It felt rude to use the nose clip, especially in front of Jon (but he had long got used to the Trubbish's scent). He took the clip and tried to subtly put it into his pocket. Maybe if he focused on the issue at hand, it would be enough of a distraction from the powerful smell.[break][break]
He did his best not to gag as he crouched. He did feel bad for the Muk and sighed, "Poor thing... All soupy and watered down... Gideon, come here." His Karrablast took a few steps closer but hid behind Knight, her face buried into his top.[break][break]
"Cass, Gideon knows Acid Spray -- would that help? Maybe it could bulk up the Muk without hurting it?" He didn't know what else to try and it wasn't like he could pat the Muk to comfort it either. Knight frowned, overcome with sadness for this Pokémon who was hurting.

"Thanks! I might do that..." If this Mudbray liked berries... Maybe it'd be a good fit for the Berry plot? Knight thinks about it as they made their way back to the farm proper. "Nope, this is my first time." Being that Mudbray wasn't an equine like Rapidash, the ride was quite bumpy for Kay but he was having a great time either way.[break][break]
As they got closer to the farm, Knight could make out Loot Guard's two Pokémon and Chani, gathered together. Were they sitting on something...? Knight frowned as he waited for the Mudbray to take him closer at its relaxed pace. [break][break]
"Oh! Looks like this caught something too?" Knight remarks as the scene becomes clearer. Chani looks particularly proud that she got to help Loot Guard's Pokémon and Knight planned to give her a berry to reward her for a job well done.[break][break]

Knight grinned, "Well done everyone, even Thea approves!" All the 'mons who helped gave a small cheer and Knight made sure they had some of Thea's homemade snacks to have. His own 'mons seemed to go crazy for them.[break][break]
He rolled his eyes, "Don't be jealous that me and Gominha are close!" But he smiled, knowing that no one would mean any harm by it. When Cass asked for an explanation of the rules, Kay did his best to explain them how he understood them. If he made any mistakes, he hoped Thea would speak up and give Cass the right information.[break][break]
"I find it easier to learn a new game by playing, so we could do a practice round first if you want?" He suggested, patting a spot for Thea to sit down and join them. She got cosy under the blankets as Knight passed over the yellow token to Cass, "What colour do you want? Purple? Brown? Black? White?" He asked Thea.

"Oh Arceus--" Whatever this fished up flew over their heads and landed behind them but the stench! Kay gagged and put a hand over his mouth and nose, turning with some reluctance. A few fishermen on the boat backed up as well. [break][break]
This Muk made Jon smell like a garden of roses. It truly wasn't well at all and Knight felt a shiver run down his spine as he joined Cass, "What can we do for it? Do you think it ingested something bad?" He tried to remember what he knew about these 'mons. They pretty much loved to eat trash and pollution...[break][break]
It had to be something seriously bad for it to affect the Muk like this. "Well, if we help at least we sort of know what's kept the fish away from here..." Knight looked at Cass and then at Jon. Would Cass' little Trubbish know how to help the Muk?

"Finally, yeah! There were some Mudbray in the paddock and one of them helped out." Knight explained, unaware that said Mudbray had followed until Loot Guard pointed it out. He turned around just as the Mudbray tried to bite his back pocket (berries!). Kay laughed, "I'll get you another berry in a second..."[break][break]
He held onto the Zorua and nodded at Loot Guard, "I figured you'd know what to do with this one? Maybe the Rangers can deal with it?" Another butt to his butt, and Knight dug into his pocket for a berry. The Mudbray took it with a happy honk, which made Knight laugh.[break][break]
Loot Guard had the Rapidash which got him thinking... "Would you be okay with me riding on your back?" He asked the Mudbray. It wasn't as big as the Rapidash but compared to Knight's size, he felt it was doable. He waited but the Mudbray honked again and nodded, "Is that a yes? Neat!"[break][break]
It was a bit of juggling with the passed out Zorua, but soon Knight was riding his majestic and noble steed! "Lead the way, Loot Guard." He grinned as the Mudbray plodded along.

"Clutter... Flutter... Mutter... Butter...? Butter... Man, that's making me hungry. I wish I had a sandwich or something." Knight murmured to himself as he sat on the ground. He used the end of his pencil to scratch his head and let out a groan, "Poetry is dumb. I hate this class!" Nearby, his Farfetch'd marched back and forth with his leek and Knight looked at the poem he had written so far.[break][break]
Yeah. It sucked.[break][break]
Kay cleared his throat and read it aloud, "Oh to be a Butterfree... To Flutterby... Dairy free... And say goodbye to my Beautifly." Knight let out another noise of frustration and tossed the jotter away from him. He laid back on the grass and stared at the sky. The day was pretty nice, despite having Poetry homework, and Knight felt himself relaxed as clouds drifted by. Dustox shaped clouds. "Wait... That is a Dustox! A whole bunch of them!"[break][break]
In awe at the host of Dustox and Beautifly passing overhead, Knight sat up suddenly, "Hey, Fitz! Let's try and catch one! Use Brutal Swing!" How cool would it be to go home with a new Pokémon? [break][break]

It seemed like even a class trip to check out the Pokémon League wasn't safe from something happening.[break][break]
Knight coughed a few times, feeling a bit drained, as they were warned to group up and not move. But a group of students weren't going to behave in a situation like this and several were breaking off to check things out or just whispering amongst themselves.[break][break]
"Did you see anything?" He whispered to his 'mon, Perrin but the Flying type shook his head. Some of his classmates were saying the teachers were talking about Arbok but Kay didn't know how much of that to believe. He glanced around and gasped when he saw a classmate get pulled into some nearby bushes.[break][break]
Him and a few others dashed over to save her, and Knight was disturbed to see it really was an Arbok and it had tried to swallow her! "Perrin, use Drill Peck!" A few others had the same idea, and soon a small group of Pokémon attacked the Arbok. This was enough to free their classmate, and Knight hoped she was okay. He watched as the Arbok fled, and he was almost certain he saw some toxic chains...[break][break]
A teacher came over to intervene and, not having the heart to scold them for getting involved, merely told them to get back to the group and stop wandering off until the situation was under control.

The shadow got larger and Cass hurried off to get their fishing gear, "Keep safe you two. Perrin, don't get too close to the water, okay?" He warned though he gave both Perrin and Martin a fond smile.[break][break]
He took his rod when Cass came back and nodded, "Let's try... It might be something big!" He grinned. Martin and Perrin went back out to act as bait but Kay wasn't worried. He knew the 'mons were smart and would be able to take care of themselves.[break][break]
Knight cast out his hook and looked at Cass, "Would be funny if it was a Wailord, right?" Did any come this far in-land? He had always wanted to catch a Wailmer if possible -- they were so cute![break][break]
Something caught on the end of his line and Knight jerked forward, stopped only by the railing of the boat, "Geesh! What is this thing!?" The reel spun like crazy as the line got long until it went taut and Kay tried to reel in... Whatever it was!

"Thea! What do you think? We did a great job right?" He grinned and gestured to the game he was already setting up. He was reading the instructions to make sure he did everything right, "What colour does everyone want to be? Can I be orange?" It was his favourite colour after all.[break][break]
When Cass asked about the window, Knight nodded, "Sure, I don't mind. Do you Thea?" He couldn't imagine she would have an issue with it either. He looked at Jon in his little bed and let out a coo, "Oh my Arceus, that's adorable. How is Jon so cute?! Aw man, I want a Trubbish now!" Maybe some day he'd find one out in the wild.[break][break]
At least Cass had experience with raising one, so he could ask her for advice![break][break]
Kay made sure to look up and catch Gominha's eye, "You're still my favourite princess~" He blew her a kiss and then gestured to his friends, "Okay, game is ready to go!"[break][break]

Ugh, why was Zorua such a pain to deal with?! Knight frowned at the thought of trying to find the trickster all over again but Loot Guard was right. They had to make sure it couldn't cause any more problems for the farm.[break][break]
"I think it's coming from this direction." Knight gestured as the giggles seemed to trail off but he was determined to get to the bottom of this.[break][break]
Despite getting lost in these 'woods' earlier, it actually turned out the paddock was just a short walk away and Knight would have been fine. There were a few Mudsdale grazing at the far end but a bit closer to the fence was a small group of Mudbray. Knight hopped over the fence and looked around for anything suspicious.[break][break]
One of the Mudbray was letting out annoyed brays, shaking its head and stomping on the ground. Kay looked over and then glanced at Victor, "Did I do something wrong..." He didn't have much experience with this kind of Pokémon, so he put both his hands up in an 'it's okay, I'm not going to hurt you' kind of way. Still, the Mudbray was annoyed, and Knight quickly realised it was annoyed at another one of its kind.[break][break]
Oh boy, had he interrupted some kind of territorial thing?[break][break]
Victor stayed closed as they watched the Mudbray shake its head and advance on the other, and Knight moved closer to the fence. He was ready to make a quick escape if things got out of hand. He watched as the Mudbray use Stomp which startled the Mudbray it had issues with.[break][break]
Then it stood on the Mudbray's tail and-- "Hey! That's that Zorua!" Loot Guard had been right! Knight gestured, "Victor, help the Mudbray out and use Iron Head to knock it out!"[break][break]
Between the Mudbray and Knight's Honedge, the Zorua was well and truly cornered. It had no chance to escape this time and Victor's move knocked it out, "Good, now it won't cause issues for us. Thanks Mudbray." He dug into his pocket for one of the berries that Loot Guard had given him earlier.[break][break]
The Mudbray accepted it happily and butted its head against Knight for some pats as well. He laughed and did just that, "Yes, you're awesome. Thank you." He went over and picked up the Zorua -- Loot Guard would know how to deal with this. Knight and Victor went over the fence and back to see how the others were dealing with any possible intruders. At least this time, he knew what direction to walk in![break][break]
Unknown to Knight but the Mudbray had jumped the fence and decided to follow him. In hopes of another berry, perhaps?

Perrin soared through the air, climbing higher to take in more of the views around them but then he dove back down to join Martin. He conveyed that there wasn't anything obvious that stuck out to him.[break][break]
"Yeah, I should do." Knight laughed softly, "I was so excited about coming on the trip, I just brought some of my regular 'mons." He continued to stare at the water. The water was a lovely blue colour and seemed like it would be great to swim in -- if he could swim.[break][break]
Kay stood up straight and gasped, "Cass... Do you see that?" It looked like a shadow far, far below them but it grew bigger as it advanced, "Is it just a 'mon or is it... Something else?" Like the poison? Was that possible?

"Loot Guard! Chani! Victor! Yeah, it's right th-- there..." But the Zorua had disappeared again, and an echo of giggles would ring in their ears. Kay let out a frustrated sigh, "It was here, pretending to be Victor. I'm sorry, I ran off without thinking but I thought I'd be able to catch it..."[break][break]
He looked around and then approached the Rapidash and pat it lightly, "Where did you get this 'mon? I didn't know you had one like this..." He smiled at the sight of the incredible Pokémon and then shook his head, "How do we deal with this Zorua? And if it is a distraction?" [break][break]
At least two of Loot Guard's Pokémon were protecting the farm, "Chani, head back and help protect the Wooloo as well. Victor, stick close to me." Chani nodded and hurried off in the direction she had just come with Loot Guard, "So what do we do?"

Knight wanted to know more about Cass' Skuntank but this wasn't the time or place -- he would just have to hope he could remember to ask her about it later on.[break][break]
"Perrin can help too. Let's send them out together." He nodded and gestured for Perrin to go along with Martin, "And to think I caught a Pelipper recently, I should have brought her on this trip with me." Kay laughed, rubbing the back of his hair because he knew a 'mon like that would have been perfect for this scenario.[break][break]
He watched as the two 'mons took off together and he sighed, "I hope it's nothing majorly bad... Like those weird poison type 'mons that have been popping up around Hoenn." He loved his home and didn't want to see it harmed. Knight leaned on the railing and stared into the water, "Do you think they could affect the sea too?"
