Charlotte assure Benji playfully, "I usually go shopping alone so I've gotta be able to carry everything if I want to get it back home. You just need determination and motivation not to drop all of your newly bought clothes on the floor."

She is momentarily taken aback when her hand is shaken, and it takes everything in her not to lose her balance at the unexpected movement, but she nonetheless manages to stay upright. "Benji or Ben," she repeats as she's released.

It's then that the ice cream cones are handed back over and she manoeuvrers her bags to take one. Her eyes then catch on Yamper's and she squeaks out a soft little, "Aww!" at the dog's clear and present suffering.

Her own eyes now wide and sad, she asks Benji, "Shouldn't he get one too?" despite the little creature being the cause of all the chaos.

Charlotte beams and gives Haoyu a bright smile. She wasn't sure what he did for a living but it didn't sound pleasant. Either way, she answers with reassurance, "Let's definitely make it cooking related. Plus then we get to eat, and everyone likes to eat!"

She gives the man a wave with one now barely free hand and chirps out, "Have a good day!" to Haoyu and the worker before bodying her way through the door and back towards her cousin's party.

Applin grumbles merrily as they leave, one last smug look shot towards Alcreamie. Soon there would be delicious desserts to be had and he got to keep his trainer all to himself. A wonderful day all around for the little guy.

Charlotte grins, her eyes bright as she assures Haoyu, "I have total faith you won't need that Cramorant. But if you do use one of those recipes and win a contest you better tell me!" With a sly glance towards Alcremie, Charlotte adds, "You could help him, you know! Everyone needs a mixer and a chiller all in one when you're making your own ice cream."

Her eyes then slowly widen as Haoyu details the secrets of finding the perfect Barraskewda on Melemele. Charlotte gives a quick little nod, looking all the more delighted by Haoyu's expression; she lifts her free hand to mime locking her lips and throwing away the key. Leaning forwards, she whispers impishly, "They'll never know."

As she straightens back up she looks down to her Applin to ask, "Alright you. Ready to go party?" Applin perks up and wags its tail, and Charlotte laughs softly as she murmurs, "Ok let's go."

With that she begins to gather up the assortment of bags rivalling her petite weight.

"Oh," Charlotte pipes up, "If you do run into any problems with a recipe just email me! There's a link at the top."

Charlotte beams - fist at Haoyu and then at the bakery worker who deposits and ungodly amount of pastry boxes onto the counter. Bless her finding the right place after all.

She doesn't move to take her order just yet, listening intently as Haoyu speaks of Alola. "Alola! I've never been but I've always wanted to. They have some amazing poke recipes I'd love to try out sometime." At her own hip Applin peers suspiciously at Alcremie; the weight of mockery rests heavy on the air as the little dragon smugly watches the Alcremie be moved.

Meanwhile, Charlotte pauses for a minute and chews her bottom lip in thought. It was probably harmless giving this stranger her website. The chances of him being weird at her, much less knowing how to use a computer well were probably slim.

"Here," she chirps. "I actually have a website that lists all sorts of recipes. I'm sure you can find something on it." Charlotte pilfers a napkin and pen to write her website address, sakurasweets.com , and hands it to Haoyu. "l know it says sweets but on the side bar there's a section for recipes and it's all sorted out by meal types! Each one has a video too if you want to see it made."

"Hello sweetie," Charlotte coos as the Alcremie toddles over; she grins as the is lifted into her trainers arms, but nonetheless offers a little indulgent wave before focusing on Haoyu. "I think she's perfect," Charlotte assures the man. "I have one of my own - well a Milcery - she's helping chill ice cream for a party."

A soft grumble from the Applin tucked under her side draws down Charlotte's attention, and she scolds gently, "Don't be jealous."

Pursing her lips, she finally nods and agrees, "It's very flaky! And pretty sweet but not too sweet. The persim should cut down on the honey's sweetness but it should be a pretty good balance of the two."

"I like to eat it with a cappuccino when I make baklava," she continues. "But a nice early grey with it too!"

Charlotte grins in delight - Benji with his Yamper is adorable. Resisting the urge to scoop up the Yamper and take him home, she forces herself back towards the board displaying all of the flavours.

Her face skews up for a moment in concentration before she beams at the nearby worker and says with a laugh, "Hi again. Can I get a coffee ice cream and a black cherry one too, please?" As their order is made, she begins to rummage through her purse, a truly impressive feat with all those bags still in her hands, and produces a card.

At Benji's ribbing, her own eyes widen as she stares at him. She blushes with something somewhere between embarrassment and delight at the whole of the development. "I'm Charlotte," she says merrily, a hand thrusting towards Benji to shake his. Her smile morphing into a cheeky grin, she continues, "What's your name? I should know who I'm sharing ice cream with too, you know."

Charlotte checked her phone twice to compare the address written on her screen to that of the bakery. She squinted once for good measure, sounding out the bakery's name and checking her screen once more. This had to be the place, right? She wished she was better at written Hoennite but it was a bit late for that now.

"What do you think?" she asks the Applin hitched against her side. The little dragon gives the equivalent of an apple-y shrug and Charlotte gives a worried nod. She hopes it's the place.

Pushing open the bakery's door she breathes in deeply and lets out a pleased sigh at the wonderful scents perfuming the air. Flashing a charming smile for the worker behind the counter she announces cheerfully, "I'm here for the Sakuragi order?"

The worker disappears into the back, hopefully to hunt up the birthday cake for her little cousin, and Charlotte glances over to the older man peering at the selections in the case. Unable to help herself, she chirps excitedly, "You should try the persim baklava, the honey drizzle will make it heavenly!"

Charlotte laughs, her expression bright as she watches the Yamper scarf down the fallen ice cream. At least someone got to enjoy it. Looking up to Benji she gives a little shake of her head as she assures him, "It was ruined anyways when I ran into you."

Her expression falters at she takes in Benji's own, though she nonetheless holds open the door for him and his Yamper to enter the ice cream shop.

"Their strawberry is really good," she chatters, undeterred in replacing her ice cream. "And the coffee flavoured, too." Tipping her head up, she chirps, "Which flavour would you like? My treat!"

Relief colours Charlotte as they rejoin the group - the danger of breaking their necks on the trail now far behind them, she hazards an excited wave at the camera suddenly pointed her way.

Looking up at the sound of Sevastian's voice, Charlotte gives a little laugh as she answers, "I'm just glad you came to find me." Her hand extends to take his, and she chirps out a bright, "See you around."

With that, she then beams at her Mudkip and laughs out, "We need a bath, huh? Let's go!"

Charlotte looks equal parts relieved and embarrassed as Benji confirms he's free of ice cream. She glances over to see his Yamper gobbling up the sweet treat and is only comforted by the fact that she didn't purchase any flavour that would make the Pokemon sick.

"Well," she laughs out, her face a touch red, "I'm glad someone got to enjoy it." Slowly, as if a cat prying out their claws from a cushion, she carefully release Benji's arms once certain she won't topple over.

Huffing softly, she then leans over and calls, "Come on Milcery." Beckoning the Pokemon over, she offers the remains of her cone and then glances thoughtfully back towards the ice cream store.

"Want some ice cream?" she asks Benji on a whim.

"It's pretty quiet," Charlotte answers, her grip tightening on Sevastian as she stumbles again on the uneven trail. "I like it though!"

She gives a quick little nod at the following question, her eyes briefly pressing shut and a look of misery overcoming her features before she pushes it away. "I'm alright," she chirps just a touch too high. "This is more excitement than I was expecting when I got out of bed this morning."

"I hope we're near the bottom. Do you think we're near the bottom?"
[break][break]
Perhaps in answer to her prayers, all of the sudden it seems the soot clears enough to see that just a bit below the trail levels off to the trailhead where a gathering of people stand. "Oh, look look look," Charlotte exclaims, one arm tightening around her Paldea Wooper at the sight.

Charlotte's brow furrows minutely as she asks, "What do you mean?" She in turn looks around the area as Sevastian does, trying to find what he's looking for but having no idea what that is. Nonetheless, she follows along the poorly marked trail.

Looking up, she flashes an embarrassed smile as she admits, "Oh, yes. I suppose it's pretty obvious. We're from Kitakami." She gives her Wooper a little squeeze for emphasis.

"I hope we're going in the right way," she suddenly squeaks as she trips over the loose dirt of the trail. Her voice rises as she speaks, words rushing together to betray her concern about the situation.

Adding to their predicament, another wave of ash obscures their vision; pulling at their clothes, she only just barely keeps her hat again.

"Blind leading the blind," Charlotte assures Sevastian - because if he could see through this storm he was either a wizard or a Pokemon.

"Thank you," she babbles as she notices he's caught her hat. "Does this happen often?" She can't remember reading about eruptions and ground shaking being listed as attractions for the area from what she had read online. She definitely should have taken her chances going the Ever Grande Draciary and playing with some baby dragons instead of being covered head to toe in soot.

Her hand clutches Sevastian's arm tighter, deeply grateful that he has an umbrella to shield them from the worst of the storm. She's pretty sure her clothes are ruined, but at least it's just clothing and not like, herself.

Charlotte could see back behind her there was some to-do with cameras and a small crowd, but she was focused instead on drinking in the beauty of the volcanic landscape around her. Phone in hand and myriad pictures snapped, the suddenness of the rumbling earth threw Charlotte off balance.

Nearly falling, and only just avoiding cracking her phone's screen, she manages to steady herself on a nearby rock as Mount Chimney in the distance spews ash and soot into the air. "That can't be good," she mutters to herself, her brew furrowing as she watches the oncoming storm.
[break][break]
At her feet a Paldean Wooper gives an uncertain huff and then turns, slapping the ground with his tail in an fruitless Mud Slap to avert the oncoming ash. "Nice try, Mousse," Charlotte whispers earnestly as she dips to pick up the Pokemon and scurry further down the trail.

One hand wrapped around her Pokemon and the other keeping her hat firmly in place, Charlotte has only just reached Sevastian when a wave of soot slams into them. Losing her hat, she reaches out to grab the man's forearm and call above the storm, "Let's go!" as she tries to drag him back towards the base of the trail.
