Xiura sipped at her champagne glass full of berry-infused sparkling water, surveying the dessert table to ensure everything was in place. She had to elevate her usually rustic manner of baking to match the grandiose aura and decor of the GALERIE MIRAGE. On the table was a wide assortment of desserts, arranged in individual serving sizes like classic hors d'oeuvres. On one rose-gold tray was an array of green matcha and white chocolate tarts, piped with raspberry puree and adorned with whole raspberries for garnish. On yet another tray were rose-shaped bowls of earl grey and lavender ice cream, speckled with candied lavender petals in white and violet hues. Long-stemmed glasses trimmed with gold bore many-layered trifles of decadent cream, rosewater-soaked ladyfingers, and macerated strawberries.

Xiura greeted Seraphine D’aureville with a bright smile as the other woman approached, accepting the compliment with a gracious nod and toast of her glass. The tapioca pudding Seraphine was referring to was a coconut-milk based pudding with clear, tiny tapioca pearls and diced chunks of ripe mango. "Thank you, I'll pass along the compliment to Incineroar. I hope your guests are enjoying the remainder of the desserts as well."

Casting her gaze over to the Smeargle at the other end of the room, Xiura commented, "I'm really looking forward to seeing Rouge's artwork! I know he's been working on it for months now. Is it nearly time for the reveal?"

Thrilled by the success of her Mantine and herself in the previous trick, Xiura immediately treated the water Pokemon to a long rest, as well as the promised dessert! The mantine chowed down on a strawberry and cream poffin, while Xiura made sure to stay hydrated in the hot sun.

Finally, re-energized and hopeful, they went for the next surfing trick:

For her second run down the stage, Xiura wore a pure white one piece swimsuit, its asymmetrical neckline cresting over only her left shoulder and leaving the other bare. A wing-like applique crafted of gossamer was pinned to the shoulder of the piece, aesthetically draping down along the shoulder blade. In her hair, a web of translucent crystals was carefully pinned throughout the violet-blue ringlets, falling in a loosely curled chignon over her bare shoulder. Her sandals were crystal-white as well, with ornamental ribbons winding in crisscrossing helices up to her lower thighs.

As she glided down the runway, water fell like a RAIN DANCE, and with its dissipation in the hot summer air, created a soft, ethereal screen of mist. The stage lights were caught and refracted in these minuscule, drifting prisms, and so too were the multitudinous, miniature crystals painstakingly sewn into eddying WHIRLPOOL-like patterns on her pure white swimsuit and the crystal pins fastened throughout her deep purple hair. A soft iridescent radiance sparkled from her and from the droplets caught adrift in the air as though time had slowed in a dream.

At the end of the runway, Xiura twirled once, smiling for the judges, then pulled a WATER GUN somehow secreted beneath the curls of her thick hair and sprayed it at the crowd with a playful smile. After her surprise, she tossed the near-empty water gun to a person in the crowd. She walked all the way back to the beginning of the runway, then burst into a laugh. This was so fun!

Xiura was a bit disconcerted by the negative reactions around her to dahlia goode's speech. Her recent arrival to Hoenn was not yet enough time to establish a robust understanding of the politics and disaster responses the League had executed to warrant such a polarized spectrum of reactions from the crowd.

In any case, the music of Melody Miro was very pleasant to hear! She nodded along with the music, finding her hometown's traditional dance classes not quite adequate for moving her body in accordance with this new, modern pop rhythm. And to hear that Aurelie Lefevre's forge was sponsoring such a splendid concert! Xiura would have to find and congratulate her friend later.

Xiura didn't know the words, but the lyrics were quite moving and profound:

"Go on now, go, walk out the door
Just turn around now, 'cause you're not welcome anymore
Weren't you the one who tried to break me with goodbye?
Did you think I'd crumble? Did you think I'd lay down and die?"

Between the vibrantly undulating masses of people swarming the concert grounds, Xiura spotted a glimpse of a familiar face: @marshall.

She hadn't yet seen any other friends, so she naturally gravitated towards her red-headed friend.

"Marshall! Hello! Nice to see you here!" she called out, her voice abnormally thin and delicate competing against the resonant roar of the crowd. She also noticed another man beside him, and greeted him with a polite but sincere smile. "Hello! Nice to meet you! I'm Xiura!"

"I've never heard this song before, but I really like it!"

Delighted to have survived three throws in a row before, Xiura came up to the throwing line with a renewed sense of excitement and resolve. With a lighthearted "Sorry in case this hits!", she threw the Pokeball at the target, hoping her aim would be accurate.

Bufo the Poliwrath pulled Xiura down to the seabed where she started once again digging for intriguing trinkets amid the debris and kelp. When she finally had a couple of handfuls of interesting-looking objects, he pulled her up to the surface.
