No matter how much contempt Lucien held forwards Mirabella's parents, it didn't mean he should hold Mirabella to the same. He knew better, especially to someone who had been at his side through childhood. However feelings as heated as this was hard to kill, especially when her annoyance was just acting as oxygen to his fires, and it probably worked in reverse to her as well. Maybe in the end they were both riling up each other for nothing.[break][break]

"Let's not beat around the bush, shall we?"[break][break]

Soon after the click of their glass, Lucy would throw back her drink, as the flirty and cheerful expression on her face dropping in the meantime. She wasn't going to stop until she finished the drink from her flute, even if it meant having Mira's next words falling into silence. She was right, she deserved to at least know something-- anything. Perhaps the truth of his annoyance wasn't from her, or her father, but from himself.[break][break]

"Non, you're right.." His voice was low, dropping the act for just a second as he'd pour himself a second drink. Club Olympus was really like magic, it was for just a second that he really felt like this open space was really a closed off world for them too. "Oh? 'Ow fun~" Lucy's voice was back still thick with her Kalosian accent, as a hand reaching up to her lips, playfully pretending to be in deep thought. "We really can't have 'ze duke cuttin' in on my freedom, non ?" Yes, he was on the run, no matter how short it will end up being, Lucien wanted to make it clear it was for his freedom. It seemed she needed it too from how her expression shifted, so Lucien--Matoe--Lucy, did what they did best, they listened "Hoenn is land of new opportunity. I would hope you to least make some new friends where in place you couldn't." How truly sad and bitter. "It's been...something for me I guess." For both of them it seemed, "Relic Red has selling a good amount of clothing. Even got a change to see some old faces. For example, I got to see Remmy again and meet one of his cousin as well."[break][break]

Despite her framing it like it was something positive the undertones were loud enough. Lucien back at home knew she loved fashion, the way her eyes lit up on formal occasions where she could better express herself, or whenever she talked about the time and effort she placed into her attire; Lucien knew full well that it was her passion. She should have been sitting here bragging about how well Relic Red has been going, but the truth lied at the end. Remi, huh? He also was a prince that rather than staying in his home country he choose to stay within Hoenn, and Lucien also knew of relationship they used to share.[break][break]

"Would you believe I met this girl called Naia Kayode ?[break][break]

"Oh? Truly just filler, just so she knew he was paying attention to her, listening even if she only just wanted to vent. It's a story as old as time, finding out that one of your friends is close with your ex. Logic didn't matter in this occasion, right now what matter most was that Mirabella felt slighted, "Wow, what a bitch move." Lucy would let out a whistle, even gently placing a hand on Mira's arm to try and console her even further.[break][break]

"I 'ave no idea what your friendship with 'zis Naia chick 'as been 'zus far --But, I can say you surely dodged a bullet wi'z Remiel. 'Ze man can barely can keep it in his pants." Mira deserved to be mad, deserved to be a bit selfish. at least in here she wouldn't have to worry about people passing her dirty laundry to others, everyone here has been hurt in some way or another. That's why they all sought out Olympus anyways. "Men can literally be 'ze worse."[break][break]

Lucy was still ready with her bottle, there to refill Mira's drink whenever it was empty. It was apart of her job, but also she knew that heartbreak is when the bottle does it best soothing. "Oh là là!" Annoyance filled lucy's voice, annoyance that was very obviously not directed at Mirabella, but instead at the other two in her story, "What did you do next?"

After being lurched forward by his own Pokémon and being speed away to the nearest town, Mateo was learning very quickly that he wasn't feeling much of the trip. a serious concern seeing how after a short moment of being whisked away the only warmth he could feel was something bubbling up in her throat. Even after numerous attempts to swallow it down, all it took was one cough for him to realize that what he was trying to keep down was none other than a thick and darkish glob of blood now sitting in his hand.

[break][break]The only reason why he knew he got to a city was because the blurred greens in his vision was more grey, sometimes sprinkled with what he could only assume was people before his body would finally give into the toxins and everything went black. While he wasn't awake for anything else that happened next it was pretty obvious what could have transpired while he laid back in a hospital bed.

[break][break]It wasn't a beautiful or friendly reunion with his Doublades and Aegislash, mainly because hugging swords wasn't exactly comfortable for Doctor certified, and plus he wasn't feeling the greatest after all of his poison treatments. No-one ever really talked about it but antidotes weren't the most pleasant experience as he was required to take medication after medication for the concoction of different Pokémon fumes. So if anything he learned two value lessons, one don't get poisoned and two, don't fucking stick your nose in people's shit anymore.

Was he sluggish? Just as he threw his Pokémon his mind wanted him to turn tail and run but the wobble in his legs and the blurred vision was starting to get to his head. It wasn't until a sea of blue was right in front of his eyes, and a painful impact to his gut. He barely noticed the other two Pokémon fighting each other, and even if he was in the right mind the way his eyes watered up from the pain and gas wasn't helping much here.

[break][break]He could take the pain, but what he couldn't take was that gasp for air afterwards, his lungs were already so filled up with the gas that instead of it burning anymore it twisted his insides instead. That mixed with her suddenly forcing him to stand up, sent his world spinning with the worse sense of vertigo he has ever experienced.

[break][break]He wasn't in the mood for petty banter, or quick remarks and he especially knew when he should just give it up. If anything he was more than grateful that this lady wasn't going to gut him right there and from the corner of his eye he could see his Aegislash recoiling from the damage.

[break][break]They were both fucked up, but rather than going for a counter attack it would instead would shed a layer of it's blade and with alarming speed blot over towards Mateo. Excalibur was always crazy fast after AUTOMATION, and with a tasseled hand it would scoop up Mateo heading for out of the smoke cloud. At least everyone here hopefully can agree this was the best.

[break][break]Okay dope, sounds like a fucking plan, but from how quickly she turned onto him he highly doubted she was just going to let him leave like that. That much was apparent when she barked at Atticus and it forced itself on its feet and attacked on the same breath. Whilst typically he would have been find taking the other hit, he didn't consider a combo attack. It was the moment his doublades dropped to the ground that he knew they were out for the count, and having them stay in the poisonous gas wasn't going to do anyone any good.

After his doublades were recalled with his grip still on his Aegislash he'd swung it over towards his attacker, it using the momentum to layer on Power Trick. Hoping that the extra defense may keep it alive but also lower it's attack to not do too much damage since his goal was to distract her and run.
