The weather is getting warmer, so Tai decides to take a nice walk on the beach. Despite his charming looks he often blends into the area, meaning he’s hoping nothing will bother him on his walk. A new Pokemon for his team might be nice, though, so he keeps an eye out for that!

Like forging hot metal, Tai applies the heat and pressure to the weakening shield by commanding his Pokemon to the best of his ability. While he considers himself ingenuine in how he operates with people, his bond with his Pokemon is something real and true. It shows how they battle and fight together. Typhlosion's eerie flame grows as the battle goes on, syncing well with Duraludon and Mawile in slowly chipping away the enemy’s strength. [break][break]
His boss sings his praises while Tai is focused on the target ahead, locked in, like a hunter ready to hunt its prey. This time Tai gives no verbal command, instead snapping his fingers and his three Pokemon recognize the sound, immediately getting into formation. A couple more good hits? Nonsense. He only needed one. [break][break]
“Do it.”[break][break]
Duralon LEERS straight at it's opponent, remaining stationed right where it is. Mawile braces itself in a runner’s position while Typhlosion is right behind her. Heat builds in its belly and FLAMETHROWER powers through his lungs and shoots out of his mouth, propelling the Mawile forward just like a comet in the sky. Mawile sheens briefly with a metallic coating till it focuses entirely on her cranial area. She launches herself into the shield with a nose shattering IRON HEAD.

Tai doesn’t have many Pokemon in his possession but he might as well do as he’s told. There’s no other options otherwise. He sends out the fearsome Duraludon and the mysterious Typhlosion that doesn’t seem to be from this time period. Where’d he acquire a Pokemon like that? Tai Liu is shrouded in mystery for sure. For now he watches his superior take charge and their difference in power is staggering. He still had a lot to learn not only as an officer but a trainer as well. Still, Dynamax was nothing to fear. He’d face this head on just as everything else.[break][break]
“Typholosion, use infernal parade! Duraludon, follow with flash canon!”[break][break]
A myriad of ghost-like fireballs aim straight at the foe, while the blinding light of flash canon heads for the target. Its brightness does well in masking the projectile flames. [break][break]
And while the light blinds, Mawile comes up and lets out a fierce gust of FAIRY WIND to deliver massive, surprise damage.

Sadly, Tai doesn’t have much time to truly take in his surroundings and embed it into memory. Within a blink in the eye the situation turns dire. An ominous pink glow fills the room and sends a shiver down his spine, but the officer smiles in the face of danger, welcomes it even. [break][break]
Mawile’s jaw snaps in anger, ready to fight despite the danger being off the charts, mimicking her trainer’s inner desire for a fight. When a spike gets too close to her trainer and his superior officer, it’s massive jaw bites down and breaks it in half cleanly, like cutting into a stick of butter rather than solid stone.[break][break]
It's a good thing Mawile isn’t his only ace in the hole, either.[break][break]
“I’ll take you up on that offer, Navy. It doesn’t reflect very well on me leaving you down here. We’re in this together, just tell me what to do.”

He heeds the older man’s warning and stays close, the same goes for his Mawile. Not only is it dark, but the entire place sends a chill down his space. An abandoned space with a knack for breeding trouble. There’s enough pressure to break his neck if he were to step the wrong way. One wrong move here and it could be fatal. [break][break]
Truth be told, going deep down in here just the two of them felt a little foolish — but who was he to disregard orders from a superior? That wouldn’t look good.[break][break]
“Honestly, no. I’ve been off the grid for awhile, engrossed in a previous case. So I didn’t have time to check in with recent events.” In general, Tai tends to be out of touch with people and the world that houses them. “What’s happened in Dewford?”

While he was no PICASSO, Tai Liu had an appreciation for the fine arts. The art that SMERAGLE create was no exception. Some of these Pokemon had real talent, while others mere scribbles were simply endearing to watch be made. Seems like these ones are more powerful than the rest, too. He’s heard they’ve been causing quite the commotion. Hopefully, the officer can observe these Pokemon instead of being sent as damage control.[break][break]

“Mawile has been with me the longest, but she can be a little difficult to handle.”[break][break]
Meaning, the steel type only listens to Tai and is jealous if anyone else tries zoning in on her territory. With the threat now exterminated, Tai and Pokemon follow his superior inside the elevator. [break][break]
Descending down into the unknown, oddly enough the mechanical whirl of the elevator is like music to his ears. The ginger leans his back against the side, enjoying the ride. Mawile sticks close to his side, practically glued to it but he’s used to it by now.[break][break]
The lighting is limited down here, but there’s a sheen to his silver eyes. One that carries unreadable emotion. Same for the smile on his face.[break][break]
“You could say I’m a lot like the steel-type. Under enough pressure I might bend, but I'll never break.” [break][break]
As they approach the bottom floor Tai sets a gloved hand atop the Mawile’s black head, calming her with ease. Did she sense more Pokemon perhaps?

Covered in snow flurries, those bits of sparkling white compliment her long pink hair. That and her gentle scolding (if he could even consider it that) tug a genuine smile onto his lips. “I’m having fun already, believe it or not! After all, It’s not often that I get to see snowfall in Hoenn.”[break][break]
His little Mawile sees this interaction and nearly seethes, if not for all this snow to cool her fiery temper. She’s been scolded heavily by Tai before to control her jealousy, and this time she’ll make an attempt. Perhaps she’ll befriend the perky trainer’s Vulpix instead..[break][break]
He packs more snow against the mound he works on. It’s lumpy and misshapen, like a child made it. “You’re welcome to join us. But I'm not used to working with snow. How am I doing?"[break][break]

An officer’s work is never done. Though, Tai has a knack for making his schedule unusually free. Despite working diligently when given a task he’s a true slacker at heart. But, he can’t think of a better way to spend his afternoon other than with the beautiful woman before him.[break][break]
Once set on the table, the detective wastes no time digging into his complimentary snack and drink. The perfect combination of bitter and sweet. But he waits to swallow his helping before speaking again, he’s not completely without manners (no matter what his colleagues say about him!)[break][break]
“Not at all, xinh.” He says softly with a visible wink, while a smile forms hidden behind the sweet pastry in hand.[break][break]
