricity bathed Effie and to some extent Johanna in a Thunder Wave.

And so Dorian's possession came to a halt.

A heavy almost defeated sigh escaped Johanna as she watched Callan and Josh finishing the job. Legs wobbled, then buckled beneath her wait as she fell to her knees, Dorian cleaning against the ground.

Whatever else that needed doing would need to be done by The others.

LOCATION: The Border

The bright light blinded all those who looked upon it directly.

A small giggle escaped Johanna. Of course it can do that. She thought, as if the very notion of mega evolution had been forgotten for a moment.

Well, this was a harsh reminder of its existence and Drifblim was about to learn that lesson.

The now Dragon type Charizard set upon the flying balloon. Instinctively knowing that even a singular hit could mean the end, the Drifblim deflated some of its air and attempted to MINIMIZE its body to dodge the attack by letting gravity pull it down quickly.

It was successful. But for how long could it keep dodging?

Unfortunately Johanna was at a loss. With the BURN from before, and now Mega Evolution, Drifblim did not have much of a chance. But she did want to see how Drifblim handled this situation. And so she allowed it to play out a bit longer.



TLDR: (Trick room 2/5)

- Drifblim uses MINIMIZE to dodge.
- Johanna realizes this battle might very well be lost, but wants to see how Drifblim handles it.

Their blows were struck, yet the difference in power was staggering. Gengar was sent flying back to the ground, landing with a heavy thud as a small dust cloud emerged. But it was quick to force itself back on its feet.

That’s a rather problematic move. Johanna thought. That ‘Me First’ means we can’t go up close.

Johanna kept pondering her options. Given the way typings were now. She would have to be careful. If ‘Me First’ worked the way she thought it did. Mega evolving would pose and even bigger threat now, since Gengar couldn’t tank hits any longer.

“Keep your distance!”

Gengar nodded. A SHADOW BALL was quickly formed in its hand and thrown toward the Mismagius.

A loud gasp escaped from the audience, some gasped with excitement, others of fear, as Pokemon-Isaac’s true colors were revealed to them.

But Pokémon-Isaac did not notice. It’s fist too busy slamming into the Blastoise. For a moment the Bewear thought that it had succeeded in knocking it out. But then the truth was revealed. Eyes snapped open and a small laugh emerged like an anime-villain taking the full force of the protagonist's attack, and barely feeling it.

Pokémon-Isaac had underestimated the strength or skill of the Blastoise and quickly found himself thrown at his team-mate, skidding against the ground in best anime fashion.

But Pokémon-Ruby was quick and observant. She noticed the flying teddy-bear going in her direction and well… Stepped out of the way as the Bewear flew past, quickly beset upon by the Dragonite.

Finally the Bewear’s tumbling came to an end as it anchored its arm in the battlefield, halting right at the edge. Though disoriented it noticed the Dragon heading toward it and decided to meet force with force, to be precise FORCE PALM.

The Small glowing orb from before formed in the palm of its paw before he swung said paw towards the Dragonite’s now watery tail prepared to take the damage that such a collision was sure to cause.

Tinkaton’s eyes well upon the unfavorable position that Pokémon-Isaac found itself in, and for a short second she considered helping The Bewear fight of her angry-ex.

But then Johanna’s voice rang out.

“Ruby, Isaac can handle himself.”

Yes. Ruby had to have faith in her teammate.

And just in time as the WATER PULSE washed over her. The pain was one thing, but the way the pulsating messed with her hair. The grip on her hammer grew tighter, should anyone take a proper look they’d notice how her tine fingers bent the metal in the hammer’s handle.

Tinkaton swung the hammer around and charged at the Blastoise as a war cry for the ages escaped her. Luckily nobody save the Pokémon here would surely understand what she said otherwise they’d realize she was really just screaming ‘HOW DARE YOU MESS WITH MY HAIR!’

For someone carrying something so big, she was surprisingly speedy, and Blastoise’s face would soon be on the receiving end of a GIGATON HAMMER greeting, if it didn’t try to dodge.

Dorian, DO NOT HURT ETTIE!

Johanna’s soul screamed at the Doublade possessing her.

The Doublade spirit did not answer, but being connected she knew the message reached loud and clear.

Dorian was quick, but even his speed just barely managed to dodge the fangs of the attacking beast.

A ‘Tch’ escaped from Johanna’s mouth.

And with that it seemed Scarlet finally found its footing within Ettie and began to move about. Ettie’s body vaulted like a beast into action. And Dorian watched carefully. Admittedly though her style was savage it had a certain edge to it, a beauty which he could not deny. He would give Scarlet that much, as a piece of martial art, she had potential.

Callan Young joined the fight, sending POLLEN PUFFS into the air to help friend and fight foe alike as he loudly commanded them to not hurt Ettie.

“Aye aye…” Dorian using Johanna’s mouth replied with a certain sassy irksomeness before he jumped into action once more. PURSUIT was his move of choice, it made the most sense as he charged toward Ettie and Scarlet.

This time Dorian would aim for the Sword-spirit in Ettie’s hand to slow her down long enough for THUNDER WAVE to hit, indifferent to the fact that Johanna’s body would almost certainly be hit as well.

LOCATION: The Border

Of course Johanna expected a reaction. Though she hadn’t expected the reaction to be a laugh. But Megan was quick to follow it up with words.

And Johanna was quick to listen. At first the jokes came, then the proclamation of what could best be described as a training montage, and lastly, lastly Megan voiced her worries.

And Johanna “it’s okay, you aren’t overstepping anything.” Johanna replied. “And I appreciate you saying it.” Johanna stopped.

“But don’t worry. I do it because I want to.” At least by now she had convinced herself that it was the case.

Either way their conversation would be cut short as someone knocked on the door. One of the doctors had come to check up on her.

Their conversation would have to wait until they were done.

LOCATION: LILYCOVE CITY

Johanna wasn’t surprised by the lack of urgency. If Hypnosis had been enough to win a match against an Elite Four, she would have been sorely disappointed. But what happened surprised her.

Bathed in Brilliant light doth the Mismagius awake. Having now acquired a new type by forgoing the old.

A brief moment of uncertainty washed over Johanna. From the shine Mismagius seemed to be Electric type now, which meant the ordered hex wouldn’t have the Same type attack boost. But could she afford to take the hit.

Gengar made the choice for her. Taking the hit. Feeling the pain as a reddish shine appeared. The Gengar’s CURSED BODY had activated, attempting to put a lockdown curse on the HEX.

But that was not all. Gengar lunged forward hoping to jump high enough to use all the pain and suffering the Hex had caused to fuel a gruesome PAYBACK punch.

The Tinkaton tried to stick to the Dragonite, as she tried to keep the cheek smooching going, suckling upon the Dragonite’s energies and embarrassment as nourishment.

But alas Dragonite did not seem to find the smooches appealing as THUNDER WAVE bathed the Tinkaton in painful electricity, forcing her to leave her victim as she tumbled to the ground, hammer following along.

But no more than a moment later she would be up and about, angry at the Dragonite’s declining of her love.

And you know what they say. Hell knows no fury like a Tinkaton scorned. The carefree expression on Tinkaton went from sweet and nice to very much a copy of Ruby Garcia’s resting bitch face. And with the full force of her arms, the Tinkaton tried to deliver her opinion on Dragonite playing with her heart with a BRUTAL SWING of her hammer aimed straight at its face.

But the lovers' quarrel wasn't the only battle upon this field.

The AURA SPHERE flew quickly and struck true, hitting the Bewear straight in its face. For a moment it stood completely still. Its face was as emotionless as before, but then something changed. A glint appeared in its eyes as it bent forward. A glint of happiness, followed by a small smile as it slowly began to step forward swinging its arms from side to side.



But as it moved a reddish aura began to emanate from it. One might even get the idea that the Bewear was angry, though could not be further from the truth. And then as the Bewear took a step, its body tensed for a brief moment. The muscle’s beneath its fur were briefly visible as it empowered its body with SUPERPOWER.



And then as its foot met with the ground it charged forward at incredible speed aiming to slam its fist straight into the face of Blastoise.




TLDR:

Johanna had taken a well deserved day off. But that didn’t mean that she wouldn’t spend the day at her theme park.

For once she would not wear the costume of the Jester Queen, but rather play the role of your average guest. Clad in casual black clothes in a punk-ish style with the logo of the now disbanded TERAVOLT painted across her front.

She stood waiting for a very special guest.

Her gaze wandered around the many visitors, the ques were long and growing ever longer by the minute, starting from the huge fantastical gate to the wonderland beyond. She hoped the amount of people wouldn’t prove too much for Ettie.

But as always it would not be boring to wait in ques, she had done her best to have designated spots for jester-performers to provide some momentary entertainment for those waiting.
