Because if it were up to Magnus, the man would have called an ambulance for what he'd do.[break][break]

So when she begins to speak, getting her water, he takes a breath finally, calming down his nerves, and standing up, a tall giant as he approaches her. He says it like it is. "Care to explain who that was?" Anger slants his brows down, fury fills his fists.[break][break]

But he would never. Ever. Hurt Jazz.[break][break]

The stress ball in his hand was squeezed hard, real hard. "In our HQ, no less... I mean nothin' to you? Huh?" He raised his voice. He would at least do that. But the sheer hypocrisy was written on the walls. The fact that he could sleep around, and she couldn't...[break][break]

Shit wasn't fair, but to Magnus? That was fine by him. Feelings were left for the couples. They were boss and employee.[break][break]

Even Magnus didn't fully believe it. But he's so furious, he could go out, find that guy, and break his ankles. "They're lucky they get to leave here in one piece." She knows he would never do that in front of her. Well... probably.[break][break]

It all started with some milk.[break][break]

It's gonna sound really weird, but Magnus had been seeing some other prime suspects for some less-than-savory activities. Man isn't exactly closed about his pursuits, and none know more so than Jasmine Blair. Whether it Juliet Yearwood, Leilani Ka’uhane, or any other of his pursuits, he always made sure that when they accompany him for fun, the gang knows what is up.[break][break]

So imagine the hypocrisy, when Magnus heads home to the hideout, having gotten some milk after his gym workout, and hears banging in one of the bedroom walls. He hears the moaning voice of Jasmine. It's like a wildfire in his mind.[break][break]

See. Magnus is perfectly loyal to his crew. He can do whatever he wants, but the moment some limp-dick bitch comes around sporting a half-chub and goes anywhere near them, Magnus immediately becomes the Guard Dog. In fact, he was sure some of the others knew that jealous guard dog mannerism the most when it came to Jasmine.[break][break]

And he doesn't. Know. Why.[break][break]

Lo and behold, he sat on the couch. Every moan, every single time he heard a voice, he would get angry. He grabs the stress ball he remember someone gave him- he doesn't know who, and he squeezes. He squeezes. He squeezes in the same rhythm to the sound of the rocking mattress.[break][break]

Coco and Latte are trying their best to stay out of it, but both registered service Pokemon push onto Magnus to try and calm him down. Though no one can calm Magnus down at all in these moments, because one of two things was going to happen.[break]

So here he sits. A vein popping on his forehead, a sign to his fury to come. But quiet, it sits building, boiling over. Because the moment that door opens.[break][break]

He could hold her for hours if she let him. He didn't want to let her go. But when she finally peels her way from him, he does so, and simply watches her cover herself again. And it isn't hard to see him pull his pants back on either, but something wild...[break][break]

As he sends the manager a message, sent, and finalized, Magnus does something. A trademark of the future every time he was a sweet man. He placed his Orthrus jacket around her shoulders, over-sized, massive, and every bit the signifier that this was his woman without him outright saying it. He'd never say it outright.[break][break]

With her devious smirk, and one more kiss to her, he swipes his money envelope begotten from Keira, and gets the tips for Jasmine before hoisting her back up into his arms. She said she might not be able to walk straight.[break][break]

So evidently, the best course of action was to carry her to dinner.[break][break]

All his now. "Glad to hear it, gorgeous." It's like a switch flips upon her lips saying those exact words. Because for the next year, these two were going to have some spats from just the way it was phrased. "You like French? Italian? You know, I can message my good friend Colonel Angus, if you don't mind a taxi..."[break][break]

He didn't know any Colonels. He didn't know any Angus'. But he sure as hell knew what the backseat of a taxi was.[break][break]

With a smirk, and a step out the backstage, he carries his woman out. Intent to have a meal all his own.

He had her. It was a battle, but one he had every intention to make, as he looks at her. Two week notice? Done. He can wait two weeks. No, well, he can wait two weeks for her to be his, but he didn't have to wait longer than that. Hell, he was impressed with her when she pushed his money away.[break][break]

... something about that stunt left him stunned. Usually, a woman or man he slept with would jump for joy at the money. Take the bait and buckle, but something about the way she just pushes it away.[break][break]

Magnus' smile disappears for one reason or another. Was it he was touched...? No, probably just the loins moving. That always made the heart race. But when she agrees to dinner and his place, to help her up, he doesn't hold back. One arm on her back, the other tucked under her knees, and he has her up like a bride. The six foot nine goliath, holding her, golden eyes trace her every feature.[break][break]

As in 'I'll take care of you'. He doesn't realize that's what he meant, but he does mean it. Food, wine, a little flirting. A date further in Slateport, and the gang getting to meet the new boo on his arm. [break][break]

A new flavor of the month, that he would grow an addiction for. Wouldn't just be a month, even if it was on-and-off. Magnus was full into Jazz.

A raise of a brow from him. Who was this Cherry? Part of him wanted to know if she was as hot as Jazz, but... then... he'd have to be awful rude to go see.[break][break]

Really, he knew that was @keira's department, but he didn't often hunt for new members of Orthrus. he did it, yes, and he often consulted Keira, but... this one was special. Knowing him, he'd be asking her himself, her and Leilani Ka’uhane. Both women were in control of the club. And getting someone like Jazz here, that'd be an easy sell. And...[break][break]

Hee knew @marshall and Kei might have some words for him on his flavor of the month, but this was a flavor he wanted to savor. In his club, not this one. Olympus could eat this one for breakfast. But it was one thing to just tell her this. He reaches down to the allowance Keira let him have, and places the whole envelope on the table. In there was just four grand left from the six grand he had.[break][break]

How far indeed? Magnus felt the buttons pressed, and he knew what she was doing. When her arms wrap to his neck, he can feel the trap already sprung. He knew it was happening, he didn't stop it. He liked the thrill. But as he stares down at her, he says it plainly.[break][break]

It's out in the air now. It isn't going further than a worker-boss relationship, but Magnus did like what he got, and that perk would go away to another man or woman if he didn't act on it.[break][break]

"Told ya', beautiful. Jack Magnus. I run the gang Orthrus." He smirks, knowing their name did preceded them all, and so he doesn't do much more. Elaboration didn't need to go too far, but he'd at least help her know. "I run the show, and my posse and I work together. The League, it forgets itself a lot, lets people drown in the cracks of the world. But Rocket, they're just terrorists in disguise. Orthrus, we're honest. So, we see what we want-" Magnus pulls her closer, practically pulling her to his chest to illustrate.[break][break]

"-and we take it. Rocket can't dissolve us, and the League is too busy with them to pay us mind. We run Club Olympus, and we run the streets."[break][break]

His hands rest upon her backside, and hoist her up into his arms more, golden eyes looking down towards her. Towards a woman he foudn himself staring seconds on end at. He ponders tearing his gaze away, but he doesn't bother.[break][break]

"So you're cancelling tomorrow." It was as simple as that.

Magnus enjoyed their talks already, and he barely knew Jasmine an hor. Yet here he was, wrapped around her like a coat she knew better than to get rid of. He's so focused on her, her body, her eyes, her face, that when her voice breaks finally, he had no idea what it was, but he felt comfort. This comforting, soothing massage to his ears, and to his chest.[break][break]

He follows her movement with his eyes, laying there exposed as she notes how she'll have to cancel the show tomorrow. Magnus was okay with that.[break][break]

As the blanket moved down her shoulder and chest, he finds himself staring, and to her mention of his dick and ego, he laughs full-heartily, pulling himself to a seat, hands now moving around her and enrapturing her in his heat again. He finds her lips once the bottle is away again. It's a tender, gentle kiss, unlike what came before.[break][break]

"Too late, gorgeous. After a night with you, it stays big." He laughs, pulling her closer, hands in a small hug as he continues. Not sure whether he's referring to one or the other. Judging from being behind her now, probably both. "Cancel tomorrow. I'll treat you to dinner, than you can sleep at my place." He had the money.[break][break]

It's agony, listening to how Latte is pained, making every whimper and whine one could imagine. Magnus felt his heart breaking for the hound, and with Vee doing exactly what's needed, Latte gives her the look. The look of a dog that is in so much pain. Wanting someone there for his potential last moments.[break][break]

When he opens that maw, Magnus pushes the pill pocket in his mouth, and he slowly helps him chew. The look on his face is stressful, as he feels his heart drop.[break][break]

Latte swallows.[break][break]

Magnus leans in, and gives the Houndoom a soft kiss on the forehead, and wiping to his eyes, he leans back against what is the dark-brown leathery couch. His arm is thrown over a retracted knee, his other leg splayed out, and he throws his head back and just... closes his eyes.[break][break]

All he can do now is wait. All he can do now is wait on him to be okay.[break][break]

"Not the kind of day I was wanting. Sorry you have to see that, pup."[break][break]

He shoots Vee an honest smile, one that is the antithesis to his smug energy. This was a genuine Magnus. When he wasn't riddled with a horndog energy towards chasing skirts, or the like, he was just a human underneath the six foot nine body. The leader had a weakness, as anyone else did.[break][break]

"Hungry? I can order chinese. Maybe we watch a flick and wait."

Magnus definitely took notice, between the unique eye color of the woman now seated next to him. And to say she was the only one drawing attention would be a lie. No shirt on his end, he let the ink on his body and the chisel of his abs do the talking. He didn't need to hype himself, he didn't need to give more than that.[break][break]

Thing was, he was the Hype, and he knew it better than most.[break][break]

So, when she twirls her raven hair in her fingers, gives her name, and then runs a nail across his arm, he makes an interested growl. He was in a rush, but if she's saying to slowdown, he better put the breaks on.[break][break]

That's the thing about powerful women. They often dictated the pace, like he found wtih @keira and like he'd find with Jasmine Blair years from now.[break][break]

"Pleasure is all yours, baby." It's a little innuendo, but he shows that despite his horndog persona, there's a brain up there, working and turning the cogs. Something a lot of people don't consider often enough is that all that brawn leaves no brain, but to the contrary, Magnus never stopped learning. Never once since juvie. With the slowdown, he shoots a look to the bartender. "Boulevardier." Bourbon. Not his drink of choice, but he liked bourbon. He's more a whiskey man.[break][break]

"So then princess. Tell me about yourself." he inquires, and once that glass is at his hand, he begins a drink. Slow and steady wins the race here. "Dreams. Aspirations. Anything, you name it."

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to tell that, but maybe some Rocket scientists could study how to have game sometimes. Game recognize game, and as she scoots closer, like prey within the jaws of the predator; but to whom hunted whom, that would be the question. With her hands around his neck now, he just stares on, as she offers the trip to the hotel room.[break][break]

It wasn't a solid 'yes', but it wasn't looking to be a 'no', so Magnus kept rolling the dice, but instead of just letting words come out, he elects to listen to both Keira and Marsh in his head. Roll the dice a second longer, think the strategy before the throw, and plan for a dagger within the cloak.[break][break]

Kei would be proud if he wasn't so hellbent on the pump-n-dump.[break][break]

With the kiss on his cheek a second too long, she eventually pulls herself off, and calls herself Juliet. A name he won't soon forget. "Alright, Julie. You got it. And yeah, I like honesty. Honestly, they're fuckin' awesome." It's a fun pick-up line he enjoys, a little play off of honesty, because women eat that shit up like hungry hippos. Diving under the bench to give chase, smashing through topiary, she's so big she practically is wrecking the place, but she's having fun. Usually, she's the maternal one, but here she was, acting a puppy.[break][break]

Her memories go back years ago, when her siblings would all be happy to enjoy playing with each other, and she was alone. Runt of the litter, small girl. She'd found her way out of what was a dog mill, smarter than her own siblings, and escaped captors until she reached a shelter not too far away. After that, she was always defensive of every single potential trainer.[break][break]

It was hard at first, but when he came in and saw the pain in her, the dog man truly won her. To a bite, he hugged her, to a bark, he held her close. That puppy Houndour cried that day.[break][break]

"Sounds like Latte." Magnus happily eyed his other Houndoom, the tired boy happy and heavier-set than Coco, but as he focuses on his laugh, he coos out. "Got a cute laugh. I like that in a guy." He's really trying to sell it now.[break][break]

When asked for proof though, Magnus snickers. Course it ain't that easy, man would have to prove himself. Didn't have the jacket, didn't have his usual swag. But instead, he uses his title and his money. "Oh yeah. Could take you to our hideout here in Mauville for proof. Get real personal. No one there right now, so we could enjoy a fun day, watch a movie, makeout a little, smash... you like cheesy romcoms, baby? Or is Mint with the ass more of the horror guy who wants to hold me close?" It's more of a 'lets take him back to the hideout here in Mauville, where we run things'. Jack Magnus didn't need to say more.[break][break]

How many other six foot nine guys with the crazy hair and the golden eyes were around? Probably few. He didn't feel the need to push it.[break][break]

But a little incentive. "I'll have Latte be your lapdog." Latte doesn't even budge, he just opens one eye, and accepts his role as the sleepy, plumper dog.[break][break]
