Dusk inched its way across the landscape as the sun retreated. With it came sweeping silence as trainers left for the night and pokemon burrowed into their holes.

It was a common evening on the route. There were few people about besides Lucas, most being the occasional jogger on their way back to town.

The head scientist stood strong despite the incoming threat. Aegislash materialized, a near immediate King's Shield is thrown up. Blue light is cast upon the ground as the stray light of Guzzlord's hyper beam passed through it.

Red light engulfs Lucas in response to Victini's plea. Claydol and a genetically altered glalie materialize in the air. The temperature plummeted in response to the ice type's appearance as chill oozed from its mouth.

No matter the difficulties.

"No matter what, protect Victini!" He barked, his voice just loud enough to be heard by the aerodactyl floating overhead. Aegislash surged forward in the direction of the legendary, while Glalie, Aerodactyl, Cofagrigus, and Claydol began to channel their attacks from afar.

No matter what obstacles.

The temperature fell further as Glalie released freeze dry from its gaping maw. Lucas' breath now visible despite winter's passing. Far behind freeze dry hyper beam cut cleanly through the air, aimed at the mega beast's tough hide.

You will never give up.

Blue transparent walls blink into existence in the area of Victini, growing as fast as the coffin pokemon was able. The paint adorning its sarcophagus cracked and fell away as it overexerted itself. Everything it had went into the trick room. At the corner of the room Aegislash passed as it rushed towards Victini, King's Shield at the ready. At the same time small cracks began to form in the ground in the surrounding area behind Victini. Yellow light flashed from within its depths.

Held aloft by psychic Lucas felt a sense of liberation from the situation at hand. There was nothing more to do than place his trust within the newly manifested pokemon. The air around it rippled as heat waves wash over it and lash out at the mega beast.

Lucas' body is propelled through the air by Victini, landing safely by a crumbled family business. Moments later an all too familiar voice rang through his head.

"Hope is not lost. We can win this! Victor is in sight. Do not give up. We will triumph."

His heart raced as he released an aerodactyl and Cofagrigus.

"Osiris shadow ball, Shu Hyper Beam!"

Lucas barked the commands. His attention is entirely directed towards bringing down the beast.
