Lavaridge was supposed to be a relaxing school trip before the end of the school year, and yet... Knight couldn't believe it when he saw the two giant Pokémon facing off against each other! He grabbed Fitzwilliam around the waist and hoisted him up, "Yeah, you're not fighting that." He warned, though the Farfetch'd flailed in protest and tried to hit Kay with his leek.[break][break]
A vine, which looked more like a chain if Kay stared long enough, crashed nearby and he took a few steps back. Pollen filled the air and Knight coughed a few times before using his sleeve to cover his mouth and nose, "We better head back inside." Their walk was going to be cut short but Knight would rather keep himself and his 'mon safe.[break][break]
This definitely wasn't a situation they were equipped to handle.[break][break]
As he turned to follow the path back to the pension they were staying in, Knight spotted some tracks in the dirt, which distracted him for a moment. They seemed like this might have been made by some kind of dog 'mon, "Did you see anything that would have made those...?" He asked Fitz, another coughing fit hitting him. His head felt a little woozy and his arms were heavy.[break][break]
He needed to get back quickly. He gave the paw-print one last look and started a very slow jog back to the safety of his classmates.

Anything to help around Slateport and Knight was right there with his 'mons! He had heard about some weezing and koffing causing issues at the abandoned warehouses (okay, maybe he had been eavesdropping but shhh). So as soon as he was able to, he had hurried over with a few of his Pokémon to see what he could do.[break][break]
Other people had gathered with the same intentions, and Kay threw himself into the fray. He saw a small cluster of scared Pokémon and gestured to his own, "Harrow, Fitz, help direct those Pokémon away from danger and let's get them out of here!" Knight hurried over with his Farfetch'd and Charcardet but as he reached the 'mons he saw a weezing nearby.[break][break]
Shoot... He hoped he could have done this without drawing too much attention to them but the other 'mon slowly turned and caught sight of Knight picking up a few helpless Pokémon. "We have to get out of here, now." He warned his own 'mons and the ones they were rescuing.[break][break]
Kay and the others made a break for it just as the weezing decided to use self-destruct. It flashed a few times and Knight felt the explosion behind him, which flung him forward a few feet.[break][break]
Dazed, Knight coughed a few times and then checked on the 'mons he had been trying to rescue, "Is everyone okay...?" He glanced back to where the weezing had been. Well, at least that was one less rogue 'mon to deal with. He checked himself over too but aside from some scratches and bruises, he knew he was going to be okay.[break][break]
With a determined nod, he got up, "Come on, let's get away to somewhere safer..." He looked over the surrounding scene and, after a few moments of hesitation (should he go back? help more?), led the way towards safety.

Knight couldn't remember if this had been his idea or Cass' but the school encouraged them to take on jobs like this whenever possible. Something about experience for real life.[break][break]
Chani had been asked by some builders to help cut sheets of metal into the right sizes -- which she was more than happy to do, using her Metal Claw to make light work of her task. Knight was pleased to see her enjoy the task so much, while he hung back.[break][break]
He didn't think too hard about the whole shipbuilding thing. Why did the league need ships? Not his problem to figure out!

Knight also missed where the Machop had disappeared off to but the smiled at Thea, "Pretty neat 'mon." He continued on walking but didn't really make an effort to look for new Pokémon.[break][break]
Perring alerted to another Pokémon nearby and Knight went to investigate, swearing off to the right and through some bushes, "Oh! Thea, look!" He grinned at the sight of the Pignite and Timburr having a strength contest. Timburr lifted a boulder with ease and then Pignite did the same. Knight's eyes sparkled at the sight of the fire and fighting type. He wanted that one![break][break]
"Perrin, hit it with a fury attack!" He felt a bit bad just ambushing the 'mons like this but hopefully Thea would handle the Timburr if needed. Perrin took off and then dove on the Pignite, attacking it a few times in a row. It shook off the attack -- luckily, Knight was prepared! "Alright Gideon, follow up with a headbutt." [break][break]
The Karrablast let out a cry of determination and charged at the Pignite. She landed her headbutt right on target, and the Pignite fell back, dazed. Kay let out a sigh or relief and tossed out one of his Poke balls.

Thanks to Cass and her 'mons helping out, the tangled mess of sheets and blankets was soon transformed into a pretty decent blanket fort. Knight took a step back and put his hands on his helps, "Hey, that looks cosy, right?" He grinned at his friend before he started arranging blankets and pillows inside.[break][break]
There would be plenty of room for the extra cushions and for them to chill inside (and sleep)! Knight flopped down and wriggled happily, "Join me! It's really comfy!" He had expected it to feel like he was just laying on the floor but it was really nice, almost like a bed.[break][break]
A few of his Pokémon flopped down too, and Kay chuckled, "Should we set up the game before Thea gets back?" He sat up suddenly and went to find the right game box.[break][break]

Chani, along with Victor, waved at Lut to get their attention and joined the group heading off to find out where their idiot trainer had disappeared off to. The followed Lut on the Rapidash but it wasn't too hard for them to keep up.[break][break]
Knight did another little spin and sighed, "Let's just pick a direction and hope for the best!" He looked up but the trees covered the sky and it was hard to tell what direction the sun was in. Not that it would have helped Kay, he just remembered it from a film. He nodded and started off in one direction.[break][break]
After a few moments, Kay frowned and tilted his head, "Hey Victor... Do you see that light...? Is... Something glowing...?" He looked around but there wasn't anywhere to really hide here. He turned to his 'mon but Victor wasn't there any more.[break][break]
"Hey! It's you again!" Knight pointed at the small Zorua just as the sound of something coming through the trees got louder.

Knight's eyes grew ten times bigger as he watched Captain Nariya take on the Tyranitar. He'd never seen someone rodeo a 'mon before so it was something to behold and it seemed like she was going to wear him (or her) down first. Yup, Kay's money was on Shalin winning.[break][break]
While she handled that, Knight turned his attention back to the Shelmet he was holding. It seemed to have stopped shaking down which was good. He crouched down and gently set the Pokémon back on the ground. "You okay now? Awesome. Listen, while she's distracting the big bad, you better run off and hide somewhere safe."[break][break]
He had no idea why the Tyranitar was after the Shelmet but now was the best time to escape! However, the bug type had other ideas. It bumped it's head against Knight's hand and he laughed, patting softly, "Is that what you want...?" But it didn't seem to satisfy the 'mon who bumped against him a few more times until Knight realised what it wanted.[break][break]
With some surprise, he took out an empty Poke Ball and held it in the palm of his head, "...This?" The shelmet let out a soft noise of approval and Knight chuckled, "Are you sure?" Knight checked to see how Captain Nariya was getting on and then nodded, "Okay. You can be my 'mon."[break][break]
The shlemet did a little twirl of happiness and Knight chuckled, tossing the ball at the bug.

It was frustrating for Knight that he wasn't able to catch the tiny Wooloo but he knew Loot Guard would be able to help. What happened next, however? Yeah, he hadn't expected that at all.[break][break]
He had reached into the pocket of his shorts to get out the berries that Loot Guard had gifted him when chaos unfolded. The Sylveon was alerting to something and Knight dropped his berries. He crouched to pick them up when the Wooloo shifted.[break][break]
"YAH!" He cried out in surprise when the cute little Wooloo became a (still kinda cute) Zorua! Was it laughing at him...? "H-Hey!" Knight cupped the berries in his hand as he got up and dashed towards the Zorua. It easily evaded and hurried off, with Knight following after to see where it was going to go.[break][break]
The Zorua ran through the trees and quickly disappeared, which left Kay alone and... Lost. "Chani? Victor? Loot Guard?" He turned in a small circle. Which direction had he ran from again? Knight heard another rustle in the bushes and yelped again, but it was just his Honedge, come to save him! "Victor! Which way do we go?!"[break][break]
Was Loot Guard going to be mad at him for running off? He could hear that familiar laughter echoing through the trees, however, there was no sight of the Zorua now. Victor just floated there and didn't seem to know where to go either...

"Cute and strong is the best combo." Knight remarked and winked at Gominha -- who was definitely the cutest and strongest. He chuckled as she pouted when Thea talked about Pawmo's hair tuft. He shook his head, "Everyone knows that Gominha-hime has the best hair tuft!" [break][break]
He scooted closer to he could pet it a few times if Gominha allowed it.[break][break]
Thea suggested another name and Knight nodded, "Hammy is nice! As for my Falinks... I'm not sure yet. I shall have to check my book later and pick something from there." He gasped, "Do you want to look through the book too?"[break][break]
Just as Knight was about to slip his school-bag from his shoulder to take out said book, a streak of something zoomed past. It cut through the air with ease, and Perrin let out a caw of surprise, diving to avoid getting hit. Knight squinted up at the sky, but it was hard to pinpoint what Pokémon it had been. It seemed to be gone now. [break][break]
At the same time, a Machop appeared from their left. It seemed to be walking along but doing some karate stuff at the same time? At least, that's what it looked like to Kay. The Pokémon had such a serious expression that he had to fight back the urge to laugh (and was slowly losing). He looked at Thea to distract himself, "Is that 'mon doing karate...?"

"Cass! Did you--!" He talked at the same time as his friend and it seemed they had both heard about the same thing. He was still carrying his fishing-pole from attempting to catch something when he overheard a couple of fishermen talking. As soon as he could, he had rushed off to find Cass and see if she wanted to investigate![break][break]
The Skuntank, however, threw him off and Kay's eyes widened, "You saw a what? Did you catch it? Whereabouts did you see it? Maybe it's a clue!" His own Pokémon (he had brought Fitzwilliam , Perrin and Gideon on this trip) lingered around as Knight decided what to do next, "Can you show me? Was it near here?" The best thing about their school was the school trips. The second-best thing was how much free time they got.[break][break]
He waited for Cass to show them the way and grinned at his 'mons, "This'll be fun!" To which Fitz rolled his eyes but hefted his giant leek over his shoulder.

Knight was a little woozy from the tumble and only managed soft, faint groans, "Waauuh Mmmyuaaa?" Who knew what he was trying to say! Not even Victor had a clue and he was a very loyal Pokémon.[break][break]
All Kay knew at that moment was warm fire so he drifted over toward the campfire and plonked himself down on the ground. As he did, he managed to shuck off some of the mud, stones, twigs, grass, leaves and whatever else had stuck to him. Ugh, Thea was going to have to hose him down later.[break][break]
He helds his hands out to the warmth, "Thaaaaank youuuuu." He said in a rather eerie moan as he tried to recover from his ordeal. Victor stayed close to his side, wary.

Knight made sure to pet and smooth down Gominha's swirly tuft of hair (It was so FREAKING soft!! Aaahhh!!) and reluctantly left her side. What if she needed him? Well... She knew to call on him and, provided he wasn't fast asleep, Knight would always come to her rescue![break][break]
"I suck at Poké Up but Thea's great at it." At the very least, Thea seemed to always win they played and Kay didn't know how she did it. He moved around and gathered the duvet and blankets from his bed, "I think there are more blankets in the cupboard in the hallway!" He dumped what he had in his arms and ran off to check.[break][break]
A few moments later and a moving mountain of blankets and sheets entered the room, knocking a few things over, "Oops. Sorry. Think this is enough? Uncle said he can get us some extra cushions from the Dojo if we need them?" He tried to peek around the pile in his arms to smile at his friends but it was impossible.[break][break]
Kay shuffled towards the middle of the room, "Want me to just dump these here?" A few of his Pokémon had gathered to help, though each other grabbed a separate blanket or sheet, causing a web of fort building materials to scatter around the three students.
