The rural beaches of route 128 was indeed a bit far than intended, but Zachary had wanted to explore the more beautiful scenes of the ocean. As a person from Johto, he had flown in and took the train to get to Hoenn. But now, he was traveling Hoenn like a real trainer did. While the winds of war were on the horizon, shown by Rocket's constant attacks on people-- he had to take a break from it all . For a couple of days and so decided to go to the beach. [break][break] Zachary kept to the sandbars, but already he had his Pokemon out. Especially a very enthused, lady Pokemon whom was happy to go splashing around. [break][break] "Mmmrrruk" Zachary's Milotic cried in glee as she swam happily in the open ocean. Cetus had been raised in the caves of Meteor falls-- and so now free to swim anywhere, she loved time in the open water. With him, was his best friend Dizzy the Delphox-- who kept a safe distance from the water for the time being. There were few things the Delphox liked, but water was something he just didn't like. Last time he rode on Cetus back he was scared stiff. Further, Zachary had a few other Pokemon with him on the beach! Nyx, his now trusty Hoothoot. A Spriggatito he named Morganna, who froliced along the sands and sea water. Lastly-- was the oddest of all-- his Slowking Calypso-- and the Oranguru Jumanji. [break][break] Those two were like fire and ice-- as the two were in some kind of game involving sea shells and lines in the sand as they tried to outwit one another. Whenever those two got into a challenge, nothing could stop them. [break][break] Zachary watched as the water splashed as his Pokemon played, taking time to enjoy themselves too. Still, Dizzy kept him company, not exactly thrilled to be by the water. [break][break] "Dizzy, you should try to enjoy the water too. I know as a fire type you are not exactly good with it, but there is no harm to splash around in the shallows a bit. You're not a Charizard. You won't be at risk if your tail gets wet." Zachary tried to encourage his Pokemon to have fun. [break][break] Dizzy just vigorously shook his head, not wanting to play in the water. [break][break] "But don't you want to play with the others? You should have some fun too. I know you hate to get your fur messy, but still..." Zachary said, patting the fox on the head. [break][break]

Zachary chuckled at Razz's Meowstic sudden lunge to his trainer, loving the way the cat was so affectionate to him. He received soon a similar 'tackle' from his Hoothoot and the stray Meowstic there, concerned he was okay. "Guys, I'm fine. Thanks..." he laughed as the fur and feathers tickled him. [break][break] Dizzy shared Razz's feelings about being 'incepted' like that and rose up with a grumpy bark. As they would look into the room-- instead of the finely decorated blue room they saw in the dream-- it had been reduced to a torn, abandoned small parlor, with other doors that led out of it. Whatever was in there that put them under Hypnosis was gone. Likely it had retreated deeper into the house. [break][break] The Meowstic gave a concerned cry-- perhaps nervous as to that was what caused such problems in its home. [break][break] As Zachary got back to his feet, he was glad that Razz was okay too-- and that his Haunter, Greed, was such a clever Pokemon. He reached up and patted the Haunter on the head, earning a chuckle from the ghost. Rolling his eyes, Zachary took out an Apple from his bag-- which made the Haunter's eyes widen with glee. [break][break] "Go on... you earned it," Zachary urged as he tossed the apple up. Haunter snatched it out of the air with his jaws and munched on it happily! [break][break] [break][break] As Greed enjoyed his treat, he looked to Razz. "I think its safe to say that Pokemon that pulled the whool over our eyes is further in. Probably not far either but we should have our Pokemon close by to keep us safe, okay? " Zachary suggested, and looked to one in particular he had. A certain blank-staring Xatu who was in the back of their party. "Hey, Prophet? You up for a little investigation?" [break][break] The Xatu snapped into alert, and soon hopped forward. The Xatu was unlike most, while some would just stare all day, this one was surprisingly lively. A rather odd-bird by nature, even when it was a Natu. [break][break] With that, they began to press on into the room-- and into the nearby hallways that laid beyond the beaten room. [break][break]

The poison type from the first attacker was indeed a danger, as he used his own power to block the Psyshock. The result led however to a rather bad disadvantage. Zachary now faced that , and the lady's Dark-Terastellized Seviper. A clever combo! Zachary was easily thrown off by the surprise attack. Even as they attacked, Team Rocket was now in force. It was clear they were now gunning after any league trainers with force now! It was slowly becoming a war![break][break] It was then that Arbock erupted from the ground and attack, knocking into Dizzy and striking hard! Zachary was blindsided by the sudden attack from the trainer himself-- wielding a knife. [break][break] Dizzy was shocked by the attack of the digging snake-- and was about to respond-- but was soon stopped as suddenly the Dark-Seviper acted! In a quick jump the snake WRAPPED around the Fox, tieing the Psychic Fox up! Dizzy gave a sharp yelp, now immobilized by the sneaky snake! [break][break] "A pity. Looks like you are just another dime-a-dozen trainer who thinks the world of himself..." she said as Asher moved in! [break][break] However-- [break][break] "KIR!!" Kirlia cried as he jumped in front of Asher, knocking Zachary out of the way! [break][break] Zachary tumbled to the ground, Nyx now fluttering in the air as she hooted angrily at Asher and the Seviper! The fight was in complete chaos as Zachary recovered, seeing Kirlia having taken the hit. Though a human attack, a blow was still a blow as the poor Kirlia desperately protected his trainer and friend. [break][break] "Surrender now, little boy. Do so, and we will treat you as a prisoner of war. There is little point of resisting. You are out numbered," the woman hissed. [break][break] Zachary gritted his teeth. He couldn't let his pokemon suffer-- and Dizzy now caught in the Seviper's grasp made things even more hopless. But Kirlia soon began to shout-- both telling off the woman, warning the rocket assassin-- and trying to encourage Zachary not to give up. [break][break] In the Kirlia's mind-- it loved Zachary and his friends. The moment they met, he had always worked to support and protect those he cared about. Even long before their encounter in the woods, Kirlia provided assistance to needy pokemon. But this was enough. It couldn't just support them anymore-- he wanted to fight and stand up against those who would dare hurt his friends. [break][break] Kirlia trembled, a stray tear in his eye as he soon let out a fierce cry of rebellion! [break][break] And then it happened... [break][break] A bright light suddenly glowed off Kirlia-- blinding the surrounding area with its emegerence. Zachary looked on, equally surprised. "Kirlia?!" Zachary shouted, but the flash made him look away. [break][break] Kirlia stood between Zachary and Asher as its glowing form shifted-- transformed. Its body became taller and leaner-- longer arms extending out. It took on a humanoid shape, being no taller than a human. [break][break] The light soon faded-- to reveal that the Kirlia had evolved, now becoming a Gallade!" [break][break] "Whoh... Kirlia evolved..." Zachary gasped as he got out his Pokedex. [break][break] [break][break] Gallade stood resolute before the Rocket members, surprising them too. [break][break] "Wha... it evolved in the middle of a fight?" Yew said, surprised. [break][break] "Analysis complete. New moves verified in target Gallade. Zachary's Pokedex spoke, informing him his entire moves had changed. While Zachary had no idea what his new Gallade could do-- Gallade was about to use his new power to protect his trainer and his pokemon friends. [break][break] "Grrrrrr!" Gallade snarled at Asher with a sharp leer of his eyes, warning him to go away. He may have had a knife-- but that would be nothing compared to a Blade Pokemon's edge. [break][break] "Enough! Gorgon-- CRUNCH!" The disguised Yew shouted, and the Seviper prepared to sink its sharp jaws into Dizzy![break][break] "Dizzy-- No!!" Zachary cried. [break][break] In that instant, Gallade took action. In a blink of speed, Gallade was right on top of Seviper and mid-air. While no attack-- Seviper delivered a swift kick with its stronger legs-- hitting the Seviper in the face to stop the CRUNCH. [break][break] Using that chance, Zachary got out his pokeball for Dizzy! "Dizzy, return!" Zachary cried, firing the beam of the Pokeball. Dizzy soon vanished in a flow of light, freeing him from the WRAP and keeping him safe inside his Pokeball. Now it was all on Gallade. [break][break] It was then it raised its arm out-- and as if in a stretch or pose, it began to psych itself up! With a dramatic pose before both the two Rocket enemies, finishing with a dramatic stomp and shove of its arms. [break][break] Suddenly, flashes of sword-shape light surrounded him, as if to empower his moves! Sword Dance had taken shape, and now had powered up Gallade to take on both foes! [break][break]

As they talked, Dizzy got closer and gave a friendly bark-- prompting Zachary to pet the fox's head. The question made Zachary pause as he thought. "I had an... eventful encounter, and my first gym challenge. But all in all, doing my part. I want to apply to the minor leagues to become a Gym Leader myself but... I feel I have more growth to do. I had my share of both wins and losses," Zachary said as they walked. [break][break] It soon got darker, and Zachary was growing tired and hungry. There were still no signs of the 'beasts' they were meant to encounter. After a heavy sigh, Zachary turned to Lou. "Why don't we set up camp. I should show you some of my other Pokemon too?" Zachary offered. The Hoothoot on Zachary's shoulder gave a happy coo as she flapped her feathers, happy. [break][break] Finding a nice side of the road, Zachary and his friends set up a small camp. Though still with a job to do, they had to still eat and keep up their strength. Zachary and Dizzy easy set a fire, and with it, Zachary allows his other pokemon to appear. Among them beyond the Delphox, Hoothoot, and Mime Jr-- was Umbreon, Anubis, who kept guard like a loyal guardian. Lastly was an adorable little Meowstic who greeted Lou with an adorable 'meow'. [break][break] It was clear how much Zachary's pokemon loved him and were open to people, showing how well he raised them beyond just for battle. [break][break] "Hey lou, do you know Josh Devlin by chance? He and I become good friends and travel companions. I been working with him and trying to learn what kind of person a Gym Leader has to be. How do you feel about the position?" he asked. As they talked, Happy gave a happy little greeting to Lou's Psyduck, holding his little head as if it was some kind of mutual greeting. [break][break] Eager for 'lap time' , the Meowstic-- Salem hopped into Zachary's lap, to which Zachary petted the cat on his head and behind his sensitive ears, making the cat purr loudly. [break][break] As they talked though-- their evening wouldn't last long as the eyes of many red-eyed devils would be on them. Growls and soft barks would be heard in due time, as the camp was slowly attracting attention by some uncivil beasts...[break][break]

Nyx returned to her perch on Zachary's shoulder after it was done nuzzling her trainer. Aaron was a welcomed comfort as he congratulated Zachary for his efforts in the battle. It was a surprise, and a welcomed victory in this strange world. As they recovered, dawn came and Zachary got ready to pack up their camp. However... a new arrival came before Aaron. [break][break] A strange little shadow-like pokemon appeared. Baffled, Zachary scanned it into the Pokedex-- indicating was indeed a rare and mystical Pokemon! [break][break] Aaron didn't hesitate and started to battle with it, attempting to bind it with his haunted tree and seed attacks! [break][break] Dizzy growled as it spied the shadow, realizing it WAS the shadow that was after them-- not just Ceruledge himself. [break][break] "Careful Arron! We have no idea how strong that thing is? It might be just like Victini!" the psychic trainer warned. [break][break]

Happy's Smokebomb was as beast as they could get, flooding the whole trench with smoke. Dizzy coughed at it, and Nyx hooted annoyed-- flapping her little wings! But it was the clearing that they needed. They soon ran in the opposite direction, able to escape from the Rocket Ambush. [break][break] After the chaos, the group made it out from the smoke, safely back into the hills and forest near the main road. They had gotten away from the Rocket Grunt-- but it was a close one. [break][break] Zachary sighed as he looked over his pOkemon-- Dizzy, Nyx, and Happy all safe and sound. That was what mattered. And at least he got away with a good heaping of the shards and relics he found. But still-- Rocket was now in force, targeting him just for doing league work. It would be worse when he would become a Gym Leader. [break][break] [break][break] He patted them on their heads, glad they were safe, and returned majority save Dizzy to their Pokeballs just to be safe. With that, they quickly made their way back to town... [break][break]

Tera Blast was a mysterious move that did damage based off the user's tera type. It was Zachary's ace in the hole for a Terastellized Pokemon. The attack did connect, and the poor Pikachu went flying-- but then something unexpected happened. [break][break] The cocky trainer soon pulled out some kind of wristband-- one that Zachary never seen. "Um, no. Should I?" he retorted, not wanting to be intimidated by the guy. [break][break] It was in that moment-- after the attack, the sky darkened and a strange energy surrounded the pikachu! In a matter of seconds, the energy made Pikachu erupt in size-- becoming a giant, towering creature all the way into the sky. [break][break] Zachary felt the color and feeling leave his body, utterly shocked. He dropped his Tera Orb, horrified to now see their small enemy become a massive monster in size. [break][break] Hermes looked up, his jaw agape as he waved his little arms, now frightened by the size of his opponent-- and supercharged by electric power. [break][break] With the trainer's call about his standing in some big tournament-- massive lightning bolts began to rain down! "Hermes , get Eletric Terrain back up and dodge them!" Zachary shouted. [break][break] They were quickly thrown onto defense as Hermes released another surge of electricity to reconstruct Electric Terrain for what good it did. Zachary didn't have a clue about Gigantimax! To him, it looked like Pikachu just decided to evolve into some super giant beast that now was dominating the field! [break][break] Hermes could only do one thing-- run! With electric terrain back up, Hermes attempted to flee from the rampaging lightning bolts, surfing over the now maelstrom of electricity around him! Even with Terastellization, he didn't have a chance to scratch something that big! [break][break]

Happy and his other Pokemon continued to frolic in the fields, enjoying the good weather, being safe on their planet while Dizzy continued to nap next to Zachary. The adorable Delphox gave soft grunts in dreams as he let his tail wag. Zachary was amused watching his Delphox sleep, occasionally petting the fox on the head between the ears-- earning a sound of appreciation from the fox in his sleep. [break][break] Josh soon arrived, riding an Espeon of all things. It seemed uncommon for an Espeon to appear by all things to be that big, but there it was! Regardless, Josh did raise a lot of pokemon meant to be ridden. [break][break] As Josh approached and spoke up, it was clear they both drew the heavy weight of the events of the Prismatic Penatentary. From the torture and prison to the crash on the alien planet. Zachary looked to Josh for a moment, not sure where to begin. [break][break]"I guess to start... are you okay? Well, I should just be blunt. I wanted to talk about what happened up there. You know, up there. In space. With the prison, and what we endured. I don't even know how to process it all. " Zachary began. They had won. They had escaped, and more so won their freedom and the freedom of the aliens under that pokemon's poison influence. "You were there, so you know... You know the stuff we suffered through, and what we did. How do you... return back from all that?" Zachary asked. [break][break] Luckily, the pokemon around him were all as free and calm as before. They didn't suffer any of the pain, but were cloned and kept asleep. If not for Azelf they would of been dead. [break][break] "I'm glad it worked out, but I am struggling to move past everything. I did what I could, but... it still unnerves me. I thought I lost Anubis... Happy, all my Pokemon. They could of died and..." he spoke, clearly nervous as he glanced at the grassy ground. [break][break] Dizzy began to stir, slowly opening his eyes as the fox gave a dreary yawn. [break][break]

The voice soon cut through the destruction. He was finally confronted! A powerful boastful voice spoke up-- revealing to be an older guy. He was icy cold in his demeanor glaring at Zachary with daggers. he willingly said he was part of Team Rocket and declared how Zachary was reckless attacker. "Oh your one to talk? Who attacks without warning, jackass?!" Zachary retorted. [break][break] At the declaration of robbing him-- they saw the Shinx charge with the intent to hit them. "Oh no you don't! Happy-- Reflect!" Zachary commanded. [break][break] Happy gave another happy cheer and extended his little arms! Once more... a barrier of light appeared, this time more transparent and crisp as it overlayed with the Light Screen! [break][break] The Shinx would hit the semi-invisible wall, further protecting them and Zachary! "You ain't robbing me today, pal! My fighting style is what you might call CLEVER!" Zachary retorted, pointing a finger up in the attacker's direction. [break][break] "Happy, Metronome Again!" Zachary ordered! Happy once again did his little 'dance' again-- producing another sphere of energy to produce a random power and with hope this time it would be a significant attack! [break][break][break][break] The orb bursted-- resulting in a black-violet eruption of smoke! The smoke spread everywhere, confusing friend and foe alike! It was clear now the attack was Smokescreen, obscuring the enemy's view! But that left them a chance. Since fighting a hidden enemy was not an opition-- it gave them an opening. [break][break] "Let's get out of here!" Zachary told his Pokemon, to which they all began their retreat-- keeping what items and relics they were able to procure! [break][break]

The blaze raged but nothing notable could be seen as they looked to see anything. They saw silhouettes but nothing beyond that. Activity and smoke moved there but nothing definitive for Zachary to get an idea of who he was dealing with. [break][break] There was a pause-- him not seeing the bird fly into the air. However a loud, dehabilitying roar echoed into the canyon! It was loud and fierce! While not frightened-- Dizzy's big ears made it super strong to him as he covered his ears in fright by the loud noise. Hoothoot too retreated, seeking cover behind Zachary and Dizzy. However---[break][break] "Mi-mi-mime!!" Happy cheered! The little guy was ultimately unaffected! THanks to Soundproof Happy was able to endure any kind of sound attack or technique. It came in handy for things like this! [break][break] Still holding his ground, Happy was ready to go. If they couldn't predict what was going to happen-- then neither would Zachary. [break][break] "Time to gamble it all! Happy-- Metronome!!" Zachary ordered to Happy. [break][break] The mime Jr cheered and raised his little arms! Side to side, he began to 'dance' and wave his arms in a rhythm like he just didn't care! It lasted a small bit, conjuring a rainbow-colored ball of light overhead, till it flashed, producing the purely random power! [break][break][break][break] The ball broke apart-- releasing a glistening, sparkling pink wind! The wind blew forward, mixing with smoke and the past moves' aftermath! The Move Fairy Wind blew towards them, attempting to hit them! Metronome wasn't always great, but its infinite potential was why Happy had it. He was The Fool after all! [break][break] [break][break]

The little owl's Foresight soon casted on the other shadows of the other rpokemon-- exposing their 'ghost-like' traits and neutralizing them! For other pokemon there, they now stood a better chance. Eden attacked her copy with a simple Tackle-- making successful contact! Dizzy was able to hit it with a strong Psychock-- and neutralized his shadow without too much difficult. [break][break] All that was left was the Ceruledge who had invaded, perhaps even spawning the shadows itself? Either way it was the 'commander' of the group. It flinched at the Foresight-- but its eyes burned with renewed anger at the little owl. [break][break] It soon charged, attempting a "Shadow Claw" upon it with its blades. Once again-- Hoothoot pretty much slipped through it, with both agility and its immunity! Cerulege was a creature driven by rage-- and not smarts to not catch on sooner! [break][break] "I'm through with you! Nyx-- use Extrasensory! " Zachary shouted. [break][break] Nyx;s eyes glowed with psychic power and soon let out a loud cry! Rainbow-colored rings of light fired forth, along with a shock of sound that fired right at the Ceruledge! Normally, a psychic attack wasn't much good against a ghost. But something happened! [break][break] The attack landed and knocked the ghostly armor well off its feet, sending it clattering into a nearby tree! [break][break] It appeared Nyx had Tinted Lens -- a rare ability that made less effective moves more powerful! In this case, the Hoothoot's psychic attacks were able to grow stronger against an enemy who resisted such attacks! [break][break] Broken free from the shackles of his doubt, Zachary glared at the Ceruledge, no longer listening to its ghostly taunts. [break][break] In that moment, the Ceruledge soon melted back into shadow! It broke down like a cloud-- and faded into the trees of the woods, disappearing. [break][break]A sigh of relief came to Zachary, as they had cleared out the last of the shadows of their end. While relieved-- Zachary had begun to get a feeling what this place was... and what drove the forces here. [break][break] His deep thought was interrupted by Nyx, as she happily fluttered through the air-- proud and happy she had won her very first pokemon battle! She soon landed on Zachary's shoulder and began to nuzzle him, tickling his face. [break][break] "Okay! Okay-Nyx! Easy! Haha--!"
