It's relatively rare for Fenelle to feel comfortable. Dee usually is more comfortable within Rocket Headquarters and Sootopolis than anywhere else (except the patch of lands where der beloved parents (/s) wander), but even then ... how do you feel at ease around terrorists? Dee isn't sure, but there's something dee finds nice in Eilidh's company, and dee finds demself smiling a little bit even as Eilidh thanks dem for the explanation.

(Maybe it's the Big Sister vibes. Though nothing would beat Sailor as the best sibling ever.)

Dee can't hear what she says next, but thinks reading "Mille" on her lips - or well, that's what dee chooses to believe. (Lipreading is knowing context and a good portion of just guessing, things dee is only good at in theory.)

Oh! It seems like Eilidh actually is also new here. Dee chuckles lightly at her playful display, before signing, more seriously, So you're not a frontline fighter, I assume? What do you do else then? If I may ask. I'm a cracker myself, and occasionally well. A professional gambler, I like to call it. Figuring out the wrinkles in missions and the stochastics of certain risks and plans ... risk assessment could also be a wording for it. (But dee doesn't get to do that often - being new and not trustworthy enough, and all.)

The battling statement is only further enhanced by the Paldean Wooper being extremely silly (and really adorable, even if Fenelle doesn't think so). Fenelle remains a bit dumbfounded by its behaviour, but seeing Eilidh doing her best to stifle her laughter does make der lips curve upwards slightly. It certainly is ... an interesting one, dee signs back, Do you want to take it into Rocket battles with you?

Dee sees a glint in Morgrem's confused face, one that dee would normally welcome. However, dee doesn't want to be rude - societal rules are so confusing - at the moment, so dee stomps to get der pokémon's attention. His head snaps to dem, watching dem intently as dee slowly signs, Don't attack yet. The Morgrem grimaces, but resigns himself to being ready - he hasn't followed the conversation between them, and even then, seems to be adamant that this silly guy is actually a predator biding his time.

Oh well. There's several things to recognise about the approaching figure, the first maybe being a ranger, the second being Mauville's Gym Leader, the third being a League nuisance. Nonetheless, Fenelle stows away those feelings in favour of having the easy, genuine reaction to the larger-than-average Palafin that Josh rides.

(Also it seems like dee couldn't just up and away with those eggs then. Pity.)

Dee waves at the Gym Leader at the greeting that dee visually perceives, and then moves to quickly take out der phone to type. "Hi! I'm deaf, so I couldn't hear what you just said." Der Text-To-Speech module activates with the generic masculine voice, while Fenelle ponders how to communicate with the other further. However, in the meanwhile, dee notices that the other's been looking at the eggs, and points at them with a questioning look on der face. "I just found those eggs out here. I'm not sure if they should just ... float here?" dee continues typing on der phone to let the synthetic voice sound out.

The Lapras seems professionally undisturbed by the new arrival, whereas the Autism Gang both start displaying varying degrees of curiosity and reservedness, as well as just plain old social awkwardness. Fuecoco seems to be the most curious about the other two, jumping up and down on his ice float while Vanillite is making sure there'd always be an ice float.

Fenelle belatedly realises that dee forgot to hand Theo a screen to type with (whenever dee enters HQ, the number of der technological gadgets multiplies mysteriously), but ... huh! The surprise only lasts for a moment on der face, as dee already moves to respond, the signs coming in fast before dee remembers to slow down.

We have trained a lot, but not much outside of these halls, dee signs. Grimmsnarl catches their conversation now, and snarls, his hair flexing. Grimmsnarl disagrees.

Fenelle offers to der psychic type, and he finally relaxes a bit, nodding as he floats over to Porygon's side again who has seemed rather unfazed by the entire thing. However, their gachapon adventure should not be peaceful at all - as soon as dee reaches for another coin to throw in, a group of children has suddenly appeared out of nowhere, now pushing the seven of them to the side.

Dumbfounded, Fenelle looks at Ralts, who actually appears surprisingly calm about this interference. However, Porygon's not looking too happy, so ... dee pats it one time, before shrugging and turning. Then, a few ways away, dee taps der Porygon again, showing a ball to it. Let's see what prize we got at home, hmm?

As the rowdy kids pushed dem away, dee has gotten hold of one of their pokéballs, and well. Since they've been so rude, why not repay this kindness in kind ... it's just fortunate that actually, an Electrode is something dee might keep given its genderless nature.

The Gachapon ratters and clinks as Ralts is trying it out for Porygon, since it has a distinct lack of arms. The whole gang is in anticipation as the capsule is given out, and the psychic type picks it up to open-

All of a sudden, a Revaroom interferes, snatching the capsule right from Ralts' hands. He looks at the other pokémon dumbfounded, but there's only the trail left. Immediately, Fenelle picks up on the cues and kneels down, taking him into der arms. Dee pats him, cradling him a bit as he, representing the rest of the gang, bursts out in tears and rattles the machines nearby with his psychic powers at the same time.

They are a rather odd combination of people, as Fenelle still is unaware who the other actually is besides having the name Thea, while Thea's spotted dem sometime before, and remembered most importantly. Dee slips into hyperfixation mode without even realising it, even if the unknown kitchen is putting a damper on things. Still, dee is able to quickly put up the most important ingredients, while also ...

Only as Ralts pokes Thea regarding the drinks in the fridge does dee notice that there's more writing on the whiteboard- oops. Dee reads while der pokémon and Thea are communicating, before wiping the words and replying,

That sounds good to me. The darker chocolate will provide a good, rich flavour.

And also not exactly what dee prefers, but dee acts unbothered by it - after being reminded that hey, those aren't for der consumption anyway.

As Thea brings out drinks and also sneaks in some chocolate snacks, dee gives Thea two thumbs-up, taking both as offered. The chocolate immediately vanishes into der mouth, with the drink following soon after. If one would care, dee would have, casually of course, taking the drink that's sweeter.

(If one judges dem based on food alone, dee would literally be sugar. But that's also going to work on the mind, anyway. Or that's what dee chooses to believe.)

Fenelle nods as dee ponders the options - out of all, Metagross sounds, just from a boring view, the most intriguing, but dee also thinks that Alakazam might be an interesting choice. I wonder who's writing the PokéDex entries, dee remarks, probably kind of randomly. An IQ of 5000 plus is ridiculous. Almost like you'd put children onto the task and they were simply impressed by someone way smarter than them ... Dee doesn't hear the Vibrava, but there's a prickling sensation on der skin, and dee turns where Morgrem's looking, too - a Vibrava, quickly subdued and caught by Amor and ... a Dragapult! Dee looks at the dragon-type with interest, knowing that it also is of the ghost type which der sibling favours.

And it's honestly kind of funny to have a dual type of the types that are effective amongst themselves.

Dee nods, actually ... I haven't considered Defense too much yet, they admit, feeling silly as dee signs it. Defense has mostly considered in pokémon typings, but seeing Amor, the typechart truly isn't just everything in a battle. (Even if you could really not argue with immunities or extreme weaknesses.) I would be honoured to battle with you, Mr Rose, dee signs upon the battle request, actually quite psyched about that - after all, the only real way to get more battling experience is actually battling! And going against seasoned trainers would be a valuable experience (a frustrating one, too, but der frustration tolerance is really high. Thanks maths). Amor's words do leave dem slightly pensive, as they ponder about what it actually means to be strong. What do you consider strong? dee then also asks bluntly - with Rockets, dee doesn't feel the need to keep every thought to demself, which is a double-edged sword for sure.

The thoughts do lead to dem being a bit more distracted, with Morgrem being quicker on the move towards the Bisharp that has emerged quickly following the Vibrava from before. Dark and Steel ... it would help with Morgrem's weakness for poison, dee ponders, and already has given Morgrem the slight nod. He seems to be more careful, cautious - self-perservation kicking in, making sure not to get too close to those blades that could also ruin his beautiful hair. It might also prove useful ... for other purposes, else. I'm working on a Genesect, whenever I can prove myself. Dee has gotten the info on the general pokémon needed for it, but of course, actually assembling it would need the approval of the higher-ups ...

While dee's signing that to Amor, Morgrem has finished up the Bisharp, having weakened it enough so that Fenelle can easily throw der pokéball to try and capture it.

The gang doesn't, in fact, spot anything interesting, as they're all a bit too distracted by a sudden problem on the way home - apparently, someone has thought it's a good idea to put some gachapon machines on the side of the street that's included in the shortest path from office building to flat.

Fuecoco's already made his way over there, excitedly pointing at the machines and the pictures, while Porygon's already reduced all the pixel distance between it and a certain display, shoving aside a Raichu that's just been having a look at the curious machines. The wild pokémon quickly scurries away at the approach of the rest of the team. I didn't think you're a gambler, dee signs at their Porygon, who only floats there, fixated. We can give it one try.
