She says with an entirely straight face, holding it for ten seconds, and then doubling over laughing at the absurdity of it all. Two terrorists probably bleeding to death in an alternate dimension, discussing their equally insane dreams.

So he wants to be the strongest huh? That's fine by her, she didn't have any plans for something like that anyways. At least not yet. "Alright Kouji, you can be the strongest! But you better make sure that the future you carve out with that strength is nice and shiny, if I see even a speck of the past hanging onto you I'll fucking gut you and make a beautiful future out of your intestines." She's definitely not kidding as she says that, even with that kindly smile on her face as she claps Kouji on the back and turns to Argon. "Anyways this is Argon, he's the eternal ghost of my past who haunts me despite my best efforts. Argon, you see anything trying to kill us in the immediate future?" The Gengar turns towards the duo and lets out a heavy sigh, shaking his head in the negative and pressing a tiny little paw to his forehead. He was obviously the reason and sanity of the pair.

A bright flash of light stops the girl from taking a life in this darkness, no, a pokemon without fear, towering above her and laughing at her feeble attempts to kill its master. It's so funny, it's so so funny that she can't help but laugh along with it as the man recognizes her and makes a joke. Everything about her looks wrong, her eyes are steeped deep in mud and light as she looks towards that blinding future that she ever so briefly saw.

"Are you kidding? Are you stupid? Are your primitive brains leaking out of your ears and dripping into this primordial goop that we call the sea?" The tone of her voice is... it's wrong in a way that can't be described with words. This isn't the girl he traded barbs with by the lake, or maybe it is and that girl had never existed in the first place. Maybe it was just a facade that she had been putting up for modern society.

"The civilization I saw in this world... ah, it was so beautiful boy. I saw the future that could be, I took a hold of it and captured it for myself. I could show you, but you're not ready to see that future, you're just too primitive, too underdeveloped." She violently wrenches her blade from the Machamp's hand as it lets go, stumbling backwards and blindly grabbing a Pokeball from her belt. A burst of light releases the Scolipede from its home as it curls defensively around its owner, letting out a violent hiss at the Machamp and Michael both as it prepares for battle.

"Right, right!?" And so it goes back and forth as the hype spiral goes out of control, absolute madmen synchronizing their insanities to create a whole new art form of delusional dreaming. "I, LOVE, making new things. We can incorporate swords into it right, like one of those mixed martial arts? Of course we can, we're the ones inventing it!" She was definitely bleeding internally right now, her face was way too pale for it to be anything but blood loss, but that was a problem for the future.

And just like that the hype dies down as both of them remember just how fucked up they are. "Ugh, tell me about it. I think that guy gave me like, hyper cancer..." Xenon moans, before abruptly gagging on a bubble of blood pooling in her throat. "I, am Xenon Civitas Antheil! Visionary of the future and soon to be leader of the new world once I've convinced everyone of the greatness our future holds! I'm always new, because if I were anything else I'd be a primitive and then I'd have to kill myself. But yeah, I just joined Rocket recently I guess. Seemed like the best place to spread my message." Nevermind the fact that her message required her to be a terrorist to spread it, it was all part of the plan.

Pain, pain dominates her being as Xenon stumbles through the caves of the Ultra Deep Sea, blood covers her from head to toe as she grips her sword tightly. It wasn't fair, it wasn't fair how much shit she had had to go through in the past 12 hours alone, but still she presses onwards towards the future she knows is just ahead. She knows its there because she had seen it now, she had held it, she had caught it! She caresses the cracked Pokeball in her other hand with her thumb, a manic chuckle escaping her lips as she grips it tight. This is her future, the future she fights for, she knows it's real now and it's simply a matter of showing everyone else that beautiful future...

She sees a man in the distance, mourning the dead, not realizing he's already dead himself. That's okay, some people just aren't aware of the state of things, Xenon is happy to show them their future as she stumbles towards Navy and thrusts her sword for his body, trying to skewer the bastard right off the bat before he could kill her. She wouldn't let him kill her, not yet, not until she could reach the future, she couldn't die until she reached that future and showed everyone.

Xenon turns to her comrade with shock, her mask slipping from her face and showcasing the very suspect bloodstains around her mouth as her jaw drops. "Three! Three of the fucking things!" She throws her hands up in the air with a wordless exclamation of annoyance.

"I need to find the guy giving these out, sounds like everyone gets a god nowadays!" She shakes her head as she puts a hand on her forehead, looking completely and utterly exhausted as she finally relaxes a little in Kouji's grip. And then he screamed right in her ears about how fucking cool it was.

And she absolutely matches his energy at the drop of a Pokedime. "I KNOW RIGHT!?!? IMAGINE LIKE, CUTTING OFF ONE OF THEIR LIMBS! IT'S LIKE LITERALLY KILLING THE PAST AND ESTABLISHING FUTURE DOMINANCE!" Xenon starts hopping in place as she can barely contain her excitement, throwing her own hands on Kouji's shoulders and gripping tightly. "I would totally punch a God. I'd be like, an inspiration to the world, everyone would be trying to one up me in the pursuit of even better God punching techniques, I would inspire a total revolution!"

Argon meanwhile shakes his head in exasperation as it finds a nearby rock to sit on and keep watch, Arceus only knows what monsters and horrors were lurking in Ultra Space looking for a dumb Xenon sized snack. Oh to be Argon, what tragedy it must be.

A distorted laugh throws a small stumble in her step as Xenon glances over John's shoulder, a strange pink pokemon bursts from his shadow and destroys Argon's Shadow Ball in a single smash of psychic power. She's seeing double, triple, a dozen mirror images in the back of her mind as she stares at the primal deity, it has to be a god, it can only be a god, SHE NEEDS TO STOP LOOKING!!!

Xenon's swing goes wide as she finally tears her gaze away from Tapu Lele and back to the soldier, barely managing to regain her footing as he backs off and produces a small pocket knife from his belt. Fair? FAIR?

"You want to talk about fair!? Is that a fucking god!?" Her calm and collected demeanor totally snaps as she cleaves down at John's skull with a helmbreaker strike, making sure to keep him out of knifing range and firmly in the reach of her own blade. Her footing is impeccable now as she continues the fight, a battle that was certainly going much better than Argon's was...

Blast after blast of ghostly energy is thrown at the god of the mind and mists, each one doing next to nothing as it continues to smash through each of the Gengar's attacks with next to nothing to show for his efforts. At this point all he can do is buy time for his partner to finish the trainer off, thus it switches tactics as it tries to Hex the Tapu Lele into submission while continuing to retreat in esoteric patterns.

A voice echoes from the mist, Xenon's hand shoots to her sword as she looks around for Argon, yet all she finds is more of this damnable mist and more rock walls. "Damn ghost, always right behind me except when I need him most..." She mutters as she continues walking forwards.

A body forms in the distance as she continues forwards, a shambling mound of something approaching her, she doesn't know whether she should cut it down or if she should reach out to grab her past- no, she would never grab a hold of something so shabby, the past was meant for killing and burying, just like that damned ghost, that damned ghost that was always behind her except when she needed him the most, where the hell was he, where the hell did he go, why did her past always sneak up on her when she least expected it-!

A rough hand grabs her shoulder and shakes her from her reverie, a fellow Rocket member, coated in blood and healed up scars, torn up clothes and looking to be on the verge of collapsing... "My my, now that's what I call modernist fashion!" Xenon cries out as Argon emerges from the mist behind her, peeking over her shoulder at Kouji with a hint of concern in its yellowed eyes. "I'm fine enough I suppose, aside from the very close encounter with what I presume to be the ancient God of Akala. Could you believe that, some freak of nature just caught a God and is bringing it out into a warzone! And they call us the terrorists!"

"If you're riding less than first class you're poor!!!" Xenon retaliates as her pokeball hits the ground, just as Argon is winding up its Shadow Ball to slam into John's head.

Yet a pair of double rainbows break from the darkness and stare into the Gengar's soul, a moment stretches into eternity as it considers whether or not to go for it. If it were anything else, it probably would have tested its speed against this one, but... that primal aura piercing its soul, the feeling of something ancient watching the Gengar. Ultimately its the one to flinch as it jumps backwards at mach speed, tossing its prepared Shadow Ball straight at the darkness that hid the primal god instead.

And on Xenon's side, the jig is up as the empty pokeball clatters onto the ground, yet the Hoenn soldier still stands before her, very not dead and very much focused on her. "Damnit Argon, you were supposed to capitalize you damn relic!" She shouts as she pulls her sword from its sheathe and dashes forwards towards John, taking the fight to him before he could properly call out a Pokemon and turn this into a more fair fight.

Well, things aren't looking too good for our devious villain Xenon. Once more she's failed her assigned mission as she flees from her guard post in Granite Cave, but this time she has a very good reason for running and saving her own skin instead of following her orders!

She got attacked by the fucking Guardian Deity of Akala Island! What the hell!?!? What kind of freak of nature is just carrying around a literal Pokemon of Legend into a warzone and using it against random Team Rocket Grunts!? That thing belongs in a laboratory being studied somewhere! How the hell was she supposed to fight that thing!?

So yeah, she ran away to save her own skin. And yeah, she dived headfirst into a portal directly into the Ultra Deep Sea. And yeah, now she was hopelessly lost in this otherworldy cavern system in an alternate dimension with absolutely no way to contact anyone else from her team. But honestly she was feeling confident about herself even so! A completely baseless confidence with absolutely no justification, but a true woman of the future follows one rule and one rule only! Fake it until you make it! So Xenon was going to keep on faking this unfounded confidence until she made it... somewhere! The battered girl marches forwards with no hesitation as Argon zips from shadow to shadow, constantly scouting out the path ahead and looking for other Rocket Members so they could find a base camp to heal up... or something.

There we go, that's the reaction she was looking for! Well the shock and awe part at least. "The only class that vinyl belongs in, is business class with the rest of the peasants and primitives. Laser discs are the way of the future fool!" She had absolutely no idea why he was talking about vinyl right now, but he was still wrong and primitive!

Anyways this is probably the part where she should kill him.

"That's right primitive, I'm the one who threw that rock at your head, and now it's time for me to finish the job like a proper modern woman!" Xenon shouts as she throws Argon's empty pokeball in the soldier's general direction. This was of course nothing more than a clever misdirection on her part as she clicks her heel on the ground twice, signalling the Gengar to silently rise up from behind with a distorted Shadow Ball in hand ready to strike!

A human voice screaming from the darkness wasn't all that much of a problem for Xenon, she had been yelling into this empty cavern for long enough that she had grown used to the sound of her own voice echoing back at her from the shadows.

But a man's voice screaming and cursing from the darkness? That was a significantly larger problem for her.

But Xenon is nothing if not a professional grunt of Rocket as she pushes off the wall and thrusts one hand to her sword's hilt by her waist side, her body tense and ready to fight whoever was stupid enough to be walking around an active warzone, or rather a very inactive warzone considering the state of things in this particular area.

But the stranger that emerged was... surprisingly polite? He had donned the insignia's and badges of the Hoenn military, so he was obviously here as an enemy combatant... maybe he was just dumb and didn't realize she was dressed in the uniform and mask of a Rocket grunt? Or perhaps he was so arrogant that he didn't even see her as a threat? A low growl builds in her throat as she considers that option, but a gentle purple hand emerging from the wall behind taps her on the shoulder. She turns and looks at Argon's face peeking from the wall, the Gengar making very exaggerated motions at the ground and the general area around her.

Oh, duh. She's still in the dark. Xenon clears her throat and steps out from the shadows to face the man directly, holding herself with composure and grace as she keeps one hand firmly on her sword's hilt and another on Argon's empty pokeball. "I'm afraid the only one going home tonight will be you primitive. Surrender your Pokemon and turn around, this entrance to the Ultra Wild is not open for your kind. Or something." The whole script was kind of a pain in the ass to memorize, but she felt like she got the point across well enough. It's too bad she had to wear the mask, her face definitely would have sealed the deal scaring this cretin away. She felt very menacing right now.

Ah, the noble guard. The defender of progress, the guardian of modern ideals, the... the... Xenon groans as slumps against the wall of the cave and stares at the ceiling, this position was so damn boring!!! You lose one piece of intel and you get assigned to the backend of nowhere doing absolutely nothing, guarding an absolutely worthless entrance to the Ultra Wilds! She could be doing so much more right now if those stupid primitive higher ups would just entrust her with a little bit more, give her a little more room to breathe and evolve, but no! She's stuck in this stupid cave guarding this stupid portal that absolutely nobody was going to find!

"You feel my pain right Argon? We're serious badasses, we could be doing some real damage in there! Why the hell should we be sticking around this hole in the wall nothing of a guard post?" She turns to a blank wall to complain loudly, her only response a single eye peeking from the stone and staring at her blankly before once more submerging into the cavern wall. "Nobody understands my potential. I'm a woman of the future, you're all just struggling to look at me from behind." Xenon pouts as she kicks a rock into the darkness.
