The dragon tamer wasn't sure how long Alexei's crobat would be able to continue battling. However, the same went for Xena. It had been a while since he used her in a battle, but according to the look on Xena's face, she seemed to be enjoying herself, despite taking a few hits. If it weren't for her SAFEGUARD, things would have been much different. In fact, she more than likely would have been poisoned by now.

The crobat came forth with another attack, using VENESHOCK. Despite it being yet another poison-based attack, Alec knew that Xena wouldn't take all that much damage. The reason was because VENESHOCK is more powerful when used on a pokemon that is already poisoned, but since Xena, was safe from being poisoned, she took the attack, and then with her unwavering SERENE GRACE, she attacked the crobat using ANCIENT POWER, forming a sphere of prehistoric energy, then firing it at the crobat.

Alec was a little disappointed that the crobat wasn't paralyzed, but at the end of the day, he knew not everything would go the way he would like it to. Once Alexei's crobat regained itself, it started to gun after Xena with a WING ATTACK. "EXTREMESPEED, now!" Alec said confidently, already knowing what to do. Xena rushed forward at supersonic speed, being exponentially faster than the crobat in this one instance, having the two slam into one another.

Due to Xena's sudden increase in velocity, the impact from the crobat's WING ATTACK would hurt, but Xena's impact from her EXTREMESPEED on the opposing crobat would be much more painful. Alec wasn't sure what else the crobat had up its sleeve, however, for the most part, Xena was able to counter it so far. As long as they could keep doing that, then this battle was as good as theirs.

Alec sighed softly, hearing Aaron's comment. "Sheesh, this kid has quite the mouth on him ... However, he does have a point," Alec thought to himself. After all, it wasn't just Alec that did something. All he did was take advantage of the situation that happened before him. In fact, if it weren't for Aaron, as well as Elise and Alta, also fending them off, then chances are the swarm wouldn't have done what they did; managing to pick them off one by one without having to try and attack them all at once. "I appreciate it Elise, but it wasn't just me that did something," He pointed out with a smile, agreeing with Aaron, albeit much more politely than Aaron worded his own opinion.

"If it wasn't for all of us working together then chances are, we would have died," Alec stated matter-of-factly. As he said this he walked toward Aaron, and as soon as he stepped in front of him, he gently patted the kid's head, ruffling it gently. "You're Banette was not only helpful in battle either. It also helped light our way through this place," Alec had said, acknowledging Aaron. Something told Alec that the kid seemed a bit ruffled in a bad way when he found the boy's earlier statement about him amusing. So, as a way to make amends for that, Alec felt that the boy deserved recognition.

Alec didn't say anything, deciding that he should help Alta.

"Nah, don't beat yourself up about it!" Alec said to Josh. Anyone probably would have made that kind of mistake. When Josh offered him to ride alongside with him as well as noticing Etain for his master to join in on the fun, Alec held his smile and said, "Sure! What pokemon ya got?" Alec had asked him. Sure, Alec could have just used one of his dragons, but it wouldn't be fair, seeing that most of them were able to fly. As for his other pokemon, there'd be no way for them to keep up, and Alec knew that it wouldn't be as enjoyable if he were the nominated slowpoke.

It seemed like the choice he made earlier was the popular vote, seeing that the panther-like pokemon was attacking hoenn league's HQ. Alec figured that the first choice wouldn't really do much of anything. In fact, if this were happening at this very moment in real life, ... then chances were that both of them would die from the avalanche. The third choice was ... tempting believe it or not. He didn't know hardly anything about the Commissioner, but in the end, he knew that he wouldn't actually go through with something like that. He decides to click on the second option. If this were a real-case scenario, chances are this would be something that Alec would do, despite the fact that dying would suck ass.

"Thanks. Although, I'm surprised. Normally the wild dragon pokemon would be out, but I haven't seen one at all yet ..." Alec had said. It made him wonder why that was. Sure, he wasn't complaining about catching the Kirlia, but it was strange how there wasn't a dragon-type pokemon anywhere in sight. Maybe it was because of the psychic types? Or maybe it was perhaps just a bit of bad luck. However, after a few minutes of him and josh continuing toward the summit, Alec spotted a Vibrava. Alec was tempted, noticing right away that it was a male too, but then a Dottler appeared as well.

Alec contemplated on whether to catch the male vibrava or the dottler. It'd be nice for the vibrava, given that he has a female flygon, but he also knew that finding a dottler was somewhat rare, even around these parts of the region. Normally, they didn't like to be out in the open like that. After thinking it through, Alec had finally made his decision, believing that catching the vibrava would be the better choice. He had Veta fire another Ice Beam at the Vibrava, encasing it ice, or at least a good portion of it's body so that it would try to escape. Alec then threw a pokeball at the part of the Vibrava that wasn't encased by the ice, allowing for the pokeball to work. Veta then used Extremespeed, quickly making there way towards the captured vibrava, allowing Alec to pick up the pokeball. Once he had caught up with Josh, smirked and said, "About time we saw a dragon, eh?"

Alec knew that Josh wasn't going to sit idly by and let his pokemon be ganged up on. However, after the collision of their Dragonites' attacking at super-high speed, Josh's Dragonite landed on the ground; its tail going into the ground. This in turn had secured Alec's victory, prompting Bruce to waste no time in gunning straight for Josh's Dragonite, and after that, the battle was over and Alec was announced the winner, prompting him to return his two dragons back to their pokeballs. The platforms descended back down to the ground simultaneously and as they did, Alec could see Josh wasn't happy with the outcome of the battle. Honestly, Alec didn't know how to respond to him as he gave him his badge, not sure whether his choice of words would trigger him more or not. Once the ceremony was over though, and the two of them made their way back to the lobby area, Alec was surprised that Josh considered him to be Champion-material.

"While I appreciate you saying that, I doubt that I've gotten to that point," Alec said not being modest, but rather speaking truthfully. "I may be good at battling, but ... there are other things that I lack before that happens." Alec said. "By the way, I wanna talk to you about something. Do you have the free time for us to chat?" Alec had asked. He'd understand if Josh didn't want to, but ... Alec couldn't just leave Josh alone while he seemed down. He felt that he needed to do this - not as a former gym leader, but simply as a friend.

Alec figured that Josh would calm down as the battle continued, however, that seemed to be wishful thinking. Is this guy ok? Alec thought to himself. Either this guy hated losing, or perhaps it was something else that made him seem bitter as the battle continued. Bruce's SAND TOMB made the opposing Dragonite immobilized, but for a brief moment. Alec smirked, impressed that he thought of a way to counter, however, just as it was about to counter with a TWISTER, Bruce burrowed underground once more, missing the counter by a hair.

As for Veta, the twister didn't seem to do all that much damage to her. It was more than likely not only because of her MULTISCALES, but also because it was terastalized, having turned into a normal type. Once the Twister cleared, Veta once again attacked Josh's Dragonite with a terastal-powered EXTREMESPEED, its movement becoming untraceable once again. The collision was too fast for Josh's Dragonite to dodge let alone counter. Despite this, its steel typing made the impact less damaging than normal, but just as the opposing dragonite was hit by Veta's Attack, Bruce came out of the ground, lunging at Josh's Dragonite.

Alec literally screamed in anger, waking up some of his pokemon, scaring them all, forgetting that some of them were sleeping while he was playing this Otome game. "Why did this guy pull me into a hug?" he thought to himself, not only angry but disgusted. He chose to headbutt him, feeling like he deserved a good hit to the face. If only he could do it for real ...

Alec read the next piece of dialogue, finding it rather interesting. It turned out that there was another unidentified pokemon battling the legendary pokemon. Was it also a Legendary Pokemon? The dragon tamer honestly couldn't tell in terms of the choices, mainly because he had never seen them before. Alec had decided to select the the fourth option. As Alec submitted his choice, he wondered if the pokemon from the selections were connected to one another in some way. They looked ancient, as well as powerful. Part of him also wondered if they were even real. If they were, then it'd be quite a sight to see in person.

Alec and Etain looked at one another, with the thought of Alec riding the little guy seeming to make the galarian ponyta frightened. "If Etain were evolved, then I could see riding him, but right now, I'd probably just end up hurting him." Alec interjected politely. "But that doesn't mean that he still can't race. Especially with all of the pent-up energy he has," Alec smirked, which quickly relieved the galarian ponyta. "I'll just sit and watch, yeah?" Alec had asked rhetorically, given the circumstances.

The thing was, he doubted that Etain would be able to outspeed any of Josh's pokemon, but at least it'd be more fun for Etain to play with someone.

"This guy sure does love racing," Alec thought to himself. Sure, the dragon tamer liked doing stuff like that from time to time, but it wasn't something that he would do frequently. He just did whatever he felt like doing. It was good tho that Josh liked doing that sort of thing. If it weren't for his current situation, Alec would probably be more open to setting foot in other cities around the region. But Team Rocket made that somewhat difficult. Alec's face grew slightly tense for a brief moment, thinking about what they did to him. He wanted to make them pay. However, right now wasn't the time to make a move. Honestly, the dragon tamer didn't know when the time would be right to make his move. At least it gave him time to somewhat prepare for when that day came.

"Well, if you wanna head up the mountain, we can go ahead and get started," Alec had said, starting to lead the way, hopping on Veta's back and taking off, hoping Josh would follow. As they headed up the mountain, Alec prompted Veta to slow down when he saw a wild Kirlia. He couldn't pass up the opportunity to catch one, and since it was there, it was just begging to be caught. Veta fired a fully-powered ICE BEAM at it, quickly freezing it in place. Alec then tossed a Pokeball at it, and once it clicked, he retrieved the still pokeball with his prize inside. Once he placed the ball in his bag, he made his way up the top of the mountain again.
