Naturally, since Froschl is a Froggiursa, he could breathe underwater. Both he and Katharina are firmly convinced by this, and frankly. He also could hold his breath for an insane amount of time ... and naturally, frogs don't only live in water, too, so surfacing is natural.

"Are you going to be fine with the salt water, though?" they ask their partner pensively. This can't be good for their furry smooth honey-sticky slimy "skin" ...

  • female, expresses flavours of it in pronouns. doesn't care what others use for her.

  • from the colloquially called tower coven in pinwheel forest, unova. as the name suggests, the community of The Sturmes Turm(es) (The Storm's Tower) lives in a wizard tower like structure (with some more ground housing and buildings). specialised physicists, they achieved incredible results with the help of pokémon like metagross, but also live rather close to nature. have a traditional, close-to-nature lifestyle. spiritual and superstituious, but not religious. so many odd rulings.

  • impulse-driven. thoughts do not linger long in her mind, and she usually acts according to first emotional beats. has a scarily accurate intuition but it's not always correct. has many wrong opinions and superstitions you'll need to pry from her dead cold fingers.

  • research and work is the methodical and rational exception - while it's still hard to sway her from her gut feeling, she's able to distance herself somewhat.

  • works under as nurse and assistant, and either accompanies him when he's needed elswehere or holds the fort in petalburg. competent at her job as she's good at following orders and has little hesitation - if something needs to be done, she will get it done. her intuition also often correctly identifies smaller ailments.

  • firmly believes that her froggiursa is an ecologically similiar pokémon to teddiursa. neither she nor froschl (the "froggiursa") budge on this. released several articles in the tower's paper with little success to convince her peers.

  • loves tattoos. a bit too much. got some really stupid ones on a whim (like a pizza slice), tries to pretend that they are all temporary by adding silly temporary tattoos. there's constants, however (like the pizza slice).

  • harsh demeanour but easily softened by kindness and patience. easily mistaken for mafia if her most intimidating tattoos are visible and she glares (looks neutral).

The Sturmes Turm

  • located deep within the pinwheel forest of unova.

  • a coven of (physicist) witches that live in a wizards tower. essentially. make incredible progress in physics with the help of pokémon like metagross, rotom and porygon.

  • a humble and simple lifestyle reminiscent of ages ago. technologically advanced for their experiments, but only there. got rotom phones in 2023 which quickly became a pillar in their society.

  • publish a monthly research/community paper where updates to ongoing projects and general community news are posted. previously hung on a central blackboard, but it's digital now.

  • bread nerds. following bread starter traditions of growing and sharing, each member is eligible for a pokémon starter that is a descendant from one of the original pokémon that helped build the structure.

  • superstitious as heck, e.g. employ weather politoeds (one politoed's singular task is predicting the weather by climbing up a ladder if it's going to be dry, and staying on the ground if it's gonna be wet. they're wrong most of the time). feed the local garbodor, muk etc any noodle salad that sat through a thunder storm because it's gone bad. avoid the numbers 4 (is PI or 3b or 5a) and 13 as much as possible outside of physics experiments. knowledgeable about exorcism and prayers and adhere to principles of feng shui. empty your plate or else it'll rain tomorrow. tuck in completely and the bed monster ain't got shit on you. etc pp.
