A bizarre and electrifying roar reverberates throughout the power plant after absalom steel utters his question. Strangely enough, this roar coincides with a brief activation of all the power plant's systems. They are bathed in artificial light for a second before they shut down again. At that point, Cade knows the other half of their team is in trouble and snaps to it.

"We need to regroup with the others," He states, summoning his Oricorio to his arm after he raises it. "Ready, Sofía?" The little bird chirps in reply as she stretches her wings for a boost in AGILITY. Then, without another hesitation, she takes off in flight down the hallways from whence they came. Turning back to the youth, Cade continues. "You're good finding your way back to us, right?"

Before Absalom can answer, however, a BATON PASS snatches Cade away in a puff of ghostly smoke. The young trainer will find himself in the company of the Oricorio instead, who will help lead him back to the others anyway should he need it. Meanwhile, Cade has already regrouped with Summer Atreides and raphael dos plumas to pay witness to a strange and electrifying goliath (REGIELEKI) emerging from a caved-in part of the power plant floor.

"What the hell is that?!"

Oh, Arceus.

He'd never thought a Hoennian woman would have him so wrapped around her finger as she did. But Summer Atreides wasn't your typical Hoennian woman. The closer she pressed into him, the clearer it became that the two were simply made for each other. How deep that little revelation went remained to be seen, however.

Regardless, she had him so submerged in ecstasy and comfort that he couldn't help but loll his head back and hum. "Mm, yeah... when I'm finished. That's right, mami."

It's hard for the mercenary not to realize just how vulnerable he is around her. Though, frankly, it's surprising that he's only just realized how effortlessly she's managed to coerce him into exposing his jugular so freely. Rather than the cold slice of a blade, however, she rewards such behavior with the richest affections he's experienced in quite some time.

And, like a dog receiving pets for being such a good boy, he lazily eats it all up for as long as she's willing to give it.

"I wish we could just stay like this, right here, forever..." He admits in a pleasure-hazed mutter.

Something told him she wasn't granting him the full picture. How could she, in such few words? Nevertheless, he decides not to push for more information. This wasn't an interrogation, after all. So, with an understanding shrug and not even a single glance over his shoulder, he nods. "That's fair."

He'd done terrible things for not agreeing with 'business strategies or motions' himself. The man he'd once respected more than anyone else in the entire world; the man that he'd once called Don and even father— dead at his hands.

At any rate, the concoction he'd mixed together was now hot enough to serve. Scents of honey, lemon, and some sort of medicinal juice filled Summer's home as Cade went about carefully pouring out some in a mug. "It's a little hot, mami. Want me to cool it down for you?"

Cade couldn't help but laugh when raphael dos plumas electrocuted himself. Despite the fact that they'd only just met today, such a funny sight naturally prompted him to tease the man as though he were his foolish little brother. The staticky poofed-up hair that occurred as a result certainly didn't help things.

"Jaja! Coño! Don't expect this place to follow any safety regulations at all, my friend." Turning to Summer Atreides next, he smiles. "Think you can help patch him up, amor? I'm going to investigate the area a bit to make sure we're not sharing the space with something else." He states, turning to absalom steel next.

The boy was young and somewhat reminded him of himself at that age. Nevertheless, Cade would keep an eye out for him. Hoennian kids weren't nearly as tough as Paldean kids, after all. "You coming with, kid?" He asks as his Oricorio perches itself on his shoulder once more. "Might find something interesting in there, you never know."

Whether or not absalom steel accepted his offer, the one-eyed Paldean would eventually advance into the DEPOWERED POWER STATION nearby. With a flashlight in hand, Cade would investigate the various power-bank levels and machinery therein. Just like before, however, nothing valuable stood out to him. Nothing he could carry back into the portal, anyway. Not without a SYGNA SUIT.

He was back in the realm of ULTRA PLANT. As haunting as the first expedition had been, Cade simply couldn't resist jumping at the first chance he got to return. This time, however, he was coming in alongside Summer Atreides herself. The natural sense of comfort she made him feel was enough to dampen his nerves as they entered the strange world.

Perched upon his shoulder was his oldest companion: the SENSU STYLE ORICORIO known as SOFÍA. The static in the air seemed to have a ruffling effect on her feathers. She didn't seem to be scared, however. Instead, she idly went about grooming herself as her trainer joined the others. "I've been here once before. There's a lot of machinery and cables. This time I came prepared." He adds.

The bag slung over his shoulders was filled with all manner of tools. Though, admittedly, he couldn't be one hundred percent certain they wouldn't come across something he wasn't ready for. He was sure they all assumed that, however.

Thankfully, this was not one of these cases.

Pulling out a set of zipline hooks, he hands one to each group member before taking the initiative himself. Though not before stealing a quick kiss from Summer Atreides first. "See you there, mami." Then, with so little hesitation that some might call him reckless, Cade runs towards the zipline and takes off, prompting SOFÍA to take off of his shoulder as well.

"Whoo!"

Lavender and honey. It is rather soothing. Though, inevitably, guilt begins to rear its pitiful face as he is reminded of the life he'd left behind. This was not something he deserved. And, though Summer Atreides was part of TEAM ROCKET, he was still needlessly endangering her. She did not, after all, know about LOS CUERVOS or the bounty on his head.

Nevertheless, when she inches her face over to look at him, he can't help but softly smile. Maybe just this time... this one time, he could be allowed to indulge in such comfort. MARIA would have understood. She had always joked that she had a secret list of rich older men she would have married if he'd kicked the bucket first. And she had always made him promise that he would move on if she ever...

He closes his eyes again, burying his expression in her hair as his muscular arms gently tighten around Summer's waist, pulling her intimately close. "Yeah."

The entity dwelling within the sands finds itself incapable of escaping. Furthermore, a SPRINGTIDE STORM sweeps across the beach in hues of pink before revealing the true identity of this 'monster': a PALOSSAND. Cade figured as much. The sight of the large sand castle begrudgingly taking shape before them was not so surprising to him.

The strange SPRINGTIDE STORM that the LUXRAY had called forth, however, did. Casually, as if they weren't in imminent danger of being swallowed up by the ghostly sand, he turns to the little girl and says: "I've never seen a Luxray do that before. What kind of attack was it?" The mercenary prided himself on being extremely knowledgeable about the subject, after all. Not knowing stung his pride.

Meanwhile, NADYA the SABLEYE operates independently of her trainer. The PALOSSAND attempts to BULLDOZE the small gremlin with an earth-trembling charge but said gremlin simply leapfrogs over it before striking down with its claws (KNOCK OFF). This seems to separate it from a good chunk of its primary mass (SOFT SAND).

A wry smile spreads across his face when he catches her looking. Sometimes he forgot just how equal their libido for each other was. In fact, Cade was used to being chastised for it in other relationships. Always the insatiable wolf who needed to be calmed down.

To see it in Summer as much as he was used to seeing it in himself was refreshing. Almost as refreshing as the sip of the drink he swiftly steals from her. "Mmm... just work. I don't regret tying things up a little early to be here with you, though," He adds, passing her cocktail back to her before swiping his tongue across his upper lip with a smile.

"I'm glad I did, too."

The sun being a constant reminder as it shone down on them relentlessly, however, the Paldean reaches into his bag. He pulls out a tube of sunscreen before long and holds it out towards Summer with a suggestive look. "You do me, I do you? How does that sound?" He alluringly asks.

The mark she leaves on his neck elicits a half-moan, half-chuckle from Cade's lips before he responds with a short nod. "Maybe. Though sometimes I feel like those sorts of things are completely out of my control..." He quietly adds. Though thoughts of Maria and the other skeletons in his closet promptly urge him to steer the conversation elsewhere.

Thankfully, Summer's continued affections proved to be the sweetest distraction from it all. Perhaps even a little too effective, he thought. One could certainly get used to this.

As if she'd read his mind, Cade finds himself delving deeper into these feelings as they share a soft and surprisingly intimate kiss. Butterflies dance in his stomach. A sudden wave of comfortable elation sweeps through his body. Before he has a chance to really process these feelings, however, her remark catches him off guard and erects a defensive measure.

"A-Ah... I'm afraid it isn't done yet, cariña..." He responds, his one-eyed gaze flitting elsewhere. It was a profoundly personal work. And, though he did plan on publishing it, he wasn't sure he intended to see it get published. Some of the greatest writers and artists in the world only experienced fame posthumously, after all.

Nevertheless, he steels himself before looking back at the beauty in his arms and gently smiling. His hands idly trace the curve of her lower back. "There are much more interesting things we can do, anyway, hm?"

Setting the bottle of whiskey down on the counter for a moment, Cade went about boiling some water before grabbing a knife to deftly slice a lemon. "A scoundrel, hm?" The man reiterates, his back turned to the sniffling beauty on the couch for now.

In many ways, he could be considered a scoundrel himself. There was a lot that Summer had yet to know about him. Oddly enough, it scared him to wonder how she would react to learning about his past; about his original identity.

"What did your father do to deserve that reputation?" He hesitantly asks with a glance over his shoulder. Though he's grateful for Tarot, as the Eevee snuggles Summer in his place, he can't help but worry if he'd crossed a line there.

His body ached after what they had practiced. The invitation to her bedroom for some much-needed rest and recuperation was irresistible. Not that he would have looked for a reason to reject it anyway. Especially with a breakfast by the delivery on the horizon. "That sounds perfecto, mami." Cade hums as he's gently reeled under the covers.

It takes some shifting but, eventually, the two find themselves cocooned against one another. Unsurprising to him at this point, Summer fits perfectly in his embrace as the 'little spoon' of this pair. The scent of shampoo in her hair elicits a pleased inhale and smile.

"This is nice... and you smell good. What is that?"
