Happiness swells in her, as he explains not only that it was about time. The thank you is sweet, but the finger gun leads to her own face flushing in that scarlet. "Hahaha, iunno! You think any guys are into ditzy redheads from Galar?" She was giving herself so little credit, but she points back towards him with the same finger gun.

She knows she's got her worth. Genny knows her worth, so it's not self-doubt. Instead, it's more a teasing gesture, a little fun. With a giggle, she gives every bit that same sunshine smile she always did. If they do, she knew she'd rock their world anyways.

The question came of weekend duties, and as she places a finger to her chin, she gives a nod. "Not this weekend! I'm all yours, Lammy!" with her exclaimation, she has one of his hands in her own. She was excited to meet him, if he could come!

Seeing those green eyes of his brighten up is just like old times. With their plans now cemented, she nods with a giggle. "Hehe, do I! Of course! I have to make sure he's treating you well!"

She worried for her friend, so now she had to go see this guy herself. She'd never make a scene of it, but there was part of her that wanted to bring someone too. So, she says all of a sudden. "I'll try to bring someone too, so we can have a small group getaway to the hot springs!"

Now the only question was whomst? Guess she had to go to a mixer now or something.

There's a blink. So they joined at the same time! "October! We joined at the same time, neat!" She coos out, as they reach the fourth floor landing. This person was interesting at least.

As they did get to the fourth floor, Genny begins walking forward without much care in the world. Knowing well enough that the nest was in her own apartment. "Oh, ignore the neighbor! He's probably out this time of day anyways!" She didn't go into detail on that. Best not to think about it.

The door opens as Genny unlocks it, and... well, the sheer state of the studio apartment was just abyssmal. There were clothes on the floor, the sink had dishes stacked upon dishes, the fridge was rundown with this disturbing humming, and worst of all, there was this smell. Mold? She was living with MOLD?!

Seven Larvesta peek up and look to the two Rangers from the table that they had eaten clean through.

Genny cries out. "I just got that from Good Will! NO!" She's teary-eyed, as she eyes Marshall. With a quick jump in, Mr. Business the Darmantian comes in and slaps one of them with a HAMMER ARM.

Straight-faced, no cap, Genny responds in perhaps the most innocent way possible to his question, the neck craning only adding to the ridiculousness. "Fourth floor, why?" It wasn't a problem for Mr. Business. If anything, she didn't see it as anything wrong. In fact...

All she can do is smile wide towards him, when he agrees to help, as she gets giddy, and opens the door into the apartment space. "Okay! I'll take you to the nest! I think I saw it? Idunno, it looked pretty nesty..." she places a finger upon her chin, before beginning her ascent up the stairs towards the fourth floor.

This place just... does not improve from the interior. It is every bit as rundown as its exterior. There's safety violations far as the eye can see. No wonder they nest here.

"Thank you so much, by the way! So when did you join the Rangers, anyways? I don't think I've seen you around!"

It was idle chit-chat as they rounded the stairs.
Mr. Business behind her is on his Darmantian knees, the gorilla also simulating the praying as if to beg for his help as well.

Puffy cheeks, Genny's eyes squint a moment. When was she not official?! Oh, this boy was gonna get it! But she immediately deflates, as he recognises how she accomplished a lot! Yeah, yeah she did! Well... no, actually. Her life is in ruins, but the small things add up. Sure, she lived in the world's most decrepid apartment next to a drug dealer, but she got like only three-hundred on rent with free utilities!

It's the little things.

When Lam starts on about his boyfriend, Genny's gentle hands are over his mouth. She's positively bouncing like a bubble in the air, only grounded by those lovely legs as he mentions him. "OH MY ARCEUS! You have a boyfriend! I'm so happy for you!" She's positively sunshine in a bottle, she only lets her envy out for a moment. It evaporates soon after though!

"Well, good news for you, Lammy! I'm here to stay, so wish that homesickness away! We're going to go do stuff this weekend when I'm off work!" She's bouncing like a schoolgirl who just got asked to prom, and as she looks to Lam, the question is...

Where?

"There's a beach here, but it's so close to winter, the water is probably freezing. Why not head over to Lavaridge then? They have wonderful hot springs, don't they?" Mr. Buisness hands Genny a pamphlet, as she looks over it. All the Hoenn locations, as she licks a finger to peel through it. "You can bring your boyfriend too, I won't mind!" What was the worse that could happen!

A day trip with an old friend sounds amazing, but a spa day could also be just as good!

Oh, always bad with praise! Same old Lammy, and Genny was just tickled pink, her own blush painting her cheeks. Oh, just like old times! Mr. Business was happy to see him too, as the moment he stopped analyzing, he gave a thumbs up. Comically enough, he nods in quick succession not once, not twice, but three times.

The laughter between them was nice, to say the least, and with him commenting on her own growth, she nods, though she does puff out her cheeks. "Yeah. Growing pains. Back pain. But you know, I look great in this! Thank you for noticing!" The Ranger outfit really did suit her, as Genny even got up to show it off. She's not arrogant, she's just bubbly and wanting to show off her uniform! "I'm a Slateport Ranger! Cadet Cromwell, reporting for duty!" She makes a salute, as if addressing Captain Fawley himself. Then the memory resurfaces, as first time she met him, she called him Captain Fawnley. To say that nearly crushed her was an understatement.

She bursts into a bit of laughter, before turning back to Lammy. "I'm so glad someone else is here in Hoenn. You have NO idea. It's been a little hard, but you know? I make due with what I got! A working lady!" She flexes with one arm, placing her other hand on the bicep, though her strength level would have the muscle going downwards, as Genny was as scrawny as a Sawk who did not eat protein. That is to say, very skinny.

"But exploring somewhere new though sounds really neat! I'd love to come with on my days off! Are you free this weekend?" She's bouncing on her heels, pupils turning into stars. She's so HAPPY!

With a big ol' grin ear to ear, Genny looks at the man before her. He's nice looking enough, he's definitely got a plain face, but she likes it. But when he makes a note of her shift, well...

With a tongue out, and a fist towards her head, she makes a motion to lightly bonk her head. "You got me! This is where I live!" It's honestly not a glamorous building. It's age depicts rot, maitenance not really keeping track of it, and it seems like the kind of place dealers go often to sling drugs around.

Of course a Larvesta attack would hit here, but the woman before Marshall was nothing like that all.

"So I woke up, found my studio was covered in Larvesta, and with Mr. Business, Bubbles, and Serenity, we hopped out the window!" That was a pretty clear explanation, as she gets a little closer, bouncing on her shoes as she looks the guy up and down. Her hands clap together. "Please help. I haven't even taken a bath today!" She was begging, she could even get on her knees!

Mr. Business behind her is on his Darmantian knees, the gorilla also simulating the praying as if to beg for his help as well.

It is one things when Genny finds herself waking up an hour before her shift, as her alarm didn't go off, but it's quite another when messages to the rangers about her building. Why? Because the landlord was very mean! He allowed a whole swarm of Larvesta to attack his apartment's sewage system! Genny spent the entire morning, unable to shower! Her hair was a mess, her face was riddled with sweat, and she had to do the best make-up job she could.

But with puffy cheeks, she sat in her normal Ranger attire, red jacket, black knee socks, red shoes, red scrunchy for her hair... she was hopeful her call for help would get attention.

She does! But now comes the problem. How does she tell the attending Ranger what was going on? As she places a fist on her chin in a thinking position, behind her Mr. Business apes the same position as the duo wait outside the establishment. Sure, she was cleaning up the Larvesta problem without free rent, but that was fine! At least then she could shower.

After today she was going to take a long, hot bath. So with herself checking her watch- 9:30AM -she awaits the arrival, a smile on her slightly glossed lips. Her Azurill and Eevee sit on her shoulders now, as she waits patiently.

Hopefully they were nice enough?

Every star and garter was on fire the moment the voice came back into her life, and brown eyes zipped towards the source. Though it seemed to take less than a minute, glossy lips made an 'OOOOH' before turning into a wholesome smile.

"Lammy! Oh my Arceus!" She's practically bouncing in her seat now, Bubbles and Serenity popping out next to her to get a good look, Mr. Business doing his typical business by waving and sizing Lam up, the Darmantian the biggest Pokemon in the establishment.

She couldn't be any happier than she got to see an old friend here from Alola!

Her voice couldn't help but mimic the warm fuzzies in her heart to boot; and that wasn't just the coffee talking! "Look at you! You've gotten so much taller! And handsome to boot!" This coming from the perpetual four foot eleven adult, but it still showed no slowing to her roll. "What are you doing on Hoenn?"

It was between Pumpkaboo Onesie and Slutty Catgirl.

Pumpkaboo Onesie wins everytime. Not just because she was going to a party with her coworkers who most certainly did not need to see Genny in a state of undress, but it was also was due to the fact that she wasn't particular looking. This was kind of like a mixer with everyone she worked with, and she needed to make sure the first thing they thought of her was positive!

Besides. She wasn't slutty!

It had probably been a few hours, but the lip gloss, eyeliner, nails, everything had to be perfect. She needed to look professional in the pumpkin ghost costume, and she would! She also wouldn't be able to change out of it until she went to a changing room.

Still, once she finishes, and adorns the ghost, she's off to the Slateport Ranger HQ, where she arrives after Captain , , , , , and . All of them looked incredible in their outfits, whether they tried hard or did not! She was making sounds to each within what was essentially the giant body-covering costume, the little beady yellow eyes on the top, with a red ribbon on the front.

"Hello everyone! I'm Cadet Cromwell! You all look wonderful tonight!" She stood right before them, holding the top end of a Pumpkaboo on a stick, as she holds it above her head.

Lots of guys here. Huh. The other girls must be working the nightshift! At least there was the one lady here, who was in an impressive costume all her own. It put the Ghost of Pumpkaboo Future to shame, but then so did most of them! She'd have to try harder next time! Taking the time, she shimmies over in the onesie over towards the back, where the beers were, and snatched one quietly. She liked mingling and feeling a light buzz when talking to new people! It'd help loosen her nerves, because she's so nervous to make a good impression.

Because the first impression for Tam was her looking for Captain Fawnley. She had to fix that mistake!

The best way to relax after a hard day's work is a nice cup of joe! That's what her dad always said. Luckily, Genny was doing just that, still wearing her Ranger attire with the red scrunchy in her hair. She takes the window seat, the cup of coffee warm to her lightly glossed lips within a small little coffee shop slash bakery as she takes her first sip.

The sounds of snacky happiness are that giddy excitement. This was what could get her through one, if not twenty more days of this! And the best part is, they were going to throw out some pastries too! So Serenity, Bubbles, and even Mr. Business had a lovely treat to eat!

Things were looking up! They always did for Genny! Or maybe that was just how she was always looking upwards? It doesn't matter! The point was, she was looking up!

Another sip of the coffee. Super sugary, every bit that milk, and the hazelnut creamer! It tasted like magic in a small round mug, and she loved every second of it, as the small four foot ten girl looks towards her Pokemon, petting the small little Azurill and Eevee, as Mr. Business looked out the window, a big four feet of protection himself.

Today couldn't get any better, could it?

The apartment was a pigsty. There was little to nothing that had order, like a hurricane. But a hurricane would make the whole interior of the little studio of 400 square feet just that much better. The sink had dishes flooding upwards, clothes were thrown about everywhere, the bathroom smelled weird.

Don't worry, the bathroom came that way before renting.

Still, today was the day!

The alarm goes off, and Genny is up at 5AM. She has approximately two hours to get ready, and despite possible neurotic tendencies, she begins the day. First, shower, then teeth brush, then nails, followed by blow dryer, then hairbrush, only after that could she have the Ranger outfit. She finally gets to wear it! She even ironed it last night! It looks so cute! The shoes, the black socks, the top, the jacket! The only thing she didn't like was the hairband, but with a little ingenuity, and a red scrunch, she puts her hair into a cute ponytail to fit the Ranger aesthetic! Next came make-up! The rest of the studio was pretty messy, but the bathroom was perfect. Make-up was color coordinated, and after a light bit of blush, eyeliner, some lip gloss, she looked at the time.

6:45AM! She had time to do laundry!

Running about the apartment, she started to fish every last thing up from her home into the laundry basket Serenity was sleeping in, and as she goes to fish for every piece of cloth, following in her trail is Bubbles, the Azuril with a tiny bow on her left ear. Throwing the clothes on Serenity, and stacking the basket, she calls out.

"Mr. Business, laundry day!" With an audible unga bunga fling upwards, Mr. Business hops from the corner like a beanbag chair given sentience, grabs the basket Serenity was still in, and holds it for Genny to throw blouse by blouse, skirt by skirt, sock by sock, everything covering the floor now in the basket with an Eevee surprise. She shoves a hand into the short-shorts she had one yesterday, tongue out as she fishes for it... and she jumps for joy when she feels four quarters, her outfit bouncing with her. "Yay! We have a dollar for laundry!" Bubbles and Mr. Business hopped up as well, Serenity's sleepy paw holds up from the basket, completely dizzied by the whole affair.

Now! The time read 7:15AM!

She does one more once over, makes sure her butt is nice and perky, and proceeds to hold Bubbles on her shoulder, and head to the laundry room, before entering the dollar in quarters to the machine, throwing her clothes in, only the darks of course.

As Serenity finally is freed from her prison of madness, Genny finally scoops Serenity up to her other shoulder, and with Mr. Business, she leans back, letting him carry the trio with a single beefy arm. "Onwards, to the HQ!"
