His chest lifted once more with a gradual breath, his hands joining together within a fold in the space of his lap as he crossed a leg over the other.[break][break]

A confession he hadn’t quite been expecting, though one he’d received, nevertheless. His gaze remained high prior to eventually straying within a gradual manner, eventually finding itself looming upon the person by him from the edge of its boundaries. While he’d went as far as to put distance between himself and the main attractions for once, he would’ve been lying if he said the energy hadn’t been infectious. After catching the attention of a bartender just long enough to request and obtain another drink, he turned his gaze towards the stage once more. A small smirk tugged upon his lips as he took a well awaited sip, hearing the voice of the singer carry across the clearing.[break][break]

He’d only had enough time to join the chorus for a moment, taking a deep breath and barely yelling, ”Adrian!” amidst the masses before finding his attention drifted elsewhere.[break][break]

…Towards a familiar face, specifically, not too long after feeling a tap upon his shoulder. Raising a brow, his lip tugged further in amusement, and he’d only opened his mouth faintly and for a moment’s worth of time with the intent to begin a greeting before nothing more than a stifled cackle escaped his lips.[break][break]

He stared at the packet as it impacted her, and then as it fell to the ground.[break][break]

”Damn…” he snorted, peering towards her from the corner of his eye. ”Classy entrance. Ten outta ten~.”

It was hard to be disappointed when the assumed became reality. Most people he’d had the pleasure of knowing often took him for the type of blind optimism; to figure that the best case scenario would be enacted by none others’ hands than his own. He only hoped that it could be the case.[break][break]

Regardless of his hopes and dreams, however, he knew that most things were simply wishful thinking.[break][break]

So, upon noting the woman’s responses, his own had simply come in the form of a soft smile of amusement, as well as a chuckle to join it. ”So closed off as always,” he mused, sighing quietly. ”Can’t say I’m surprised, but I’m sure you remember that my offer still stands~.”[break][break]

With the empowered projections of music blasting well throughout the beach, it was hard not not to hear the songs and the like playing for all to hear, and he’d been no exception to its captivating melodies. The notes rang true through the air as the atmospheric energy maintained an all time high, but as he rose a glass to his lips, he found his mind drifting towards the words spoken by the woman that introduced the performers, altogether.[break][break]

He glanced down before long, finding himself at a loss of the very same drink he enjoyed as the remaining parts washed down.[break][break]

Another speck of gold apart from the Ampharos’ own pelt caught his attention, and after just a moment’s worth of thought, he tapped the back of the Tyrantrum he sat upon, breathing a quick, ”Down, Eltanin,” in request before sliding himself from the beast’s form once lowered.[break][break]

He jogged over to meet Botein soon after, only exchanging a swift glance within his beady eyes before eying the creature garnering his attention. The man’s brows furrowed immediately, and with a soft sigh and a quirk of the lip, he knelt down onto a knee to behold the sight of a familiarly uncharged creature.[break][break]

”...Kinda like you were, huh, Bo~...?” he murmured, giving the sheep by him another smile before glancing back towards the Elekid.[break][break]

He took a spare Pokeball out, gently tapping it atop the electric type’s head.[break][break]
