He ran out of rubbish to feed the Muk but the Pokémon had definitely perked up a bit -- it looked like it had a more solid form now so Knight moved back. It was probably best to give Cass and her 'mons space to help the Muk regurgitate whatever was making it sick.[break][break]
Kay watched with bated breath as the odd bird 'mon belonging to Cass used Psybeam. It seemed to agitate Muk enough that something was definitely happening. It was like a gurgling, bubbling noise and before Knight could brace himself the Muk let out a long, putrid belch.[break][break]
At first, he thought the 'mon hadn't coughed anything up until he saw something he thought he recognised. Knight gasped, "Cass that's... one of those thingies!" He had seen them a few times whenever there had been Pokémon acting weird.[break][break]
"A mochi, right?" He guessed but it definitely looked different from regular mochi and with a deep, purple hue to it. He didn't dare touch it, "Do you think that's what made the Muk sick...?"

With low expectations for winning the game, Knight hadn't paid attention to his own score and expected Cass to announce her or Thea the winner. When she said his name, he just stared at her as his brain pinged to process the information.[break][break]
"Congra-- Wait?! What?!" Knight's eyes grew wide while his 'mons (aside from Fitzwilliam who pat his shoulder and Victor who was too shy to get too close) decided to pile on top of him in celebration, "Are you sure? Woah! I won!?" Finally it sunk in and he grinned, "I'd like to thank Thea who taught me everything I know for this game and for Lady Luck who favoured me tonight." He finished with a laugh.[break][break]
He hugged his 'mons and then let them go, "Are we going to play another round or do you want to watch a film now?"[break][break]
Gideon, his Karrablast, had decided to go and side with Jon and co if they allowed her to. She was curious about Cass' mons and it was fun to have a setting like this where she could get to know them better.

When his cousin suggested coming to the Dojo for some private lessons, Knight had groaned and flailed at first. And then she mentioned it would be a good chance for Hercules and Baudelaire to get used to their new home (aaaand they were fighting types!) so how could he refuse then?[break][break]
Since it was the Dojo, he respected the rules and changed into a karategi as any other student would do. He gave Hercules a little a white belt to wear as well but for his Falinks... Well, he just let them vibe as they were.[break][break]
"Yes, we made it." Kay grinned as he marched into the Dojo with Hercules and Baudelaire following after. Hercules was good at staying with his trainer but as soon as Bau saw their old friend Hammy, off they marched to greet the Pawmo. Knight didn't have the heart to tell them otherwise, and hoped his cousin wouldn't mind.[break][break]
Knight waited as Hammy introduced himself with Bau right next to him, which was a bit funny to see, "Hercules, why don't you introduce yourself too?" He suggested. The fire pig Pokémon didn't hesitate, flexing his arms as he strode forward with confidence. He snorted at Zeus and then did a polite to Thea.

After catching Moiraine, Knight had let her hang around the Dojo freely (which his Uncle had allowed) but today he wanted to spend some time getting to know the Water and Flying type.[break][break]
Only... Well, she wasn't where he had expected to find her. Instead, she was out near the gate that led into the property and squawking angrily. Knight jogged up to his 'mon, confused, "What's ruffled your feathers?" A few more squawks had Kay look around and then he saw it. Up high, squsihed between a post and the sign to let people know the Dojo was here...[break][break]
"Oh no." He had no experience dealing with a disgruntled Manidbuzz but he knew the perfect person to call -- Lot Guard![break][break]
A quick call and half an hour later and Knight was greeting the Ranger, "Thanks for coming so quickly. The, uh, Mandibuzz nest is over here. I just didn't know who else to ask or what to do and Moiraine won't settle while they're there." Knight explained as he walked over to the nest with Loot Guard in tow.

Knight had gone to buy souvenirs from his school trip for his uncle and decided some Lava Cookies would just hit the spot. He had permission from a teacher to head to a shop and a couple of his classmates came along.[break][break]
The events from earlier were still fresh in his mind so he made sure Fitzwilliam followed out of his Poke Ball -- just in case. Kay chatted to his classmates and as they rounded the corner to the shop they wanted to visit, they noticed a few of the locals were acting... Well... Weird. They stumbled past and seemed to be sick in some way.[break][break]
Naturally this scared the classmates who had come along and they rushed back to the pension, leaving Knight alone with his 'mon. He looked around in confusion and could swear he saw some weird, two-toed footprints on the ground. At least, that was the last thing Kay could remember before he succumbed to his illness and fainted.

There was something extra nice about getting some praise from Farmer Ben and Knight can't help but beam with happiness, "Anything you need help, I can drop by!" Of course, he was busy with school and chores at home but he always found time to do other things -- to have adventures.[break][break]
Knight pat Mudbray on its forelock and showed no signs of losing his bright smile anytime soon, "Thank you so much! I'll take good care of Mudbray and get a saddle and learn to ride and and and--" Kay was just super pleased that today had gone well. He turned to Loot Guard, "Thank you as well, for today. I think I'm going to give some serious thought about applying to the Rangers when I graduate!"[break][break]
His attention went back to Mudbray and he held out Poké Ball. The 'mon brayed happily and Knight booped it gently on the forehead with the ball, watching the Pokémon disappear in a flash of light. [break][break]
He looked at the ball in his hands and couldn't wait to tell Cass and Thea all about his adventure that day!

Even during the practice round, Knight would mess up some simple rules and have to be reminded what to do and he came in last. But he had fun and that was the most important thing, right?[break][break]
They started to play for real, and Knight used his best strategy when it came to playing board games -- sheer dumb luck. Sometimes it paid off and sometimes it went against him, fooling him into making dumb choices that would hurt his performance.[break][break]
He had a hard time keeping track of everyone else and his own things but he did his best to keep up. Mostly, he was concerned with how Thea was playing, since he had the most experience facing off against her. Cass? He was confident she was just playing along and doing her best! Like she always did![break][break]

Knight listens as Cass gives him some advice on how to approach the situation -- with the smell and with the hurt Muk. It truly was a tricky Pokémon to help. "Alright, Gideon, don't over do it. Just a little bit at a time... Erm, try to aim for the Muk's mouth?" Gideon saluted her trainer and let out a small yell, spraying some Acid at the Muk as instructed.[break][break]
He considered what else he could do to help but he didn't think Perrin could help... But Fitzwilliam might, "Fitz, can you use Detect so we know how the Muk is doing? Hey Cass, would sand attack help to fee--? Wait!" It was a dumb idea but it might just work![break][break]
Getting up, Kay ran to the nearest public bin that had been stuffed full of discarded food and drinks, and other bits of rubbish. He ran back with the bag and fell to his knees next to the Muk. He picked through the rubbish with his bare hands and selected the pieces he thought Muk would enjoy the most, "Here, can you eat this?" [break][break]
A gross banana peel and something that was probably once coffee were tossed into the Muk's mouth and Knight continued searching through the rubbish and picking out things he thought the Muk would enjoy to feed to it.

Knight was prepared to do a very sad goodbye with the Mudbray when Ben suggested he could work for the honour of taking the Pokémon home as his own, "YES!" He agreed without even hearing what it was Ben wanted them to do. [break][break]
Any chance he could have to own Mudbray? Knight wasn't going to skip over that, "I'll do anything, Sir! I don't mind a bit of hard work and it would be a great honour to own this 'mon." [break][break]
So it turned out they had to help with one of the fields, to prepare it for sowing later one, "Hm, I think Mudbray can help with this one, right Buddy?" He pat the Mudbray on its rump after he dismounted, staring at the field before them. "Loot Guard, watch this!"[break][break]
Kay took out a berry and held it out for the Mudbray to take, "Alright, let's see if you can do this... Mudbray, can you use Rototiller? And prepare this field?" The Donkey brayed and then stomped the ground, using it's power to till the ground. Knight walked alongside the Pokémon and they walked the length of the field and back again, performing the move over and over until it seemed like the Mudbray was too tired to continue, "I think we got it all, though!" Kay said to Loot Guard, wiping his brow and feeding Mudbray another berry for a job well done.[break][break]
He turned to look back over the field and grinned, "Awesome!"

With a smile, Knight nodded at Zeus, "You can help him train, show him how to be strong like you!" Knight might have played favourites with Gominha but he adored all of Thea's 'mons.[break][break]
He stretched and then sighed, looking at his cousin, "Maybe we should call it a day there? We got some good Pokémon and I'm starting to get hungry." Was it nearly dinner time?[break][break]
Regardless, his stomach growled and Knight laughed at himself, "Yup, home time! I wonder what Cass got up to today too..." He mused as he turned to head home.[break][break]
And walked in the wrong direction.[break][break]
