Using one of the grabbers Lucas leans over, picking up one of the toys modeled after Fernando. Gum and grime stick to its surface and clog its joints. He looks it over for a split moment before releasing it from the tool's grip. It falls into the trash bag with a ruffle of plastic.

At the sound of Priam's voice Lucas stops picking up trash. Instead turning his attention towards the rocket beast. "Hey my man." The grabber tool passes to his left hand with the garbage bag. "About time you showed." He holds out his right hand to fist bump Priam.

"Holy shit." He hadn't had any part in the creating choosing of these robots, so Lucas had no clue how truly big they'd be in person. The amount of destructive force behind just one malfunctioning robot was astonishing. Whichever company the league contracted for the Mauville restart project is likely never going to see another government contract again.

Lucas takes an exasperated sigh when Bailey's pokemon charges in before the group could make a plan or even observe the robot. "Minun," he thinks for a moment before calling out a move. He needed something not detrimental to their team. "Nasty plot."

Behind the party's metagross minun stood, its beady eyes following the robot as it came up with a nasty plot for how it'd go down. Maybe there was a backdoor in the robot they could stuff an electrode through? The possibilities that went through its head were both wild and endless.

There was a reason why Lucas wasn't a pokemon trainer.[break][break]

While he helped the fight he equally hindered it. Poor planning results in attacks becoming obsolete. Fire that threatens to turn the ground to lava is put out in an instant. In its place an icy wonderland, courtesy of Glalie.[break][break]

The head scientist has little time to question his place and true intentions in the battle. All around him the ground shook with terrifying intensity. His surroundings change in a near instant as he's thrown to the ground. Aerodactyl swoops through the air towards Lucas. It rushes to pluck him off the fracturing ground.[break][break]

Glalie found itself thrown around like a bouncing ball as the earthquake rages. As it'd stabilize it unhinges its massive jaws, another terrifying glaciate spewing across the battlefield.[break][break]

All Lucas' other pokemon have a wild time flopping around the ground. Shit was baller. To show guzzlord how much of a good time they have they go all out. Attacks fly towards the mega beast once the other rave goers move out of the way. [break][break]

With a deep breath Lucas takes in the salty smell of the sea. It was intoxicating, a sharp contrast to what lay before him. Trash as far as the eye could see. With no League to enforce the law effectively the beach became a dumping area for people's trash during the Rocket occupation.

Patiently he waits by the volunteer stand. Garbage bags, gloves, and water bottles are spread across a plastic table. Several grabbing tools lean against the table. Shifting his weight from leg to leg Lucas waits. Occasionally pieces of trash catch his eye. One even sends a shiver down his spine.

Energy gushes out of Lucas' body, pouring out of ever pore in his body. It sends him to the ground, writhing from a pain beyond comprehension. It eats away at Lucas for what he perceives as an eternity. Willow flickers in his mind for a moment before he finally succumbs to unconsciousness. [break][break]

Lucas returns from his experience beyond death, rejuvenated and brimming with power. On his feet Lucas redirects the power into Glalie and Aerodactyl without a thought. Unlike the raw energy Lucas experienced before this one was refined and in its purest form. It rewrites their DNA, turning the two into apex predators the like of the worlds never seen. [break][break]

Heat courses through the entirety of the scientist's body despite the absolute zero temperature. Stepping forward the ice would melt beneath his foot. Steam rising into the air. "Stay strong!" Lucas echoes the fleeting words of Victini. "We stood against Rocket, and we'll stand against this!"[break][break]

A roar erupts among the two primal pokemon. Jaw hanging open primal glalie releases a blizzard the likes of which hadn't been seen since the ice age. Blasting through the Spring air it'd glaciate anything in its path. Closely following behind was a ray of frost. Any rubble it blasted through ice sprang from in giant clusters.[break][break]

The very ground the city stood on began to splinter, rising into the air at the primal King's call. Shooting through the air towards Guzzlord as the ground began to engulf it they line its hide. The pattern mirrors Aerodactyl's own hide. Behind him Lucas feels the ground quake and crack, as the ground beneath the city gives way once more. Buildings are carried into the air atop a section of the cities down town. It comes crashing down into Guzzlord. Further pushing it into the ravine Steelix built before the steel type sealed it in with its own body.[break][break]

Lucas watched as a fragment of Victini's dwindling flames broke off. At first he tried to ignore it, as if it were nothing. But as time crawled forward he noticed it was flying directly towards him.[break][break]

"This is it," he thought. The punishment for his sins, for letting Victini pass away. Saving the girl wasn't enough to repent, a part of him had known that. Death was the only way to repent for his mistakes. He looked towards the flame in his final moments. He felt no fear, but instead a sense of longing. To be with the part of him that'd be wrenched away.[break]

"Willow, where are you?" The nine year old called out. No response.[break]
"Willow, come on out!" Silence.[break]
"Willow!" All that responded was the echo of his own voice, carried back to him.[break]
"Willow?" His voice cracked, and again no response.[break][break]

He slid down the wall, tears and snot streaming down his prepubescent face. Through a locked door he heard the voice of his father. "You're not getting her back."[break][break]

The glamoew he'd cherished was thrown away while he was away at a piano lesson. She was too much of a distraction from his studies they said. That he'd be more successful in life without her. They'd said the same about his friends too.[break][break]

Head down and arms wrapped around his legs Lucas sat there for hours in his room. He blocked out anything his parents had tried to tell him since that moment when he came home.[break][break]

Long after his tears had ran out and the sun had gone down there was a scratch at his window. At first he ignored it, mistaking it for the sound of his father's knuckles wrapping against his door once more. But it grew more persistent. To the point that he stomped his way to the door, and flung it open.[break][break]

"Leave me alone!"[break][break]

No one was standing at the doorway. Frustrated he slammed the door shut, and turned to see a shape in his window. It was Willow.[break][break]
