He laughed at Cian’s crack; there was definitely some symbolism there.

“Well, until I see the other djinni, then I’m going to be enjoying myself here!” was his sassy reply; his Braviary was already on the stage and had just plucked out a singular feather from his plumage that was annoying him.

“So yeah,” he added.

“I’m keeping an eye out for any more reports about that storm cloud.”

“What can I say? I’m scouting around for a potentially new non-traditional gimmick to use,” he continued with this smirk on his face.

What the other didn’t know was that the moment he brought out the big guns, it would be… well, wait and see, little Josh!

“Well, you’re getting one of, if not my best-known avians to scrap with,” he continued as the blue-plumed, shiny Braviary came in for a two-point landing, spreading his wings before allowing him to give the Pokémon a chin scratch.

“Yeah, I see what you’re planning, let’s go!” he went on; unable to resist ribbing the other into action.

“Yep… the first time I pulled out the piece of amber that had the little dot inside it, before I went to the museum and brought it back to life—and saw Terra for the very first time,” he continued with this wistful, longing look on his face.

His Lucario was over somewhere else, digging with his paws (and counting this as training in the process) while they were out here, looking through the ground and crushed rock for something—hell, anything that they could bring back.

He frowned at the mention of even her own Pokémon being changed.

“It’s… terrifying, these days. When Terra’s out. I have to keep him inside his Pokéball because he’s gotten way more ruthless lately…”

He sighed afterward.

Okay, there would be one explicit reason why he would be all the way out here.

The moment he realized that the dedushka’s brother was running around the entire place, he knew that—there may be something.

Some-fucking-thing that may have summoned Thundurus all the way out here.

Wonder if the third one’s going to show up… he thought to himself; scouring the back of his memory—because he then belatedly realized that there were now four djinni, not three.

(What in the hell was an Enamorus, anyway? It was just a female… okay, what was the feminine form of djinni? Djinna? He had no idea!)

Either way, he would eventually show up, carrying some paper bags with him that had an absurd amount of fries in them. Because yes, he was hungry.

“Hey,” he would call, waving her way to get his friend’s attention.

“The Swords. All four of them—Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, and surprisingly, Keldeo,” he hummed.

Man, he thought he would fucking nut at the sight of familiar Unovan legendaries, so far from home at the time.

“Oh, and then there was another one of the Tapus… the pink one, I think,” he added as he kept a glare affixed on the danged… Type:Null that had stolen all their bread.

At the younger man’s question, he chuckled.

“Well, seeing as it’s dang near impossible to be blessed by a god—counting into the fact that what if you get a blessing from a being you’re not familiar with or one you don’t like—I’d say that getting along with your Pokémon would happen first.”

He then took several forkfuls of pasta and consumed the food, ready to go for a second serving if need be.

Much as he wanted to be all gung-ho and rush deliberately into the center of the chaos with the Stormbringer accompanying him, he knew that there was a very high chance that other sets of eyes would be watching him.

“You be careful!” he called out once she’d busted out her Noivern and had ridden back up the chasm, before he looked over at Tornadus.

“Quite a mess, isn’t it,” he continued before getting an idea…

Before that, though, he would examine the second Cherish Ball he was holding now, realizing that he had a ‘mockery’ of one of the Swords of Justice with him. Which was plenty strange, all things considered.

Eventually, someone would be soaring above the massive battlefield—hanging by the tail of the Stormbringer himself! While it took a lot of convincing for the dedushka to allow him to do it; if anyone would look up they would spot the Fortree Gym Leader literally flying around while hanging onto the tail of one of the djinnis from Unova, looking like it was absolutely nothing—

Okay. Okay, there was… most everyone.

“Set me down there,” he continued in that same quiet voice; he would have to deal with finding Guillermo Marceliño later because so much had already happened…

“If—if anyone needs help, or healing… allow me,” he went on, before nodding his head in the direction of the djinni, who would cast exactly one sweeping look across the group of injured before raising his hands towards the sky—heralding the activation of their Z-move.

Normally Z-moves were supposed to be flashy to all hell. However he’d made the choice to literally bring one of his favorite Final Fantasy ‘blue magic’ spells from a certain game franchise into real life—while not outright calling it by that name; the fact of the matter was that the wind that was now blowing across the general vicinity of where most everyone had gathered (including but not limited to Miss Elise, Genevieve Cromwell, Isaac Merlo, illeana reyes, and whoever else was nearby this group [which would most likely include DESIREE BLOOMS and Thomas Benoit if they were close enough, among other things) would heal most everyone of their scratches, aches and pains.

And for those who were still up to continue fighting… they (and their Pokémon) would also get a boost in movement speed as well.

↠ Tornadus then used their Z-Move: Stormbringer’s Celerity on everyone within the immediate area for more heals!

What with information being available depending on which level of access was allowed to them, he… to be honest he knew about some of the avatars that were on the side of the League—one of his friends being one of their number.

“You were led down a dark path, it seems,” he managed to say after the exchange.

“But to be fair, you’re not from around here, so that would be a reason why you joined them initially.”

He could only sigh at the mention of good people being trapped in Team Rocket’s ranks.

“How many do you know of? That are looking for a way out?” he ventured further, taking a bite from the food in front of him, to give himself time to think.

“Are they able to make a run for it?”

It wouldn’t take long for the two of them to stumble across something—more like, one of the most recent arrivals to the Sanctuary.

To be honest, he’d been having a lot of problems on just where to put the Heatran, since it was literally the embodiment of living magma and… well, yeah, he would not risk a forest fire of any sort at all!

It had taken several weeks before they had finally decided to have a section of the Sanctuary set aside for ‘hot springs’ for Pokémon; although there were also plans for a human-sized version of the hot springs… all things considered.

“Oh, whoa, what the—” he trailed off as he saw a blazing pillar of fire in the distance. “Oh, boy…” he continued with a sigh as he realized just which Pokémon had done that attack…

“What did I tell you about using Magma Storm in the middle of the field?!” he called over to where the Heatran was, lounging in the ‘fire pit’ where they temporarily resided.

The Salamence roared, before noticing that the two Pokémon were going after the Braviary—trying to knock the other out of the air with their two-force attack.

It was like the two Pokémon on his side of the field had read each other’s minds and were like ‘oh, not today!’; as the Salamence suddenly went soaring down towards the ground, baring his electrified maw as he tried to take a bite out of the Vaporeon with Thunder Fang!

Up on topside, the Braviary let out another genuine squawk of surprise; before realizing that there were two attacks headed his way! While the Muddy Water he would take; there was no way in hell he was going to let the Aqua Tail swat him down—

And right as the Carracosta came screaming up at him; he would attempt to grab the other Pokémon in his claws before soaring into the heavens with a Sky Drop attack!

“One day, Temp… you’ll realize that you were on the wrong side of everything,” he continued—but quietly, to himself. How had shit ended up like this…

Braviary and Salamence are out on the field!

Salamence flying down low to try and bite the Vaporeon with Thunder Fang; while Braviary tanks the Muddy Water, he will meet the Carracosta with a Sky Drop once the other Pokémon is close enough in an attempt to counter the Aqua Tail attack!
