DUO WILD: PSYCHIC / GHOST

momo was just as surprised by the gholdengo's appearance as ashley was. up close, the pokemon was a lot larger than momo realized, and she couldn't help but think of those inflatable objects in front of stores or car dealerships, waving with the wind. only this gholdengo didn't wave—it threw coins to and from, making some sort of strange display in front of the two girls. [break][break]

"what a funny guy!" momo mused aloud. and she laughed when ashley joined in on the fun, flicking the coins right back at the gholdengo! it seemed very pleased with her, and the coordinator couldn't help the audible "awww!" that escaped her lips as the young girl and the gold pokemon seemed to get along like old friends! [break][break]

momo almost missed the second pokemon in the vicinity as a result: a curious drakloak that seemed to want to play, too. momo waved at the passing dragon pokemon, and returned her attention to ashley. "it's so nice that the gholdengo wanted to go with you! let's go find even more ghosts to play with!" [break][break]

the coordinator wanted a ghost-type pokemon of her own, but she was a tad bit picky as she wanted only cute pokemon on her roster! that said, there were still plenty of ghosts left to go! what else would they find out here on mt. pyre? [break][break]

"oh, okay, you have a point." they certainly would cover more ground if they split up. and before momo had the chance to ask about a steed, josh summoned a galarian rapidash for momo's use. now that was a steed she was used to seeing! she'd ridden the kantonian variant of this pokemon many times before. with a nod, she mounted the galarian rapidash, and listened to josh's instructions. [break][break]

"alright, i'll do my best. thank you," she said, repeating her gratitude from before as it feels like she'll never stop being grateful for his help. she glanced down at dashie the galarian rapidash and gently ran a hand through the psychic horse's mane. "thank you, too. let's go find some pokemon!" [break][break]

she broke off from josh, and headed eastward. there was a faint glow of energy on the galarian rapidash's horn, and momo followed that detection of psychic residue. she brought out the rest of her current team: velvet the ribombee, silque the sylveon, and starz the shiinotic. silver the grovyle was still following their lead, and she told all of them to split up but stay close, as well. [break][break]

it was then that dashie grunted, taking momo in the direction of a strong psychic energy. there, she cried out at the sight of a familiar friend: leaf the bulbasaur! "you're here! leaf, are you okay?" but it seemed that the bulbasaur was completely unharmed, if not asleep due to some powerful use of hypnosis, likely from the hypno. as she held the bulbasaur in her hands, she gently placed a kiss on it, before returning him back to his poke ball. one pokemon down, a few more to go![break][break]

"alright!" momo huffs quietly, getting serious as she watches maki with rapt attention. the initial movements seem easy enough to follow, and momo replicates them to the best of her ability. she feels not too unlike a baby ducklett following a mother swanna, imitating the movements of flight in her best effort to fly on her own, someday. in between practiced motions, momo smiles, her eyes trailing after maki's figure—inspired, happy, eager to learn. [break][break]

she hardly notices that maki's expression falls into something more focused, more attentive, as the session goes on. the sound of their breathing and footsteps the only intermittent noise within the silence. [break][break]

"an invitation to dance? that's so sweet!" momo tries to copy the mime, hands above her head, twirling them briefly as maki had shown, though perhaps with a little too much enthusiasm than what the other had displayed. "how's this?" [break][break]

"hehe, i can definitely help you make something, too! want me to show you the ropes? it takes a bit of learning, but i'm sure you'll get the hang of it!" she remembered when she first started out, too. it was difficult, but fun at first, and as she became a coordinator, her skills in sewing and accessorizing became very useful. now, she reveled in the fact that she could share her craft, and with such an enthusiastic and cute young lad, as well! she motioned for asher to sit on one of the chairs at the sewing table, and opened various drawers that had materials in it. "i can show you how to make just about anything! what's your vision?" [break][break]

a houndoom here, a wyrdeer there, eevolutions all the way over there! it was exciting to see such a various spread of pokemon, all of them larger than life and much larger than their standard-sized counterparts that momo was used to seeing. under the moonlight, it felt like a super romp with all the pokemon and people around. to think that shalin was used to such dizzying rides! [break][break]

as they raced towards the lake, momo saw just how fast the ultra beast was, and how shalin's expression became hard and focused as she maintained balance on her ride. the coordinator already thought it was a challenge staying on the persian, so she couldn't imagine a much more difficult ride like a pheremosa. [break][break]

they reached the lake, and the water reflected a shimmering light from the moon above them, more pokemon dashing in and around the water. "sooo cool!" momo cheered, then caught her breath once the persian had slowed down, and came to a leisurely stroll along the water's edge. she turned to the ranger and said, "thanks so much for letting me ride serena, shalin!"

yup, i love naming my pokemon! i try to give them cute nicknames or something related to the type of pokemon they are!

i really loved the song titled 'killer'! oracelies has such a rich voice and wonderful musicality, though, so the entire album is a banger! i really liked the instrumentals in that particular song, too!

SOLO WILD: ELECTRIC / WATER

several pokemon had come to play with momo and her friends over the next few hours. and it was a lot of fun, too! between building sand castles, hunting for seashells, and eating barbecue (fruit and veggies only, of course!), the beach day had been a smashing success! [break][break]

the coordinator had said goodbye to many of the wild pokemon, so by the time she's ready to leave, her own party are following after her like a trail of ducklett following a swanna. [break][break]

"that was super fun, everyone! i can't wait to do it some other time—hold up." she stops in her place, and her pokemon all stare at her curiously, wondering what had happened. "why are there seven of you?" [break][break]

she does a headcount: tinkaton, buizel, polteageist, appletun, minun, spheal, rotom... [break][break]

wait, spheal? momo blinks. this spheal had been with them earlier, playing happily in the sand. now it's rolling with the rest of momo's crew, like it's always been her pokemon and it belongs on her team. well, it's come all this way on its own, so momo doesn't think she could send it home as it is... "alright, come on! you're one of us now, spheal!" [break][break]

(and later on, momo will put the round seal pokemon in a poke ball to make it official, but for now, it just makes her so happy that he wanted to come along, anyway! what a sweetie!) [break][break]

SOLO WILD: ELECTRIC / WATER

fuji the appletun hums, its head rising slowly into the air. momo gasps, "do you see a friend somewhere?" and looks around. then, further down the shore, she spots it: a wild minun, playing with her own minun, the two of them jumping around in the sand and avoiding the water. [break][break]

momo's eyes widen and she claps her hands together, cooing over the minuns. "they're sooo cute! it's okay, fuji, we can let them play for a little longer. let me snap a picture though..." her rotomphone comes out, and takes some pictures of her pokemon playing by the sea. how picturesque, how perfect! [break][break]

(and when the wild minun eventually leaves, momo waves it goodbye, together with pepper who looks like she has tears in her eyes.) [break][break]

SOLO WILD: ELECTRIC / WATER

today is the perfect day: the sun is shining, the sands are paling, and the waters are waving before dissipating as warm sea foam at momo's feet. the route nearby evergrade city is as beautiful as always, and even this late in the year hoenn is warm and sunny. which means that today is the perfect day because it's a beach day for momo and her pokemon! [break][break]

she wishes she could bring all her pokemon at once, but not even the coordinator is confident in her abilities to keep that many friends under control at once. and that's why she's planned out multiple days to play at the beach this week, with different friends attending different days! today, she's brought aimi the tinkaton, boey the buizel, rose the shiny polteageist, fuji the appletun, pepper the minun, and rem the shiny rotom! [break][break]

her shiny ghosts are possessing buckets and shovels, forming a sand castle but giggling all the while. meanwhile, aimi is tossing rocks into the air and hitting them with her hammer, trying to hit the flying wingulls in the distance but missing (thankfully). boey is swimming in the shallows, with pepper squealing nearby as she stands near the water, but then runs away before the tide can wash over her feet. only fuji the appletun, gentle and calm, remains by momo's side, the two of them seated on a beach towel, a bright pink-and-white umbrella casting shade over them. [break][break]

she pats her little head, and says, "everyone's really enjoying themselves, hehe! d'you think that some wild friends will come join us, too?" [break][break]
