Alec had been offered to have his talk with Josh Devlin later in the day, which was probably for the best. It would not only give Josh time to 'cool down' so to speak, but it would also give Alec the time to think about what he needed to actually say to the Gym Leader. Alec admitted that he wasn't very good at this sort of thing, but regardless, it was something that should be addressed. Lashing out the way he did at a Gym Challenger was something that he should never do.

It made Alec think of the time when he was utterly helpless against kyle lopez's team when he challenged him for his own gym badge long ago. Although, Alec didn't lash out, but he was somewhat angry at the fact that he was powerless to do anything in that battle. Alec believed that Josh was feeling the same way, given how their battle went. After Alec checked in at the desk, he was allowed to make his way to where Josh was, seeing that he was setting up a saddle on a rather peculiar pokemon - definitely one that Alec had not seen before. "Yo," Alec called out to Josh giving him a wave.

"Figured that you'd probably be expecting me right about now," Alec had said. Alec gave Josh the time he needed in order to finish what he was doing. Then after Josh was done; giving Alec his full attention, the dragon tamer spoke once more. "So, ... about what happened in our battle," Alec said, starting to refer to Josh's reaction at the time.

It was clear that the pressure of the battle was running high, however, Alec remained calm in the middle of the hail storm that surrounded them. "Match that Metal Claw with Dynamic Punch!" Alec called out to Inferno, prompting to it to attack. The Tinkaton's claw and Inferno's fist clashed together, knocking both of them backward.

Meanwhile, Elio's unseeable attack from his Noctowl connected, striking Brix. However, upon taking the hit, Brix's fist glowed. Then with a defiant roar, Brix launched a METAL BURST attack at the Noctowl. Alec once again formed a smirk where his lips were, proud that his pokemon were managing to hold their own in this battle.

The dragon tamer watched on as his pokemon's attacks connected, however, Elio's Noctowl cast REFLECT on its ally, protecting the Tinkaton from the full force of Charizard's attack. Inferno, Protect!" Alec called out before the tinkaton's hammer was brought down on it, casting a barrier that protected itself from the incoming impact, or well, at least the full force of it.

While that happened, Aggron, switched its target from the Tinkton to the Noctowl, bringing down an IRON TAIL on it, smacking it away. It was clear that Elio and his pokemon meant business, but so did Alec's, and they weren't gonna go down without a fight.

Alec continued to hold his smirk once Elio spoke to him. From the looks of it, it didn't seem like Elio's pokemon were gonna make a move, So Alec figured that his pokemon will. "Inferno, Dynamic Punch. Brix, Iron Tail," Alec said to his Charizard and aggron, making them begin the battle. Inferno flew forward swiftly toward Elio's Noctowl, throwing its fist in the Noctowl's, making it go backward. As that was happening, Brix lunged forward as its tail began to glow; proceeding to side-swipe the Tinkaton with it.

The hail that was falling, along with electricity cackling at their feet wasn't helpful to his Charizard and Aggron, however, Alec believed that Elio's pokemon would gain any benefits from it either. It'd just be a matter of who's pokemon could hit harder while trying to withstand the hail. Alec's Charizard and Aggron, or Elio's Tinkaton and Noctowl.

It had been the first time that Alec had set foot in Ever Grande City. Alec considered it to be more than likely the second-biggest city in the region, with Slateport still coming out on top. However, despite him enjoying the sights (albeit somewhat), he was here mainly for one thing, and that was to challenge the Gym Leader to a battle. The Gym Challenge he had with Josh proved that he was more than capable of handling another Gym Challenge.

The dragon tamer made his way to the furthest outskirts of the city, with Kaminari the Pikachu already sitting on his shoulder as he walked. He had already requested a private match before making his way to the city, deciding that it was probably for the best. Since Ever Grande was home to the League Headquarters, and with Alec being considered dead and all, making himself known publically would have not just grabbed the League's attention, but also Team Rockets ... He couldn't afford to be made all because he wanted to challenge a Gym. The only two people associated with the League that knew he was alive were Alexei Ivanov and Josh Devlin - two respective Gym Leaders. Josh didn't suspect anything about him at first, but from what Alec knew of the guy, he believed that Josh could keep a secret. As for Alexei, Alec had the same feeling. There were also few others that knew about him and who he was, but Alec doubted that they'd tell others.

A part of Alec wanted to march his way over to the League Headquarters, but he knew that he wouldn't get very far. "If Team Rocket ever makes a move though, the higher-ups will know I'm alive soon enough," Alec thought to himself. Upon reaching the 'Gym' Alec looked around, not expecting the place to look like a theme park. With the only gigantic circus tent in sight, Alec figured that his battle with the Gym Leader would be inside. "Well, looks like we're here, Kaminari. You ready?" Alec asked, and with a determined squeak, Kaminari seemed to be just as ready as Alec was.

The moment Alec headed inside the tent, music started to play. The music that played made Alec cringe, while Kaminari the Pikachu seemed to like it instantly, dancing to it while still propped on Alec's shoulder. There was someone in the center, dancing to the god-awful music that continued invading the dragon tamer's ears.

Alec wanted to interrupt, but just as he was about to, Kaminari hopped off Alec's shoulder, unable to contain himself, deciding to dance with the lady to the song, making Alec groan mentally. "Great ... Okay, Kaminari ... you can have some fun," Alec thought reluctantly, feeling defeated.

After watching Kaminari and the woman dance, who didn't seem to notice Alec or his Pikachu dancing with her (surprisingly), which lasted a good five and half minutes, the dragon tamer awkwardly cleared his throat somewhat obnoxiously and said to the woman, "Excuse me, I'm here for my private gym challenge."

Alec wasn't sure if coming to Genny's boyfriend's birthday party was such a good idea. For one, Alec and him had never met before. Alec had only met Genny. The Dragon Tamer mulled over though, and since Genny felt like inviting him, he figured it'd be the nice thing to do. Alec brought his Kirlia that he had caught and said, "Alright Ellie, Teleport us to Lilycove," Alec said, within a blink of an eye, they warped from being in the center of Alec's small living room to being in front of Lilycove's pokemon center. Alec had made sure to contact Genevieve Cromwell beforehand so that way he had the address.

After walking for a while, finding the right street, Alec was surprised when he saw Josh Devlin . "So, I see you got the invite too," Alec said, walking up from behind Josh, his Kirlia standing next to him, silent and calm. Alec did notice there were other names in the message, however, he admitted that he didn't pay attention to them all that much. Basically, he only read the gist of what the message was about.

When Josh pulled out his Arcanine, Alec looked at the one with a peculiar fur coating, having never seen an Arcanine like that one before. "I've never seen an Arcanine like that one before," Alec had said. In fact, he thought that it looked pretty cool. Even Etain seemed to be amazed by its different appearance. Would it be okay to ride him?" Alec asked Josh, obviously having decided on which Arcanine he'd choose. Despite the fact that it knew Extremespeed, Alec knew that Etain would still have fun running with them ... even though catching up might be close to impossible.

With that, Alec figured that using Extremespeed might be a bit too much ... but the thought of going that fast on an Arcanine was rather enticing. Alec waited for the giant dog to crouch down, allowing him to mount the Hisuian Arcanine. "Not gonna lie I haven't, but as long as Etain's okay with it, I don't see why I shouldn't give it a try," Alec said to Josh with a determined smirk. Shortly after making that comment, Etain seemed rather determined herself, making herself to ready to dash off when given the signal. "I'll let you do the count off this time," Alec said, also getting ready.

"Thanks! Tiamat's pretty impressive too," Alec had said as they flew, noticing its use of Extremespeed. Without any further delay, they finally made it up to the mountain's peak, still up in the air on their dragons. They lined up, making sure that they were a fair distance apart from one another. Before they took off, Alec started to speak once more.

"Well, this is the moment you've waiting for! Hope you're ready. On the count of three. One! Two! Three!" and with that, Veta took off, using Extremespeed herself, with Josh more than likely by their side. Veta flew somewhat close to the ground while being able to zip past the trees. The poor solosis that was floating in the middle of their path spun around super quickly, being whiplashed by Veta's breakneck speed. "Oops! Sorry," alec shouted back, despite the fact that with how fast they were going, it was no longer in sight.

Despite having plenty of pokemon capable enough to race, he never really took the time to train them this way. For the most part, he trained them mainly for battle, which was obviously his better strong suit.

Alec's first battle in the tournament was about to start. A smirk was plastered on his face, looking forward to battling. However, his enjoyment of pokemon battles wasn't necessarily the reason why he entered in the first place. The grand prize was just simply too enticing to pass up! Arceus knew that he needed the money.

Alec threw two Pokeballs out in front of him, bringing out his shiny Charizard, Inferno as well as his Aggron, Brix. Believe it or not, he did some strategizing for the tournament beforehand. They may not be as well thought out as someone else's team, but Alec believed that his team had what it took to make it to the finals. "Looking forward to our battle," Alec said, continuing to hold his smirk while speaking to @elio . The cold winds from the hail blew, as well as the cackling of electricity at his feet did nothing to make Alec's confidence waver. He was ready to battle, as well as ready to win.

Alec was getting Veta, his Dragonite ready for the race. As he was doing so, Elise Calcifet had walked up to him; greeting him as well as wishing him luck in the race. "Thanks, Elise. Same goes for you and your Noivern," he said, giving her a friendly smile. Shortly after the two of them, spoke to one another, Veta nudged him, pointing towards a very familiar face. kyle lopez . Alec wanted right then there to walk up to him and talk, however, He was also preparing for the race as well. "I'm pretty sure he'll notice me soon enough." Alec thought to himself. The two of them needed to have a chat ... A chat that alec didn't know how to start. After all, everyone thought he was dead. And now that he was back here in Hoenn, that would change. Hell, chances are that the news had already caught wind of him being alive.

Alec sighed, looking up at the ceiling. Admittedly, he wasn't sure if signing up for this race was a good idea. However, Josh Devlin recommended it to him, and even though racing wasn't his thing, he felt that declining Josh's recommendation would seem rude, so Alec reluctantly accepted. Speaking of the 'Master of Faster', the dragon tamer also noticed him getting ready for the race as well. Alec gave him a slight wave over where he stood.
