This was surely an experience.

[break][break]It wasn't the fact that he was soaring through the skies that were a first for him, it was one of his hobbies to go doublade surfing to get himself around. However this was his first time riding a large beast like this through the skies, the sheer power and strength his creature carried with itself was felt with every flap of his wings. It was far different from the smooth sailing he was used too, and instead it had a rugged wild thrill; this was probably what Josh was trying to get at. Even more so was the slightly rough landing.

[break][break]"okay, there her route 113 as i promise. how did you like your first flight, lulu?"

[break][break]Hoping down from the creature after watching his sister had done so, Mateo found himself slightly stumbling as he misjudged the height difference at first. But rather than getting embarrassed at that it seemed something else caught his attention as he'd chuckle the stumble off and throw his hand to the back of his head to fluff up his hair.

[break][break]"Dang, Sue. I never realized how weird it feels to be called Lu when I'm not in drag."

[break][break]Even after saying that he didn't seem upside by it at all or really pushed the matter to get her to stop. Lucy was after all as much as a real name to him as Mateo was anyway.

[break][break]"there should be a lot of steel types around here for ya if we around."

[break][break]"Oh, dope! Do you think we'll see any Honedges? Escavalier is also cool too~ 'R what abo--"

[break][break]He realized he had been talking excitedly before he'd laugh at himself and shoot a single finger gun over towards Sue.

Lucien unfortunately became a pro at hiding his true feelings; the very skill that was forced down upon him since a young age by his parents and nobles alike. It was a skill he continued to hone even after Mira had left Kalos to study, and a skill he mastered after his duties as a prince grew beyond his limits. It was how even whilst she poured a drink for the daughter of one of his least favourite people, and even while bitterness grew and bubbled, the friendly demeanor and smile on her face never faltered.

[break][break]Once Mira has sat down and taken her drink, Lucy would pour herself one as well, though notably she didn't fill the glass to the top instead filling it half way. Her job does require her to continuously drink with her clients so it's more favourably for her to have a small drink. Plus, it means more for her date.

[break][break]"How long? I guess it really depends."

[break][break]Her eyes closed for a second, the glass flute in her hand as she'd gently and methodically swirled the drink in it. Of course a noble would already be trying about going back. Then again, this could also just simply friendly conversation.

[break][break]With them you can never tell.

[break][break]"I 'nly recently came to Heonn, so I really do hope to get 'ze full experience it has to 'ffer."

[break][break]As she spoke the glass lifted towards her face, but rather than taking a drink she was instead getting a hint of the sweet yet bitter smell of the alcohol. And with the opening of her eyes, she'd bring her glass towards Mirabella for a cheer with another delicate smile.

[break][break]"A selfish request of mine, I do hope you'll 'zroughly tell me about your experiences here. I love hearing everyone's stories."

It was one of those days where you desperately needed to find something that would help un-piss off a woman. Or more accurately yet, they haven't found out yet that you did something that was worthy of such a reaction and you needed to take preventative measures. Thus far he had been doing the bare minimum of distracting her with his wiles and charms, but knowing how her family operates sooner or later she will grab him by the balls.

[break][break]It was how he ended up here at quaint little flower shop, early enough in the morning so Leilani wouldn't catch him in the act of buying flowers for some other woman. Or.. actually maybe it was just better to buy flowers for both of them. It was when he walked into the shop when the thought of possibility getting everyone including the guys in the gang some flowers. He couldn't help but laugh a bit at the idea of pranking them and not saying who sent it to them and seeing the chaos left behind.

[break][break]"Yo! Sorry but I got a bit of an 'rder, is that cool?"

[break][break]As if to add a bit of flair to his question, Mateo would shoot the shop keeper a couple finger guns, even giving them a little bit of a shake and a playful wink. Though not long he'd find himself wondering around the shop, not really knowing where or what to start with. Then an idea hit him.

[break][break]"Ah, I'm looking for flowers for a beautiful lady who is just pissed off at the idea of me being around here in Hoenn. Got any suggestions?"

With the short time Mateo had joined Hoenn he had already been ruin dungeoning, racing with a gym leader, flirted with a princess and still he was starving for more adventure. It felt like this small part of the world was just bursting with endless possibilities, and through all those possibilities he caught wind of what people called the borders. Well it was these or there was this dope adventure where you had to survive for a week in this J*rassic Park like setting.

[break][break]Something told him if he disappeared for that long, Leilani would blow a casket so instead he settled for this. However he wasn't alone, he recently became real close with someone from the gang, Abner Armstrong and he just had to bring him along. It fortunately wasn't a painless procedure to convince it, just some begging and a promise to join him on whatever he wanted to do next and he eventually folded.

[break][break]No-one can say no to this face after all.

[break][break]The first thing he noticed wasn't the dystopian world around them but the heavy and overbearing sensation that weighed on him. Never before had he ever experienced something like this in his life, but the feeling made his skin crawl and feet feel like lead before his body would painfully and slowly adjust to the environment.

[break][break]"Shit man, what the fuck?"

[break][break]During the time he adjusted he stayed bent over with his hands on his knees to stabilize himself, the sound of a woman's voice peaked his attention, and there in the distance he'd see a person standing in front of a run down cottage, possibly talking to another person.

[break][break]"Yo! Are you guys also in for 'ze adventure?"

[break][break]Eventually Mateo would make his way over to the two of them, adjusting his signature coat both to pridefully draw attention to it and to also groom himself to look good in front of new people. Upon seeing the woman who looked tired and a bit stun Mateo would focus his attention in on her.

[break][break]If he managed to get to her before Abner, he'd swoop down crouching down to her level and offer his hand to help her up, a little, "Mademoiselle, Is every'zing okay?" even offering his jacket if she wanted it. However if if his big bro got to her first, Mateo would take on a far more supportive role, being sure to help gather her things so she just needed to only focus in on herself.

[break][break]If anything he thought of himself as a gentlemen.

"You certainly know how to make an entrance, Mateo!"

[break][break]Mateo would give Josh a bit of a wink and a double finger guns at the compliment, very much appricating the whistle.

[break][break]"I already like you! If I hadn't formally introduced myself, Elite Ranger Devlin and Gym Leader Devlin, but you can call me Josh. I prefer my first name. Got too many titles as is."

[break][break]"Aw sucks, you'll make me blush, man. But, it's great to meet ya Josh. I don't really got any fancy titles like you, but you can call me Mat or Mattie or Mateo if you want. Yo know for nickname sake."

[break][break]He spoke while he had continued to shower one of the pyroars with affection, however upon seeing the second standing nearby, he'd make sure to spread the love and affection between them both instead. With a hand on each of their necks, he'd give them plenty of scritches and scratches while Devlin spoke.

[break][break]"These four can break the speed limit easily, which is why we're taking the back road. Aslan, Simba, Kovu, and my newest, Nala,"

[break][break]Mateo would lean back slightly so he could get a good line of sight of Josh while he spoke, his eyes darting between him and his lions as he named them in each order.

[break][break]"Nice to meet y'all. That must mean you're Kovu and Nala."

[break][break]He'd give them one large pet, almost pulling them into a bit of a hug before stepping back and heading towards Josh. He was shaking his hands in the air to let any of the loose Pyroar furr fly off, as he registered the question being flung his way.

[break][break]"Rode on? No sir, however I can always try my hand at it. Do you just jump on it like a Rapidash? And which one do you think will fit me more?"

[break][break]With that last question he'd goofily throw his hand up to his face, resting his chin in-between his finger and thumb whistle looking off to the side in an exaggeratedly 'cool' fashion.

"Aww, baby you look gorgeous!"

[break][break]Compliments like this still takes time to getting used too, and even more so having a gorgeous woman such as Lani come up and shower him with affection was something he'd never pass up. He couldn't help but melt into her hands, a sheepish grin taking place before he ended up asking his next question for her.

[break][break]"What? And look like some stuffy, big-wig politician? I don't think so."

[break][break]Seeing a hand reaching up for the top of his head, Mateo found himself already lower his head so that se could style and mess with his hair as she pleased. He kept his eyes closed for the process, just enjoying the sound of her voice and nails on his scalp.

[break][break]"...is something more like this."

[break][break]Unfortunately great things don't last long and with her stepping away marking the end of her coddling, Mateo would take his time to stand up straight, his eyes meeting his reflection in the mirror. Curious little head tilts as if he was trying to perceive what it would look like from every angle, Mateo would finally look away from himself with a toothy grin.

[break][break]"Damn Lani, this looks great."

[break][break]He can only guess why idols do it in the first place, but soon the distance between the both of them would shorten again, as her attention moved from his hair to his clothes this time.

[break][break]"In fact, here's your first lesson Mateo."

[break][break]Typically Mateo would take a woman like herself unbuttoning as an act of flirting, however as his eyes bounced from his shirt back to her, it was pretty easy to tell it was anything but.

[break][break] "At Olympus we're gods and goddesses. So there's no need to stress over perfection, for gods and goddesses, are already perfect."

[break][break]"Leilani, 'as anyone ever told you, 'zat you have a way with words."

[break][break]A hint of his accent peaking through as he spoke without any hesitation, in truth this was completely the opposite he had to live by thus far. He had to be perfect, he had to uphold an image for others to follow, and that ideal was fabricated by the families that held the most power. The very idea of him already being perfect was foreign, but it's an idea he'd love to implement to his new life.

[break][break]--And she was right, who would dare to tell them otherwise?

[break][break]The infections sound of her chuckle eased his nerves as he'd laugh a bit with her.

[break][break]"No need to be nervous tonight. You'll be shadowing me. I'll show you how things are done, you just focus on paying attention and enjoying yourself."

[break][break]It was just as he was about to open his mouth to make a remark did she commanded him to sit. Even though he wasn't going to deny her request the giddy way she tried to reinsure him and the gentle squeeze of his hand would have definitely made him fold if not. He'd give her hand a slight squeeze back, before slipping it out from her grasp and sitting down on the chair, already ready by closing his eyes.

[break][break]A reference to a Kalosian painter, he'd eagerly wait for what kind of make up she wanted to give him. It wasn't his first rodeo, though what he was used to getting was to something more akin to stage makeup-- exaggerated do that people from far distances could see it still. At least working with him would've been a breeze.

"Magnus, guy. Some of them call me Maggie."

[break][break]Maggie. In all honesty that name seemed to have completely absorb his thoughts for a solid moment or two. How was he supposed to respond to that? His mind was in a panic during these crucial moments, because how he really wanted to respond was to laugh, or call it cute and for some reason or another, that felt like the wrong answer here.

[break][break]If he had lasted any longer the grin on his face would have probably twitched from how hard he was trying to hold it in, however he was saved by another thought. It was when he was echoing Magnus's words in his head did he focus in--guy. Mateo hadn't introduced himself.

[break][break] "Luck, maybe, but luck means little if you know who to talk to. Lani runs the joint, and me? I just love funding it."

[break][break]"Oh Arceus.."

[break][break]A light cruse at himself as a hand would come up to hide his face in shame. This was supposed to step one of introductions and yet he fucked that up already. Then again where he came from it would be weird if people didn't know his name.

[break][break]"Fuck man, I did you dirty. The name's Mateo and here I wanted to look good for ya'."

[break][break]He couldn't help but laugh, his hand staying at the back of his head as it would ruffle up his hair anxiously. Now came to actually responding to the next part, the man wasn't wrong on the first part and the second was just entirely new information to him. The Leader of Orthrus, the kings of the streets, not being the one that runs the joint? Or was he talking about the club?

[break][break]Silence wasn't Mateo's favourite thing, he was far too used to it back in Kalos and so while he thought he couldn't help but verbalize it, before his hand would drop again, this time resting in his lap.

[break][break]"I had no idea the dynamic was like that, but I think that's pretty amazing you go so far to support her dreams."

[break][break]Possible accusation aside, it doesn't really mattered to Mateo if he thought of him that way. He was simply drawn in by the papering and affection and then completely captured by the possible of excitement. This group would give him something he couldn't get back at home and that was more than enough to treat it seriously.

[break][break]She wasn't trying to hide where he gaze went, that really wasn't in her style and so she decided to lean into it even more. Like Leilani said, they're gods here.

[break][break]As she spoke up she'd throw a half closed hand up onto her cheek, purposefully swinging her elbow in to push her breast towards the other. Honestly if the weight wasn't annoying to deal with he would have went for a longer size, but he trust Leilani's direction, she seemed to have an eye for this sort of thing.

[break][break]"Though I am flattered as these lovely little angels have only grown with time."

[break][break]Lucy never showed on her face the strained attentiveness she was giving Mirabella when she leaned in to whisper in her ear. Her hand on her cheek would slowly lower down from her face, as she waited on Lucien was half expecting her to whisper something about Kalos, or him running, literally anything but what she whispered in his ear next.

[break][break]"Now if want to truly see them. It would be arranged."

[break][break]A slight eyebrow was raised, but would quickly drop as he felt her move away from his--or better yet-- her form. It was perhaps the tension of seeing an old face that would confusing her on where exactly she was, and what exactly she was supposed to be doing. Right now Mira wasn't talking to Lucien of the past, or Mateo of the future, but Lucy.

[break][break]"My~ We're at 'ze wrong facility for 'zat, dearest~"

[break][break]Lucy kept her voice low, making sure to give her little remark as Mira was pulling away. It can get somewhat strict on the physical touch here in Club Olympus, and while getting Mira kicked would definitely get her out of his face, knowing her she'd just kind another way to get to him.

[break][break]Ah, she's annoyed."

[break][break]Probably annoyed was a very light way of putting it, but Lucien had no idea how she showed her anger anymore, especially not after she took off out of Kalos. Honestly, what did she have to be mad about?

[break][break]"My~ If you're looking for a date.. I may be no monster 'r prince, but I'm someone far more special than 'zat. Despite being ra'zer new."

[break][break]But it seemed that they were at the talking phase of their encounter, at least then Lucy can actually continue doing her job. Sliding down the seat some and giving the spot beside her a light pat, she'd lean over and grab the Champaign bottle that was still on the table. She held it like it was a display, even playfully pressing her cheek against the neck of the bottle as she spoke.

[break][break]"I've 'nly been here for a couple weeks, but I know my way around 'ze best drinks~ I'd say 'ur encounter calls for a toast, don't you?"

[break][break]If Mira would agree to such, Lucy would lean over to one of the side displays where some of the glasses were kept, pulling out two pristine flutes, gently laying them out on the table and pouring them each a glass half full. First offering the red head her glass before taking her own.

[break][break]It was a reflective response, the subtle amount of nervousness he had melting away in an instant. Back in Kalos he could remember none of the nobles caring if he was in the middle of something and constantly interrupting him and the last thing he wanted to do was repeat their mistakes. That and look badly to his new family.

[break][break]Still Marshall's grand welcome did help ease Mateo to walk in even further into the warehouse, throwing his hands into his coat pocket as to not have any wondering hands and damage something.

[break][break]"I think I was brought here in my first like.. week."

[break][break]It was contagious the way Marshall enthusiasm was for the place, even Mateo wouldn't contain a grin himself.

[break][break]"Though, if I had a grand welcome like this I would have been visiting far more. Do you guys only repair or do you have rides yourself? Race?"

[break][break]At his question Mateo would point towards one of the bikes the workers pointed out were customer's, which probably meant there were some that weren't probably in the house. Plus back as Lucien he never really seen vehicle races as much as Pokémon racing, would it be different? Faster? More Dangerous? Thrilling? He had a lot of questions if so.

"That's Lani for you. Hot piece of ass here in Olympus, and damn do I like watching it go."

[break][break]It was a quick jab in, something that he mainly said on impulse, but on further thought it said more about his character that he didn't instantly see her that way. Even at his time as Lucien it wasn't like he was completely against viewing people as eye candy, it was just he couldn't allow himself too. Perhaps even as Mateo old happens just die hard.

[break][break]"Jack Magnus. Leader of Orthrus, gang here in Hoenn, and the kings of the streets. And you wanna join, huh?

[break][break]His eyes was on Magnus, just as he made himself comfortable, Mateo noticed he was sitting more on attention. It didn't seem to fit the vibes and in all honesty there was no reason to be so nervous, was this even a formal interview? As a smile grew on his face, he'd find himself leaning in for the handshake, even giving the back of his hand with a light and friendly pat with the other.

[break][break]"Recommendation from Lani is high praise. Why you want in?"

[break][break]Mateo only held his hand in his for as long as the big man wanted, and if Magnus's hand finally loosen to let him go, Mateo would drop into his seat with a carefree air to him. Both of his hands would swing up and rest behind his head, looking up at the corner of the room while he was scanning through a bunch of possible answers that could be acceptable.

[break][break]"If I could be 'onest with ya, Jack-- Or is Magnus better?"

[break][break]He practically cut himself off with that thought, turning his full attention to Magnus to study his reaction, but also give him the respect he needed. His hands idly brushed through his freshly cut hair, trying to get used to the feel of it before he'd drop his arms, throwing them into his pocket and then settling himself in his chair more by throwing his right ankle down on his knee.

[break][break]"Ah, As I was saying. I just thought it'd be dope. Long story, short I ended up here in Heonn without much to my name and this real bell of the ball showed up and really helped me out, but damn!"

[break][break]With that excitement, Mateo threw his hand out from his pocket, and with how he gestured his hand it was almost as if he was auctioneer showing off a piece towards Magnus.

[break][break]"I didn't expect to meet two big names in one night. Is zis what you call Lady luck?"

He wasn't, and the owner of that voice was now standing before Lucy of all people. At least it wasn't hard for him to keep up his convincing girl voice, even in high stress situations such as this.

[break][break]It was really strange, even though they had been separated for exactly the same amount of time, she had barely changed while he did a complete 180. It was still nice to see that she was keeping care of himself, his eyes was scanning over each one of her features before they would eventually land on her chest.

[break][break]"while I'm more than happy to serve you.. I hope you were at least told a head of time, I'm more of a.. special kind of a service."

[break][break]Lucy would play bashfully for Mirabella, her hands coming up to cover her lips and nose as a slight blush would start to glow. Of course if she did somehow recognize him then this wouldn't be a problem... but anything at this point to get her off his back.

For once this wasn't a first, the sight he saw in the mirror with him wearing more formal--more showy clothes was too nostalgic. His hair was longer back then, his face more tired and some how despite it being in the past, more aged. Back then they'd drown him in gold and gems, decorated like a piece of art for the people to idolize, and now with the lack there of--

[break][break]It was a habit when he finally came out to meet up with Leilani Reinhardt, a piece of Lucien coming out as he was constantly adjusting his cuffs and clothing to make sure that he was suitable. However the moment his eyes landed on the dazzling image of his benefactor, the cold and stern expression on his face would melt.

[break][break]That's right, he's Mateo.

[break][break]He's free.

[break][break]"How do I look?"

[break][break]He'd open his arms and then do a little spin, his once out stretched arms moving over to his shirt to pull at it slightly with such over done bravado it just came off as him being goofy than suave. After he was done doing his little act he'd let out a chuckle, brushing a hand through his hair as a poor attempt to comb it back.
