Though he smiles to his phone, he can't help but smile quietly.[break][break]

Thattagirl. Seeya soon, pup. is sent back through a text, before he puts it away, and continues to monitor Latte. The amount of care he was giving could not be overshadowed. There were three pillows for the whining hound, a blanket for them when they shivered, and a wet washcloth to help with the sweating. Magnus hated to see him like this, as he was always so careful, but the damage was already done.[break][break]

As he sits there for a long, long while, he grapples with a reality where he would have to put Latte in the ground. It isn't his favorite thought, but it's one he knows will come one day. He's come to terms with it. He understands it.[break][break]

But he knows, if Latte goes, Coco will never be the same.[break][break]

It's a while longer when Vee is back to the hideout, and the moment the medication is in his hand, he is already looking it over to read the instructions, reaching nearby for what was essentially a little pill pocket. That is to say, something to hide the drug he would be giving to Latte, to make it look like a treat.[break][break]

For Vee, Latte was sweating, and whining loudly, half-lidded eyes looking at her pleadingly, hoping that the pain will stop. A hand could move to his face, and he'd lick the hand. But to say the hound was hurt was an understatement. It was agony, and the pain that riddled Magnus' face matched it in kind.[break][break]

As he gets the pill into the little treat pocket, and covers it up, he begins to try and get Latte to eat it, who turns his head a bit to lick at it. "Either he ate something he shouldn't, or an Ekans bit him. I don't know. Doc prescribed some good shit though. Just need him to take it."[break][break]

Easier said than done.[break][break]

"Can you get him to open his mouth?" It's... almost like seeing a man about to shatter into a half a dozen pieces. Like a baseball thrown at a mirror, and it cracking it slow motion. Vee would never have known this aspect to Magnus. He cared that much.

Her robe beautifully flows away, and with it, he can see everything. Her legs locked around him so perfectly, his lips meeting hers, with territory marked in both regards. But every hot breath leaving her lips mimics his. And her words were fast.[break][break]

It doesn't take long before Magnus effortlessly tore his way to the couch, above her, placing her back into the couch.[break][break]

Not five seconds later, and a pair of trousers fly through the air and onto the floor.[break][break][break]

It's maybe twenty minutes later. Body riddled in sweat, Magnus holds what is his woman in his beefy arms, staring at the ceiling. He's laying on the couch. Comfy place. Real nice and comfy. He could get used to it in any other situation.[break][break]

But kissing her cheek, he whispers out in a dulcet tone. "How you feelin', Jazzy?" Golden eyes on her, holding her tight to him. A small blanket covering to all the outsiders, but for just him? He got the show.[break][break]

"That dancin' ain't just for show, you know your way around the pole."[break][break]

Magnus here, fire lines, thunder thighs. He was damn impressed. See Marshall, this is why they needed a bed and breakfast. After bed, get the breakfast, easy peasy. Or... maybe he could find his breakfast in bed?[break][break]

The one thing about Magnus that will never not be true is his love for his dogs; that is his family, Orthrus in general, and his actual puppies. Coco, Latte, recently Halle, Berry, and Jo-Jo. All of them are his dogs, and he treats them like royalty. Considering how he can be a hard ass his whole time as a leader, be a loud ass perverted mess of a man on lecherous nights, it's in these quieter moments that reveal the man underneath.[break][break]

Latte was sick. Sick bad. During some walk, little Latte ate something he shouldn't have, and has been unable to digest food. Magnus didn't wait a single second once he knew. He lifted his dog up, and ran to the Pokemon Center a full five blocks, cutting through traffic and pushing people down of every variety.[break][break]

The one thing that will always be true about Magnus is how much he cares about his own.[break][break]

When he returns from the vet, he has Latte in a doggie bed at the hideout, and finds himself sitting on that leathery dark-brown couch. His golden eyes are serious, and instead of a smug smirk, he is worried. He has Latte's bed nearby, the cloth over his little Houndoom head.[break][break]

He texts his youngest member.[break][break]

Hey. Vee. Pick up a prescription at the pharmacy before you come to the hideout. I'll pay you for your time, pup.[break][break]

He pets Latte's cheek, staring at the Houndoom, who is whining quietly. A worried Coco, Halle, and Berry all huddle nearby, watching their surrogate dad. Jo-Jo the Riolu sits next to Magnus, and just nods quietly, moving to the kitchen to get a damp cloth.[break][break]

Magnus' hands are shaking the whole time.

Today was a pretty good day, honestly. Usually, days like today, Magnus would head to the streets, find him a little sugar, get some tail, head to the grocery store, find him a little sugar, get some tail, go out drinking, find him a little sugar, get some tail, and spend the night somewhere he's too drunk to remember where. The usual long and short of it, but today?[break][break]

Today was Kei day.[break][break]

Mt. Chimney, big as it is, was that much less with Magnus, but more so with Keira next to him. The woman he saw with more respect than perhaps any other.[break][break]

"Moltres, huh?" He rubs his chin, freshly shaved as he ponders how to take this information. On the one hand, yeah, he was a canine guy. But he begins to laugh. "So be it! If that bird comes our way, let's take it home." He'd never mesh well with a bird. Hell, @deimos had a better chance than he did. But if it was Keira?[break][break]

If Keira was their first Avatar?[break][break]

That'd make his day. @marshall would have a fire woman. Not that he doesn't already.[break][break]

Two pups begin to bark out happily from behind Magnus and Keira, having caught up. Two little Houndours; Halle and Berry. Both yip happily towards Magnus. Keira sees the softest side of Magnus.[break][break]

"One sec Kei, gotta help the pups."[break][break]

He takes a knee, something he never does for anyone. No woman ever made him take that knee before, but as he arches his back, both Houndours hop onto his shoulders, and yip with this glee, as Magnus now looked like a bonafide Cerberus with three heads.[break][break]

"Alright. Let's get moving then."

Arceus. Crowd just likes bloodshed. Always have. Humanity just always is that way. Grim shit, all the time. It's like a disease. But one he indulges in. Hell, he loves it too.[break][break]

Magnus tilts his neck to the side, and he cracks it. When the man across from him calls him Big Daddy, he stops, and begins making one helluva boisterous, happy laugh. He liked the guy. "You insist, man. But I fist pretty hard."[break][break]

And to demonstrate this, Magnus walks at first, making his approach step by step by carnivore analyzing their prey. With wild speed, he takes his stance, thrusting himself forward with a powerful long jump and (attempting to) slamming his fist right into the redhead's stomach, one of his stronger punches intent to debilitate the 'gentleman'.[break][break]

Honor is something everyone has, but only a few people ever hold onto it. Magnus would remember this.[break][break]

If the guy can handle that one devastating smash of a punch, he was worthy to continue the fight.

Today was a fight. Now, Magnus wasn't a complete fool. He knows these fights are played for money, and a lot of it. But, being his six foot nine graceful appearance, now shown shirtless to the entire crowd to allow them all to see him, they had every right to bet on the winning horse. But supposedly, this guy across him was a veteran.[break][break]

He liked that. Experience. Not a bad looker either. [break][break]

Showboaty as hell though, raising the crowd's hopes. He liked that too. Man had a charisma to the ring, like a wrestler. The only difference was, a lot of that shit was fake. This shit though? Blood was gonna splatter the mat.[break][break]

Shame really. Mats don't build character. Getting the kick shitted out of you, now that builds character. In order to get the most out of this though, he decides to play along with the redhead. For now.[break][break]

As the announcer goes off and calls him what he is, the leader of a gang called Orthrus, his lips curve up into a wide-berth smirk. "You wanna make the first move, twink?" He'd give him the courtesy, as his own punches were built to break people. Better to let him think he's doing good.[break][break]

Little did Magnus know though. This man would be one of his fiercest warriors. And this, was simply a test of strength.

Though she feins it for a moment, that sweeter than honey addicted him in the best of ways. His hand quickly grabbed her own on contact, and before he can pull her close, she beats him to it and now they are close. Really close.[break][break]

Light fingers trace his hair, and he's pulled down. Powerful women. A weakness he would gladly have again.[break][break]

"My friends call me Magnus. But you can call me whenever you want." Smoother than butter, and inches away, the lips readied. He only has one question of his own before the beast is let loose. "You, gorgeous?" And he waits for the name to come out.[break][break]

That was all she would get out.[break][break]

He lifts her up effortlessly, two hands cupping her backside as he lifts her up into his arms, and his lips find a lock-on to her own, eyes closed as he tosses his jacket, and soon his shirt off to hang on a chair. It takes maybe a moment of air, but as soon as the chiseled giant shows his bravado- in more ways than one -he finds his way back to the beauty before him, an intent to throw that robe away out of sight, and therefore out of mind.[break][break]

Dirty minds think alike, after all. The less clothes left around, the better.

He's smart despite his dipshit persona, and he's trains every day.

WHAT CAN BE LOOKED UP

- Has a Tinder and Grindr profile. Both of which use his title, DogInEmMagnus. He hasn't used it lately.
- Being a crime lord in Hoenn, he's obviously known by the League and just walks about like he owns the place. He tells everyone he leads Orthrus, bar none whatsoever.

Now THAT was what he was talking about. Marshall begins to laugh, and Magnus grins ear to ear, knowing damn well he's at least got a foot in the door. All he needed was that foot in the door, and he was in.[break][break]

Upon Marshall's own barking, giving him that deal of a lifetime, Magnus snatches that hand. And the early bromance between Slade and Magnus was done. The dog with two heads.[break][break]

He's still not convinced. No matter. Magnus isn't a man who just takes no for an answer. He's the kind of guy who will show you why no isn't an answer, and if they still say no, he leaves it be. Money on the table.[break][break]

His question does lead Magnus to smirk. He has no reason to lie. Honesty gains allegiance. Subterfuge builds walls.[break][break]

"Four years now. Was supposed to get out a couple years back, but I found that the library here ain't half shit, so I caused a bit of a riot. Turns out, kids just want direction, ya'know? So I gave it to'em. Kick the shit out of the guards. Got a few more added on to my time here, some solitary, but I kept reading, kept working the system. Learned a lot." School? They teach shit to regurgitate it back out. It's literally just spouting facts, and expecting kids to write them down and memorize them. That isn't learning.[break][break]

Learning is understanding history of the region. It's understanding micro and macro-economics. It's understanding organizational politics and putting to use the knowledge gained to provide a stable foundation.[break][break]
