Her eyes constantly moved from the streets and sidewalks in front of her to the watch that rested ever so comfortably on her wrist. Eva was impatient, she didn’t want to do this and her eagerness to get it over with left her a tad irritated.

Her attitude would eventually subside as it always did but unfortunately for whoever she was working with they would have to deal with her attitude. With the job they had, she could easily direct her frustration elsewhere and save the poor soul who’d have to deal with her from it.

Eva was a bit surprised by Blue, she hadn’t excepted him to be as slippery has he was being but maybe she should have saw that coming. ”Oh, now she won’t be happy about that.” The Aqua Tail managed to make contact but mere seconds after it did the Gardevoir vanished, teleporting to another part of the arena.

The Pokémon reappeared on the opposite side of the Dragonair, her body floating in the area toward the top part of the caged arena. Her eyes glowed a bright blue, her arm stretched in front of her towards the winds that had become quite the annoyance.

A blue aura surrounded the winds as the Gardevoir exerted her psychic power to grasp a hold on the twister, the Pokémon was using PSYCHIC. With a wave of the Pokémon’s arms, the Twister was split in two, the winds being sent out to either side of the arena and making its way through the stands.

The people watching the show were treated to a nice gust of wind. ”And now let’s have a bit of a scenery change shall we? Use Misty Terrain.” At the command the Gardevoir released a large dome of energy that swallowed the arena.

Eva smiled, what would be Blue’s next move?

It took at lot out of Eva to not snatch the stone from the lad and start examing it but given the more than likely overwhelmed nature of her guest she controlled herself. ”Hello there beautiful!” She was completely mesmorized by the stone, almost forgetting that Sam existed let alone asked her a question.

”Oh?” She barely managed to snap out of her trance. ”Right, right! We have an area just for an occasion like this but first I’d like for you to answer a series of questions for me.” As she spoke she pulled out a notepad and a pen, ready to take notes.

”So let’s start with a simple one Mr. Carter. Please tell me, where and how exactly did you come in contact with this stone?” That would be her first question and whatever Sam’s answer was she would write it down.

”Have you used the stone before? What exactly is the process like and what effects did it have on you and your Pokémon?” Of course they could just see it first hand and there was data on it already but she wanted his account, a living specimen right in front of her was better than reading the notes of another researcher.

”And in your opinion do you believe it to be another step in a Pokémon’s evolution or do you akin it more so to a form change? Like many Pokémon, for example, a Rotom or Darmanitan?”

What lies beyond [Closed]

A message had been sent to the Carter boy to meet the one called Pandora in the city of Rustboro and bring the stone and ring. There the message would direct him to a building in the southern most corner of the city. Inside the building would resemble that of a typical office layout but with an alarming lack of life.

Regardless, the directions said to enter a room with the designation of 5B. Once inside the rocket would be greeted to the icy stare of a Gardevoir whom which stood at the other end of a long wooden table. Laid on the said table would be a laptop with nothing more than a smiley face on the screen.

The camera of said device was on which allowed for Professor Dumont to watch Sam despite his inability to see her. ”Ah you made it safe and sound! Wonderful!” Her voice would break through the awkward silence she was sure would arise between the man and the Gardevoir.

”Sorry that I had to make your way all the way to this building, had to make sure you weren’t being followed.” Most likely unknown to the other rocket Eva had sent her Ariados to track the man, placing a strand of silk on him to follow his path.

The bug kept its distance while also making sure no one else followed him. Any foul play and this meeting would be going in a drastically different direction. The Ariados previously mentioned crawled into the room, racing across the room to the other side where the Gardevoir stood.

”Alright my Gardevoir here will take you to the lab, just grab on to her.” She failed to mention that the Gardevoir would be using teleport and that might be a bit disorientating but Carter was a big boy he’d be alright. And Artemis would not be gentle about it at all.

As soon as there would be contact the psychic type would use Teleport, whisking the human and the Ariados away to their destination. They’d be brought to a long hallway, the Gardevoir would lead the way down the hallway and through the double doors which would open to the larger lab area.

Eva’s Pokémon was scattered about, each one having their own task to complete for the scientist. Sam would be stopped from looking around or moving by Eva’s Incineroar blocking his path. The fire-type Pokémon pointed to a sign labeled “All personnel must be decontaminated”.

”Thank you Ifrit but I don’t think our guest here wants to be flung into the decontamination chamber. Though I’m going to need you to jump in there before we can get down to business but first!” The Pokémon growled lowly in response to his master’s words, annoyance clear on his face.

Eva rolled over to Sam, jumping out of her seat and completely igorning whatever sort of sense of personal space the man might have. ”So you brought it right?! The key to furthering evolution?!”

”Whatever you say.” Eva laughed.

Might not be the most mentally stimulating fight ever but at least Blue’s personality made it entertaining at least. It was more about putting a show on for the people in the crowd so she shouldn’t expect much.

The winds that were summoned by the Dragonair were annoying, at least for Eva, her Gardevoir didn’t feel anything. The woman grabbed a hold of the metal framing of the cage to prevent herself from being blown around any longer, though the feeling of weightlessness was always fun.

”Moonblast please, Artemis. Let’s put an end to these winds, they’re messing up my hair.” The Gardevoir nodded and then carried out the order firing a blast of energy toward the Dragonair.

Eva took a moment to look over blue; his initial response was interesting to put it nicely. There was so much that needed to be followed up when someone said something like that but Eva would put that to the side for another day.

Delving into that might open a can of worms that the woman didn’t want to deal with. As long as this didn’t come back to bite her in the ass she didn’t care, though this situation did give her an idea for late that brought a momentary smile to her face as she thought of it.

Him returning the question only seemed fair to her and was expected. ”To put it simply I’m in rocket because I get to do what I love with practically no restrictions or limitations.” She shrugged, quickly noticing the two Pokémon that were fighting nearby.

”Hoenn has been a breeding ground for so many interesting and bizarre events that I just had to come here and Rocket provided the best situation for me to chase this curiosity.” There was of course more to this story but Eva was much too distracted with the nearby Pokémon to go any further.

”Now one day I might tell you the full story if you’re curious but if you’d excuse me.” Her words began to trail off as she approached the battling Magmar and Drapion. The two Pokémon who had been locked in battle only turned their angered gaze away from each other to the woman who stood before them.

”Hello boys!” she smiled brightly, admiring the two specimens in front of her. ”Alright how about the two of you be just the sweetest things and jump into these capsules with no fuss?” She asked, holding two empty capsules in her head.

She was met in response with the Magmar throwing a Fire Punch her way only to be stopped by her Incineroar which had popped out of his capsule through his own will to protect his master. ”Bummer, you picked the hard way.” She sighed, releasing her Starmie from its pokeball.

Her Volcarona would sit by as these two Pokémon did the brunt of the work. A Flare Blitz on the Drapion and a Hydro Pump on the Magmar were enough to put the Pokémon in exhausted states, a result of their previous battle no doubt. Making them easy pickings for capture but Eva only threw one capsule at the drapion in order to seal the deal.

”Blue! Do you think you’d be willing to help me out with something? A simple job, real in and out situation.”
