"..Yeah, you're right." ...She was stuck in this, wasn't she. After this whole shitfest of a day, she really had to think of whether joining Team Rocket was genuinely worth it. Was it worth staining her reputation in return for hiding from authorities? For evading arrest for a crime she didn't do?[break][break]

As of now? Hell fucking no. She knew the organization was filled with monsters- but being around them so much was starting to wear her down. She just had to remember to stay strong, keep her head down, and look for answers before she got stuck in the spider's web.[break][break]

Shaking her head out of thought, she finally got a grip on her surroundings. Before her, the sight of tents in a peculiar setting brought her a false sense of security. "Is this- yours?" She asked out of curiosity. Did she- just hit the jackpot? Could she finally get some peace and quiet?

It happens within moments. One second, they're falling. The next- she's covering in fucking blood. It took her a few moments to realize what the warm liquid was on her... the smell of... ugh, what the hell was that? She didn't confirm it was blood until she glimpsed at her arms and hands.[break][break]

"Oh- Oh my fucking- H-holy shit- I- I think I'm gonna-"[break][break]

Throw Up. But nope, things just got worse. Within a flash, she found herself begin propelled into a cavern wall as they went through the vortex. And, unlike Navy, she wasn't as graceful with her landing. She found herself skidding across the cavern flooring- a series of yips and yelps escaping her as she eventually slid to a halt.[break][break]

...And then she laid there, unmoving... and letting out a very soft groan of pain.

Oh god they were fucking falling. Screw the whole feeling sick thing, she couldn't get past the feeling that they were going to fucking die. So yeah- she was screaming for dear life.[break][break]

She felt as if her heart was finally stopped operating as she mentally begged for Skarmory to do anything but falling. "uuuAAAAHHHHHH! I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!!"[break][break]

It seemed like she was too busy freaking out to accept- or even hear- any comforting words.

"You don't know?!" Oh man, she didn't like hearing that. Actually, literally everything spewing from this mad man's mouth made her fear for her life more then she probably should have. Actually- scratch that- she had every right to worry. Because she didn't want to fucking die![break][break]

She found herself screaming as Michael had Skarmory take a nose dive to assault the pursing pokemon- the screams of the enemy nearly defeating her. Oh man- and the tumbling didn't help matters. Infact, they made them worse.[break][break]

She was getting so dizzy... she felt like she was one of those big ass boats hitting massive waves. So disorienting... "Oh- Oh good heavens- I think I'm gonna be sick-"

Isaac would recieve a deadpan look from his attempted joke. It seemed like Akira didn't find it very funny.[break][break]

Yet, her demeanor would change was he begun to inspect her hand. "Oh- is that so?" She phrases the question as if she were curious, but- in reality, she attempts to mask her embarrassment. "I'll keep that in mind for uh- the next time I decide to throw hands. If theres a next time."[break][break]

She felt like such an idiot breaking her hand over something so simple. But now that she thought about it, she didn't have much training to know what was correct or not.[break][break]

It took everything in Akira to stay still as 'Charles' used Heal Pulse on her hand. Her teeth would grit visibly because- while it was helping with the wounds- the shifting of the bone structure in her fingers wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world. But that was the price to pay to... well... not have a broken hand.[break][break]

Once done, she would slowly brought her hand back to her chest. "...Thank you," It came out so quickly, before she would begin to look around- "Uhm- how far out do you think we are from... getting out of here?"

"Oh, fantastic," Despite her rather prickly mood, for once the sarcasm in her tone travels properly. "I love to hear that everyone is so fucking unhinged on this continent. That shit isn't contagious, right?"

Please say no. For the love of Arceus, the last thing she wanted to do was fall into the same rabbit hole as these psychopaths...[break][break]

"Your hand, can I see it?"[break][break]

The question takes her by surprise, genuine shock crossing her face for a few moments- before her lips press into a fine line from embarrassment. "Oh- Sure, here." She quietly raises her dainty hand- such of which is mangled. Most of the hand seems partially okay, except for the fingers.[break][break]

Based on the cuts and scrapes on her knuckles it was likely an injury from combat. "I... punched a League guy a little bit too hard earlier. The guy was a fucking creep and had it coming. He said something about being Rocket but- he made my blood boil a bit too much to give a shit."

She- wasn't expecting that. Given, she was completely fine with doing the bare minimum. Such would likely aid her in flying under the radar for the rest of this whole... ordeal. Plus, the less she did, the better off she would be health wise. She'd probably get a good night's rest...[break][break]

But.. the last person she'd expect to worry like that was someone like Gavin. And he had quite the reputation that- well, from what she knew completely contradicted that.[break][break]

No way in hell she was going to tell him that though. She'd probably ask someone else later... It's a shame she didn't know anyone she liked. "-Yes sir, I understand. Overworking wouldn't be very- optimal." She finally brings herself to respond, before quickly addressing his concerns about her knowledge on technology. Finally, something she had confidence in.[break][break]

"Yes sir, I have an indepth background with technology. At one point I worked as a technician, but- I parted ways with that buisness due to- disagreements with conduct. Despite that, the knowledge I learned from that time is something I still cherish." Surprisingly, that wasn't a lie. She just happened to leave out a lot of details from that statement.[break][break]

As for the cargo mission... she couldn't hold back a nervous smile. She'd quietly raise a hand to her neck to rub it out. "Well- Lets say that the person I was assigned to do it with kept running off to do... optional tasks. I eventually got overwhelmed and the payload got lost when the cave mutated. I also got thrown around by a Dugtrio so- to say I'm fatigued would be an understatement. The- uhm-" She pauses, looking at the base of the tree before looking back at Gavin. "-the unplanned break seemed to have helped with that though."

"Oh- very funny!" Unlike the masked man, Akira didn't find his comment very funny- even if what he was saying was the truth. The last thing she wanted was to be nitpicked when she was one wrong comment away from absolutely snapping. "-You know what, nevermind. I'm not gonna argue. I really don't have the energy for it... huh?"[break][break]

Her words would come to a graceful halt as the masked man revealed one of his pokemon. It... wasn't one she'd seen before. It looked kind of cute though... BAH! This wasn't the time to gush over pokemon![break][break]

She seemed to take a few seconds to response, perhaps thinking over her words carefully. Was this person... league? She wasn't sure. But she had a feeling that if they were to be rocket, they would have started fighting- or worse- try to attack her a long time ago. Fucking savages.[break][break]

"-Out." It was a curt response that, with narrowed eyes, would quickly be elaborated on. "I've beaten up, tired, and at my wit's end. The last thing I wanna do is waste more time down here then I have to..."

A small groan seem to escape Akira as "what comes to mind first" falls out of the masked man's lips. It was helpful advice, but- the first thing that came to mind was arguably the worst things.[break][break]

"Hnng- Well, I fell into a hole and... Umbreon was knocked out when I fell into that hellscape. I've practically spent the last half day being chased by pokemon, being harrassed by psychos, all without pokemon and a broken hand." She seems to pause, reflecting on the events, before a sharp tsk escapes her.[break][break]

"Fuck alleyway mazes, fuck flying maneating creatures... and the cherry on top? I got some dude to get me out only because he thought I was league. And even he was batshit crazy!" Her hands would raise in an exaggerated manner, before Akira would wince in pain. Right, bad move with the hand. "Like- he thought being chased by a large ass Gyarados worthy of being nightmare fuel was fun! Who fucking thinks almost dying is FUN?! Not me, thats for sure! Ugh-"

The sudden appearance of a masked person behind a rock caused Akira to nearly jump out of her skin, a yip escaping her. Umbreon, however, would get into a battle ready stance. Despite their rather beaten up state, they seemed more level headed then their inexperience trainer.[break][break]

Before she could even get a word in to retaliate, a low voice would greet her- well, not exactly greet. It sounded like a threat more then anything. Oh no... this was a joke right? She'd barely gotten out of the last confrontation, attaining freedom in exchange for breaking her hand via punching that rat bastard's face and knocking him out (milo sharpe).[break][break]

"-Are you fucking kidding me-" It comes out less like a threat, and moreso a verbalization of annoyance. She was almost certain that if she was struggling before, she was practically boned now. "Tsk- You're not planning to get in my way are you?"

Man.. this place was crawling with pokemon. One after another they came, this time her signs setting on a Beheeyem. She didn't waste any time to throw a pokeball at it in an attempt to catch it.[break][break]

"Uh- well, Umbreon and I were just-"

The man seems to yelp in excitement upon seeing a Slowking, nearly causing her to jump physically. Eyes widened, she would pause before continuing her response. "-We were just looking for pokemon to catch. I don't have many to so I figured it'd give me an opportunity to explore."[break][break]

The sudden emergence of Machamp almost scared her into death. Usually half death would be used for such analogy, but Akira was already brimming rock bottom for what her sanity and patience could handle. She watched as the pokemon jumped off the back of their airborne carrier and landed on the Gyarados, beginning to beat the living hell out of them.[break][break]

It was quite the astonishing thing to witness. She really hoped she could get some really big pokemon one day...[break][break]

...The mutation Machamp was experiencing, however, did not escape her. "Will they be okay?!" She asked, her tone mixed with confusion and worry.

"....." It takes a moment to put two and two together, immediately feeling a sense of embarrassment fill her heart. Oh- was that so? That... was unfortunate. Well, unfortunate for her at least. She really needed to be more observant... "-Right, my bad. I can't hear very well right now. An abomination from hell literally deafened me with its roars earlier..."[break][break]

Was that a lie? No. She very much was chased by a fucking pokemon... thing... but she definitely could hear. That wasn't for him to know, though.[break][break]

Alas, she would let out a sigh- her head dipping slightly to look at the cavern ground. Thank Arceus she could actually see where she was going for once... "Well- uh- theres a lot I suppose. Cillian Quinn accidently caught me sleeping after a really bad cargo haul. I usually don't do physical labor so- I was pretty exhausted." Damn you Kouji Matsubara. "Everything sort of went down hill from there... Good lord, where do I even begin..."

Its still too cold... the sun is out though, I think its mostly the wind chill. Such a bummer... Well, at least I got to finish my book today. I'll need to get another one next time I'm in town. Just a note for later though: Get a romance novel, mystery thrillers are starting to get repetitive.
