He felt something wet drip onto his forehead, and he stopped moving. Frowning deeply as he realized perhaps he wasn't out of the woods just yet. Rather than shy away however, he grabbed the nearest clunk of anything for a weapon, and then against the common sense most would have....He looked upwards towards the source of the dripping water.

The mech was in full battle mode against its giant foe, which didn't seem eager to stay down. Still he continued to explore the mech making sure no further pests got inside.

The clash was powerful against both pokemon, his Hound forming a staff of energy to combat the barrage of attacks, but it wasn't enough, and he was steadily pushed back.

Gaius for his part was struck harshly by the kick, and almost on queue the Scizors final attack would find the gap in his Hounds defenses, and send the Lucario flying into it's trainer.

Being struck suddenly by the full force of his pokemon sent him careening through a door, and sprawled out. Gaius was unconcious from the sheer impact, and the surprise of being caught off guard.

His Hound did not fare much better, and for the next little bit they were both down for the count.

What others wanted wasn't a concern of his.

The world didn't care about what you wanted, it simply would act in accordance with it's own will. That was the simple truth of all life, you survived the world, or it killed you.

That was why Gaius didn't care about anything except for the fight in front of him. Why he was able to smile.

So when the deep strike came in, he felt the burning pain in his ribs as the knife sank in, but the smile on his lips never faded. This was a fight, this was what it meant to be alive.

To feel yourself clawing away from the grasp of death.

Quickly he snapped a palm underneath his opponents elbow, and another on his forearm, and with all his strength, using the knife in his side as even more leverage. He attempted to force the mans arm apart, and break the limb from the elbow down.

Gaius might not be able to fight at full capacity past this, but neither would his opponent.

Still whether his attack succeeded or failed, he would stumble backwards. The knife still lodged in his side. A souvenir of this glorious battle he would smile at the other.

"I will find you again....This is not enough for me....But there is someone else on this field that can slake my thirst." He states to Kouji, and starts to move away from him.

His Lucario using it's speed nimbly avoids the Psychic Fangs, and return to his masters side.

He had seen the light in the peripheral of his vision. A light that only a select few could properly command. A light that made someone the apex of a battle.

Gaius even in his wounded state sought the battle of that Apex. Mindless constructs were no better than the materials they were made of. No what he sought was there, and it was a man squaring off against two others. His Aerodactyl was beautiful in all of it's savage glory raining rocks down upon their foes.

A man that could fight multiple enemies at once was surely worth his time. This man could sate his hunger.

"Go...." He gave the command to his faithful Hound, and it used Copycat to copy the Rock Slide, and it attempted to hit Monroe, PETRA MONROE , and Eduardo Hisakawa all at once along with that flying beast.

"You....You can sate my thirst." Gaius said, and he squared up against this stranger that he had never met before, and those who might be caught in the crossfire.

TLDR
Kouji Matsubara stabs Gaius in the ribs, but in return Gaius tries to break Kouji's arm!
Gaius with a knife in his side sees Monroe doing battle 2v1 with his Mega Aerodactyl, and appreciates that level of strength.
New Target acquired!
Gaius squares up to Monroe!
Lucario uses Copycat to copy Rock Slide, in order to rain down more hell on everyone, and on Monroe himself!
If PETRA MONROE Eduardo Hisakawa get caught in the crossfire that is a sacrifice Gaius is willing to make.

These were pests, crawling inside the thing, each blow of the battle tossed his form against the walls, but that would do little to stop him.

Pain was proof that he was alive.

It was proof that he could still fight.

So he continued onward to find the pests, tracking them by their sound alone.

Whatever he found he would greet it the same as he did anyone, or anything else.

Violence was never the answer. Just the question.

"One should always be prepared for enemies." He stated to the other, and the moment he realized he was about to be thrown. He shank down, centered his core of gravity, and would be much heavier to throw.

Tying his opponent up at this close a range he would attempt to headbutt him.

The Scizor would come charging towards his Lucario with a Bullet Punch, but unknown to the bug his Lucario would Copycat the move, and charge right back at it with it's own Bullet Punch matching the metal coated bug blow for blow.

This was how a battle should be. Gaius didn't care about any of the objectives, he didn't care about anyone else. This was the one who rose to meet him head on, and so their battle would echo through the ship.

The resounding sound of the Wooper outside, and something slithering around. It should have unnerved him, but why would it? There was a challenge to be had, an opponent to defeat. If it wouldn't show itself then he would force it out.

Though he had no way to do that, that wouldn't risk his own life....

While he may not care about the others onboard he didn't feel like dying yet.

Meanwhile his ever faithful Lucario picked up another treasure.

So he strode boldly forth into the darkness of darkness where, his potential enemy slithered. Red eyes scanning the darkness so that he could find it sooner.

It would take time for them to adjust, but all the same they would do so. Adversity was how one got stronger, and so he would take on this new challenge while the mecha outside fought it's ferocious foe.
