Out of all the things Blaine expected to stumble across this far down into the dark cave was another person. The detective had been pretty sure he'd be the only one down this far down due to it being kind of dangerous to just wander around in a pitch black cave. But yet as a voice spoke out for him to lower the weapon as a joke it seemed that he did in fact come across someone else. Not wanting to continue to blind the person he immediately lowered the light, pointing the flashlights beam at the ground. [break][break]

From the brief glimpse that he got of the woman across from him while she was being blinded by the light he didn't really recognize her at all. Even her voice didn't seem to ring any bells, what were the odds of coming across someone he actually knew down here anyway?[break][break]

While he couldn't see super good right now the Noctowl could at least and tilted its head as it stared at the woman and her lycanroc. The other pokemon not even noticed by Blaine yet.[break][break]

While the owl could see perfectly fine this night the pokemon wasn't out at all the night Blaine's office was broken into and the thief escaped. Perhaps if it had been it might of recognized something about the pair but alas the only one besides Blaine that saw anything was his Swanna who was currently in the pc.[break][break]

Reaching a hand up to scratch at the back of his head Blaine let out a little chuckle, trying to look around the cave. "Oh shit, I'm really sorry about that. Didn't mean to blind ya, I didn't really think id find anyone else down here." A few short seconds after the man finished saying that the whispers of Red or Blue slipped out from the shadows. Caught off guard by the random voice the man just blurted out an answer to the question, calling out into the darkness with a "Red?" [break][break]

The color was the first one that popped into his head after answering the question, maybe it was his favorite color or it was because of the reddish hue of the woman in front of him's hair?[break][break]

The realization that this was actually all a dream was probably the best thing that came from this whole experience the collective group was going through. It meant that no matter what everyone and their pokemon would be fine once this was all over with and they ere awoken. With all the carnage that had just occurred from the Hoopa's hoops chasing people Blaine was just happy that everyone was alright and more then likely waking up in the real world now. [break][break]

It seemed that between his Garchommp flying as well as the attacks his pokemon and Illeana's ninetails launched at the hoops chasing them had spared the two of them from the hoops' paths of destruction. Coming to a stop the detective's Garchomp landed back on the stage, letting the two humans on it get down now that the hoops were retracted. [break][break]

Although it wasn't until they were actually on the ground that Blaine realized that darkrai had entered the fight. The assumption that someone managed to get the bottle open wasn't really a hard one to make. With Darkrai here to help with the battle things would probably be coming to an end really soon, a thought that was only backed up by the Darkrai's call of wake him up followed by a dark void attack.[break][break]

With a slight shrug of his shoulders Blaine turned to Illeana again, chiming in with a quick "I guess its time to get this over with yea?" Turning his attention back to the Hoopa Blaine took a brief moment to think of what attacks to use. "Well if we gotta wake it up, Strider use another Dream Eater. Grace go use Dragon Claw to help too."[break][break]

As what would hopefully be his final commands of the battle were given Blaine's pokemon sprung into action, the Garchomp darting through the air at full speed again with its claws glowing a bright green, intent to fly past the remaining hoops and attack the Hoopa. Noctowl on the other hand simply flew upwards again, looking at the Hoopa as its eyes began to glow a dark red color, the same glow appearing on the Hoopa as the dream eater attack was attempted.[break][break]

[tl;dr: Was glad this was all a dream cause damn a lot of people died, landed on the stage with his garchomp so him and illeana reyes can get off since the hoops arent chasing them anymore then said some stuff to her again, had noctowl use one more dream eater and garchomp charged in at full speed with dragon claw. ooc roll against evan fader ][break][break]

While the Garchomp's flight was able to protect the two of them from the hyper beam and the runaway train it did bring a slight problem when it came to Hoopa's retaliation against everyone. Sure the beam and the train were gone now but the legendary had sent out hoops to chase down the remaining trainers, and well with Blaine and Illeana together that meant there were gonna be two hoops chasing after them.[break][break]

Once the realization set in that they were getting chased by not just one but two hoops Blaine swore under his breath slightly trying to form the best plan he could.[break][break]

Reaching a hand down to his belt while still on the flying dragon's back Blaine tapped a pokeballs button, releasing Ludicolo behind him and down on the solid ground of the stage. "Just energy ball the rings!" He called out quickly, giving the grass and water type a simple order to just start blasting. As the Ludicolo began its attacks Blaine added onto the commands, instructing his Noctowl to use Extrasensory to attack the hoops, and having Garchomp prep its fangs for a fire fang attack if the rings came too close to its flight path.[break][break]

With the other commands given the Noctowl became surrounded in spiraling rings of golden energy as it flew along side its trainer, a bit away so it wasn't in danger of getting shredded by a hoop. The Extrasensory attacks going off whenever one of the hoops approached the two trainers, a quick flash of white energy exploding on the hoops the moment they appeared.[break][break]

As they dodged the hoops another idea flashed through Blaine's mind, not thinking too much about the repercussions he threw Torterra's pokeball as high into the air as he could, the giant turtle being released above Hoopa. "Woodhammer!" He called out while flying back, not getting to actually see the pokemon come down on top of the Hoopa with the tree on its back radiating bright green energy. [break][break]

[tl;dr: Told illeana reyes to hang on cause since they're together two hoops are coming for them,Sent out ludicolo then ludicolo used energy ball to hit hoops chasing the two of them, Noctowl flies alongside them and uses extrasensory to attack the hoops chasing them as they show up, Garchomp ready to use fire fang if hoop appears in front of it, Yeets torterras pokeball into the air as he flies by, sends it out above hoopa to fall down on it and use woodhammer. I did the iou eyyy ][break][break]

Seeing the rings go down brought a bit of disappointment to Blaine's mind, sure some of the rings were gone but not all of them. The only two remaining rings were also the two he didn't really have a type to attack them with. Sure Garchomp could attack the purple ring but that would require making the pokemon stop chasing after the bottle. He'd just have to let the other people in the area handle the rings now.[break][break]

With the grass and water rings were already gone the detective returned his Ludicolo back to its ball, not wanting to leave anything out without a purpose for too long in this nightmare realm. Replacing the dancing pokemon the man sent out his Noctowl, a strange idea forming in his head. If this was all a nightmare what would happen if he used dream eater on the Hoopa?[break][break]

However his idea would have to wait a few moments as the remaining rings began doing other stuff, a damn train going after the people in pursuit of the bottle. Out of the other ring a strange but scarily big pokemon emerged from it. Since it came out of Hoopa's rings he was already pretty sure it was't here to help them at all. Returning his Torterra Blaine yelled out a few quick things, "Grace grab us cmon, Strider go up and use Dream Eater."[break][break]

Turning his head to Illeana he threw in another quick suggestion for her. "You should hang onto ninetails or return it. Might wanna return eevee too." A few moments after he finished and the hyper beam began the man's Garchomp would swoop in and attempt to snatch the two trainers up to get them to safety. Noctowl on the other hand soared up into the air above the hyper beam before its eyes began to glow red, the same glow slightly connecting to Hoopa as well as Guzzlord. If this really was a dream they were gonna take the gamble and see if trying to force them awake could do anything.[break][break]

[tl;dr: Returned torterra and ludicolo, sent noctowl out instead. Suggests illeana reyes either return or hold onto her ninetails then had garchomp abandon the chase for the bottle and fly over to try to scoop up him, illeana and her ninetails out of the way of the hyperbeam. Cant hit any of the remaining rings so has Noctowl use Dream Eater on hoopa and guzzlord to see what happens. ][break][break]

Despite everything that happened once the howling subsided, even with the appearance of the huge form of Hoopa, as well as the arrivals of the guy Illeana previously invited to tag along with them and some creepy as hell zombie manectric Blaine couldn't help but smile slightly. It was probably the exact opposite reaction you would expect someone to have in a situation like this, it was a living nightmare after all. But seeing his new friend making her way back up to her feet with the desire to keep fighting was enough to bring the smile to his face through all this. [break][break]

Looking around at what was going on for a moment Blaine analyzed the situation, the zombie guy seemingly had enough people going after him already. At first he wasn't sure what the colored rings with Hoopa could mean since he wasn't paying attention to the locks but once people began hitting the rings with specific types it all kind of clicked. Everything seemed kind of covered really, he could still at least help out with some things, maybe even use a flier to snag that bottle.[break][break]

Reaching down to his belt Blaine tapped three pokeballs; releasing his Garchomp, Torterra and Ludicolo in front of him. While the first two pokemon did seem intimidating and sort of fit the serious vibe the latter dancing pokemon grooving around seemed a tab bit out of place.[break][break]

Glancing back over to Illeana Blaine couldn't help but keep the smile on his face, "Its no problem I was just doing what I could, you're right though lets end this so we can wake up already." With that said he turned his attention back to the ongoing chaos and his pokemon, leaving her with a few more words. "I was serious about earlier by the way we should meet up sometime after this, get a coffee and meet for real or something."[break][break]

Addressing his pokemon finally Blaine stepped forward a tad bit, having barely made up his mind on what to do. Right now he didn't have time to think too long on this he had to hurry up and act. "Grace, I want you to go try to grab that bottle. Kiwi, Folia you two..back up some of the people on the rings, Hydro Pump the blue and Giga Drain the green, don't get too far from me though." [break][break]

With their orders given the detective's pokemon sprung into action, Garchomp leaping up before flying through the air at a high speed, trying to snag the bottle to bring back to its trainer. Torterra and Ludicolo on the other hand would fire off attacks at some of the floating rings to help out. The two pokemon opening their mouths and spewing attacks forth, a dark green beam from Torterra and a powerful blast of water from Ludicolo's. As well Torterra didn't move at all from the spot it was sent out in, standing a bit in front of Blaine and Illeana as extra protection.[break][break]

[tl;dr: Sent out Torterra, Garchomp and Ludicolo. Said more stuff to illeana reyes, sent Garchomp flying after bottle. Ludicolo and Torterra attacked blue and green hoops respectively, with hydro pump and giga drain. Torterra also is in front of blaine and illeana for protection.][break][break]

In retrospect what happened to all the pokemon outside of the elevators seemed like something that they should of expected. The huge fireball that was going after them was in theory enough to take out the actual elevators that they all stood in so what it could do to their pokemon should of been obvious. Despite that Blaine didn't even begin to think about what could of happened to all the creatures outside, including his own that was sent out for what was ultimately something completely useless. [break][break]

The heal pulse didn't even do anything at all, the entire thing was just a waste of his Slowking's life. The hope that this really was just some nightmare trap for Darkrai was an even greater through in his head now.[break][break]

However as the elevators reached the new floor and everyone began stepping out Blaine tried his best to put on a tough appearance, to make it seem like he wasn't actually torn up inside over losing his Raichu and Slowking. As he stepped out of the elevator Blaine took in the sight of the weird stage they all now seemed to be on, the even stranger floating bluish limbs around the area confusing him more then anything else. The detective had no answer at all for what those could be, or what pokemon they could even belong to.[break][break]

Going back into his thoughts for a moment Blaine took inventory of what pokemon he had left, only four of the pokeballs on his belt actually held anything in them now. If this really was some hellish nightmare he'd get Raichu and Slowking back when he woke up, at least he still had some heavy hitters on his team that could help with whatever the next obstacle was. [break][break]

As the man stood around thinking about his losses the realization that every pokemon out there and not just his one was now gone, the realization immediately making him think about his newly found friend. She had sent out seemingly everything she had. Turning his attention to where Illeana had once been he was met with the sight of the girl already on the ground holding her ninetails. [break][break]

Stepping a bit closer to her Blaine knelt down by her side before wrapping her in a hug, losing almost all of your pokemon all at once like that had to be terrible. "Hey if this is some trap for that Darkrai thing everything will be back to normal when we all wake up, your time with them isn't over yet. I know this is all horrible but you don't have to fight through this anymore just stay here with Nintetails, I said i'll get us two out of here and I'm sticking by that." After that little speech Blaine released the hug not wanting to push any boundaries.[break][break]

[tl;dr: Thought about how messed up this all is and how slowking went for nothing cause heal pulse cant fix metal blaine, saw the shape illeana reyes was in and gave her a hug while saying some stuff about this being a dream and getting the two of them out of here.][break][break]

Having someone to stick by through this was pretty beneficial for Blaine too. While he wasn't exactly scared of the situation now that they were just in an elevator instead of facing off against a horde of zombies, the company and the motivation to keep them safe that came with it was enough to keep his mind off of what happened to poor Raichu for the moment. "Its no problem, I'm gonna try to at least get us both through all this after all." It was easy to tell that there was nothing but truth behind the detective's words.[break][break]

As their elevator went upwards and the messages on the wall were revealed he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, a little bit of regret running through his mind. Having everyone stick together made so much sense, splitting up the group was a big no no in practically every situation. If he wasn't so out of it from the events that happened outside the castle he might of thought to mention it to everyone, but it was too late now for regrets.[break][break]

For a few moments Blaine stood around thinking, watching other people around him send out pokemon to do various things outside the elevators. From what he could see of what exactly shot the huge fireball that was approaching them he doubted that any of them had something with the kind of power to actually put out the fire. [break][break]

While he thought he focused on what another guy in the elevator was saying, about this all being a nightmare and they'd wake up at the end. It did make a bit of sense, while he didn't hear everything that the man who just spoke did due to being lost in his thoughts, to his knowledge Darkrai's powers had something to do with dreams and nightmares. If this was really a trap for the legendary then things were probably a bit more dire then he thought.[break][break]

Having made up his mind on what he planned to do Blaine reached down and tapped one of the pokeballs on his belt, his Slowking appearing outside the elevator. The thought of actually attacking the other chains had only briefly entered his mind, his whole current path in life was to help people and he was going to at least continue to try that. All his thoughts were just over what exactly he could do to help. Turning his head to look over at Illeana again he muttered out a simple, "So I think I have an idea to keep our chain good, I don't know if it'll work out. But hey if we do make it out of here and this is all just a dream we should hang out sometime." Just a nice thought to go out on if things went bad for this elevator.[break][break]

"Alright Pinky, use heal pulse on our elevator." The detective called out with a look of slight concern on his face, he had literally no idea if heal pulse would help. Not having time to argue the Slowking simply raised its arms up in front of itself, emitting a faint blue and green glow that gently enveloped the elevator and its chain in an attempt to repair it. [break][break]

[tl;dr: Refused to attack any of the other chains, didnt become a detective to hurt people nahh, didn't think they could put out the fireball, said things to illeana reyes yet again new friends whatsup, believed the whole its a nightmare thing Balder Schwartz said, sent out Slowking to use heal pulse to try to repair anything done to their chain.]

A panic that never came close to anything Blaine had felt before ran through him as he helplessly saw the horde attack his Raichu, even with multiple presses of the button on his pokeball to try to return the pokemon it was too late for his faithful companion. The moment he actually saw Raichu go down the detective had to divert his eyes, he couldn't watch this. Holding his other pokeball into the air the man returned his Noctowl to the ball he had already lost one of the pokemon that had been with him for years and he wasn't going to lose another today. [break][break]

Blaine was actually kind of out of it after his Raichu went down, he didn't realize the door to the building behind them was open until people already began pouring inside. Once they were inside he didn't even really pay attention to the interior of the building they were now in, the shock of losing his Raichu all of a sudden was still overwhelming him.[break][break]

It wasn't until Illeana spoke up that Blaine was snapped out of his thoughts. Shaking his head a little bit he gave the girl the best smile he could, before looking around the inside of the building. The three elevators caught his attention first, only one of them really standing out as a choice for him. "Thanks, I'll be along in a bit, just need a second.." He muttered out in response, his eyes scanning the area yet again.[break][break]

He had to do his best to just keep on going, to figure out what was going on and try to get out of here. If he didn't then everything that he just went through, including the loss of Raichu was pointless. If Raichu really was gone the man didn't want it to be for nothing.[break][break]

The only elevator that made sense for him in his own mind was the nerd elevator. The middle elevator didn't really fit him, and he wasn't necessarily a jock. Studying and pouring over case files day and night and all the work it took him to become a detective sort of made the elevator fit.[break][break]

Making his way to the nerd elevator Blaine squeezed his way inside, coming to a rest right next to Illeana. "Looks like we're still in this together huh?" Even if the elevator didn't really fit him for some reason he planned to stick with her through this anyway.[break][break]

[tl;dr: Saw raichu die and broke a bit, zoned out inside and said stuff to illeana reyes still, went into the nerdevator ]

At the moment Blaine didn't really have any case at all he was working on at all, so the man decided to just take a day off to himself and explore some place in the region. For today's little expedition Blaine had made his way over to Dewford and eventually into the Granite Cave. While the cave was by no means a new place in the area it was just somewhere that the Detective had never really been before. [break][break]

Doing his best to be prepared for whatever hazards the cave would have inside Blaine had brought a backpack full of supplies just in case. Inside the bag were such things as rope, a flashlight, some food in case he got hungry, as well as the usual things he brought around everywhere. [break][break]

With the flashlight in his hand Blaine wandered around in the dark of the cave, his Noctowl resting on his left shoulder acting as his only bit of company for the trip. Sure he had other pokemon with him but they were all in the bag, with Noctowl being able to see in the dark the owl seemed like the best choice for the environment. [break][break]

For now the detective just roamed around inside of the cave, flashing the light on the walls every now and then to see if there was anything of interest in here.

Another sharp exhale escaped Blaine's mouth as he finally managed to pull himself from the sitting position to standing upright on his own two feet. At this point he was so exhausted and hurt from the fall he had taken that he gave up on pursing the woman any further at this point. There wasn't much else that could be done at the moment in between the pain, the tiredness and the fact that he had no idea which pokeballs he grabbed left little to no options for now. [break][break]

Seeing the woman look back and shake her head Blaine couldn't help but swear under his breath. The shake was clearly in response to that weak demand for her to get back here that he had struggled out earlier. Right now he was actually kind of glad the thief was walking away, he hurt too much to keep going.[break][break]

Reaching a hand out to hold against his stomach Blaine glanced up at the Swanna still stuck in the webs above. Getting the pokemon out was at least going to be easy, definitely a lot easier compared to having to sit at the hospital to make sure he was actually alright. [break][break]

While he knew the damage the fall had done wasn't anything too severe it still hurt like hell, a rib was probably bruised or something. It was better to make sure everything was good then just assume it was though.[break][break]

Reaching into his pocket Blaine pulled out the Swanna's pokeball again, clicking the button in the middle and returning the bird back into the ball. With one last glance at the woman fading into the distance Blaine turned around and began slowly making his way back into town and eventually to his office. He planned to check out what damage his office suffered if any before putting a shirt on and heading over to the local hospital.

The very brief break from any action had helped to lull Blaine into a false sense of security, with the weird tentacles no longer attacking and the creature seemingly defeated the worst of this was probably over. Right? Reaching his hand out to shake Illeana's Blaine flashed her a quick smile, thinking that things were done and over with. "A companions good, honestly I'd much rather have some then be in weird tentacle world alone." As his newly found companion went around talking to a few other people Blaine instead looked ahead at the castle in the distance; of course the castle sitting atop the hill did seem kind of foreboding but the detective figured that if the creature was blocking the way to it, then whatever they needed to figure out why they were here or to get a way out was inside that castle. [break][break]

While the groups answering being in the castle was just a theory it was the most grounded idea that was rushing through the man's head at the moment so it was what he stuck with. For a few moments Blaine just strolled towards the courtyard with the rest of the people around, quietly trying to figure this whole scenario out. Before he could even officially welcome the guy Illeana invited to tag along with them to the little makeshift group he was greeted with the sight of a hole opening above the guys head, a pair of jaws chomping into the new guy before he was pulled up into the hole. [break][break]

Just as quickly as the momentary break came it had went and they were officially back in hell as what looked like literal zombies were spat out of the hole that opened up. Stepping back in shock Blaine's attention was drawn to the other opening holes in the air, the fear of even more of the zombies showing up now running through his head. However before anything actually came out some kind of pokemon he had never seen before sealed the holes inside of a strange purple globe. As the pokemon spoke out a single word of help and was then dragged into one of the holes any hope of them being saved by a third party seemed to disappear.[break][break]

Stepping deeper into the courtyard with the rest of the trainers stuck here Blaine attempted to reach out and take Illeana's hand, trying to lead the girl farther away from the zombie horde with him. If he could at least save one person in all of this besides himself then that was good enough.[break][break]

As other trainers began sending out their pokemon and launching attacks Blaine's attention was completely caught by the ensuing battle, none of it going towards the weird locked door that prevented them fro entering the castle. Having already made up his mind on helping with the actual battle Blaine would turn his attention to Illeana one more time, muttering out a quick "If this gets too bad just get behind me alright?" [break][break]

Thinking for a brief moment as to how he could take out some of the horde in one blast Blaine continued to watch the other attacks going at the horde, before the fact that they could actually see normally in the courtyard grabbed his attention. Looking up into the sky the Detective couldn't help but get a faint smirk as an idea struck him, sure the move might of worked normally in the forest they had previously been in but now they had a direct view of the moon. [break][break]

"Strider, your turn to do something. Fly up as high as you can and use Moonblast. Joule use Thunder on the group of em yeah?" With his battle commands given his Noctowl immediately flapped its wings and began soaring up into the air, positioning itself with the moon behind it. After a few moments a swirling blue and pink ball of energy gathered above the Owl's head before firing itself down at the group of zombies in the form of a large beam. Raichu on the other hand didn't really have to move much and simply began charging up electricity in itself before firing a wicked thunder attack at the group of zombs.[break][break]

[tl;dr: Took time to think during the break from action, got scared cause zombies just ate a guy, tried to pull illeana reyes into the courtyard with everyone else and said stuff to her, Noctowl flew up and used Moonblast (big blue and pink laser beam thingy) to attack the zombies, Raichu used Thunder to attack zombies too. ]
