"Because, you know I was right." Hunu responded, firm with his answer as he sat across from Howard. It seemed that the acquisition of the secondary goliath had contributed to the Admin's change, that or the consistent jumping. He wasn't quite sure, putting a case on a table beside him. The Mercenary opened it, and selected a cigar from his collection. Holding it out for his Incineroar to slice at the end, and light it. The Alolan plucked the cigar to his lips, and stared across at Howard for a moment.

"Like I told that tainted leaguer, don't confuse me for some grunt like those two. I have value, and you know it. Want to know what your issue is? Despite it all, you still give those that you have ties to, a chance." Tangaroa responded, as he puffed a plume from his lips and into the air. He leaned back in his chair, dwarfing what he sat on. He was still wounded, but like always he acted as if he were fine and unaffected by the accumulated damage.

"You knew from the get go what you were getting into, when buying my services. I could have had him too, on his knees but you wanted to prove a point. Stop thinking of me as a lesser, and see me as an equal. I don't do shit, with no reason." Hunu hummed, as he nudged the case across the table toward Howard. "But I'm sure you have some form of, speech. So, enlighten me."

"Always.." Hunu responded, in exchange the man traded something off. He used the life force of civilians and those around him, outside of the opposition and Hitoshi. Like a calamity of power, the trainer was filled with unburdened energy at the sacrifice of others. With a heave, he reeled his head back and felt his muscles pulse. Like a pseudo-avatar state, the Alolan hummed as he felt himself feeding off of the life force and energy of others.

"That's the stuff." The Mercenary hummed, as his eyes flickered gently. With a step, the little vegetation left around the surrounding area shriveled. A clenched fist, as he took another step, as the energy inside of the pseudo-avatar fluctuated violently. Malice permeated the air as he marched forward, toward his objective. A grin, plastered upon his lips.

"Let's break some skulls, pup."

The rock type waited, it seemed a lot of Pokemon and Trainer's seemed to value speed above all else. Tactics, Speed, all of it funneled into the same thing. However, there was always a fundamental flaw with these things. They would always come in close. Awaiting, the Rock Type endured the explosive speed from the Lucario. The wolf's head, slowly turned with the blow, before rag dolling around in the air.

Spinning in place, the Rock Type used the momentum of the Extreme Speed to spin with immense torque. Violently, the Wolf performed a violent axe kick with the use of Counter. Attempting to hit the Lucario with amplified power, and using their own force against them to violently send them back.

The doppelgangers faded upon the Lucario landing their strike! "Speed ain't everything, prick."

Laid out, the Alolan continued to feel the drumming beat that throbbed in his heart and psyche. A figure, outlined in front of him.. her touch was so soft, she felt so comforting. Her presence was enough to calm Titans, it was enough to calm him.. his heart twisted and bottom lip quivered even under the effects of unconsciousness. He couldn't help but reach out, a light that illuminated a path.. however, before he was able to accept the hand. A voice rang, "It's not your time yet, Hunu.", how could such a comforting and welcoming smile cause so much pain. He ached, as the light faded.. Tangaroa's eyes flickered to a world of chaos again. The wound on his skull, although split was cauterized shut with the effects of the Avatar. Unbeknownst to him, he felt every emotion wash back over him.

". . ." Silence, he didn't speak as he was in a state similar to that of Shellshock. He watched as both Giant's laid waste to the City, he felt like shutting his eyes again even if it meant that. But that would be a dream, that he could never awake from. What was the point? The Mercenary pushed themselves to their feet, with a stumble. He held his waist, and winced. This Raid pushed him to his limit, however the day hadn't ended and he could still accrue some hazard pay. He felt his hands shake, his hardened bone marrow shiver, and the taste of red filled his mouth and stained his gums. He heaved, with every step.

One, two, three. He hobbled, Tangaroa snarled underneath his breath as he made his way toward his target. He felt the earth shake to its core, as he kicked dirt with every step. Their sprained ankle, dragging behind him as he continued to heave and wail. A closed eye, as it was stained with his own blood, mixed with the fluids that hydrated his eye. The Mercenary huffed, standing behind an ally. With a shaking breath, a hand was placed at the back of the man's head. "You done, crashing out?"

He asked, he felt his legs wobble. Yet still forced himself to stand, he looked down at the Star of this Raid. "We won." He croaked, a split riding from his chin to his top lip. 

Tangaroa continued with his attempt, grinning as he had almost bit down on his tongue as Isaac had countered with a knee. Good, the kid was scrappy. Hunu could appreciate another individual who would grit their teeth, and swing back on him just as much as he would. “That’s a first, everybody in this region has some God Decided role. Where’s the pride in being just YOU?!” Hunu barked out loudly, he felt the eyes of the Titans on both him and the Leaguer. He grumbled, he didn’t want Howard interfering, if he couldn’t swing back earlier why come fight when they’re distracted! Although lacking emotion, the Mercenary felt a wash of ignorance flood his body. Almost ignoring the danger as he lacked the self preservation due to his lack of fear.

He grappled with Isaac, swinging his arm into his as he grinned. With imminent danger continuing to loom over the battle, the Trainer for the first time grinned at the Leaguer. “We’ll fight next time.” He boasted, as the Avatar had attempted to sweep the Alolan. He quickly attempted to perform a heavy front kick to Isaac’s chest, to throw him out of the direction of the attack. Within a hair’s length, the attack would have missed and it was as if Hunu had pushed the Avatar out of the way. Violently, the explosion missed its original target and found itself in close proximity of the Alolan. He lacked that self preservation, and stared at it.. Lack of Fear was a hell of a thing.

Like a rag doll, the Alolan was thrown around into the dirt like a small ball of fire. Spinning around violently before his momentum was stopped by a boulder, almost imprinting his body and cracking the stone from impact. Hunu laid slumped on the boulder, red trickled from his head and body. Was he unconscious, or dead?

“You're right, that was a weird thing to say. I'm the upgrade.” Tangaroa responded, his eyes traced around the figure which was Isaac's physique as he evaded his strikes. He was quick on his feet, nimble, while Hunu knew he had his limits in comparison. Still, he wasn't all muscle for nothing. Feeling the man graze his shoulder, the Alolan immediately pivoted themselves and twisted. His upper body moving as his lower half twisted close behind, his arm and shoulder raised as he pushed his arm out. Attempting to grab Isaac by the shoulder, in attempt to push their thumb between the crevice that connected the arm and upper body. "Don't confuse me for some grunt." Tangaroa calmly responded, before violently thrusting himself forward in tandem with trying to bring Isaac forward. The Mercenary attempted to slam their forehead forward into the bridge of the Avatar's nose.

The brute knew his limits, and nine out of ten times he knew that this man held a will which would defeat him in a Pokemon Battle. He could tell just by trading blows, a man such as Merlo outclassed him in experience and power. He was still new to the region, but there was something Emzar placed all his chips in on winning. "You think you're special, because you're scrappy?" The Alolan asked with a dead pan expression, hoping to use this moment to move both his hands to a shoulder each. If Merlo wanted to wrestle, he would give what the boy wanted.

"Then beat me, because you're all the same Meat Bags to me!" The mercenary barked, "Another day to fight? Resistance makes humanity stronger, so you better grit your teeth and break mine!" He roared, trying to push off of Isaac for a moment with his left and perform an open palm swing. Hoping to hit with a cupped slap to Merlo's ear, in attempt to discombobulate him! "Because I do this, for the money and thrill."
