Alec was annoyed at how the game made the dialogue for you in terms of questioning the man angrily. Alec's actual choice of words would be much vulgar than that. However, it did get a few points right. He sure as hell didn't know this man, nor did want to take the time to get to know him. However, despite this, Alec was wondering who this man was, and not in a good sort of way. Was this guy a part of Rocket?

That next answer however was answered when the guy mentioned a 'Triad'. Alec scratched his head, trying to make sense of what an Avatar was. Did that have something to do with being chosen for something? Whatever the case was, the guy perceived him, as well as anyone else participating in this, which only made it slightly creepier.

Alec continued to read the next piece of dialogue, raising his eyebrow once more at the mention of a Regidrago. Is that a legendary pokemon? Truth be told, Alec was somewhat lost ever since the apparent change of scenery happened. Alec clicked his new choice, choosing to have the UNKNOWN-D to teleport him out of there. He wasn't about to go head-to-head with a Legendary pokemon, let alone a crazy-ass loon giving it commands. Plus, as he said before, it was just a game. It wasn't like anything bad was going to happen to him ... Right?

To say the very least, Alec was slightly intrigued with where this subject was going, and when the two legendary pokemon were shown, Alec thought to himself, trying to remember if he had seen these pokemon ever before. Sadly, nothing came to mind. From what the text was saying, as well as how it was said, suggested that they weren't causing mayhem around the region. With that being said, the dragon tamer didn't really see the point in capturing them, despite them being considerably useful to the League. What's more is that if these two were truly legendary pokemon, then wouldn't it be naturally difficult to catch them, regardless?

Alec sighed, wasting no time in choosing his answer. Leave them be was chosen, prompting Alec to wait again for the new set of dialogue to appear.

Alec held his smirk, despite the fact that Alexei's Crobat was about to attack. Xena also seemed calm, it's SERENE GRACE unwavering as the tips on her head started to glow. The blue and red tips of Xena's head glowed the same, while the middle glowed a bright yellow, managing to fire off a TRI ATTACK from the three glowing tips on its head right above just as the Crobat's CROSS POISON was about to connect.

The collision of the two attacks connected, causing a small explosion between the two of them. The impact of the two attacks colliding with one another being so close made it hard for Alec and Alexei to see it, but the Tri Attack's yellow beam was the one that let loose first, which caused the small explosion, followed electricity crackling around the surface of the small dust cloud that formed from the impact. Chances were that Xena's attack caused the Crobat to be paralyzed.

Sure, Xena had taken a hit from a super-effective attack, but with the two being so close to one another up on the impact of their two attacks meant that the Crobat also suffered damage, as well as paralysis. "Nice, Xena. You're Serene Grace will come in handy in this battle," Alec thought to himself while holding a smirk. The dragon tamer admitted that he was worried that she wouldn't be able to handle a Gym battle, but It turns out that he was wrong to quickly judge her. He had always put faith in his pokemon when it came to battles, even if he did have doubts; trusting in his gut feelings. He was glad that he had chosen her.

Xena slipped out of the dust cloud, quickly floating seeming backward from the impact. It was clear she was injured, but so was the Crobat. "Keep doing that in this battle, Xena and you'll be fine," Alec thought to himself.

Alec smirked at Josh's statement as he brought out his own Dragonite and Garchomp. Before Josh started to explain the rules to him, his Dragonite seemed extremely eager to get things going, while he waited patiently. "My pokemon could probably use that to their advantage. Especially Veta," Alec thought, keeping it to himself. As for it being a close battle, Josh was right on that. However, there was this new trick Alec had picked up fairly recently, and since he was using Veta for his Gym Challenge, this was ample opportunity to give it a shot.

"Then that just means there will be no room for errors," Alec simply said, which Bruce and Veta seemed to agree with their master on. When the King of speed told the dragon tamer to come at him, Alec's smirk turned into a grin, saying "With pleasure," obliging to Josh's request. Bruce let out a snarl, gunning right for Josh's Garchomp going in with a DRAGON RUSH, meanwhile Veta gathered energy that made the area around them feel cold for only a moment, until releasing that energy into an ICE BEAM, firing it at Josh's Dragonite.

It had only been fairly recently that Alec had met Josh Devlin - the new Gym Leader of Mauville City. Alec honestly thought that Cait would have continued being a Gym Leader, but it seemed like she felt the need to retire. She was a strong battler, hardly having any difficulty. Alec remembered when he had faced her and lost. Despite her not actually teaching the dragon tamer anything, he had learned a lot just from that battle alone. It was the first time that he learned he was impatient, arrogant; extremely stubborn too.

Alec had hoped to face her again one day, to show her just exactly how much he had changed between now and then. But, despite knowing now that Cait wasn’t Mauville’s Gym Leader no longer, he walked towards the outdoor arena after checking himself in. His smile did not hold the same arrogance that he had when facing Cait. If she were here, seeing Alec now, it would be plain to her that the expression on the dragon tamer’s face was relaxed, filled with a calmness - a sense of confidence that somehow managed to hide there.

“I’ll win this time,” The thought came to him as he stopped right in front of Josh. “You weren’t kidding when ya said you loved racing,” Alec said to Josh, his smile transforming into a smirk, holding the same hidden calmness with the confidence underneath. Josh was probably unaware of Alec’s past as Pacifidlog Town’s Gym Leader. Part of Alec wanted to tell Josh - feeling that he could trust him. Sooner or later, the dragon tamer would no longer be able to keep that from others. He came to terms with that shortly after his expedition into the rift with Altagracia Contreras and the others. For now, though, he’d continue playing the part of a young hermit who was simply ‘talented’ when it came to pokemon battles.

Alec blushed, looking at the next pieces of Dialogue. Please tell me it's not actually having me choose what she should wear for the meeting, he thought to himself. And to think that he was going to be a 'good' former Gym Leader. He shifts in his seat once more, looking over the choices. He had heard about those 'Sgyna Suits' which he thought were pretty cool. They were considered to be advantageous in battles apparently, granted he didn't have one. It made him wonder how he could end up getting one. He decides to have the Commissioner flaunt her own power (as well as good looks), choosing the Vespiquen Sygna Suit. The real question was though ... Did the real Dahlia own a Vespiquen Sygna Suit?

Alec was getting more and more frustrated with this man by the second. First, he asked him to choose between heads or tails. Next, he drops the coin into the sewer grate, forcing him to get on his virtual knees and get the coin that HE dropped. And now, he supposedly sends them to some dimension he calls 491. Alec was curious though if this man could actually do such a thing anyway? But regardless, he wanted to strike him physically, however, it wasn't the best option. Instead, he decided to Question him angrily, being the next best thing.

As Alec and clamps moved on, they quickly spotted another pokemon - one that the dragon tamer had never seen before. It looked like a cat, colored bright green. When it noticed Alec and his Scizor, it walked over to them, letting out a cute little 'meow.' Alec smirked, bending down on his knees, extending a hand out to let the pokemon sniff it, showing the cat that he wasn't going to harm it (unlike the other pokemon he captured). The main reason for that was that it didn't straight up try to attack them, which was a plus. "You wanna come home with me?" Alec asked the green cat, pulling out a Pokeball, when the cat meowed happily once more, Alec took that as it saying 'yes', pressing the Pokeball against his head, capturing it. When the Pokeball in his hand clicked, he placed it in his bag and said to Clamps, "Well, that's all of the Safari Balls, time to head home."

Alec listened to Aaron's choice of words waiting for him to finish speaking. Truth was, he wasn't offended by the boy's choice of words towards him. In fact, he found the kid's choice of words amusing. Considering him 'weak-willed'? As if. What's more is that he stated that the Rockets he faced were mostly chumps, even going so far as to say that the only challenge he had was facing Xerneas. If that was the case, then the kid didn't survive because of his skill as a trainer. He survived because of two things: The first being that Rocket allowed it, more than likely not considering him to be a threat, let alone an obstacle, and the second being pure sheer dumb luck. It was clear to Alec that this kid knew how important a Gym Leader actually was though, so he had to at least give the kid some line of credit in that regard. However ... This kid knew nothing - nothing of what Rocket was truly capable of, and part of Alec hoped that he would never experience that ever. But if he chose to become a Gym Leader, then facing that would become inevitable. Either way, the kid would learn one way or another. It wasn't Alec's job to teach him these sorts of things. He just figured that a bit of advice would be beneficial for him. However, it seemed the kid didn't want his advice, belittling him by making statements of pure assumption, having no facts to back his words up.

Before Alec could say anything, they were interrupted by a rumbling in the distance. The swarm of Sharpedo and Veluza that were after them were eating through the layers of vines that Nat had made earlier - something that Alec had a feeling would happen. Alec and the others prepared for battle against the swarm of fish that seemed hell-bent on killing them. Through the middle of the fighting though, the hoard backed off deciding to gather all together, attacking them all at once. Alec smirked, returning his Sceptile back to his Pokeball, then took the last Pokeball from his belt, bringing out his most powerful pokemon - a Charizard with black skin, except for its belly. Then, just as soon as Inferno let out a roar, Alec activated his mega glove - energy gushing out of its center violently. The violent energy that poured out of the keystone from Alec's glove showered around the Charizard, transforming it. Its black skin was quickly changing from a black to a greenish color; its wings took a jagged shape, colored crimson.

"Burn them all away," Alec said in a frighteningly calm tone.

Inferno once again roared, opening its maw, gathering fire in its mouth, only to let explode outward into a violent BLAST BURN, firing it directly at the swarm of Sharpedo and Veluza that was gunning right for them, incinerating each and every one of them. The intensity of the teal-colored blaze reduced the Sharpedo and Veluza's skin reducing to ash, as well as their bones. With them trying an all-or-nothing assault, they left themselves wide open for a direct attack that would silence them all at once, being Advantageous in Inferno's favor. Plus, with him, mega-evolving, the overwhelming power of his attack was considered advantageous enough as is. As the teal flames faded; the ashes of the entire swarm falling down around them like snow, Inferno's mega evolution dissipated, prompting him to return his Charizard back to its Pokeball. "Well, that takes care of the swarm," Alec said nonchalantly, placing the Pokeball in his hand back on his belt.

One more Safari Ball left, and the sun was starting to go down bit by bit. As the dragon tamer continued to go further into the Safari area, he spotted a pink-furred Minccino. Clamps at first were about to pounce, however, Alec raised his arm, shaking his head before his scizor could attack. Once clamps eased up, they continued walking down the path, looking for something else to catch.

The sun was beginning to set, which meant that Alec had a short bit of time left before he had to call it a day and head back to the cabin. However, luckily for him though, he only had two safari balls left, and what's more, was that a particular pokemon once again appeared. A Roselia with a purple back rose where its hands were. clamps waited to strike at the Roselia, and when Alec gave the nod, clamps, dashed at the shiny Roselia with a QUICK ATTACK, only needing one hit to greatly weaken it. Alec tossed a Safari ball at the Roselia; walking slowly towards the ball as it clicked.

As Alec made his way to the clearing with the others, Alec also realized that a good portion of his shirt had been ripped, revealing the nasty scar on his shoulder. He was also bleeding just a little. How in the hell did that happen? He thought to himself. "Shit," Alec said loudly, having no choice but to face away, taking off the top of his shihakusho, taking yet another top out of his duffel bag along with some medical tape. Since the front of the top didn't fully cover the chest, he was able to work on tending to his reopened scar. He didn't like the thought of showing others his scar, mainly because of how people tended to react to it, but also because they'd ask how he got it.

He debated as to whether or not to talk to the others about it, since they would more than likely ask about it. He mentally sighed, deciding to come clean. "I'm sure you're wondering how got this nasty-looking scar on my shoulder," Alec had said to the others, more than likely already noticing what Alec was doing. "You could thank Team Rocket for this beauty mark," he joked, wincing as he applied the medical tape, gently yet firmly placing it over top with a piece of gauze.

"I should also tell you guys that, I didn't necessarily come on this expedition for the noblest of causes. In fact, I actually was hoping to find something that could help me fight against Rocket ..." Alec paused, having a serious expression on his face. "Sure, I respect the League, but I'm not here because someone asked me to. I came here for my own personal reasons." Alec said, standing back up on his own two feet after he patched himself back up. "The younger me - the person who used to be a Gym Leader, would have been here on orders ... but that young man died over a year ago ..." That's when Alec specifically looked over at Aaron, deciding to take the moment give him his own attention.

"Aaron, you said you were thinking about becoming a Gym Leader, right? Well, that's nice and you should go for it. However, I'm not gonna sit here and sugarcoat things for you in terms of what the job asks for. It's not just about giving people your Gym Badge. You'll have some hard choices that you will have to make - choices that may cause a conflict in you internally. You can't necessarily prepare yourself for them, but regardless, you will have to make a choice in the heat of the moment, and not what's simply best for you, but for Hoenn as a whole." Alec had said, finishing his piece while letting Aaron think for himself as to whether becoming a Gym Leader was still something he himself wanted to be.
