The sudden, unannounced Flame Charge sent the poor little duckling reeling. Rather than retaliate against the fiery chicken, the Quaxly ran up to a nearby pond and frantically checked its own reflection in the water, making extra sure that its hair was still smooth and glossy. Priorities!

"You almost messed up his hair! It'll take more than an apology to make up for this." Leo said, staring crossly at the blue-haired woman. His expression softened somewhat when the latter introduced herself. "Muy bien, gracias." He replied to her query in fluent Paldean, looking to the side with a pouty expression. "I'm Leonicio."

Their pleasantries were interrupted by the appearance of a wild Shiinotic. "I'll deal with you later." The dark-skinned youth pointed at Kara, before turning his attention to the sentient fungus. "Rio, use Acrobatics!" His Quaxly let out a mighty quack, zipping around the Shiinotic faster than the eye could see and striking from multiple angles. The male model quickly tossed a Pokéball before the injured Grass type could get up.

What a funny-looking Voltorb. It appeared to be made out of... wood? It gleefully rolled around, minding its own business. What a great opportunity to ambush it!

"Go, Narcissus!" Leo sent out his Kirlia, which did a graceful pirouette. "Hypnosis!" The dark-skinned youth ordered. The Psychic type emitted hypnotic beams from its eyes that lulled the Voltorb into a deep sleep. The grunt threw a Safari Ball at the irregular Pokémon while it was vulnerable.

Leonicio had never thought that one of his first missions would be alongside a high-ranking member within the crime syndicate. Things were already looking up for him; proof that he'd been born under a lucky star. Lulu Flint exuded an aura of absolute authority he was mildly envious of.

Unfortunately, she wasn't very talkative, sharing very little information on what their mission was about. All he knew was that they were looking for stray Porygon, which was a simple task all things considered. Those digital ducks did stick out like a sore thumb, after all.

While the Rocket underboss went into a deli, Leo walked into the nearby shop as instructed with his Kirlia in tow. The door chime rang, but the clerk - a middle-aged man with a handlebar mustache and an afro - hardly noticed Leo's presence. He was too busy staring at his phone screen, playing the new otome game while on the job no doubt.

"NOOOOO!!" Afro Guy suddenly screamed in dismay. "My app crashed! Just as I was about to complete BELLE DELPHOX's romance route too!" His screaming only intensified when a Porygon popped out of his phone screen, zipping around the store and knocking several displays over.

"Boss, you might wanna see this!" The young Rocket grunt yelled from across the street, blocking the exit with his body so that the artificial Pokémon could not escape.

The organization he'd joined had a certain motto; that all Pokémon existed for their glory. That was a mindset that Leo could get behind!

Hoenn's Safari Zone was famous around the world for its wide assortment of exotic species. The spoiled Marceliño heir hated the wilderness, but he did like rare and valuable things, especially if he was the one owning them. And so, into the tall grass he went in search of great new additions to his team.

Leo is destined for greatness... at least that's what his mother told him when he was 5 years old and the idea has been drilled into his head ever since. It didn't help that his parents spoiled him rotten, considering Leo to be their "only son" after his older brother was disowned, his name never to be mentioned again at the dinner table. Quickly discovering that he could manipulate his own family (especially his older sisters who loved him to death) to get anything he wanted, Leo never had to lift a finger in his life.

Knowing that his handsome face was one of his greatest assets, he pursued a modeling career at a young age, his photoshoots alongside exotic Pokémon becoming very popular with teenage girls. However, he still felt that he was being held back by his small-minded, middle-class family and their traditions. He wanted more. Thus, Leo moved to Hoenn in pursuit of his destiny. His desire for conquest led him to join a certain organization where he could use his great intellect and manipulative skills to the fullest.
