Quickly the multiple rockruffs started to quickly disappear. Until finally a hit was landed on the real Kazzy, who yelped and turned tail. Fleeing to hide behind Matt and whine. Matt sighed, rubbing his eyes. "You know we battle, right, Kaz?" He reassured the pup. Kazzy frowned, whimpering and soon stepping back forward. "Come on, we got this." Reassuring him some more, he knelt down, to scratch his head. "Why don't we spice it up, eh?"

Smirking, he gave his boyfriend a smirk. That pika wanted to play that game? Alright.

"Crunch."

Kazzy's ears shot straight up, and a fanged smirk spread over his face. Sharp canines extending from his maw, before he darted forward, going to try and chomp right down on that tail!

More diving! Must get all the prizes! Had to win them all for Nico! Man, Matt was going to get water logged if he kept this up... Maybe there was a water-type canine pokemon...

"Tch, of course." Matt said playfully, rolling his eyes and sticking his tongue out at Nico.

Kazzy looked offended. Huffing and now just pouting at this, looking back to Matt for some help here. He glanced down at him, and soon nodded. Snapping his fingers to get him to focus again, KAzzy set his gaze forward again. "Alright Kazzy, use Double Team! He wants to be fast, so will we!"

A bark of approval, before Kazzy started to suddenly blur in his spot. Several versions of the puppy appear, all barking and growling at Kazzy. Fake snapping at him like they were all gonna come for him!

Matt huffed. Really? How was this just getting worse, and worse... Sighing, fine. "Hmhp." It wasn't a no, so. The MC was smirking, eating all this up, along with the crowd. Who all were now parting ways for another Pokemon to come through. A Throh. Yes, of course that was the sibling.

Fighting wise, this would should realistically be tougher than the Sawk. The bigger build, built more for taking and throwing hits. Looking at Isaac, he motioned forward. "By all means, since you started this fight." He paused, looking back to the pokemon. "... I got your back." He meant it.

"Alright, let's get ready to rumble!" Yelled the MC, the Throh came to the ring. Stamping it's feet and clapping it's hands together. It was ready.

Isaac Merlo

Matt had lost sight of Kazzy in the sand. The only thing left of him was his tail, that was like a shark fin out of it. Running around blindly within the sandy depths of the beach. Only shaking his head, at least he wasn't chasing any pokemon, or Juvon.

Nana did not seemed bothered by Dagger getting on her. Barking and going to lick the smaller canine. But all their attention was drawn to the fact at the charging Pyroar- and Nana stepped in front of the boys, protectively, at first. Until the scent of Josh hit her nose, snorting and then just flopping. No reason to watch if it was a friend!

"Vwh- Josh?" Matt was taken off guard too. Reaching a hand up to wave up at him. "Well, yeah, I know him. We met a few days ago... actually he was with me when I got Deemu. Did I not explain? oops."

Catching a poochyena was not on his to do list today. But! Now! He had himself a new addition to the team. Hopefully Nico did not get to mad he was bringing home a new mouth to feed... Or Tekka get jealous of another dark type. It was fine, surely! "Guess I'll call this little lady Deemu." Setting the ball into his pocket, he heaved himself onto his feet.

Going to Nana, he stroked along her fur. Turning back to stare at Josh with a sparkle in his eyes. "Oh yeah?" He was goaded on, not that Matt was that proud of himself. However, Nana was. She puffed out her chest, blowing a plume of smoke out of her nostrils. Flaunting herself as she snatched up Matt to plop him on her back.

"I think she agrees!"

It was like second natural to Matt. To step up and protect others. A reason he wanted to be a ranger, to protect people. Even if the other reason was probably selfish. His thoughts though right now were distracted; dodging and ducking swings. Watching how angry the Sawk was growing from the fact he was able to dodge. "Ain't you ever heard takes more to swing and miss than me to dodge your dumbass?" He taunted the Sawk.

It worked! It just kept swinging. Getting more enraged the more Matt egged it on. Red eyes flashed to Isaac, surprise coming over his face as the Sawk was grabbed and being choked out. Without hesitation, Matt swooped in. Taking several jabs to the Sawk's chest, knocking what air it had in it's lungs back out. Before a swift uppercut to the chaw. It was like punching a mountain, it hurt like hell.

There was no stopping Matt though, he kept swinging. Until he stepped back, panting as he rubbed his knuckles. The Sawk was bruised and lumped, gasping for air. It... made Matt feel bad. Frowning as he spat at the ground. "This is over. Give me the pokeballs!" He demanded to the MC, who was just grinning.

"But that was only the first event! Sawk here has a sibling that would love to take you two on, as well!"

Matt blinked, shaking his head. "Hey! No! That wasn't the deal you fucker!"

Isaac Merlo

Kazzy perked his ears up at the sound of a battle. What was going on? The dancing pup stopped his dance, looking between the two humans talking. Eyes going wide when he realized he was about to be able to play chase without getting yelled at! Yes! He approved of this!

Matt saw Kazzy get excited, ready to bolt- but instead he just seemed happy to get to battle. "Guess he wants too." Rubbing the back of his neck, he shrugged at Nico. "Sure, why not?"

Snapping his fingers, Kazzy's ears shot up. It was something him and Matt had been working on, snap commands. Slow process, though.

"Alright Kazzy, lets start this off with... Scary Face!"

Kazzy locked his paws, trying to look as intimidating as possible for a puppy of all things, but the way his muzzle peeled back, baring the fangs that were hidden within his cute faces, eyes glowing red as he snarled at the Pikachu. He was super scary, right?!

Matt, always said, he hated the beach. At last sand. Annoying. Got everywhere. It's already between his toes. The water would be a better place to be. In there with his boyfriend, seeing him soaked... that made him trail off in thought. A dopey smile came to his face, looking like he was enjoying his daydream- until Kazzy barked and got his attention. The canine bringing him back garbage that needed to be cleaned up.

"Oh, huh? Sorry, what?" He looked at Nico, thinking he had said something to him and not talking to his pokemon. Seeing Lilypad out, he snorted at the poor goat being disgruntled over the sand in her nose. "Eh, why not make it a party?" He asked Nico, soon letting loose Nana and Dagger. Nana barking happily, rolling right into the sand. While Dagger made a face, going to climb on top of Nana to get away from the sand now.

"Well... aight then you guys."

Listening to the thoughts of his boyfriend had him almost in his own daze. Whenever Nico went into thought like this, he was always just got lost in his words. So a battle. That's what really stuck through into Matt's head. Well if he needed a battle, he could certainly provide his boyfriend with one for practice.

"Well if you need a battle, why don't we do a practice one? Could get the energy out of Kazzy, also give Dagger some practice.."

Dagger was so antisocial, he really needed to get them more socialized with others. "What do you say, babe?"

It puzzled him why he was so concerned over Kazzy. Did he really just want to steal the pup? Or did he actually give a crap? Kazzy only was being nice to him after the fight.. .That was neither here or there right now. Turning his attention to the Sawk, he looked him over. They were roughly the same height, even if this Sawk was built even for it's size. Crap. One wrong punch and he'd send Matt to the hospital.

He would have normally been the first to make a move- however the Sawk did. Kicking off the floor in a blue blue, going straight for Isaac. Matt thought for the briefest moment to let him have it- but no. Quickly shoving himself between Isaac and the Sawk, he got knocked to the side. Matt stumbled, feeling the hand that smacked him had hit his shoulder. It hurt like hell. Rolling his shoulder as he spat towards the Pokemon.

"All you got?" He hissed, bringing his fists up and motioning with his fingers. "Bring it on."

A new fire was lit under the Sawk. It swooped for Matt, who was lucky to dodge it's swings. Ducking and dancing back, smirking towards the pokemon. "What, can't hit me?"
