THE REGIROCK EMITS A SERIES OF CRIES like a dusty xylophone's keys crashing through a Plinko board.[break][break]

A GIGA DRAIN from Elisabeth Fiorelli's WO-CHIEN weakens the restrained Rock Giant enough to force one of its limbs away from the star. At its tip, a beam begins to form, but it is to no avail. The HYPER BEAM is stolen by PENELOPE LIVY and immediately returned to sender.[break][break]

The whole cave quakes as the REGIROCK stumbles back. Its other limb remains glued to the WISHING STAR in TING-LU's BOWL, but jayden cross's BLACK ICE is enough to finally tear the Titan away.[break][break]

A portion of its "hands" crumble away. Though they were entirely made out of stone, they seem to "rot" from the contact made with the WISHING STAR: a consequence of fear's corruption. That same fear now courses through the REGIROCK's ancient layers and reprograms its route.[break][break]

It stomps away in ⠋⠑⠁⠗.[break][break]

Eventually, it will make its way to PETALBURG...

The TING-LU bellows and settles its old belly onto the floor. Its bowl looks like a cauldron... and so, it will act as one too...[break][break]

The earth beneath the three has been disturbed from their sudden fight. Small streaks of indigo can be seen and the occasional flash of light.

NECROZMA EMERGES TO JOIN THE FOUR in the bouldery expanse of this world. The sky is a deep polluted purple, dense with some fog or smoke or dusty curtain of low hanging clouds. Occasionally, a shaft of light filters through, rendered a sour orange against the mauve firmament.

Dirt clouds are kicked up by dry winds. They scrape against the looming stone walls and monoliths. As the party beholds this direful land, Necrozma stretches its limbs and emits a tortured cry. The Prismatic Beast fires a laser toward the sky: a beacon for the roaming Tapu here...

But it does not come. As suspected, this task will not be easy.

Ahead, they see shifting figures in the dirt storms, limping. Crawling. Groveling.

Even inside, the Councilwoman would be able to feel the revelatory thrum of war. Residual brine soured by blood and storm careens past her ankles before crawling back timidly toward the Kyogre's guts.

However, in this humid darkness, she will catch the blue light of the stalactite. It calls to her too, as it once did for skyler dross. Like the RED ORB that calls for MATIAS SILPH. Like the secret other in another man's hand.

Somewhere in the whale, the stalactite of endless azure cries. Embedded against the whale's flesh as if this were its original cave, the primal javelin drips. The light of it captures freya morningstar's eye as it glimmers like the Tera Crystals infecting the land. But there is no imagination required for it to work. No ambition or self-destructive desire. Just nature and the natural order of all things.

Every time the Kyogre attacks or weathers injury, the stalactite glows. Thrums. Calls again.

LIKE THE WEYWARD SISTERS, the three Ruinous Avatars observe the fractalized future, secluded from society. Separate from civilization and its aimless, cumbrous calendar. The TING-LU's blood red eyes glow in this dim cavern and bore holes into each trainer's faces.[break][break]

The cave quakes once more. Loudly. Synthesized through obdurate stone, an inhuman drumming of sounds announces its arrival:

A ROCKY FIST tears into their chamber. The petrous punch is followed by a large, unwieldy body of sheer stones: a gathered collection embodied over the ages.[break][break]

The TING-LU raises its head to face their intruder. The Giant that tears into their sacred domain. With no hesitation, the REGIROCK grabs the TING-LU's BOWL, clumsy lithoid limbs seeking the WISHING STAR in its center. The REGIROCK's "hands" slide into the bowl's center and clamp onto the star—[break][break]

And this is when the three can act.[break][break]

The Ruinous Quartet faces against one of the Royals: two clans aspiring to salvage a realm reborn.

GUIDING PROMPT

ATTEMPT TO DISLODGE THE REGIROCK FROM TING-LU. Attacking the REGIROCK with conventional attacks from their patrons will be fruitful. However, Elisabeth Fiorelli, jayden cross and PENELOPE LIVY will discover that they have learned a new AVATAR ABILITY due to their ritual with TING-LU. These new abilities can be used to assist with their unwanted guest.[break][break]

the necrozma's monstrous form looms before them, suspended in the air as the darkest tabernacle. the metals in its arms, brutal as they are beautiful, shine with every agonizing tremulation.

by psychic power, it communicates answers:

what creature does not want to create? to be able to forge a being in one's own image, to see it grow and breathe and to carry on one's own memory. one's own legacy no matter how gnarled and twisted it may be.

next, the created tapus were an attempt to monitor the worlds of ultra space: guardians surveying the great expanse for energy, for light. some deep-seated delusion may suggest a futile attempt to reforge some redemption for necrozma— but maddened eyes would only perceive these tapus as reminders of ultra megalopolis' destruction. of a civilization entirely lost to darkness. necrozma is a monster, after all. how could one forgive it—and how could necrozma forgive the megalopolans?

but another purpose reveals itself in the mindscape. should necrozma fail in its goals of returning to full power, the tapus will carry its will.

of other tapus like fern delaney's, the necrozma answers by action.

violently, like canines tearing into bloody meat, it claws open rifts to various worlds and grants them a view of each.

one is a WATER WORLD, filled with coursing waterfalls and caves.

another is a ROCKY WORLD. dirt paths are bordered by staggering rock formations and plant-life. dirt clouds billow through.

the last is the ULTRA CRATER, a world the two may already be familiar with.

the rifts close, but the necrozma seems to suggest that it can grant them passage whenever the two would like. whenever the two and whomever they invite are ready.
