Rocks oozing with an ancient power crush the illumise into the ground. It manages to wiggle out and a loud bug buzzing sound fills the air. For those close enough, like Rampardos, the sound was near ear-deafening. When the sound subsides it launches another volley of ancient power infused earth.

The attack that would transpire was on par with no other attack that the Petalburg woods had seen that day.

Aerodactyl's skin bulges and tears as its bone structure alters. Rocky segments of cartilage break out across its body and its hide turns rock hard. In its mouth a ball of light forms. It starts as the size of a baseball and grows at a monumental pace. When it peaks the contents breaks free. A hyper beam shoots out from its maw and makes an impact with the bug pokemon.

When the dust clears and the sound of splitting wood dies down a newly found crater is what lies before Lucas. The venations in pinsir's wings have rocks jutting through them, leaking blood on the soil.

Lucas points a glock at pinsir and pulls the trigger, shooting i- wait a second someone got in the way. Oh god oh fuck Bailey Cooper got shot. He screwed her over again.

Lucas put a Glock to the Dwebble's head and pulls the trigger.

Lucas picks up a metallic burger wrapper from the ground. There's a clam shell image printed on it, and the words beneath it read "Krusty Krab." Further beneath it, there's a mention of a contest where the top winners could meet the restaurant's founder, Mr. Krabs.

Pulling a small bag from his coat pocket Lucas carefully put the garbage away. When he looks back up he's surprised to find a crustle blocking his path. It stares at him with an angry look in its eyes. Without skipping a beat the Kabutops that walked alongside Lucas musters up an ancient power to attack the pokemon. It withdraws in fright, allowing another wave of ancient power to clatter against its body.

The forest is rendered asunder from the ancient power. It's sent pumping through the ground with each stomp of the Kabutop's feet. Armaldo does the same, mimicking the Kabutop's movements as it too pumps ancient power through the earth.

When the dust settles both prehistoric pokemon lay fainted among the rubble.

Dewpiders were known to leave the water in search of food, and this one was no exception. When it wanders across the footpath it did so in search of a meal to fill its tiny belly. Instead what it found was a pokemon much bigger than itself. A kabutops that would be having it food instead.

The dewpider attempts to head back the way it came but finds itself blocked off. Rocks that oozed an ancient power form a stone henge formation around it. They close in around it with astonishing speed. As Dewpider attempts to muster up an aqua ring its bubble is popped, leaving it gasping for air.

Fairies were an integral part of Galarian folklore. Some areas even spoke of a king and queen, Oberon and Titania, that would rule over them. Lucas had no doubt that such stories were just that, stories. Unlike mateo martinez or Noelle Lane he wasn't one to believe in fairy tales.

The head scientist nearly squashes the ribombee with ancient power, courtesy of Kabutops. An intoxicating sweet scent fills the air. It does little to a pokemon that was brought to life by science. One that had no ties to fairy tales.

The homeless population was really out of control. So much so that that they even reached his house! Lucas was astonished to find one in his very house!

The head scientist couldn't even get the dishes collected from his banger party without them getting in his way. "Uh yeah, yes?" He held a leaning tower of pizza built from an assortment of snack bowls and dishes. When Noelle tugs his arm it teeters in her direction. "Don't you live nearby or something Noelle? When did you get the clothes?" Lucas could have sworn she hadn't brought a bag in.

"We'll probably just catch them. Violent pokemon are relocated, while rare ones will probably find some use within the league." Lucas waves an arm through a section of web strung at head height.

When Noelle jumps in freight Lucas whips around. There's concern is in his eyes despite his body being tense. "You okay?" When Noelle goes on about her the spider webs he turns back.

"Oh, I'm a scientist for the League." His face lit up at the question. "I've been working there about a year now. I got the chance to study and work on these things called mega stones. You know about mega stones?" As the head scientist joyfully talked about himself and his work a new noise could be heard in the powerplant. The sound of something scurrying across the tile.

Lucas is too wrapped up in talking about himself to notice the sound. It began quiet, no louder than their own footsteps. But as the webs grew larger so did the sound.
